Perfect stay! Not only was the check-in smooth, but everything else was also satisfying. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the location was ideal. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like. I’ll definitely be back!

Review for the Hotel UNA in Florence, Italy
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. While the hotel looks modern, the rooms have several issues, both in appearance and functionality. We were first given a room with a damaged wall (as shown in the photo) and a malfunctioning bathroom. We reported it and were moved to another room, but in the second room, the sink and shower were clogged—they had to send a plumber just so we could use it.
It was a disaster. I do not recommend this hotel.
I’m sharing this review for the benefit of future guests

Was checked in by a lovely lady who made us aware of our VIP status and amenities with it. The hotel was kind enough to hold our luggage when we checked out so we could explore before heading to the train station. They were also kind enough to ask about arranging a taxi for pick up to take us to the train station.

The staffs were so nice, helpful and professional.

The bathtub was old. WiFi didn’t work very well. No plug to charge smartphone near the bed. We were 3 guests, and we had to ask for multi plug outlet to charge our phone (it was located far from the head part of the beds), the breakfast was not high quality.

The hotel is beautiful, i love the architectural design modern meets vintage fused together to form a beautiful structure.
I love how each room door tells a story with a piece of skillfully artistic painting of somone is history.
Also, the designs of the bar area and the meshed tiles used all over the interior of the building.
The only thing is, the shower needs a whole lot of scrubing with bleach and powered soap to get out all the build up scum thats obviously been ignored for a long time now, its brown.
The hotel is a little walk from everything but, there are little shops and restaurant along the road and it was very easy to get taxi from the hotel airport unlike other hotels.
Overall, its a very comfortable stay and the room is really nice with all the lights integrated into one touch panel sitting on the bedside table which, is so adorable because the accent wall is magenta and has little fairy lights integrated into each square making it a very beautiful sights when all the other lights are off. It's a beautiful room.
The drink cocktail mix from the bar was very nice because I just ordered and they made up a wonderful mixture that I didnt want to finish.

Our stay in Florence was quite nice and the property was very accommodating. While it states it was located near the city centre, it was not. It was 20 minutes to 30 minutes to walk to the Duomo and other sites. Cabs were expensive and the buses were confusing. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable in a somewhat hip part of town.

If you want elegance, glamour, beauty, and stunning, this is the property to stay with. The General Manager at the main hotel, UNA Hotels, was remarkable to deal with. We arrived from Rome, and were offered water and a lovely coffee while we sat outside in the patio area. We were then transported to the apartments, part of the hotel, in the centre of it all. Glorious, clean, and reminded me of being a movie star.

This could be such a good hotel if only they maintained and upgraded it. Everything is very dated, tattered and it needs major upgrade work. Our initial room was terrible with broken taps and handrail, dirty carpet and peeling paint on ceilings. We complained but the initial response from the man at reception was all excuses, and no other rooms available. A more assertive complaint at the counter then resulted in them finding another room. Surprise!!
Other staff then attempted make up for the initial issues but averall, a very poor experience for a hotel charging €300 a night.

More like 2.5 Star Hotel

We weren't sure what we were going to get because the property photos seemed inconsistent. Checked in and the property/lobby seemed nice; front desk staff was friendly.

Made it up to the room and the story begins to change. Immediately we are greeted by faded carpets and an extremely dark room. Felt straight out of the 1980s. All of the bathroom fixtures were black, floor was tile but had some tiles missing that was just filled in with mortar. There was only a deep tub that was about 3 feet tall with no easy way to get in and out of with no shower curtain. There was a shower head sticking out of the wall that sprayed everywhere, so when you were done you had to step out of an extremely deep tub on to a wet surface, I slipped and fell the first time.

On to the bedroom, it was a strange layout, but actually was a descent size room for a European hotel. Bed was very low to the ground. I'd give the mattress a 3/5 for comfort.

All in all, my opinion given the state of the room is this is more like a 2.5 star hotel. I was upset of the condition given advertising as 4 star and the price we paid.

Unique was UNARoma. UNAFirenze was unacceptable as a UNA HOTEL Group property. This place was completely disgusting! Carpets in the room were nasty, the shower ceiling was peeling, everything was BLACK. Now I understand what they were trying to hide. This hotel should be completely renovated to be modern like UNA brand. Completely disappointed to say the least.

Dishonest management and dingy amenities!

