The room and staff were excellent. We were in the wonderful Jr. Suite which was spacious, had a very comfortable bed (difficult to find in Italy!) and we were able to log in and watch Netflix on a cold rainy dark day.
Unfortunately, on Christmas night, there was a party in the alley beneath our windows. They were very loud, and the sound echoed very loudly up into our room. They carried on well past 2AM. I had to wear earplugs to try to sleep, but my poor husband was up and wide awake until after 3AM. He was tired and was upset that we booked this beautiful room, and yet got no sleep.

What a gorgeous room! Art Deco design with plenty of space and amenities. We stayed in a King deluxe room with a very comfortable bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, wardrobe, dresser and anything else you might need. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed breakfast one morning (not included), which was delicious. Location was great as well. I would definitely book this hotel again!

La Maison du Sage’s staff greeted us on arrival, and escorted us to our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel has an upscale feeling, despite the vacant neighboring building. Everything was walkable from this location. We would definitely stay here again!

They offered us a happy hour however when we arrived we were turned away because it was closed for a private event. Location was great.

We haves stayed at this hotel four times, including two occasions this trip, and enjoyed each visit but frankly found it a little better the first couple times. They used to have an afternoon tea/proseco session for the guests in a comfortable setting within the hotel. On our first trip this service wasn’t offered and though this stop it is, the setting is now a cold sterile outside gravel covered seating area. We love this conveniently located hotel with great rooms and wonderful staff and hope to see it return to its better days.

This is not just a hotel, reception greeted us in a friendly manner and our room got ready in few minutes to check-in. All the staffs are friendly and welcoming, you will feel you are in your home. Room was clean with a beautiful decorations. Breakfast was awesome and Acenzia is wonderful and caring when you have breakfast with an exceptional customer service. This hotel is a museum with plenty of places outside of room for relaxing and super close to everything in the beautiful city of Florence. We hope to have a chance to stay here again.

Amazing location just a walk away from Christmas market, we we’re here in December. Rooms were extremely clean, quiet at night, you couldn’t hear anyone else in the other rooms like at most hotels. The service was great, attentive and friendly. Wish we had planned to stay for a longer time here.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is super convenient, with many attractions within walking distance. The area is also nice and quiet at night, so we got a really good night’s sleep. What surprised us the most was that it was my partner’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared an aperitif for us, making us feel so welcomed. Huge thanks to the team for such a memorable stay—can’t recommend it enough!

Madison du Sage has beautiful rooms with an excellent breakfast served in the morning by a very friendly staff. Every night we came back to a sparkling clean room. The AC and bedding were perfect. I would recommend a “sleep sound” machine for those of you who end up in the rooms that have a window adjacent to a bar on the street below. But the white noise machine canceled anything we may have heard and we slept great every night. I highly recommend this hotel also for its location next to the beautiful Santa Croce church, a must see when you are in Florence.

We got upgraded complimentary to a beautiful room with a view of the Basilica of Santa Croce - it was amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

My only comment would be the breakfast was very limited and there was only one member of staff on duty to manage the requests. There was very little to go around.

Other than this, it was a very pleasant visit and we’d come back again.

It was unclear initially how to check in since the reception desk is up a twisted stairway and not clear from the signage. This should be rectified.
Also, breakfast is lovely if you get there early enough, before they start to run out of things...then they do not replenish. Annoying.
Otherwise, all great. Would stay here again!

La Maison du Sage was a beautiful hotel. It was comfy but also had a lovely charm. There were little touches, such as toiletries, slippers, and a desk that made my home away from home perfect. There were some appliance issues, such as my toilet seat being disconnected a bit from the toilet, and the issue of water coming out the shower no matter which shower head I chose. Overall, those did not deter from my stay. I was solo traveling and the room was wayyy bigger than I was expecting for a typical Italian hotel. Also, the location (right in Piazza de Santa Croce) was amazing.

Great stay in a great area.

Very nice hotel less than a block from Santa Croce and minutes walk to pretty much everything you’re going to want to see on your first visit to Florence. We stayed here because it’s a more quiet (but definitely still lively) neighborhood on the southeast edge of city center.

We had a jr suite which was huge (550sq ft) with a full living/dining room and kitchen. Bathroom was well appointed, plenty of hot water.

We a slight issue with getting the air conditioner down to the level we wanted. This may have been simple an issue of having a larger room and more space to cover. We had it running at full blast (17 Celsius) but it never got below 23 on the thermostat. It was comfortable enough though and we didn’t even bother to report it to the staff who I’m sure would have looked into it.

