Bar? What bar? No bar to be found. Mold in the shower area/bathroom. Shoe prints on the wall? No breakfast (don't listen to Google). When we got to our room, we had no hand soap in there at all. LOUD outside. I know they can't control traffic and people on the street, but any \"soundproofing\" advertised is definitely not accurate. Shower at night or EARLY am if you want hot water. Staff were very nice and we did appreciate them, but the hotel needs work.

It was a great place for us for our last minute trip. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We traveled with an infant and they were able to accommodate us with a crib for the baby during our stay which was very helpful! The room was clean with fresh sheets and towels, however there was a dirty semi- wet towel in the bathroom behind the door when we checked into the room. Housekeeping did come by daily and there were no other issues with cleanliness at all. The A/C unit was not functioning and we were told that even though they were mini splits that they were not on and the floor was controlled, we were able to cool the room with the windows open but there were quite a few mosquitoes. Some other reviews complained of lots of noise, but we didn’t experience too much noise other than some noise from the trains and the bus stop directly in front of the hotel. There was no noise during bedtime hours or any during the early morning. The listing for the property did show that there was free breakfast but the hotel did not offer this at all. There are two cafes on either side of the hotel which we were able to have breakfast. We would definitely stay again here again and did enjoy our stay overall.

This property is more like a hostel than a hotel. Do not stay here if you are looking for any onsite service or amenities. Nothing described in the listing was available when we stayed.

We were looking for a very last minute place to stay in Florence. I booked this hotel because the listing described on site parking, breakfast and coffee in the lobby, a bar and lounge and it was in a desirable area. There were many positive reviews so I overlooked the negative ones.

The room was very dirty. There was hair and other filth all over the bathroom, the walls, shower and mirror were very dirty. The floors in the room were also dirty and the blankets for the beds were also covered in hair.

There is only a staff member on site from 3-6pm, everything else needs to be communicated through WhatsApp and that is unreliable and some questions went unanswered. When I asked the staff about the discrepancies between the listing and the property I was told that the listing was for a previous property the owner owned and the things I was asking about were not available.

Additionally, the room keys for all guests were all left on a table unattended in the lobby along with forms that clearly displayed guests first and last names, which was a serious safety concern for us as two women travelling together.

I would not recommend this property to anyone.

The hotel was very easy to walk to from the train station, even with a lot of luggage. The check in process was simple and the man at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and has everything you need. Plus the AC works well and the windows are very good at keeping at the street noise. The AC unit did make a noise in the middle of the night. But by then the room was cool enough. So we were able to turn it off and go back to sleep. Overall, a very good place to stay overnight and I would book it again.

These people had an attitude about everything. Most hotels I’ve been to have some sort of iron or steamer available. When I got there, I asked the front desk if they had an iron. They found one for me, which was great. My friend and I stayed for about four nights. On our third day the front desk asked us if we still need the iron because another guest needs it. We said “yeah, they can use it today, but we would like to have another iron tomorrow if possible.” Apparently, these people only have one iron for the whole building. When we asked to have another iron provided to us, they caught an attitude and said that we already had the iron for two days so essentially no, we couldn’t get it back. I told them I had no idea that the iron was supposed to be returned that quickly. I would’ve been mindful and ironed all my clothes immediately had I known. But nobody communicated that to me. When I reached out to the person for whom I had the WhatsApp number about the iron issue, he sent one of his staff members without properly communicating what the issue was. So the staff member comes to my door in a rush, asking me in a panic what was wrong. I looked at him confused and I said I was just waiting on the iron. He then gets an attitude with me as if he couldn’t be bothered. He said another guest was using it. I said “OK so you guys can take the iron from us when someone else needs it but now that I need it, you won’t ask for a back?“ essentially penalizing for their bad communication

Hotel is 2 min walk from train station which was convenient. We found the photos looked nothing like the room we stayed in. If you have luggage, be warned as there are no elevators. We found the bed to be uncomfortable and the bathroom was not to standard (shower door was coming off and there was mold)

The property is under construction and the entrance is dirty. Location is great bedside the bus and train terminal. Main floor room you hear all the street noise and the main door opening and closing at all hours. It’s a great location to travel around other towns near Florence. It’s convenient and budget friendly. Staff were great and very helpful.