The worst hotel experience I have had in my life, and I am well traveled. Book with serious caution! Their facilities are nothing to write home about. I had allergies from dust in the room and the bathroom in one of our rooms had an odor. The place looks dingy. I highly advise against staying here, untop of this the management and staff are dihonest!! This hotel confirmed that I would not be charged an extra night for a modified booking, yet charged me full price during my check out for an additional night that I didn’t use. They then proceeded to lie to me, that they had issued me a refund via Expedia/hotels.com. I contacted hotels.com who confirmed no refund was issued, they in turn contacted the hotel who then said they wouldn’t issue me a refund for an additional hotel night that I did not use. To make matters worse, I have receipts that show the one night I was charged and paid for upon check in. I sent all these receipts and a detailed email to the hotel to amicable resolve this fraudulent charge, till now they have refused to respond and are instead telling hotels.com that they won’t refund me. They are deceitful, they even lied to the hotels.com agent that contacted them that their manager was away for the weekend when I had just seen him that morning.

This hotel really needs to be better taken care of the design is old, the bath rooms do not work - forget about taking a shower - plus it is run down.
The lighting makes noise so you can’t sleep. For the price of the hotel which is not even a central location they could really do more to keep the rooms at least modern or minimum not have the times falling off.
It is a shame people still pay for such quality.

Not what it used to be

We arrived and were told our room was ready. The head guy was a bit pushy and demanding my credit card while the woman was checking me in. We were given our key. The room had a red sign on it saying under construction. We entered and it was. Tools all over lights laying on bed. I told the main guy and he didn’t believe me. So I had to show him. We were instructed to wait in hallway. Not in the restaurant or bar. We waited he came back and took us to another room. Five minutes later the ceiling panel fell down. I took a picture showed it to him and he acted indignant but sent someone to fix it. The restaurant food was excellent. The bartender was perfect. On one night we had a late dinner and when we were finished wanted a taxi. I asked him if he would please call a cab. It was 11pm. And he scrunched up his face and said “now?” I said I don’t want it tomorrow. I need it now. He then told us to wait outside. The hotel itself needs a good updating. The rooms need painting. The missing tiles in shower need replacing. Overall a disappointment. I stayed here in 2019 and loved it.

My balcony was.totally enclosed...so no view of anything. Nice quiet location and good breakfast. IMHO not a 4 star hotel

Had to ask for the wifi code which is normally given automatically, no water bottle opener in the room, no coffee or tea in the room, safe was not working, charge for parking although they have ample space and this is the first thing we were told when we arrived. We waited until the end of the breakfast for the cappuccino to arrive etc. Management needs a wake up call there!

The hotel is situated about 30 mins walk from the main tourist area of Florence so it is quiet and perfect if you don't want to be in the centre. Other reviews mentioned using bicycles but the traffic is pretty busy so i didn't feel comfortable doing that. The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly and the hotel is clean and totally adequate...the rooms are unusual with strobe lighting and \"arty\" and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom was extremely unusual and I was thankful that i have long legs or it would have been extremely difficult to get into/out of the bath/shower unit. The breakfast was adequate but you had to pay extra for decaff coffee. Overall a \"good hotel\" and we had a wonderful 3 days in Florence.

The hotel is well located, just 20 minutes walk from the center and close to the river. After staying in the center with my boyfriend, in a loud hotel, it was nice to relax in their soundproofed and well-decorated room.

The design of the room is really unique and we really liked it, however the ground floor room felt a bit claustrophobic to me, with a tiny window that gave straight on a wall.

The breakfast was nice (I like the breakfast room) and the staff was really friendly.

Peaceful place just outside the city center

We had a wonderful time! This hotel has a very unique design (hate it or love it, but you can't forget it) and is located in a tranquile neighborhood just outside the city center of Firenze. Firenze has an excellent bike sharing platform and there are always bikes in the neighborhood, so we always went to the center by bike (8 min bike ride). Would definitely recommend staying here! The hotel is really modern and clean, and the staff was very friendly.

Make sure you get your bus tickets as soon as possible, as it is a hike away from most attractions and it was the third day before the only ticket seller by the hotel was open when we tried to get bus tickets.

Worst shower in Italy so far. Too modern for our taste. Loud, all tile restaurant, breakfast area.

A little further walk than we would have preferred. But fairly central and can’t beat onsite parking if you have a car and intend Any wine/Tuscany day trips.

Very ‘professional’ staff (too professional, it enough hospitality for our taste).

Overall good and would recommend if the above aren’t issues for the traveler.

