Dirty appliances and fixtures. Bed wildly uncomfortable and lumpy. Things falling apart in the rooms, like loose or stuck hinges, light switches, fixtures. This hotel was absolutely not worth the the price, and I actually wish there was some way I could get a partial refund.

A delightful hotel in Tuscany

This is a beautiful unspoiled traditional Tuscan hotel, rooted in the culture of the region. The decor of the bedroom and the lovely sitting room is delightful. The staff are courteous and friendly always willing to help.
Below the hotel is an excellent restaurant, good food and of course wine to match.

The entire staff at the hotel was exceptional. From check-in to departure they took excellent care of the guest. The hotel is the perfect combination of old world Italian charm and modern touches to the rooms. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was everything you would expect. Excellent cappuccino made to order. I was really happy here and would choose this hotel again as a home base for getting around Tuscany. Easy access to Florence by bus from here as well for day trips. Excellent ristorante attached to the hotel.

This hotel is very old and the rooms are super dated. The pictures shown in Expedia are misleading. The lobby itself is high on the second floor and you have to climb 20 high steps with all your luggage to get there. Our room was given even higher on the third floor which was another 16 high steps. When we informed them this could not work because we have multiple bags they told us there is no elevator. We asked to cancel our reservation and they told us they have no control because it’s through Expedia but if Expedia asks to cancel the hotel will approve the cancellation. One week later, after multiple requests to cancel by Expedia on my behalf the hotel has refused. If you are a solo adventurer then maybe this property works for you but please don’t go here as a family. You will lose your money and peace of mind.

Perfect stay in Tuscany

From the moment we walked in and was greeted by the proprietor, we were blown away by this amazing property. Great service, hospitality and cleanliness. Breakfast was delicious and exceptional. It exceeded our expectations with meats, fresh mozzarella, eggs, croissants, and fresh fruit and vegetables. We will definitely be back!

Worth a stay

Comfortable room with friendly and very helpful staff. Good breakfast with a lovely restaurant for the evening. Set in a very pretty and interesting small town, reasonably accessible for Florence. Would be great to visit during the final week of the wine festival in either September or October.

This family owned and operated B&B was a favorite on our month long trip. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and the roof top terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or spritz. Breakfast buffet is very ample and the breakfast room very cozy. The adjacent outdoor restaurant next door was very nice to walk right next door to. It all feels very family like. We’d recommend and hope to come back.

A Wonderful Stay

It was a real treat to stay at this hotel and we'd recommend it wholeheartedly. The family who ran it were friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. We were helped in arranging a visit to Florence by bus from the nearby square, given times and could purchase tickets from the reception. The hotel was full of old fashioned charm especially the breakfast room and there was a wonderful terrace with great views of the town. It was very easy to park in the adjoining squares. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet provided was excellent.
The hotel was excellently located to explore Tuscany and after the crowds of San Gimignano and Florence it was good to stay at a much quieter town. We'd like to stay again sometime.

Charming family run hotel--father and sons. Thomas and Matteo were friendly, personable and eager to help us make the most of our stay. Thomas even came out to help us in with our luggage when we arrived late at night. Nice, simple breakfast included. Beautiful rooftop terrace. Needed to go out to our car to get something late after the front desk was closed. The lobby was dark and the front door was locked. Could not figure out how to get out without causing a stir, so we just waited till the morning--but felt a little trapped at the time. Nevertheless, would definitely stay again.

Be prepared for the staff to be unable to help you with (necessary) mass transit to Florence; on the other hand, I lost an iPhone in a taxi and the co-owner helped me speak tothe taxi company in Italian. So that was very nice!

EXTRAODINARY service and personal attention!

Matteo, Martina and Tomasso provide a personal attention many five star hotel wish to have. As all historic Italian hotels in a town center, it is a nice complicated 200 year old structure. Rooms are well illuminated, and of a good size. Restaurant is outstanding! We enjoyed our stay!

