So the rooms were fine, I liked the shower, they upgraded us, but that took away the tub (hense the shower). There were people outside our window doing drugs across the street and they stuck us next to the metro line so it was very noisy. I booked this hotel so I could do the cold plunge (I have RA) but there was not one.. or so I thought. I later discovered they turned it to the massage room... the massage was priced ok but it was not great massage. It was very weak and almost awkward. They do not offer free water to their guests. You have to buy little waters for 2.5 euro. So go to the store around the corner and spend 3 for a big one. Also they do charge taxes at the hotel. We didnt eat breakfast there cause I felt it was overpriced so we just got food in the square. Really close to the main train station which was very convenient. Also I went in winter and it was very hot in the hotel. It was over priced in my opinion, and wouldn't stay there again but it was fine for my first time in florence.

Only downside is EXTREMELY thin walls. Im suffering from hearing deficiency, however, we could hear whatever was happening, said or watched next room and corridor. Walls are made of literally nothing known as SOUND ISOLATION!
Swimming pool outdoor is bot heated so just toe dipping, indoor jacuzzi just perfect after them long walks around Florence.
Generally lovely hotel, but invest in some decent ear plugs if you're planning to stay there.

Room was clean and modern, however would call it a standard room not superior as was fairly small. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Location was good for the tram, station and walking into city centre. However it felt unsafe at times with drug dealing going on and drunk people. Didn’t pay extra for breakfast so can’t comment.

My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing! The pool was a lovely way to cool off.
The hotel is in a great location to get to and from the airport.(One tram ride) If you are travelling around Italy, the train station and bus stations are very close. Most attractions are within a walkable distance. The tours and experiences I booked had meeting places within a walkable distance also.

I loved everything about the hotel - it is incredible value for money, however the site claims that the rooms are soundproof, they are but, I could hear children screaming in the halls and other guests passing my room - luckily I didn’t hear anything past 10pm also the pool is great but my swim was ruined by two men smoking cigars at the edge of the pool as a wellness spa I found this pretty disgusting - they made no effort to stay in one area and stood right over me smoking.

This hotel was great and in walking distance to all main areas and sights.
It’s in a great location and a couple of minutes from the train station. There is also a tram stop right outside the hotel directly to the airport which takes 20 minutes but they get packed so allow plenty of time!!!
Lovely modern clean rooms. Our room had a great view of the pool area which was lovely, clean and again modern. The breakfast was great with lots of choice in a lovely breakfast room and conservatory.
All staff helpful and friendly!!

Overall, a high-quality hotel that delivered in regards to staff, location, breakfast and quiet rooms. Just behind the train station so easy to get to with the tram from the airport stopping right in front of the hotel making the journey from the airport £20 cheaper. Not bad. For those who prefer taking a taxi, cars are NOT allowed on the street which means you have to walk to the corner (about 100m). Not a big deal in nice weather, less pleasant during thunder storms. The breakfast offers every option you could possibly wish for with an Italian twist. Unfortunately, I cannot rate the spa facilities since massages and more are only offered between 3 and 8 pm which did not work for my schedule. The view from my balcony overlooked the pool with Florence boasting a fantastic serene side that is hard to imagine given the proximity to such a busy are. Will absolutely stay here again.

Lovely great value hotel

Great hotel reasonably priced a short walk from the station. The hotel is not far from the attractions of Florence. Staff lovely and amazing breakfast. The view from the front of the hotel, street side from our room, wasn’t great but that didn’t matter. We could occasionally hear the tram and announcements during the night. Beds so comfy we slept well.
The spa and pool are lovely very slippery in the spa take care! The roof terrace has a great view too. We would stay here again thank you.

The hotel is fine and the breakfast is good. The staff was pretty unhelpful, left out some major details upon check in like needing to put your room card into a slot for electricity to work. I booked a massage and spa appt and the massage was incredible but there was little to no instruction about the spa and how to use the different pools/tubs shower, sauna. It was just kind of weird overall but the hotel itself is pretty nice and right by the train station and train stop to get to the airport

I booked a massage with Luisa and it was really good - so was the sauna and steam room. This was a plus about the location and unique for a Florence hotel

If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend a room that doesn’t face the street bc of the train that keeps stopping every 6-7 minutes.

The concierge was nice to let me move rooms and showed great customer service about it. I appreciate it

Hotel was very well situated for tourist hotspots but would be concerned re safety for lone or female travellers. Hotel itself was clean but room badly in need of redecoration especially bathroom which was mouldy around door and shower. Air con was very noisy, would also benefit an upgrade. The four star rating is clearly attributed to the amenities ie pool and wellness services.

