I have very mixed opinions on this hotel. Some things were great :

Location less than 4 min walk from the train station. Close to many areas and only 30 mins walk to port.
Room size was comfortable for one person. Shower was excellent with lovely toiletries.
You have lots of options at breakfast. Food is of a high quality and staff welcoming and helpful.

The following would have made my stay more comfortable given I was there for 4 nights

One complementary bottle of water
Access to coffee / tea making facilities in room or reception
Wine available in minibar
Tissues available in bathroom

However my main complaint was the heat. The room was extremely warm. You can’t control the temperature well in your own room. I woke up a lot due to being too hot. It was too noisy to keep my window open as I was overlooking a busy street. I did open it periodically.

I enjoyed my stay here and while I have listed 4 small suggested changes my main reason for not giving 5 stars is the room temperature.

The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful.
Some small downsides. There was very little storage space in the rooms, so we had to live out of suitcases. There were several small steps along the corridors, making it hard for the mobility impaired.
The location is mixed. It is close to the station, metro and buses, which is good. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby (which is fortunate as there is no restaurant in the hotel beyond the breakfast room.) The main streets seem basically safe enough (although we had to stop a pickpocketer stealing from our backpack outside the hotel) but the side streets felt dubious. None of this detracted from a good stay.

I didnt feel safe when leaving the property, but this is not the properties fault. Going out during the day was fine, but late at night, I did not feel safe. But again not the Hotel's fault and nothing they can do.
We liked the food nearby and the train station nearby. Easy to get around. I loved the windows opening to the outside world. The room was fine, we only stayed a few days to our next destination.

The staff members were wonderful. They were very helpful and friendly. On our last day we had to leave at 5:15 AM to catch a flight. Michael, the staff member on duty, was amazing. He arranged for our taxi to the airport and processed our check out quickly and professionally.
The hotel was very clean and beautiful. We were disappointed that the pool was not open, but we stayed in mid-October. The breakfast was wonderful - many quality items to pick from. The location was walkable from the train station. The neighborhood was noisy, but with our window closed it did not bother us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!

Receptionist was very unfriendly and rude. Wanted to hold our passports which we did not agree to do.
Sinks didn't drain well and shower would start randomly dripping. Mold in the shower.
Rooftop bar didn't smell good and bartenders acted like they were doing us a favor to serve us. Pool was not clean.
Wouldn't stay there again even for 1 night.

Difficult to rate this hotel - first what we liked: the hotel itself is compact & fine. The rooms are a good size, good quality, and cleaning was excellent every day. The breakfast was good - only the breakfast staff could have been a little more welcoming. Reception & door staff were very friendly.
We didn’t like: The stairs around the lift need to be vacuum cleaned - we walked up to the roof bar and the first impression wasn’t great.
I have no idea if our room was upgraded as it wasn’t mentioned at reception (?) and we weren’t offered or reminded that we qualified for free drinks as part of the Expedia package. I queried it when we checked out and was told
I could have requested it at the bar - I’d forgotten as we’d booked a number of hotels and it would have been good to have been reminded at check in. Finally - not much the hotel can do about this but the location wasn’t great - dirty streets (unfortunately a lot of Napoli suffers from this problem) but also it’s not in a touristic area and on the wrong side of the city for the majority of attractions. The nearest amenity would be the station which is a 10min walk.

The air conditioning was not working as effectively as expected, although the outside temperature was very hot. The actual hotel was very nice, the staff was very nice, the breakfast was decent if it’s included in your rate, I wouldn’t pay extra for it. What was annoying was having to turn in your room key (and the room safe key) when you leave the hotel, so you have to wait in line coming and going every time. The room safe was teeny tiny about a 6” cube, so couldn’t fit in our ipads or anything of that size.

Finally, the area is not great. Homeless sleeping nearby, immigrants selling what looks like flea market items nightly. One night when we were coming home from Toledo we asked a military officer about the metro, which was shut down for some reason. He told us that we should take the bus and not go on foot. We wondered if it was because it was too far or not safe. There was only one night where my wife felt unsafe walking in the neighborhood but we were usually back before 10 pm.

