Very friendly and helpful staff on Reception. Old palazzo charm - lovely views from terraces. Room size and bathroom size both fine - shower could be a bit hit and miss with temp but manageable. Plumbing is quite loud especially when other rooms use flushes/showers late at night (and why must people slam doors?!) Good variety at breakfast. Location also good as 10mins to Duomo & 20 mins to train station. Definitely recommend.

The Palazzo Graziani was a beautiful respite in a busy city. Behind the giant, ancient wooden doors was a welcoming, clean bed and breakfast. The breakfast had a variety of meat, cheese, breads, cakes, coffee, tea and juices. The room had comfortable beds. Location was convenient to many good restaurants. If you do the pasta cooking experience with Cooking with Elvis, it is a 5 minute walk from this inn.

My daughter needed a place to stay for an evening. I was able to book this great place from the United States, on line. She said that the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and quaint, plus she was fortunate enough to be able to check in early (normally I don’t think so, but I’m not sure). She said that she would stay there again.

The shower drain was blocked. Since we self checked in late, we had to shower in ankle high water. They tried to fix it a couple of times during our stay. Better but not fully fixed.

Breakfast starts at 8am. This information is not listed on Expedia. All our tours were early to avoid crowds, so we are missing breakfast we paid for on most days.

The safe in our room is old and not working during our 4 day stay.

The common area has no AC, hot with mosquitoes.

No front desk from 8pm to 9am, so you are on your own during this time. The staff forgot to leave towels for us one day, so we had to air dry after showers…

Hotel location was perfect. Room was nice and breakfast was ok. Our biggest issue was the air conditioning. We stayed 3 nights, the first 2 it worked it the last night it stopped working. Unfree had to check out early in the morning so couldn’t let them know. Breakfast only starts at 8:00, so if you have an early tour like we did you’re out of luck.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Palazzo Geaziani Hotel

On arrival, I was impressed by the location of the Palazzo Geaziani Hotel, which is conveniently situated near shopping and restaurants. The hotel also felt secure while inside, which initially made me feel at ease.

However, my stay quickly turned into a nightmare. Two of the rooms we booked were infested with bed bugs. We woke up covered in bites and I took pictures to document the situation, which I immediately shared with hotel management. I requested a room change or at least to have the mattresses replaced and the rooms cleaned. Unfortunately, housekeeping had already left for the day and the hotel was fully booked, so they could not accommodate my request.

Management offered me a refund for one night, which felt like a small gesture given the circumstances. I informed them that we would return from our tour between 9:00 and 9:30 pm to resolve the situation, but when we returned, no one was at the front desk. We tried calling other hotels, but unfortunately, everything was fully booked.

We were forced to pull the mattress into the hallway to inspect it for more bed bugs and found two more. It was an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience, especially as a travel agent who was not only personally affected but also had a client with me who experienced the same issue.

I asked management to compensate us for the inconvenience, but nothing further was offered beyond the refund for one night.

I will not be returning.

I don’t know where to begin. At first we really liked this property, but that quickly changed once we slept on the hard rock bed. Saying it was uncomfortable is an understatement. It was literally like sleeping on the floor and don’t get me started on the pillows. We would wake up super tired everyday. Also the lady that cleans the room, just left my stuff on the mopped floor and not nicely. And she didn’t even leave us toilet paper. We had to keep going up to the front desk to ask for it. Our next room neighbor came banging on the door saying we were being too loud; the volume was at 10 on Netflix… just shows how thin the walls are. The fridge wasn’t cool. The only good thing about this place is the location and the rooftop. We hated staying here soooo much that we left to another hotel two days before our trip ended and the guy was rude about it and said no refund. Save your money.

Loved my 5 night stay at Palazzo Graziani. A gorgeous old building (300+ years) with thoughtfully updated rooms. I stayed in a single room and although smallish it had all the amenities needed, including a kettle, tea and a small fridge and smart use of space. Spotlessly clean. Check was easy, all the staff were friendly and gracious.

Location was perfect, a short walk from the Duomo and everything you might want to see in Firenze. It’s in a neighborhood right by a small piazza with great places to eat or have apertivo and slightly off the tourist track (bonus!).

Breakfast was very good and the view of THE dome from the roof terrace was the winner. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely time at Palazzo Graziani. Our room was comfortable and clean. We loved the breakfast and the rooftop terrace. I would have been nice to be able to sit on the rooftop and enjoy a bottle of wine but they did not allow any food or drink outside of breakfast hours. I do understand their reasonings but still would have been nice. The location was excellent, close walk to everything. There is a popular bar just down the road so the street is crowded with people until about 2am. However, you can’t hear the noise in the hotel which is great. Highly recommend.

What a great experience to stay in a palace!

The rooms were very clean, and the decor was beautiful and ornate. I truly felt like I was in a palace. The breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were not small, and there were sitting areas all around the hotel. We were able to sit on the rooftop with stunning views of the Duomo and city. The most difficult aspect of the stay was the restricted desk hours from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We had a difficult time paying the city tax because we left early in the morning before we could contact anyone at the desk.

We loved this hotel!

Our favorite thing about Palazzo Graziani was the rooftop patio, with great views of the Duomo and all around. We were up there almost every evening to watch the sunset. Second best thing was the location, since we were headed one day to the Uffizi and the next to the Accademia. This is a fine hotel, with a good breakfast, attentive and helpful front desk, and spacious rooms.

