We enjoyed all 3 of our stays and other than the lack of a protein source other than yogurt, breakfast was nice and there was an option for cafe Americano. Some minor maintenance issues should be addressed but overall we liked the warmth and quaintness.

Making contact once I arrived was challenging. The buzzer/door bell was inoperative. The phone number was not accurate. Once access was given the wrong floor was given. My room was tucked in a back section of the building down a narrow corridor. Noisy with mosquitoes. Down steep steps to a bathroom. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful though.
Accommodations are very overpriced at $213. Would not stay here again.

This property is located about 20 minutes walking from the cathedral. Is a quiet location.

The reason of the 1 star is the lack of communication and false advertising. We arrived to the hotel after 3 pm (checking time) and nobody was at the reception, I had no line to call an Italian number, good thing one of our friends arrived and he was able to call. We got the codes to get in, I rented 2 rooms, both with private bathroom, A/C and hairdryer.
As soon as I got into my room, the temperature was 24/25 (75/77), which it was pretty hot for me, there was no control remote for the A/C, there was no hairdryer neither. I contacted the hotel via Expedia and no answer. Waited few hours and message again and silence.
The other room that I rent it, didn’t have a bathroom inside the room… you had to leave your room, walk in the hall, go downstairs and you will see the bathroom.

Showering was another problem.. the water accumulated at your feet, almost overflowing if you took a shower that lasted more than 4 minutes.

The hotel finally answered back 24 hours after my checkout to tell me that it seems that the people staying in the same room before us probably stole the hairdryer and that did not believe the room was hot as nobody else complain about the rooms being hot just me.

Customer service is just horrendous.

Quaint. Feels like you are staying in the real Florence. Desk manned for only a portion of the day. If you are arriving late, ensure you contact hotel for entry codes and room key. There is a code to building, code to floor of hotel and then key to room. Walkable from train station and walkable to attractions.

The bed needed to be replaced- broken springs along one edge! Very very basic, except the breakfast, which was a lovely, plentiful continental breakfast if you got there right at 8. It is a 20 minute walk to all the sites (which feels long when it is so hot in July!), 10 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella station, and a 6 minute walk to a great price-fixed place for dinner, Trattoria do Giorgio (Only 15 Euro per person for 1/4L wine or soda, a primi piatta like pasta and an entree + a side dish...so yummy, we went both nights we were in Florence. Get there close to 7 if you can, or you may be waiting a while).

WORST EVER STAYING EXPERIENCE

Can not be worse. It's local ONS guest house and not a hotel. Entrance locked, property doors locked and no one to open for 30 minutes. I stand on rad knocking the door for 30 minutes. Can you beat that? Once a guy turned up who is supposed to be manager, from outside, he shared two codes to get in. I booked the best/largest room, but what I was given was the left out room. No A/C, plenty of mosquitoes, no warm water and moreover, no one to attend you in case if you die there. TOILET IN THE CORRIDOR. WORST EVER STAYING EXPERIENCE.

good B&B in Firenze

La Corte dei Principi has some rooms in one of the buildings in Firenze. We enjoyed staying in an authentic building rather than a larger hotel. The staff was very welcoming and the room was comfortable. The only drawback is that it is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of the Historic Area.

Perfect spot at a good price

Found this last minute and what a steal for the price. It's situated in a great location outside of the main city center area but within 15-25 minute walk anywhere in Florence. The hotel is a little hard to find but look for the Officina restaurant and the hotel door is right there. You have to park at a local garage which there is one down the road for $25 euro a night. It does have A/C and breakfast. Wifi was sketchy. Overall, great find for the price.

The most horrible service we ever received!!!

We spent 10 min. trying to find the hotel till locals pressed a button in an ordinary apartment building. The sealing in hotel (picture attached) under the stairs was too low and not marked. I hit my head and scratched glasses. In shower no body wash. Everything felt humid, cold and even clothes became wet. Opening the cover on the bed we found some insects!!! Next morning we complained and asked to give us a heater or do something. Reception spoke very poor English, but screaming that they not going to do anything and one complain doesn't change hotel’s rating! They don't care about us! We decided to leave, even next night was payed. On the way out from the hotel ran into another person who called himself manager and tried to explain again how bad was our day. He looks as drank! He had the terrible response seemed be happy that we are leaving. Last we heard was Get out! Thanks Hotels.com, they kindly responded to the horrible situation and refunded payment as well as all points.