The included breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The rooms are very clean and updated. Having the outdoor pool was fantastic during our stay to help beat the heat. The roof top patio had an amazing view and was a wonderful place to start the evening off admiring the surroundings with a drink from the bar.

We put it in Google maps and the directions sent us to a different hotel and we had to ask around until we found the correct location of the hotel, which was very inconvenient.

Started well but ended on a bad note

We stayed for five days in August. We chose this hotel because of the pool and the proximity to the station for day trips.

The stay started well. It was only a short walk when we got off our train from Rome, and even though we arrived at 1pm we were able to check in.

We really appreciated the air conditioning on hot days, and loved having a dip in the pool.

However, on our second last day we came downstairs to find the pool drained and under construction.

And on our last day we woke up with no power or water, so we couldn't shower before our flight out, or even use the lifts! We had to drag our luggage down 5 flights of stairs. The man at reception was kind enough to order us a taxi on his mobile after we asked, since we were already running late for our flight after trying to get ourselves ready without power and water.

All that aside, I still probably wouldn't stay there again. I'd prefer to give up the pool to stay closer to the city, or even over the river.

Just had an enjoyable few days staying at the MH Hotel and spa. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the centre so we walked everywhere. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing - great variety of fruits, pastries and cake, and hot food. There is even gelato and pancakes.
The pool area is relaxing and there’s also a roof top terrace.
The bar is only open 5pm until 9pm after which you have to ask reception to make drinks. In my opinion the bar should be open longer so you don’t have to disturb the reception.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Florence.

We had a fantastic stay at the MH Florence Hotel & Spa. Our room was one of a very good size to accommodate the three of us and was very modern in its furnishings and equipment, with a large bathroom (shower not bath) and his n hers basins. The hotel was extremely clean and the air conditioning was fantastic given the lovely hot weather in July. The outdoor pool was a pleasant surprise and large enough for a cooling dip. It is conveniently located as it is a 5 minute walk from the main train station, and 15 to 30 minutes from central Florence and all the main galleries, museums etc. I have scored 4 stars for location only because at night there was the usual groups of people hanging around the train station, that given the police presence meant we felt safe but I can understand other travellers may find it less so. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel which is two stops from the central stop and goes to the airport in the other direction. We used the high speed rail connection from the station to continue our vacation in Venice, with other routes available to Rome and Naples for other travellers. Florence and the hotel exceeded our expectations - can’t wait to visit again.

The close proximity to things makes this hotel, 5 minute walk to the train station (and wider Italy), short walk into the wider attractions of Florence or if walking isn't your thing a tram stop right outside the hotel.

The decor was neutral but nevertheless looked smart and the rooms are pleasant. Staff are pleasant, accomodating and most of all transparent with pricing (making us aware immediately about the city tax but not rushing to take payment).

Great incentives with respect to their mission for sustainability, the complimentary cocktails we received for choosing not to have our rooms made up truly made us feel like we were part of their environmental mission and it was a nice touch to provide the customer a reward for supporting this.

The breakfast in the morning is adequate and fill of plenty of options if you just want a quick bite before a busy day.

Spa facilities were fantastic and clean, really providing us a great space to relax, wind down and enjoy our holiday.

I would without question consider booking again if I returned to Florence.

I like this hotel and its amenities and its location. But I’m not convinced the cleaners know what they’re doing. Two examples, the room wasn’t very clean. A lot of dust under the beds and movable chairs, also the shower room was covered in hair all over the sliding door. My second example is they replaced the bar of soap every day-since when were bars of soaps used only for one time? What an absolute waste. We had a bar of soap open for the sink and another in the shower. So we “used” 12 bars of soap for a 6 night stay. That’s mental

-staff even mentioned that we dont have access to spa since we booked via expedia even through our booking said that it included it . then staff told us otherwise the following day . When we booked, Spa pool was not working and unclean
- poor breakfast . This is not a 4 star rating hotel ! We have travelled around in italy and stayed in multiple 4 star hotels and their standard is much higher . Also 1 staff is serving during breakfast both in kitchen and outside . It difficult to attend to guest requests
- staff on reception are not helpful . We asked simply what would they recommend for us yo visit in the city . She gave us a map and told us search yourself for the interest points .