The safety of the property was excellent. The location was excellent. The quality of the rooms and bathrooms were fantastic. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spotless and well maintained. Having a kettle for tea was a plus. The rooftop terrace… wow, unparalleled and unobstructed views of the Duomo. But that’s not the best part… the staff is exceptional. The gentleman at the front desk when we first arrived in the morning was very helpful. We arrived well before our checkin time. We were a party of 8 so had four rooms. Only one room was ready. He permitted us to get in that room early. Leave luggage. Use restroom and freshen up. Then, upon checkout, we were struggling to book a taxi ahead of time (do your research on this - it’s a bit challenging). We needed to leave at 9:00-9:10 AM to get us to the train station. With luggage it’s a good long walk so walking was not an option. We tried to reserve a taxi ahead of time via email & WhatsApp. We were told to call 10 mins before needing the taxi on the day off by the taxi company. On the morning of they didn’t respond to text on WhatsApp and the number the taxi service gave never picked up when we called. The front desk gentleman (I wish I could remember his name) started his shift at 9. We were desperate when he walked in. He immediately dropped everything and helped us… had two taxis there within 10 minutes! He was a lifesaver!! If you’re looking for lodging in Florence… this is the place. Book it!

I accidentally left my black jacket in my room after I checked out. I contacted the hotel to inquire if there was a jacket left in my room and they replied back right away to state that they had the jacket. I could pick it up at the hotel or they could make arrangements to have it shipped. I picked up the jacket a week later once I returned to the area. Really appreciated the hospitality.

I booked a double room 7 months ago, at check this week I was given a room with a kitchen with a sign saying we touch anything in the kitchen, 30euros. Front desk coverage only 6 hours daily. After being locked out of room for 24 hours, no one answered their posted emergency phone after 40 tries and no voicemail option. We left our key in our room and because there was no desk clerk and no one answering the emergency line, we were left with no option but sit in their tiny, lobby over night where there is no furniture .Posted sign saying you arrive after 8 pm, you have to pay an extra 30 euros to check in. Manager refused to refund one nights fee even though his poorly and minimally managed business failed to have any personnel available to help us and we had no sleep for 24 hours. Customer service is zero here.

Overall, room was very clean but the air conditioning did not work... it is a small unit on the wall and it did not cool the room at all. There is no one at the front desk until 3 pm, if you arrive early there is nowhere to store your luggage. You need to wait outside the building with your bags until someone shows up. Not a great way to start a vacation!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Palazzo Graziani. The staff were very helpful and courteous and even recommended some great nearby restaurants. The room was very clean, with tall floor to ceiling windows. The property itself is in a great area, a close ten minute the Duomo but not so close that it’s too loud. There is a fantastic piazza close by by the lions fountain pub that has lots of excellent restaurants and people watching. Most of the people in this area are Italians so definitely feels like a more authentic experience… not a tourist trap!

Best of all the roof top terrace gives you a 360 degree view of the city… what better way to wake up than a breakfast overlooking the Duomo! 10 out of 10!

Palazzo Graziani is a wonderful hotel. The staff are as helpful and friendly as any I have ever experienced. They let us check in early to clean up on a whirlwind 2-day trip to Florence so we were able to use every minute there to see the city. They kept our bags until we left the next evening. I really enjoy the classic style of the architecture and the room interior design which kept the antique style. Every room is unique. The hall way and the roof sitting area are the fun thing to explore.

Great spot for New Year's Eve. We viewed the fireworks from the rooftop terrace. Have never seen anything like it before - fireworks going off all around in every direction. Incredible. Interesting that the front desk staff didn't even mention it on check-in. Only one other couple was up there.

The overall inn was nice, however, our room was in the newly remodeled section. Remodeled with a very futuristic modern vibe. OK, not for everyone and OK but the heat would not shut down, even at night. Spoke with the very nice woman at the front desk twice about it but nothing was done. Luckily, we realized we just had to keep the door to the bedroom closed at all times to keep the incessant heat out. Also, if you have any dust allergies - beware - were suffering by day 3/4 and suspect the culprit was the curtains hanging at the huge window because otherwise the room seemed clean.

The first day at breakfast (New Year's Eve morning) there were no cleared tables and had to sit at a dirty, uncleared table and just shove the other dishes aside. After that, there were two people working at all times so maybe someone complained.

Overall, stayed here for three nights and would recommend with these comments in mind.

The place was nice and clean. Thin walls though but that didnt bother me as much. The main thing that stood out and I found suspicious was that a few of my makeup went missing and the last time I used them and put it away was at this hotel ? When i left Florence I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere. I never even left the hotel with it in my bag. So I'm pretty certain it was there. The hotel said they didn’t find anything when I inquired about my missing items. Im not accusing anyone of anything - all im saying is if you plan on staying here watch your things !!!???? :) Eg put your valuables in the safe 😉

Anyway thats all.

historical building, and great location.

This property was very nice and breakfast was simple but good to get your day started. Location is excellent with most museums and must see spots within walking distance. Very nice towels for European hotels. Easy to get in and out. The receptionists were friendly and easy to communicate to. They organized taxis for us and they were spot on. Only issue we had is that they were not that knowledable about tours and restaurants in the area, we had to rely on Google. Wonder location and well kept ancient building, very fun stay here!

Fantastic location in an historic building , great views of Il Duomo from the rooftop terrace - you are even allowed to bring up your wine up thereto watch the sunset ! We absolutely loved this place

Lovely, fairly recently updated property, but still retains original character. Walking distance to attractions.
Beautiful roof top terrace with 360 view of Florence. Large well accommodating rooms. Could have used a place to set luggage. Room faced the street and noise was an issue one night. Breakfast was decent, but coffee had a very different taste as we couldn't drink it.