Maybe far from the city, but beyond worth it!

When I booked hotel, I didn't really look at location (my bad!). When we arrived at the train station and requested a taxi - figuring it could only be a couple of minutes away - boy, were we in for a surprise! 35 Euros later, and we had arrived. As you could imagine, I was mortified, I couldn't afford to make that taxi ride EVERY DAY to go into the city of Florence. I was already thinking of an excuse to give to the hotel to cancel my reservation.
Once we got there, we were greeted by such an amazing family. EVERYONE was family, including us! They spoke great english and knew how to make us feel completely comfortable.
Boy, did it get better when they offered us 2 Euro bus tickets to get us in to the city! That's it!! So, we stayed, and we were really happy we did. We got our room and opened our windows and had the hills of Tuscany to take in.
The hotel itself has a restaurant, try the ravioli!!! it's a must!! I promise it's worth it.

The little town seems MINI, but it has everything you need. There's a self-service washer/dryer, pizzerias, a HUGE supermarket and pharmacies.

We were very happy we got the hustle and bustle of the city but getting to come home to a relaxing and romantic Tuscan hotel.

A home from home

We are a london based events company, so whereas I didn't stay there myself, some of our team stayed there while installing our tents for a large Indian wedding in Impruneta. They were extremely impressed by this hotel and have referred to it as a home from home. Their plane was delayed so they didn't arrive until 11 pm on the first night . The wonderful family owners asked them if they had eaten anything, and when our team said no, the family explained that although the restaurant was closed they would prepare a delicious cold platter including Prosciutto con melon and Mozzarella Pomodoro Basilico, which they ate with a few beers on the roof terrace overlooking the central piazza. The next night our team tried the Homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli with truffles and loved it so much that they ordered it again on their last night! What they have told me about this hotel, in particular their comments about the rooms and food and most importantly the friendliness of the family owners and their staff, makes it a certainty that my husband and I will stay here when we next go to the Florence area. The only thing is, delicious as the Ravioli con Tartufi might be, we want to try the lot!

The best of customer service

You will not find more gracious or charming hosts. The hotel owners are eager to help you enjoy your vacation and make things easier for you. The hotel rooms and common areas are very pretty. It was what I expected a Tuscan hotel to look like. Art history is my interest, but I preferred staying in Impruneta instead of Florence because it was more convenient for visiting the rest of the gorgeous Tuscan area. It is also very easy to hop a bus to Florence for the museums, etc. The town is in a lovely area & there is a great view of it all from the terrace of the hotel. You will enjoy your stay.

Charming Hotel

Words can not express how pleasant, friendly and great the staff was to us during our 2 day stay. The family that owns and runs this hotel genuinely cares for their guest, from check-in to dinner service. The food there is amazing!!!! We would go back just for the food alone. It is a modest hotel right next to a church and has that Tuscan charm that most look for when traveling there. We aren't picky travelers to beging with, all we ask for is cleanliness, friendly staff and good food, we got it all at the Bellavista.

Wonderful hotel

We loved our 5 nights at Hotel Bellavista. The family who runs it is very warm and ready to help with absolutely everything. We booked based on great reviews and they were true. I did the cooking class and enjoyed it immensely. Also, Matteo organized a wine tasting for us and went above and beyond to make sure we got there. We very much enjoyed the 35-45 min bus ride into Florence, as it is very picturesque, but were happy to be coming back to quiet Impruneta every night. We would certainly recommend this hotel!

Reasonably priced hotel 15m from Florence centre

We were a little anxious about the boarded up windows on the ground floor but once we got to the hotel level everything was fine. Staff very helpful with good English spoken. Room is reasonable size, clean, excellent shower. On main square, very loud church bells strike every quarter hour during the day but we went into Florence early so this wasn't a problem. Free parking advertised is actually municipal parking which is free from 8 in the evening to 8 the next morning. If going into Florence we suggest taking a bus as parking is a nightmare and fiendishly expensive in the centre.