Horrible experience - would give a zero if I could

This was a bad experience. Really, the only positive side to this property is the location near the train station. The condition of the building is bad. If you have heavy bags get ready to lift them up by yourself because there is no elevator - only a lot of steep stairs. The only relatively good experience was with the lady that cleans the rooms. Toilet was broken and it leaked. Bed sheets were not clean. You can readily notice that they never wash the bed decorations. There was a really bad sewer smell at the entrance, and the hotel is right in front of 2 bus stops so the noise starts from the very early morning. If you get the first floor room you are in bad luck because of the lack of insulation to the weather and to the sound. Staff service is so limited. The hotel's owner does not afford a full-time staff so if you find yourself needing something you are in bad luck because the staff is rarely there. If you are smart - you will stay away from this property.

Stay was Ok,The Manager Marco was very obliging and helpful but it stopped there ,The room a single, Was the size of a postage stamp and very crowed once I had my large suitcase in there ,The shower is clean but very small ,Kept on banging my arms trying to lather up, I had paid extra for a room including breakfast ,However I was advised the first morning that Breakfast service was not available ,No compensation was offered and was told to use the bar on the corner,The hotel has NO LiFT so be warned if you have heavy luggage and are on the second floor as I was ,However the Hotel is across the road from the main rail station and is very central also there is a Tram from the airport to almost the front door of the hotel which is much cheaper than a taxi but be prepared to fight the millions of tourists apart from that ,The hotel is clean enough by Italian standards but don’t expect luxury or possibly a breakfast .

Not the best night in Florence

This was a weird stay. Communication was good, and the attendant notified me what the door code was and that my key would be at the front desk when I arrived. Although it was helpful to have that information, it was a little alarming to know that anyone who came into the building could have taken our key. The pillow was unfortunately the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever laid my head on. My friend and I were departing at different times and she left for her train first. Minutes after her leaving, the attendant burst into my room without knocking. I was still in bed! Lastly, the signage in the room states that checkout is 11am. My train was at 11:30 so was planning to take every minute to relax. At 10:30 the desk manager called to tell me to check out!
This place is across the street from the train station and that was about the only good quality. Don’t expect much from the Hotel Bella

This hotel is basically 2 minutes away from the Santa María Novella Train station. It is nota convencional hotel, it is more like a big Airbnb. You have a code to.open the door and from there ho to your room. It includes light breakfast and staff is friendly. At the tiny reception there is hardly anyone. For check-in they live uour key and instructions by rhe reception desk and if you need anything there is a number to call. It can get a little noicy because of the train but since we were really tired it didn't bother us at all. It is at 15 minute walk from the Duomo which it's very convenient.

Fast easy check in as soon as I arrived. Marco explained very clearly how to access the building after hours and carried my baggage upstairs for me.
Excellent location right across from the train station Santa Maria Novella made it perfect for travelling in and out of Florence by train.
I was able to get everywhere on foot, but there are lots of public transportation stops for those who prefer bus or tram.

Clean, convenient and well-run. A nice but not elaborate breakfast. Stayed the first and last night of a Tuscan vacation. The small hotel does not have much public space except for the breakfast room. There are only a handful of rooms on each of the three floors so there are no bus groups. But at breakfast you may find yourself in conversation with travelers from the other side of the world comparing your plans to see all the beauty that is in Florence. rooms are clean, quiet and well-maintained. The proprietor was charming and helpful with suggestions when asked.