The AC is not available in this hotel all year round and we were told if it’s hot we should open the window. The hotel decides when to turn the AC on. Your choices in April are heat or nothing. The staff is not very friendly and the hotel does not allow irons. We stayed in several hotels throughout Italy on our trip and this was not a 4 star hotel experience as advertised. The hotel also quoted us a flat rate of $30 euros for the taxi to the airport and the taxi driver told us they are wrong and it’s $45 euros.

Beautiful hotel near S.M. Novella Train Station

This was a great option for us during our 2 night stay since it was about a 6 minute walk to the train station. We were in room 314, we booked a standard double room (it seemed more like a Q bed). The room was perfect, modern, clean, and the bathroom was perfect (walk-in shower, toilet, and bidet). Breakfast was included, which offered a wide selection and was delicious. We did not try the hotel bar, nor the spa. The pool area appeared lovely, but the weather was cool while visiting. We arrived prior to check in time, however our room was ready thus we didn't need to take advantage of the complimentary luggage storage with the front desk. There was a mini bar in the room, which was not complimentary. The windows in the bathroom and room also open for some fresh air. The area surrounding the hotel and train station is not the best, but just be aware when walking when dark. We never had any issues, but just as a precaution. There is also a metro rail stop right outside the hotel if using during your time in the city. Check out was quick, and only needed to pay the nightly city tax. We would consider staying at this property again if visiting Florence.

No laundry in the facility but it states on expedia web search that there is laundry. I want to do my laundry and dont want the hotel to do it for you (at a specific time and there is service charge for it) or have to go outside and do laundry. Be careful when booking hotel that states that there is laundry. It can be very misleading. If i have known, i would never book any hotel with no laundry in the hotel.

Property is very close and easy to get to from the train station and a reasonable walk to the Duomo & surroundings. Balcony is wonderful with a view of the Duomo, breakfast has a nice variety, condition of hotel and room is great. I stayed on the 5th floor and I think there were people moving the balcony furniture around which was loud and I’m a light sleeper. Bed was hard and uneven and pillows were very flat.

Welcoming reception staff. Helpful and informative. Location good. Tram stop outside the front door, good for access, but not a noisy distraction. The range of food for breakfast gave a good choice, including an ice cream maker, which was a bonus in the summer heat. Spacious room had all we needed. Would definitely stay again, especially as an new outdoor pool area is nearly ready for use.

Except the check-in experience which was not nice. The half bald man with beard at the reception was not polite and not professional. I also stood at the front desk for 5 min while he was chatting and having a laugh with the cleaning lady and ignoring me.

Otherwise the hotel is actually nice and well located, close to train station. The let down are the pillows which are thin like a paper

It is actually nice to have a spa (free) after a long day of walking under the heat. Just need to book

Zero flexibility in moving booking

We were very disappointed that the hotel showed no flexibility in allowing us to move our booking due to COVID. Our booking was during a time that it was illegal to leave the UK and despite requesting to move our booking months before the event the hotel did not respond to emails or phone calls.

Great stay. Location is near the intercity train station and a light rail to the Florence airport-- and walkable to all the major sites. Clean and modern-- It took a minute to figure out the energy-smart lighting control (hint: insert your room card). Our first room did have a maintenance problem, but we made an easy switch. Desk help, especially, if I recall, Marcetta, was excellent, multi-lingual and pro-active. Breakfast: amazing (thanks Irena). We didn't know the spa tub would be cool, but that was perfect after a hot day. Caveat: it is not lavish or huge, but for us, just right.

The hotel is right by the train stop but never heard the trains. Lots of restaurants close by. The customer service was always great! Free breakfast was good, the pool was for kids 12 and up so we couldn’t use it with our 3 year old. The rooftop had a great view as well!
Easy walk to downtown, just about a mile. Decorate nicely, clean, two full size mirrors! Safe in room and mini fridge with mini bar.
Only complaint was sounded like someone above us was moving furniture around starting around 5:30 am! My littles slept through it thankfully.

Location is great.. walking distance from pretty much everything we wanted to see. Staff was friendly and helpful. WIFI was the only downside - it was ridiculously slow.

The property and rooms was modern with updated switches and lights in the hotel. This hotel offers complimentary breakfast each morning. This property is located near the train station and if your taking tours through Aviator or Walkabout in Florence the Santa Maria Novella Train station, is within 10 to 12 minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel and you're close to the heart of the city.

Good location for the station and airport. Good breakfast which was included in our price. Clean and modern hotel nice size room. Reception male staff was rude, dismissive and unfriendly. Did not make us feel welcome and couldn't be bothered to assist us. Restaurant staff were accommodating.