We were totally disappointed, The property was poorly sign posted in fact was not sign posted at all , I had to ask two shop owners where this establishment was . Standard of cleanliness was non existent in my opinion, Breakfast was less than satisfactory .The advertising indicated a quality establishment displaying fine photographs ,I can only assume they had been taken some time ago as the establishment no longer resembles the said photos . We booked in for 3 nights but left after 1. Consequently being a substantial amount financially out of pocket . Needless to say we would not recommend this establishment. We don't understand how it was rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel.com.

Cheap and cheerful

Basic hotel, a bit dated but the rooms are a good size and it is in a good location, quite close to the river and walkable from the train station. Friendly staff and everything in the rooms worked as it should. Bathrooms a bit cramped but clean and shower was hot.

Beautiful hotel with awkward check-in on Sun eves!

Check-in was definitely strange - no one staffs the desk after 19:00 on Sundays, so they left me a note with a phone number to call and then instructions to pick up my key from a nearby business! It could have been a disaster if I hadn't been able to dial Italian phones from my mobile!

Great hotel!!

On a trip to Italy that required three different hotels, this one was our favorite. The room was huge. It had an entryway and a huge bathroom. It was very quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is close to Santa Maria novella station. We unfortunately we up too early to try breakfast, it started at 8am.

Great Hotel - Hidden Gem

Quiet room not too far from the sites. Very helpful staff. We had an ensuite room which was great - very comfortable.

The hotel is not well marked out the front which is confusing initially but once you work out where it is no problems.

Disappointing

Finding the hotel was extremely difficult, as there is no signage at all. No signs either at the lift, or at the door to reception.
Our room was barely adequate, with no hairdryer, no refrigerator and no tea/coffee facility.
We were informed there might be mosquitoes, and were given a plug-in device which we found the next morning to be not working. Fortunately we did buy our own insect spray, and by our count, we killed at least 40 blood-laden mosquitoes.
The bathroom floor was covered in water from the defective shower fitting.
On the positive side, the room was very quiet, staff were pleasant and breakfast was adequate, although the croissants were very stale.
Sorry that I can't be more positive about this hotel, but it was a disappointing start to our Florence holiday. I strongly recommend more signage to allow better access to the hotel.

La Rosa Townhouse exchgd for La Corte dei Principi

We actually did not stay here. They e-mailed us that the hotel was being renovated and offered La Rosa Townhouse instead. La Rosa Townhouse was excellent and far exceeded our expectation. The Townhouse huge, nicely decorated and very comfortable. We would recommend staying there.

three brothers hotel

There once was a tale of three brothers who owned a hotel, and what a place it was. Three brothers 1 light hearted, 1 charming and 1 that was over at all. All three of them make great breakfast, but one of them (and we don't know who) would always put way too much sugar in the orange juice. They were very nice, very helpful and one the best personable Hotels. They even asked us if we were a Muslim at check in because of Ramadan, totally unrelated to our names. The bathrooms were small and so was the television but we come to learn that that is in story in Florence. We don't regret staying there. It was a lot of fun and when we come back to Florence we will definitely come by and say hi and pick up the giltman.com order we had sent there. The three brothers were great including the one that was too hip for it all.

Dit is geen hotel maar een hostel. Onze kamer was een mansarde met de dakpannen zichtbaar. We hadden wel een eigen badkamer maar die lag op de gang, dus geen deel van de kamer. Geen waterdruk wat spoelen moeilijk maakt. Het bed is te klein als je 1,80 meter lang bent. Inchecken verliep heel onvriendelijk alsof we niet welkom waren. . Ontbijt bestond uit voorverpakte industriële producten. Een schande voor Italië.

建物入り口を入って、ホテルのドアまでが、夜は真っ暗で携帯のライトを付けないと歩けませんでした。困ったことは、その一点だけです。

Rummet var okej. Luftigt och högt i tak. Duschmunstycket var trasigt och vattnet i duschen rann inte undan. AC:n väsnades. Frukosten väldigt enkel och bestod mestadels av fikabröd. På frukosten kunde man sitta på en vetande. Den var ganska trevlig.

Anahtarınızı alıp istediğiniz saatte kendiniz girip çıkıyorsunuz. Kahvaltısı güzeldi, İtalyan kahvaltılıkları. Kahvaltı salonunda İstediğiniz zaman kullanabileceğiniz Espresso makinesi de var. Bien située et très propre. Personnel agréable. Petit-déjeuner copieux, café exquis, mais exclusivement du pain et des pâtisseries de grande distribution. Mini frigo bien utile dans la chambre.
La chambre 101 donne sur la rue bruyante! Dégât des eaux apparent sur le mur contigu à la salle de bain (sec mais pas décoratif). Manque de tablettes près du lavabo et dans la douche, d'un éclairage au-dessus du bureau (chambre sombre).