It was very clean and nice, but a bit far away from the main sights if you are worried about walking distances. Being further away though meant it was quieter than places close to the sites. My husband and I stayed at Hotel Bella Firenze for three nights as part of our Golden Wedding anniversary trip. We could not fault anything about the hotel, from the service received to the friendliness of the staff.From Marco and Roberto - the owners - to Giancarlo and Tommy, the two members of staff who we met, nothing was too much trouble for them. When we arrived, we were greeted by Marco who immediately noticed that I would be unable to tackle the stairs, and allocated us a room on the ground floor, which although it was at street level was not noisy, even though our stay was over a weekend. The room was comfortable, with a working mini bar, and the air conditioning was marvellous considering the temperature was an average of 30 degrees even at night.
The proximity to the Santa Maria Novella station was excellent, being only three minutes walk away. Even with my difficulty with walking, I found it easy to get to the centre, and for going further afield most of the local busses stopped just outside. I would not hesitate to book the hotel if ever I go to Florence again.

Great, cool room - so clean. Near the train station for an early morning tram ride to the airport. About a mile walk to the major sights, but a lovely one. Breakfast was perfect before we took off. Desk people were cheerful, kind, informative.

The good: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The convenience to the SMN station is unbeatable. The room was clean and fairly comfortable. Much of Florence is walkable from here. Made-to-order Italian coffee at breakfast. Huge number of choices for nearby dining. AC for hot weather months (we didn't need it in late May). Wi-Fi worked fine.
The other: Room fridge was not working (seems to be a common problem in Italian hotels). Aside from the excellent coffee, the breakfast was your standard mountain of starch and sugar. Location is a bit sketchy and very loud at night.

I stayed in hotel for 2 nights. The walls are thin; you can hear people using the toilet next door.
Recommend using earplugs when sleeping. The staff is very nice. They had to carry my suitcase
up a stairway to my room because there is no elevator. The stairway could be slippery. My main
complaint is the shower. It is small and hard to bend over to wash feet. The hotel seemingly has
a policy of limiting the shower water spray. Also I had to take cold showers twice. The first was
around 7:00pm so I thought that I might be competing for hot water from the other clientele. So
the next day I took a shower at 3:00pm; the result was the same low shower spray and cold water.
I had just recently moved from another hotel 1 block away because of availability and they did not
have these water limitations.

Lovely hotel and great management

While Robert did his very best to help, nothing can really make up for cold showers two mornings in a row. We did get moved to another room on our last night, for which we were very grateful. However, I find it hard to believe that this is not a regular occurrence, and should be addressed by management in a more proactive fashion. Otherwise, this is a lovely little hotel, with outstanding management by Robert. It just needs a little more to elevate it.

One night stay before we moved into a hotel around the corner for a team event. Really friendly staff - very gracious when I accidentally knocked over the plant in the lobby! Very clean, quiet, despite being on the ground floor near the stairs, and over the road from the railway station. Very nice bottle of wine left as a welcome gift in the room - even for one night. Lovely breakfast.

The hotel is in a perfect location from the train station. Marco gave great tourist advice the first day we were there and we found our way around easy. Everything within 15-20 walk. Saw Robert rest of the time and he was great and helpful. Their boiler went out and it was a Sunday so we had cold shower last day. Robert felt vary bad and wouldn’t let us pay for mini bar items. We would stay there again if we go.

Wonderful Service!

Wonderful service. I was a woman on my own for 1 night. When they saw me struggling with my suitcase, they immediately came outside, and took it to my room on the 2nd floor. They were also extremely helpful in giving advice on what to do & how to get there. The hotel is small but lovely. And when you ask for a cappuccino in the morning, they make it by hand--not always a given in Italy now. The train station is very close, and the hotel is easy to find. Also in a very quiet neighborhood. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Florence.

Nice Value hotel near train station

Our stay at the hotel started off rocky, as they did not have the prepayment information from Orbitz. This resulted in a 30 delay in check-in, not exactly a great first impression for tired and hungry travelers. The positive side of the check-in was that the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, this definitely helped the situation.

The interior and exterior of the hotel have the charm of a small European hotel. Nothing extravagant, but clean and simple.

The room was rather large for a standard room in Europe (with the exception of the bathroom). Everything was very clean, but my wife and I could not help but be a little turned off by the two different plug-in air fresheners in the room. I imagine the rooms can get a bit musty smelling, especially in summer.

