Property location is convenient, close to train station and down town of Florance. But I didn’t like to be disturbed every night by random people ring the room bell after 12:00 am and talking loudly in the hallway.

Had a great time at this apartment. Don’t understand the negative reviews, it’s exactly as advertised. Yes, it might be a bit dated and not a marble palace but for the price and location it was very enjoyable. The kitchenette is very useful! Super convenient near the main station and easy walk to all attractions. You are in a busy location so expect a bit of noise at peak hours but once that dies down it’s really peaceful. Some people say it’s not clean but I found it to be very clean on arrival, maybe it’s the tiles, the type of tile used does look dirty but I can assure you walking around in white socks they stayed white! You will need to let the owner know your arrival at least 24 hours prior and I advise you plan to arrive within the check in hours for an easier experience (and cheaper) as it’s not manned 24 hours (it’s a small business people, not the Ritz). The best bit was the bed in my room, can’t speak of other rooms but the bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take the mattress home 😂. No smoking inside but who still does that anyways? Go outside! The bathroom was fine, practical and clean in my case. Treat the place with respect and you won’t have any issues. My only bit of construct feedback would be if they can invest in new doona/duvet covers that would be nice and slightly bigger towels, and if ever possible to paint the green bits- I feel these small improvements would really enhance the experience more but like I said it’s excellent value for money.

The apartment was very nice, clean, comfortable, close to the city center and had a few grocery shops nearby. It wasn't in the nicest, fanciest area of the city but it had some very nice restaurants nearby and it was a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood. The train station was literally 5 minutes away on foot if one's interested to take a trip somewhere like we were.

Over all it was great value for money and would definitely stay there again.

Early Arrivals are a huge inconvenience

Must make appointment after 3 p.m. to check-in. So early arrivals must check bags at the train station which is expensive.
Toilet seat did not fit the toilet and kept falling off. Had to wait until after 3 p.m. to talk with someone the next day. It was NEVER fixed. Called the following day to ask about repair and was told there were no seats to replace that one. Then the manager blamed us for breaking the seat. I explained it did not fit to begin with, which he would have known if he had even looked at it. He refused to do anything about it during our stay.
Outside is a lot of construction which seems to be the root of a terrible smell.
No cleaning nor change of towels during stay!!!!

The person checking us in was not friendly nor welcoming. We were just another foreign customer being checked and there was no reason to be friendly (perhaps the man only check in American language and did not want to encourage conversation with a smile). When we arrived we opened the window to observe the enclosed court yard. It was dark and un kept. We immediately shut the window, and never reopened it. We got bitten by mosquitoes every night. We either let them all in, the one time we opened the window or they were in the corridors and rooms at all times. The room was clean and beds were ok. The shower had no stall nor tub, it was a depression in the floor tile and bathroom would flood with water, after showers. Check out is immediately at 10. Keys are instructed to be left in a box before or by 10. Someone shows up in a hurry at 10 to retrieve the keys and inspect the room. We will not choose Gemini studios again.

A nice place to stay

Location is good, just around 10 minutes walk from the train station. Spacious and clean, good for 3 persons to stay. There has supermarket and a lot of restaurants near the train station. Easy to buy food to make your own breakfast or dine out.

If they can improve the washroom to have a close shower stall, it would be prefect. Right now the shower is with the toilet bowl together, after you take the shower the floor will get wet, if your slipper is the kind of one time use hotel slipper, when you use the toilet bowl later after the shower, you may get wet of your feet. Try to bring plastic slipper.

The other thing is it is not that sound proof, you can hear people speaking in next room. But this is the structure work, Gemini cannot do anything on it. Therefore, if you are a light sleeper, you have to aware this and may be considered to bring a pair of ear plug.

Other than that, everything is good and value for money.

Firstly the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors talking. Our room had a terrible smell much like an open sewer that we couldn’t get rid of. No point going to the office to ask for a different room because once we checked in the office worker promptly disappeared. There is no shower just a space between the toilet and bidet with a shower curtain around it. The hot water service is inside the bathroom which meant it’s like a smelly sauna if you don’t leave the extraction fan on. The iron in our room had exposed bare copper wiring on the lead so we decided not to use it! For the price we paid, we were very disappointed.