Tek büyük yatak yerine yana yana getirilmiş iki yatak pek rahat değildi. Banyodaki duş kabini çok küçük idi, içinde iken kendi etrafımızda dönmek bile zordu. Sabit olması gereken malzemeler yerinden oynuyordu. Şampuan ve diğer banyo malzemeleri çok az bırakılmıştı. Üç gece kaldık, bu süre içinde ne havlular değişti, ne de çarşaflar. Sabah kahvaltısı saat 8'de başlıyordu, saati çok geçti ve bize uymadı. Kahvaltı zaten çok az malzemeli idi, Akdeniz ülkesi olmasına rağmen, domates veya yeşillik yoktu. Odamız sokağa bakıyordu ve çok gürültülü idi, ses izolasyonu şahane değil. Bunları umursmam diyorsanız kalınır, ben bir daha kalmam sanırım. Havaalanı-otel transferi var yazıyor web sayfasında, yok. Zaten İngilizce bilen de yok sayılır.

O local é bem localizado, com vários restaurantes por perto, mas que fecham cedo. Há também um supermercado ao lado. O quarto é super confortável e bem limpo. O staff foi muito simpático e cordial. Não tomamos café da manhã por lá, mas é um seviço extra que está disponível. Super recomendado!!

lot seem of disappointing surprises

We booked this hotel a week before our trip to Florence. It was the only hotel available under €100 a night.
CON
- no parking - unless you are willing to pay €25 a night for their parking, there is none available. It is located in a residential area so the city won't let you park on the streets legally. we spent an hour the first night trying to find parking. It was a nightmare. Also the website failed to tell us parking would cost €25 a night
- not clean - the room was not well swept. In fact when they cleaned it they swept up little piles and then just left them
- poor plumbing - my shower turned into a foot bath because the water would not drain. It took about 15 minutes post-shower for the water to go down. That was also the case in the sink
- wifi problems - wifi did not work for most of our trip
- smell from bathroom - it had a smell of sulfur the entire stay
- city tax - the amount if the tax was something they could not help, as the city chooses the price. But it was way to high to NOT be advertised. I have stayed in over 20 hotels in Italy and never had a city tax that was more than €2. I was surprised that at the end of my trip I got an email for check out that said city tax is €4.50 per person per night. I expected to pay €8 at the end of my trip. Instead I paid €18. That should have been advertised.

Room 101: the air conditioning made a huge noise.
A lot of noise during the night because rooms are on the road side and no double glazing (obviously).
The taxes at the end of the stay are enormous : 15€/pers.

einziges Manko - Wlan war während des ganzen Aufenthaltes nicht verfügbar

Parfait pour notre séjour à Florence!

Le propriétaire est très gentil, il parle anglais et français en plus de l'italien, très accueillant. L'endroit est parfait si vous voulez être un peu éloigné du bruit de la ville mais à 15-25 minutes de marche de toutes les principales attractions. L'isolation n'est pas super mais rappelons-nous qu'il s'agit d'une bâtisse d'époque! Les autres occupants étaient très respectueux. Plusieurs options pour le déjeuner. On nous a même laissé mettre nos bagages dans notre chambre plus tôt que le temps d'arrivée, on en a profité pour débuter notre visite et on nous a offert le déjeuner puisqu'il n'était que 9:00. L'appartement est propre et le wifi fonctionne bien. On recommande!

Ottima struttura ricettiva. Situata al primo piano di un palazzo dell'ottocento,camere belle e confortevoli.Ottima la pulizia degli ambienti. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile.Appena arrivati ci hanno fornito tutte le indicazioni necessarie per visitare la città e i luoghi dove poter mangiare bene , spendendo il giusto. Colazione a buffet variegata e abbondante.Bellissima la terrazza, dove sembra di stare in un giardino e dove noi abbiamo potuto rilassarci la sera sorseggiando un buon vino toscano. Consiglio vivamente La Corte dei principi.

Γενικά καθαρό ξενοδοχείο, σε καλή τοποθεσία, με εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό.Το πρωινό σε άφηνε παραπονούμενο και ο μικρός χώρος της τραπεζαρίας (με τέσσερα τραπεζάκια) σε εκβίαζε ηθικά να φύγεις γρήγορα για να έρθουν οι επόμενοι πελάτες. Μειονέκτημα θεωρώ και την τιμή, νομίζω ήταν αρκετά υψηλή, σε σχέση με τις παροχές.