Overall we had a great stay at the Bellavista Impruneta. We booked it on the strength of the online reviews of the restaurant, which did not disappoint. The boar stew was fabulous, as were several other dishes. As well, all members of the family running the hotel were courteous, helpful, and friendly. Matteo in particular was helpful by email prior to our visit, and it was a shame that he was out of town during out visit as we had wanted to thank him in person. Due to its location on the town piazza, the hotel can be noisy at night, but it was manageable. A real taste of small town Italy.

A small family owned hotel in Impruneta. The staff is very very nice and helpful, especially Paulo, who took care of our car, our meals, and everything else.
We took a bus into Florence, which was very convenient.
A big COOP is nearby, which was very convenient for us.
The hotel owns a restaurant on the roof. The restaurant is very good, however, to get to the restaurant you use the intenal staircase of the hotel. Late at night, when the guests leave the restaurant, they pass near your door shouting and laughing...

Gluten free friendly

We booked a night at this hotel to attend a wine festival in nearby Greve. Our host, when hearing that I have Celiac disease and required a gluten-free meal told us that both he and the chef had been trained and certified in preparing a safe meal. He brought out a bag of gluten-free pasta and assured me that it would be prepared separately and be part of a meal safe for me.
Our dinner that evening was perfect. While my husband enjoyed a delicious ravioli dish prepared with home-made pasta I was able to enjoy gluten-free pasta with a delicious regional pork sauce, a warm gluten-free roll and a large serving of fresh green beans cooked to perfection.
I cannot say enough about the friendliness and care from our host. He escorted us to an enclosed parking space when we arrived in the midst of a local market which was in the public parking lot, he arranged the gluten-free meal I have described and he and his friendly wife shared in a discussion of the area during the second World War, loaning my husband a book describing some of the damage the town and the hotel sustained during that period.
This is a small, European hotel----no glitz. Just an adequate room with a sparkling clean bathroom, a comfortable lounge with antiques, a pleasant breakfast room and a roof top restaurant with a choice of dining outside or indoors. All this combined with a friendly, experienced host in a hotel run by the same family for four generations.

Ho passato una notte nell'hotel che si trova al centro del paese.
Stile vintage in linea con il posto che si trova fra le colline della zona di Firenze.
Un vero angolo di Toscana \"vera\" con ristorante sotto l'albergo, per cui comodissimo per chi arriva da una lunga giornata di lavoro e non vuole riprendere l'auto per raggiungerne un'altro.
Personale cordiale, stanza essenziale, ma funzionale e pulita.

Hotellet ligger nær bussstop. De tar ca en times tid til å komme seg til Firenze , men bussen er klimatisert og vi betalte bare 1.70 Euro per pers.en vei.

Tres bel accueil dans un tres bel établissement.

Tres joli hotel de famille typique. La propreté est irréprochable. L'accueil tres chaleureux les propriétaires sont tres gentils et serviables. Ils font l effort de parler français et vous conseillent pour visiter. Le site est tres bien place et l'hotel Bellavista porte tres bien son nom. La vue depuis la terrasse est exceptionnelle.

Amazing experience.

My first impression was that the hotel was a little old and dated but I very quickly fell in love with it. This is not a luxury hotel but I don't believe it should be and it wasn't what I wanted either. It is very traditional and it is probably the most charming hotel I have ever been at. The owner and his family run the place, they are so lovely and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my stay. At first I felt a little forced to go the roof top terrace and drink a beer... I would have regretted it, if I had not gone because a quick beer turned into a 90 minute affair, the view is wonderful and the air up there, incomparable.

I was then somewhat forced to go have dinner at the restaurant located downstairs, in the same building as the hotel, (they are not affiliated by the way, so if you want to book a table, you must do this directly with the restaurant). I also have no regrets taking their recommendation because eating there, is as much an experience as the hotel itself. Food was delicious and the owner and staff were really good fun. This is a very popular place by the way, so booking is important.