El segundo día de la estancia NO SE HIZO EL SERVICIO DE LIMPIEZA DE LA HABITACIÓN... a pesar de haber puesto el letrero de \"Favor de hacer el cuarto\".
Cuando llegamos en la noche vemos que NO ESTÁ HECHO, bajo a recepción y el Night Manager se desentiende... dice que \"ese NO es su problema, que al día siguiente lo harán\"... pero no me da ninguna razón ni solución para la falta de servicio por el que pagué por adelantado y que NO RECIBIMOS.
Al día siguiente hablé con el supuesto Gerente Fran.cesco, fue inutil, falto de tacto y sin discurrir ninguna solución para COMPENSAR el servicio no entregado.
Demandé el reembolso del valor de ese día (noche) en el cual yo no recibí el servicio por el que pagué, y el Gerente Fran.cesco prometió hablar con Expedia (Hoteles.com) desde entonces para resolverlo y hoy que hice el check-out me dijo que no había hecho nada ni hablado con nadie, ni resuelto nada... así que por este medio me dirijo a Hoteles.com y le solicito la DEVOLUCIÓN del valor de una noche del hospedaje ya que NO RECIBÍ EL SERVICIO COMPLETO POR EL QUE PAGUÉ.

Además, es una pena absoluta ver que hoteles.com NO SE ASEGURA de revisar los hoteles y las zonas donde están éstos ya que este palazzo firenze está en una de las peores zonas de Nápoles, rodeado de bandas delictivas y de grupos mafiosos vendedores de droga y artículos falsificados!! Hoteles.com no debería siquiera tener a este tipo de hoteles en su lista de ofrecimientos para nosotros los clientes, es una vergüenza!

All the staff including the rooftop bartener we so friendly and helpful. I was able to easily walk to the hotel from the train station when I arrived. When leaving, they arranged for a taxi to the airport which I paid for at the hotel. The taxi arrived in minutes. The other 5 hotels we stayed at along the coast did not have a elevator and my son had to carry the luggage up and down the stairs. It was great to have an elevator!

The hotel was fine, however it was did that they had a key where you leave it at the front desk when you leave and pick it up when you come back. Seems it’s stuck in the 1960’s that way as this is what you seem in the old movies. In addition the wifi in my room did not work. On occasion I would get 1 bar and but usually nothing.

It was overall a good experience. From the time we checked in, Mauricio was very helpful and the front desk people were very helpful to us. Bartenders and breakfast servers was very friendly and helpful. However, there was one guy named, Francesco (front desk) who was not friendly and won’t even look at you. We saw him on the 2nd day we were asking for our keys but he didn’t smile or look but almost threw the keys to us. We thought he was just having a bad day but the next and the following days he was looking very pissed even to other guests. We thought he is in the wrong industry working. We know how the other workers or the company in general would be affected with one single bad review. We value how the hotel is keeping its quality and cleanliness despite the location which is a very chaotic outside. I still feel that the hotel deserves a 4 star rating even with the bad experience with Francesco. Thank you again for the warm hospitality.

Clean hotel in a bad neighborhood

This hotel is about a 5 min walk from Naples Central train station. Having traveled to many countries in Europe, the area around the station was by far the scariest and dirtiest. This atmosphere holds true for the neighborhood around the hotel -- police were readily patrolling the area.

The good: the hotel is clean and has a great breakfast. The staff was nice, moving us to a quieter courtyard room due to the noisy street.

I would not come here again, solely due to the area. If you don't mind the shady area, this is a great train station hotel in which to stay.

Within a 8 minutes of train station. Internet connection was problematic…had to go to the bar or stand in hallway by the elevator for a connection. One staff said they are working at fixing it, while others didn’t know of problem.

Nice breakfast buffet. Few restaurants in area. Comfort was okay though pillows were underwhelming.

The property is a welcome respite from the noise and dirt in the areas. As soon as you walk through the doors, you felt safe, comfortable and can relax. The staff was amazing and so helpful, the room was great, very comfortable and had high end room amenities which was a lovely surprise. The restaurant on the 5th floor and breakfast was very pretty and well stocked with food and drinks. A gem of a hotel in a tough area!