The overall experience was not desirable due to the facility itself. I will start off by saying the staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful and is the reason I wouldn't give Una Hotels a 1 star. With that said, the first issue was the cleaniness of the room. The carpet was really old, it looked dirty, tiles in the bathroom was missing, and there was a smelly odor from the sink. Secondly, the toilet did not flush properly and the shower did not drain properly, causing water to overflow even on low pressure. Lastly, we were not given the right amount of towels during the whole stay and our pillows in the bed were uncomfortable due to flatness and only being provided one each. In all, I give Una Hotels 2 out of 5 stars.

Unfortunately overall our experience at this hotel was disappointing. Our first room had broken and damaged light fittings and electrical socket, a bathroom in far from great condition with various missing mosaic tiles and much damage to the floors and walls.
After registering our complaint, for the next night we were given a new upgraded room, which was in slightly better condition but still with clear signs of excessive wear & tear and a generally tired look and feel.
It is a shame that a hotel that promised much in terms of its four stars and quirky design really failed to deliver.
We have retrospectively seen negative reviews and the manager offering excuses and reasoning. The simple fact is that we could show many pictures of what we experienced and there are not any excuses. Quite simply the hotel should be given a face lift and it currently does not stand up to 4 star hotels we have experienced elsewhere.

This property was excellent and very quiet because it is across the river away from the hustle and bustle away from the tourist area. It is a short bus ride away from the main train station and other tourist sites. The architecture is amazing and the front desk is friendly and very helpful in giving directions to the area around. The bus is 1,50 euro.

The hotel was very pathetic. The room air conditioning was not working. The bed sheets were with bed bugs and smelly.The room was too small to even stand. Not at all good to stay even for few hours inside the room. I've asked for 4 time to make the ac work and it was not working. Worst service ever.

Fun and quirky hotel

Very quirky hotel on the outskirts of Florence. Fun place to stay. The decor is quite unique. It is only a 20min walk to the main sights in the centre (Ponte Vecchio for example) so conveniently situated. Also worth noting if you have a car, it is outside of the restricted zone so you can drive directly to it. Parking is available in a secure underground car park (at €20 a night which is a bit steep!).

The lady on reception was very helpful and gave clear instructions on how to get to places and regular bus routes around the city.

All in all, a unique experience and very different to the usual sterile decor of many modern hotels.

This property falsely advertises room size. We paid extra for what we thought were the correct number of beds and learned that we would end up with a rollaway that wouldn’t fit in our room. Odd. The staff were also slow (even by Italy standards) and pretty unhelpful overall.

The UnaHotel is very nice and modern. Our room was very clean. The hotel is in a great area. Walking distance to everything including the Duomo, the center, the bus and train station. We walked to the center the first day. We caught the bus one day. There is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel. There is also a nice patio area to hang out. It’s highly recommended.

Unfortunately, they don't tell you that the air conditioner is controlled by a switch board, therefore, even though you have a thermostat it Doesn't WORK, we couldn't sleep well due to the heat, It was extremely hot inside the room. the handle for the shower was broken, we left a day earlier to do the lock of rest the staff at the restaurant for breakfast were not the nicest people. I don't like to write bad reviews but this is the truth. Everyone else was amazing, the front desk clerks and the gentleman at the bar was a pleasure to speak with....

Conveniently situated and friendly service.

The hotel required better general maintenance:
1. Room carpets are worn and require replacement.
2.painted wood details in room bathrooms are worn and require painting and replacement.
3. Extensive tiling at entrance-desk and dining-room has cracks that need mending.
4. Fabric on main lounge sofa is worn and needs replacement.
5. LARGE hotel umbrellas would be helpful.
6. Room furniture woodwork has old veneer that needs restoration.
7. Dining-room table lacquer needs to be redone.

These criticisms are accurate but limited, and addressing these issues would make an enormous difference to the overall impression of the hotel.

A fantastic location that was close enough to the centre to walk yet away from the noise at nighttime. The staff were incredibly helpful when needed. Breakfast had a great variety. Rooms were exceptionally clean.

My wife and I stayed here awhile back and had a great visit. The concierge was super helpful and spent a lot of time explaining the city to us. The rooms were very nice and a bit interesting. Overall a great hotel. The service was excellent and breakfast was delicious. Staff was ready to help with anything needed. Also the location is pretty close to the train station and city center, if you’re ok with a little bit of walking.

The staff at reception were incredible, they helped to organise a wine tasting tour and suggested restaurants, as well lending me an adaptor and iron because I forgot them. They also helped my boyfriend make a birthday card as he left mine at home and sent me a divine bottle of prosecco on my birthday. A really excellent stay and great value for money. I only wished we stayed longer. The breakfast is worth getting up for and lovely sitting outside to eat, it fills you up all day.