3 blocks close to train station with kitchen

This studio is close to train station, it is a nice and quite studio.
It has a small kitchen. If you are going with children you will save a lot! Small market are a block away outside the train station, buy pasta and cook. There is another market but 5 blocks away there, ask the receptionist.
If you are a couple and do not need to cook, at the corner you have a cafeteria $3.50 and around the corner you have a delicious restaurant, the Lady-Owner is super nice and the prices are great $8.00+.they have gelatto, too. If you are early for check-in, go there with your luggage and eat while waiting for the receptionist to open the studio.
They need to improve the air condition system but even of that, it was good.(They informed they will buy new ones).32C in July.
If you need a phone, the receptionist can help you to contact your tour. He is very helpful.

Conveniently located barely habitable room.

Bedsheets and towels were not changed over multiple days. The plumbing was cheap plastic that just came apart when the sink was used. No phones on premises. TV provided but the electrical extension had a loose contact.

Seriously underpowered premises. Cant use the hotplate and a hair dryer sumultaneously. Likewise your spouse cant use the hairdryer if you want hot water for a bath.

Visitors are strictly advised not to adjust the central temperature controls, however temperature is not maintained. Gets very cokd at night and unpleasantly warm in the day.
The mattress and cot sagged so much, i fell off the bed once!

Nearest laundromat a km away.

Good for budget-minded without mold allergy

Appreciated having a kitchen. AC unit including wall and surrounding floor were really moldy, which was a real problem for people with a mold allergy. Owner/manager needs to have a service clean out AC units and surrounding areas.

The hotel is somewhat clean, although expected for the price. The suites were quite spacious and had the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Internet was not working and other things such as the iron. The shower ran out of hot water after a two minute use.

Fully equipped kitchen helps a lot. No daily housekeeping and towel changing are disappointing. Reception only manned from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There is no luggage drop off/pick up service. Travelers may need to store their luggage at train station, 4 to 6 Euros per piece.

Kitchen was very well equipped. Very roomy bathroom. Great location, as everything in walking distance from the flat. Only a couple of minutes walk from the main train station. Probably only negative was waiting for the office to open at 3 pm so we could collect the key. We arrived about in Florence about three hours earlier.

They ask to call them beforehand on the time of your check in, I send the e-mail and they wanted to me. The studio is spacious, there was no kettle but I was shown how to use a coffee machine to boil water for tea. WiFi workerd OK, even though it is needed to be connected anew any time the laptop is booted on. The neighbohood looks like safe enough.

Very disappointed stay

Close to train station. Simple studio with basic cookwares. Enough for short term stay. But cookwares were very dirty. Need to wait a long time for hot water for shower. Water lakage in the bathroom so the floor was always wet. I am worry that the receptionist stole my credit card information because the only day that I presented my credit card to others was during check in, then my credit card got over 10 transactions with a total over $5000 dollars debits. And the transaction day was the day I ckecked in. The receptionist had all my credit card information including the CCV code which he said for security deposit purpose. That made me wonder he's the one who did all that. Need to file a case in police station. Very disappointed stay.

Daniel from hotel was kind to come meet us when we couldn't find hotel and were lost. However, there was no one that we could really contact on site once he left for the day. Sheets clean, but comforter or top blanket dirty. Mop bucket and mop in bathroom not appealing. People living in hotel were in outdoor hallway and guy sitting in underwear on outside couch was eerie. Dark outdoor hallway and entryway before we got to our rooms. People staying there appeared to be living there and didn't give us a secure feeling.

It is just a simple apartment. Not even toilet papier on the room. I could not find close market for shopping. There is no free parking lots. It is close to train station. Room is not clean. Administration office is open just in limited time. If you need something, good luck to you to find somebody to ask help. Be carefull of checking and checkout time. Not suitable for short time trip.

Good location but....