Väldigt trivsamt hotell en bit utanför Florens

Hade en väldigt trevlig vistelse på Hotell Bella Vista i Impruneta. Målet för resan var Florens, men att bo en liten bit utanför blev mer prisvärt och väldigt trevligt. Funkade bra med buss till och från Florens, om det inte var för sent på kvällen. Fint att åka genom böljande kullar och vingårdar i Toscana på vägen mot Florens. Hotellet var fint och gemytligt. Personalen var jättetrevlig och professionell. Jag åkte ensam och de ansträngde sig för att min vistelse skulle bli så bra som möjligt. Fixade frukost extra tidigt när jag skulle åka och bistod med tips för en bra vistelse. Restauranten var den bästa på hela semestern. Glömmer inte den lasagnen!

Et 3-stjernet hotel der lever fuldt op til det.

Vi var på vej fra Montone til Pisa og skulle bruge 2 overnatninger. Vi søgte via. Hotels.com. Og fandt dette dejlige hotel i den lille by. Hvor der er massere af spise muligheder.
Da vi ankom, blev vi modtaget med smil og venlighed.
Værelset var fint og rent.
Morgenmaden var god.
De var hjælpsomme.
Ved udtjekningen var der ingen problemer.
Alt i alt et rigtigt godt 3-stjernet hotel med sjæl og god gammel service.

Premetto che tornerei e tornerò in questo hotel e che il giudizio generale è molto buono. La struttura è da sempre pittorescamente gestita dalla famiglia proprietaria dell’hotel. La loro capacità di relazione, il loro calore e la loro disponibilità inducono a sorvolare sui limiti di questa storica struttura. Limiti che però esistono; uno per tutti, la colazione proprio un po’ povera.

Schönes Zimmer mit sehr freundlichem \"Personal\" (älteres Ehepaar) , aber wer schlecht einschlafen kann, sollte Kompromisse machen, denn das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Marktplatzes, aufdem abends Kinder laut spielen. P.S. Man kann auch sehr leckeren Wein bei den Besitzern, dem älteren Ehepaar, kaufen und kann sich oben auf die Terasse setzen, die jedoch leider nicht mehr bewirtschaftet wird, und den Win und die schöne Aussicht genießen. Destoweiteren sind die Besitzer bei etwaigen Fragen immer sehr hilfsbereit.

Fantastisk hotell med fantastisk peronale

Fantastisk hotell med fantastisk personale. Hotellet er drevet i mer enn 100 år, men rommene er nyoppusset og i perfekt stand. Gode senger, bra, gratis WIFI, rommene har luftavkjølig om det er varmt. Selv om det er i Italia, er det lite trafikkstøy, for de fleste rommene vender ut mot en liten gate og en hage, hvor det er servering. På taket er det en stor terrasse. Der er det perfekt å stitte med noe godt i glasset og se ut på torvet og kirken, som har klokkespill hver kveld kl 19:15. Det føles som i filmen \"Cinema Paradiso\". Du får virkelig den rette Italia-stemningen i dette huset. Personalet er meget hjelpsomme med tips til turer, vinsmaking, terracotta innkjøp (som er et must, for Impruneta ER terracotta \"hovedstaden\" i Italia med flere fabrikker og utsalg), eller annet man har behov for. Impruneta ligger bare 40 minutter busstreise fra Firenze, og det går minst en buss pr. time. Billetter har de selvsagt på hotellet, samt gratis kart og masse gode tips. Frokosten er veldig bra. Det er låst parkering for bilen i hotellets bakgård.

Sehr freundliches Hotel- man fühlt sich wie zu Hau

Nach ausgiebigem Frühstück, Startpunkt zu vielen Ausflügen in der Toskana .

Gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.

Typisch Italienisch eingerichtet.

Einmal die Woche sehr gutes Abendessen auf der schönen Dachterrasse.