The biggest disappoint of the room was the airconditioning. It could not keep up on a 72 degree night...I imagine it would be worthless in the summer. This made for an uncomfortable and restless sleep.

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to train station and bus stops. The area is nothing special. There are few dinner options near the hotel, so expect a 10-15 walk to find meal options at night. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town area (Duomo, etc). The walk is easy and my wife and I always felt safe, even coming back late at night.

Bottom line. I would recommend this hotel for the location to the train, and travelers looking for a basic, no-frills value hotel in Florence.

Hotel was in a great area. Staff were really good with friendly service. The ac was a little weird to understand so the room was hot. I would say it was more like a fan than an AC and was pointed upwards to the ceiling and not towards the room. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

No complaints at all apart from the room being a bit too hot, even at night with the window open. Airport bus stop is just a 2 minute walk away and the Dome, Cathedral, museums, galleries, etc are all +/- a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, there's a good continental breakfast every morning and the wifi was fine. Satellite TV in the room. I would happily stay here again.

Great value for money. One of the most pleasurable places I have stayed. Perfectly located just off the road running next to the train station. Wifi that works, breakfast that is fresh and good quality, and clean rooms with good bedding. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay again.

A friend in Firenze

Robert was a one- man show at the front desk. So friendly and helpful in answering my questions about Florence. Hotel is just around the corner from train station. So I just dropped my luggage and was sightseeing right away. This hotel is a step up from basic room. The bed is surprisingly soft and comfortable. Bathroom was good size. About 10 min walk from city center.

Absolutely fantastic!

Everything at Bella Firenze was perfect. First I have to thank Robert, Marco, Tommy and the whole team for being so nice and friendly. That made everything even better. The location is perfect, just steps from the train station and the bus station, therefore it's perfect for side trips and, in case of extreme need, public transportation. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean all the time and perfect for our needs. The bed was quite comfortable. Curiously, being so close to the station, the room it was perfectly silent all the time. Breakfast was simple but also fresh and always enough to start the day. Robert makes the best cappuccinos in town! Many little details made our experience quite enjoyable... biscotti, wine, recommendations for dinner and places, and non stopping smiles. The wi-fi always worked very well. The hotel has no major extra amenity, but you don't need it in Firenze... the city IS the amenity!
I'll definitely go back over and over again, and I'm recommending it to all my friends and travelers. Thanks again for your service!

The Bella Firenze was an excellent choice for our 2 nite stay. Robert & his staff were so helpful, including giving us an adapter for our adapter that saved us more than once on the rest of our trip. Don't let the stairs concern you, you'll need them to work off the wonderful food you'll find! Breakfast was very good, plenty of options to get you started on your day. Walking distance to all we wanted to see and do. There's a great laundry facility nearby. Take Robert's recommendation for restaurants, spot on! and very close by. Thanks Robert!

The hotel is just one minute's walk from the station, and the room gave us everything we needed, including an air conditioned refuge from the terrible summer heat and a complementary bottle of wine.

Home away from home!

Amazing! My daughter and I felt special and were given lots of attention especially when they carried our giant suitcases up the stairs! They recommended a wonderful restaurant across the street that had great prices and incredible food. Super close to the train station and shopping. We would definitely come back and stay! A nice small size hotel. You have to use stairs that is good for health, however, it is a problem for older guests.
Breakfast should be improved as it has very limited choice. Close to the city center and most of the historical places can be reached on foot.

Good place to stay

A very good B&B. Clean and location just few mins from Florence SMN station. Breakfast spread is limited but enough to keep you going. Only thing that bothered me was that the room air con was not working properly, it was too hot inside the room and I had to sleep keeping the window open. Staff very helpful.

Comfort in Rome?

We were disappointed not to have tea/coffee making facilities or a fridge in the room. The beds had the hardest mattresses that we have experienced in the World. It was difficult to get a good nights sleep as we were never comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful except for the General Manager who did not smile once the whole time that we were there.