This is a studio with kitchen which might be attractive to some. On the plus side there is good hot water though the shower is not really differentiated from the rest of the room. Everything gets wet! The minuses include: horrible mold smell which did not abate with open windows, no one on duty except at 3 pm when someone arrives at the locked door to process your entry, and a door lock that did not really work unless you have the deftness of a safe cracker. And at night in the dark when the key refuses to allow entry there is NO ONE there to let you in.

Good location, inflexible staff

This is a 1 bed apartment/studio not too far from SMN train station in Florence (7-10 minutes walk). Our train arrived around 1300 hours and when we reached the apartment, the office door was locked with no staff at the location. I called the number on the confirmation email, only to find the gentleman on the other end asking me \"did you read the instructions on the email\". When I said there were none, he responded rather coldly that we'd have to wait till 1500. Luckily, we found a nice restaurant next doors to cool off and wait for the staff.
Upon check-in, we found the apartment clean and enough to meet our otherwise low expectations (their staff deserves some credit for that). It's not a modern apartment, but is functional and will work out if you plan on spending most of your day in the city (which is what we did). And it is a wonderful city with a lot to offer its visitors. Hope this helps.

Nice hotel in walking distance to the Duomo

The suite was clean and comfortable but I found the bed to be too soft. The staff changed the bed sheets and towels every 3 days. The kitchen was nice and had everything you needed. There is no staff on site, so if you have any issues you would have to call the manager to get service.

The location is within 5 minute walking distance from the Train station and bus terminal and about 10 minute walk to the Duomo. There's a bus stop right across the street from the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was nice for the value and the kitchen saved us a lot of money on meals.

Positive: Proximity to Central Railway Station Negatives: Many .. listing top few 1. Dark and dingy unclean room 2. Electricity Power would go off when you tried to use kitchennete at higher levels 3. TV not working 4. No one available to fix if something goes wrong nor was there any contact details given 5. DIshwasher was broken/taken apart 6. CHeckin time published was 3pm and no one available at the office at the appointed hour . when called the concerned person came with lot of grumpiness and displeasure of having been disturbed on an afternoon siesta. Obviously you should forget any support if you are a minute before 3pm or after 8pm No one should stay here unless has run out of options or is a bunch of guys just expecting a bed near station.. but then the price may be too high to pay These kind of places bring bad name to Italy and its hospitality . Definitely I am not even going to mention this place to my friends.. its too embarassing

You get what you pay for....

If you are looking for a low cost no frills place to stay in Florence this will fit the bill. The room was clean. It comes with a kitchenette in the room which could be handy should you decide the fare of Tuscany to expensive. The bed however, is a fold out sofa bed. In fact the worst fold out bed known to man. You will sleep in an inverted position if you are in the room we had. The other big issue is the noise. From the street and other people in the building. We were awoken to the sound of drunken partiers every night we stayed. We were given two towels the day we checked in. This was the extent of the services provided. No clean towels, bed was never made, no maid services at all. As I said 0 frills. Luckily we had a half roll of TP .

rude receptionist (after 1000 km of driving made us wait in the street), apartment smelling strongly of mold, there was no window in alcove, no shower tray (after showering impossible to go into the toilet/shower)...
Although the location is not bad, we do not come back.

During our recent 3 day stay, we walked everywhere in Florence. With fully equipped kitchen, we prepared our own breakfast in the morning to save time and money. One day we lost key, owner had to come very late to get us in. The studio is clean and spacious.

Gemini Studios appears to be longer-term accommodation that is let out short-term (off-peak season?).

The room was spacious and very clean. The price was excellent.

The expensive wifi was a huge drawback (the \"free wifi\" is actually in a corridor that leads to the outside, so it is freezing, the lights turn off automatically after a minute so it is dark, and there is nowhere to sit except a cold staircase. Also if it's raining, you have to carry your laptop from your room outside in the rain to the free wifi area).

There was no kettle in the room which seemed odd and made making tea difficult.