Overall, this was a wonderful stay and i totally would stay here again if/when in Florence.

No AC - No Discount.

The hotel was fair and the service staff was nice. However our AC didn’t work so we roasted. Hard to sleep and they wouldn’t call for repairs on the weekend so we waited until Monday for a service tech who determined they needed a part. So we roasted again our last night. We asked for a discount because we paid specifically for a hotel with AC but they said NO Discount. So disappointing.

WOW! This art deco property was phenomenal. The room was exquisite and felt luxurious. I was incredibly sad when we had to check out. Biggest bed I think I’ve ever slept in and it was like a cloud. The staff were amazing and helped to arrange a cooking class for us as well.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were spacious, beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was really helpful and friendly and made us feel very taken care of. We did notice mosquitoes in the room at night and had some bites. That was the only negative thing I’d have to say. We would definitely recommend this to friends. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay!

It was a really nice hotel, only a couple floors were the hotel and very close to the city centre. Breakfast was alright, and there's a lively bar next door at night. Very nice decor and personnel only sometimes present at the location. It was good but not great for the cost. It felt like an air bnb. We loved Florence but wouldn't stay here specifically again. Again, nothing wrong with the hotel at all!

This was a gorgeous hotel. The room was huge and the bathroom beautiful. Plenty of room to hang up clothes. Water and coffee were provided every day. Staff was very helpful getting cabs etc. Beautiful outside garden to have aperativos in or eat a sandwich. Could definitely live in that room. Will be back next time in Florence.

Remember to use their shuttle service to and from airport. Taxi's charge 20$ for a 2 minute drive around the corner from the airport. The dining is ok but ordered the ravioli dish and they serve 4 ravioli's for 18$. Outrageous.

The property was in a very convenient location for walking around Florence and the area felt safe and was close to lots of attractions. The only downside of the location was that there was a bar right outside our bedroom window and this was quite noisy until about 12:30am most nights.

The room was large and had everything we needed. The bathroom felt a little dated and there was no full length mirror or space around the sink to put toiletries/makeup etc.

When we checked in it was not immediately obvious where the reception was as the hotel is part of a large block of flats. Better signage and a clearer welcome would have been appreciated. The sign was for Polo Hospitality rather than Maison du Sage.

There was not someone on reception all night, which was fine as we didn't need any assistance but worth bearing in mind.

Great value. Got the family suite plus two double rooms, which was perfect for 7 family members in total. Family suite had living, dining and kitchen space where we all could comfortably hang out and have breakfast. Wide street in front was convenient for taxis and loading and unloading luggage. Santa Croce area is a bit off the beaten path but easy walking to all of Florence's sights. Highly recommended.

One of the best hotel experiences on my life. We were in Florence as a family of 5. The suite was huge, so awesome for a group who had been living on top of one another for a week. We arrived late and the staff was very accommodating. They also were very patient with me when I had to deal with credit card issues before arriving. The location was perfect too. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend is because I’d hate for it to become too popular. This place was a joy.

Wow what can I say I was speechless. The entrances to the apartments are grand. You are greeted by a red carpet. The floor features several comfortable sitting areas on ornate sofas characterised by art deco paintings. The furniture is of a lacquered Italian wood. It is reminiscent of a presidential suite. The bathroom is of black slated tiles and a modern black slated floor to the shower. I enjoyed the rain forest shower. All the toilettes you need are supplied down to the cotton buds, hair dryer and cotton buds. The bedroom consist again of an art deco theme. The bed is very comfortable and the furniture is of lacquered Italian wood setting a tasteful back drop to the room. The reception staff walked us to our rooms. Let us know the code for the front door and the catering staff are very friendly and made a wonderful breakfast. I felt very spoilt and well looked after. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

The rooms were larger than many European hotel rooms, the beds were comfortable and the towels were large and plentiful. There were also in room safes. Their website stated there was a self service bar, which was only a cabinet in a hallway with a few bottles of various liquors. There wasn't a cube of ice or any mixer to be found and the seating areas were in the hallways and very cramped. The staff were very nice but not helpful about any area activities or how to navigate reservations, etc. We only used the breakfast once, but it was fine. WE wanted to be able to sit down before dinner for a drink with friends, so this was disappointing. Otherwise, we liked the hotel facilities.

We stayed at Maison du Sage for three days and loved it! The room was beautiful, the AC worked fine, the view was incredible, the location was perfect. There was a little noise from the street, but nothing that ear plugs wouldn't fix. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We didn't get the breakfast, so can't attest to that. Very comfortable beds/bedding. Overall wonderful!
