Nice convenient guest house at a good rate. I liked that there was somewhere to get fresh drinking water in the lobby area. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that I had to walk through the lobby area to get to the external private bathroom for my room (note: I knew it would be external but not exactly where it was. I was grateful for the large bathrobe that was supplied!)

Location is good. Didn’t like that there is no one at the front desk after 12:30PM. Also didn’t understand why clean towels are only provided every three days (if you want new ones you need to pay 8 euros) Is that not a basic amenity that should be provided daily to guests? Overall not worth the price and would not stay here again. Next time I will book a hotel.

The guest house was fine if you only go for sleep but the entrance was very dark and scary I should use my cell phone light to see the stairs and get in to the building.

Beautiful old building extremely central, 5 minute walk to the Duomo. Comfortable room, safe area and easy check-in.
The private washroom was very nice, fully equipped and clean, the only negative was the lack of ventilation that in hot days made it very humid

Great room for a great price!

Very nice affordable room within walking distance of most attractions in Florence. We felt very safe with 3 locked doors from street to room. We were on the 3rd floor, and the elevator was slow, tiny and cumbersome so we just took the stairs. The bathroom and room was very clean and comfortable.

Would definitely stay there again

We stayed there 4 nights and would definitely stay again. Comfortable, clean, welcoming, friendly. The location is great. Lots of restaurants around. There is a grocery store around the corner. The reception area has maps (thank you!) and a water refill station at no extra charge (triple thank you!). It has not only plain cold water but also carbonated water. The host we met was a pleasure to talk to, and she called a taxi for us when we were leaving. Thank you, again!

The location was very good, near food and stores and bus stop. Would have liked a breakfast option, but there was a panni cafe that was nearby and excellent. The elevator was very tempermental and I was afraid to use it even though we were on the top floor when the doors wouldn't open. Good communication with the manager in advance of our arrival.

The building was so noisy, I was woken up every night in the early hours, to doors slamming people running in the corridor and noise from other visitors in the reception area. I saw a member of staff only once the whole time I was there. The building is not family friendly and the lift did not work so had to climb a huge set of stairs multiple times a day.

Great location, in the city center, walking distance to most of the attractions, 15-20 minutes to the train station. Very clean room, comfortable beds. Checking out early was possible and easy.
Online self-checkin could be troublesome. The video instructions on how to get into the room should be updated as the black box on the wall has been changed to a white box. But Stefanie was very patient and helpful. She responded to any of our questions timely. Thanks!

The staff, Stefania and Beatrice, is extremely kind and helpful. The location is amazing, we visited everything on foot. Very clean, beautifully decorated rooms. I have nothing bad to say about this place! I’ll definitely come back and have already recommended it to an aunt that is visiting Florence this year.

Nice Guest house..but walls are super thin and you can hear everyone..I felt like I had to whisper and tip toe around..nothing you can do about it for it is an old building. If you are looking for someone at front desk then this is not the place for you. Staff is there for a short time in morning. The one girl we saw at desk was very nice. Guest house is located near all sites. We would probably not stay here again only because of the eerie quietness and the feeling that you would be scolded if you talked to loud

Location was amazing, 5 minute walk from centre. Rooms were spacious and had everything needed for a short visit. Didn’t have breakfast as it was extra but plenty of options to eat just outside and a small supermarket just 5 minutes away. Overall a good stay and would go back due to location but not for facilities.

Hotel was located in an excellent part of the old quarter. Air conditioning and comfortable bed with free distilled water. The women working at the reception were very sweet and helpful. I would say one of my better stays overall.

We had a double room with private bath across a hallway from it. The bathroom was not an issue as we rarely saw the other guests. Robes were provided for the stroll across the hall. The room was quite small but was nicely furnished, although clothes storage space was limited. Staff were very friendly.

This is a beautiful little bed and breakfast in the heart of Florence. It is difficult to get to but there is parking right next door for 25 euros a night. The woman behind the desk is absolutely lovely but she is only there during the day-so if you need help at night you are on your own. NOTE: hotel is a 2 floor walk-up and there is no one to help you with luggage-so if you travel with a lot of gear this is not a good choice. My room was decorated beautifully with original frescos that were several hundred years old. Very romantic.

Highly recommended! Quaint little hotel with a comfortable room and perfect location to Duomo (5 minute walk). Directions given beforehand were clear and made the hotel easy to find. The staff were friendly and the side balcony was great for relaxing with a glass of wine. The proximity to eateries and the center was the highlight of the location. There's cafe just a 2 mins away with cheap pastries and the best hot chocolate!

Pros:
Free water machine with both bubbled and regular water, friendly staff.
Cons:
Separate bathroom, MOSQUITOES in the room, no AC & you can't open the windows because there will be even more mosquitos, lots of stairs and no elevator (if you have heavy luggage it's no fun).

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely guest house.
Our room has drawings on the wall which was great. We felt like locals staying such hotel in Casa Rovai.
Design of the room was also great. However, visitors who doesn't like old fashioned style wouldn't enjoy staying in this guest house.
It is 10 minutes walking distance to the center.
You might have difficulties while finding the location of the hotel since there is no sign on the building to show that you find the Casa Rovai.
Hotel staff was helpful. You get some suggestions for the breakfast since there is not a B&B concept.

Very nice staff and guests. We would stay there again. Finding it on the first day would be a real problem without a good taxi driver or good knowledge of the city.
Letting them know when you are arriving is important. You want someone at the desk to let you in.

Wonderful, comfortable stay!

Very close to all the major attractions but in a quiet area. Our room was spacious, quiet & felt grand because of the frescoed walls and extremely high ceilings. Cute common areas for guests. Great a/c, wifi. Staff was friendly and profressional. Definitely one of our favorite stays on our trip!