The hot water lasts about 2 minutes. When I mentioned this, was told there were other complaints, but luckily \"summer lasts longer than winter in florence!\"

Staff helpful and were avaliable at times conveient to us.

Was a little disappointing that even though we had book 6 months in advance we were moved on the first night of our stay due to other booking issue, but this was handled well and the hotel moved the lugguage for us.

The facility was ok with a few little maintenance issues with the room but overall a good experience and nice place to stay covieniently located close to major attractions and train station. Parking is not located near by and is at additional cost which we were made aware of before our trip.

This was a great hotel for our large family with 3 adults and 2 teenagers. We had a little trouble finding it when we came out of the station all carrying suitcases but once we realised we had gone the wrong way we found it was only within 5 minutes walking to the station. The centre of Florence is within a 20 minute walk and there are some nice restaurants along the way. The apartment itself had a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook not that we wanted too but was very handy for breakfast and great to have a refrigerator. The bathroom was a good size and there were plenty of large towels. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone with a large family.

Good central location, easy to find on arrival from station. Apartment at rear of small block so very quiet at night. Clean with large bathroom (very efficient shower) Kitchenette very clean with all usual facilities except kettle (although no problem to boil water with small pan) We really enjoyed buying fresh produce from market and cooking so were pleased with plenty of clean pans, oven, microwave etc.
Apartment manager very helpful and speaks good English.
I'd read a previous review about the height of the wardrobes. Yes, you do need to be tall to reach the top row but hey ho! there's plenty of room on the other rail.

Quiet stop off in Florence

This was a great little find -- quiet air conditioned studio apartment just a short walk from the station. Really good value for money. We enjoyed a 2 night stay and it felt really private and relaxing. The decor a little dated and the bed was a sofa bed but all was fine and really clean. It felt like a good retreat for weary backpackers.

A miserable experience

Most dreadful stay in my Italy trip. Also it was a reap off by charging Euro 25 for cleaning services, a compulsory charge, for just a single night stay! The air condition was not working at all and there s no one to complaint, you have to go to another hotel 500 yards away to complaint. I would not suggest anyone to go there?

The room was damp and infested with mosquitos. The dampness made my partner unwell. I would not recommend anyone, however low their budget was to stay here. Also the courtyard noise echoes into the rooms. Blinds are damaged and ineffective. The pictures on Expedia's website are of the hotel which runs the appartments and not the appartments and the descriptions on Expedia's website are incorrect. In all avoid it.

Firstly location, close to train station without the usual seedyness you can find in these areas. 10-15 minute walk from the centre of florence. the room was fine, good size and clean, the air con was a lifesaver as florence can get hot and sticky. the kitchen was stocked with all you could need. The decor is not pretty but wasnt important to us, all in all if you like the convenience of your own kitchen as well as more space than you'll find in a comparable hotel room and 5 mins walk from the main train station then this will suit you.

With a group of 5, we stayed in the bigger appartment on the first floor of Viale Fratelli Rosselli 78. This is a building at the corner of 2 busy streets, which is very noisy. I had a hard time to sleep at night. This old style apartment is very dark. The bed is not that clean. In fact, my friends got bitten by bed bugs. This studio is extremely hard to find. You must first check in at the hotel. For internet connection, you have to pay 15 euro for the wifi. If you want to cook, remember to bring your own seasoning and cleaners.
The location of studio is good. The bathroom is clean and roomy. I won't recommend this studio to anyone.

Clean with great location

Location was right near the train station and all of the main attractions were a short walk away. Being near the train station made it very nice for day trips outside of florence. The room was clean, my only complaint was the bathroom was not up to my north american standards which can be expected in Europe. ie) The only barrier between the shower and toilet was a curtain. The cleaning service did not always replace our towels which is service I am not use to. The room was nice otherwise and did have a good air conditioner.

Fantastic value for money

The hotel is in a superb position in the heart of Florence only 5mins walk from the train and bus stations. The shower and air conditioning were brilliant and when we mentioned that the microwave wasn't working it was replaced immediately. Linen was replaced every other day. The room cleanliness left a little to be desired but for the price it was an amazing deal.

Location of this accommodation was excellent, only a 10 minute walk from the station. The studio itself...needs a bit of a spruce up. the decor is awful. This room is supposed to sleep up to 6 people...there were 5 of us, and it was a tight squeeze.The wordrobe is only suitable for giants as the drawers were at the bottom, the rail on top....8 1/2 ft high...and thats no joke. There is not a kettle so we used a pot for boiling water for tea. There was a toaster, but it had the wrong fitting, so this could not be used. Not enough cutlery or glasses either. You do get what you pay for in the end....but i will not be back.

Apartamento ubicación y precio bueno, limpieza y trato al cliente deficiente, que tenga buen precio no debe de implicar encontrar el apartamento sucio y el trato antipático. Tuvimos reforma de habitación contigua durante nuestro alojamiento de tres días comenzando el obrero a trabajar a las 8 a.m. Por lo demás la ubicacion fue lo mejor.
P.D. Como la crítica no es buena quedamos a la espera de la contestación grosera que acostumbra este establecimiento.

aria condizionata ad acqua il che significa che raffredda solo se l’acqua circola in continuazione ed invece spenta da due giorni con 40 gradi che c’era Puzza di muffa ed confort inesistenti
Alle nostre rimostranze si sono dimostrati saccenti e presuntuosi adducendo che per il prezzo pagato cosa pensavamo di trovare
Siamo stati costretti a cambiare sistemazione e dover spendere altri soldi
In questo caso il pagamento anticipato è un cappio al collo Saremo costretti a chiedere un risarcimento danni perché ciò che viene descritto nella prenotazione è completamente inesatto Una pubblicità ingannevole ad una location che non merita neppure una stella sia per ciò che offre sia per il personale addetto alla struttura

La cosa positiva è la posizione, la struttura si trova a 5' a piedi dalla stazione e a 10-15' dal centro storico. Purtroppo però la stanza non era molto pulita, sotto al microonde c'erano le formiche (già all'arrivo), la spugnetta per lavare i piatti aveva dentro alcuni capelli. Inoltre, diverse cose non funzionavano o non funzionavano bene: il condizionatore non ha la manopola e quindi è duro da azionare, dopo aver scaricato il water perde, la tendina della doccia non si chiude bene.
A mio avviso andrebbero specificate le imperfezioni e poi sta al singolo scegliere.

Quando raggiungi una città diversa dalla tua qualche timore inevitabilmente ti assale. E la struttura che ti accoglie anche se in maniera immateriale ti aiuta a cancellare la paura iniziale. E' andato tutto bene. Accoglienza eccellente, ottima struttura. Standard sicurezza molto buoni. Autonomia per raggiungere gli appartamenti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Es ist nicht möglich sein Gepäck im Hotel einzustellen wenn man früher kommt oder später abreist.
Wir sind mit dem Nachtzug aus Wien um ca. 6 Uhr früh angekommen und einige Tage später gegen 22 Uhr abgereist. Für die Gepäckaufbewahrung am Bahnhof für 2 mal und insgesamt ca. 20 Stunden mußten wir den verrückten Preis von etwa 45 € bezahlen.
Da muß es in einem Hotel die Möglichkeit der Aufbewahrung geben! Das gehört zum ganz normalen Service. Ist uns weltweit noch nie passiert

Simple y cómodo, muy cerca de todo.

El lugar está muy cerca de la estación de tren por lo que te permite viajar para otras ciudades fácilmente. Tiene lo necesario aunque es simple. Se puede llegar caminando a cualquier punto de la ciudad. Está en refacción una calle cercana por lo que el barrio parece descuidado; pero es seguro y tranquilo.

Posizione a pochi passi dal centro

Sono stata con la mia famiglia formata da 4 persone per 3 giorni . L ' appartamento era piccolo sporco e il bagno era piccolissimo con una doccia quasi inesistente formata da una struttura e da una tenda e con solo 4 asciugamani a disposizione. La ventola del bagno e il frigorifero durante la notte disturbano il sonno con il loro rumore.
