Cons: the bathroom and room smelled like a sewer. We opened the window but it was no help. It was disgusting. The bed was very uncomfortable and had to pay 50 cents every time we used the elevator.
Pros: large room and the ladies at the front desk were very nice.

This property is in a perfect location. It is walking distance to the old city, stores and restaurants. We were able to sign up for a food tour that started about one block from the B & B. The breakfast, coffee, juice and a dessert was across the street in a small coffee bar and was included with the stay. The elevator is small, but there are stairs if you are like me and don't like elevators. The staff was friendly, and I felt that I was an actual \"resident\" of Naples after being at this property with my wife for 5 days.

Unfortunately one of the three rooms (three of us each with our own room) did not have working AC and it was hot so that was not great. Also, the elevator broke so we had to drag our bags down three flights of stairs. The elevator was very sketchy and you had to use coins to use it. The staff seemed nice but did not help to take bags down, was not able to fix the AC and we requested a taxi pick up and they were not able to do this successfully. It was quiet, clean and bed comfortable. I am mixed on whether I would refer anyone though.

The property is in a great location right at the edge of the historical centre. It's walking distance to a lot of the main sites and lots of bars/restaurants. The room was clean and quite large, generally very quiet too as the property is accessed by going through a courtyard as opposed to directly facing the street. There's a small breakfast included which is in a bar across the street.

Very basic accommodation. Bed was too hard and (only) 2 very flat pillows were provided. Have to pay to use the very tiny elevator (rooms are on the 4th floor) and I don't remember that being mentioned in the description before booking.

Old building (which is expected) had a hard time with preventing noise. Limited breakfast \"provided\" at a nearby cafe. Like most hotel rooms in older Italian buildings I've stayed in, there wasn't an interior lock to prevent others entering. There wasn't a Do Not Disturb sign that could be used. Housekeeping tried to enter while I was there without knocking first. I didn't feel safe that someone couldn't just come in.

This was a very good choice. It is a very short walk to the Archeology museum as well as the metro. A short metro ride to the train station for easy access to Herculaneum and Caserta Palace. There are many cafes, restaurants and bakeries in the area. The room was clean and bright. The staff were super helpful and we were able to store our luggage on the last day before we departed for our late train to Rome. The bed and pillows were very firm and our room faced the busy, noisy street which caused us some grief when we were trying to sleep.

This is a lovely, well-managed B&B. The staff was welcoming and informative. The rooms were clean and had all amenities you might need including a fridge and coffee setup. It’s close to a great restaurant Re Lazzarone and includes breakfast at Karmacore which was also great. It’s on the third floor of a very old building that has a lift.

Antonella was so helpful. They are providing euros for the (extremely small) elevator to take you and your luggage to the 3rd floor. There are also stairs for the more fit. Our room was huge and well appointed. It was very clean. You can open the windows to enjoy the noisy Napoli environment or close them and there’s hardly any noise from the street. Everything worked well in the room. Would definitely go back!

Great location, very firm mattress.

Hotel was proactive in arranging our arrival. Antonella was very helpful. She greeted us at the street and explained the map of the city. It was a popular area in the evening for bars and restaurants.
The elevator cost 50 cents to use so bring change. Otherwise it will be a hassle for you. The bed was very firm. Not comfortable for me, but if you like a very firm mattress, they have it. Overall it was a good stay. I would recommend it for the neighborhood, proximity to archeological museum and lively night life. But with the caveat about the elevator and mattress.

Things to note: Elevator is accessible with a fee, The bathroom shower needed some upgrading and was fairly small, there isnt someone at the front desk at all times (some solo travelers may book hotels expecting to have someone present, just an fyi that it isnt the case here). Convenient location with easy access to public transport and various attractions. Francesco was very helpful and friendly. He arranged time to meet us on arrival and provided us with useful local information. The property was clean and tidy. Balcony windows shut most of the noise from busy street. I was very lucky, the place is spotless, well decorated, very fresh. Antonella and Francesco were very attentive and helpful.

The location is perfect in the heart of town but in a quiet area, you can walk to nice restaurants and bars. The metro is also super close by.

We enjoyed our stay at the BnB. Antonella was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We were a bit shocked of the neighbourhood after coming from the centre of Rome and were surprised by the garbage in the streets. We soon got use to our surroundings and saw the beauty of the neighbourhood. The restaurants were fabulous and the little cafe where we got our morning breakfasts was lovely, and I highly recommend the brioche. We loved the convenience of the metro as we took day trips from Naples. We really felt immersed in the culture. As non-smokers, it was difficult to get used to the amount of secondhand smoke. Those who have asthma should be aware, and choose to eat indoors to avoid it.
Thank you for a true cultural experience. ❤️🇮🇹

Convienient and clean

This is a great place to stay a night or two. Very clean and spacious room. Antonella was amazing at check-in and provided some great recommendations and even gave me her number in case I had any other questions. The location is close to Spaccanapoli which was the main highlight of our visit. I wouldn’t recommend driving here as the streets are INSANE and the parking lot nearby charged us 40€ for less than 24 hours.

The Staff - Serena and Antonella (sorry if I spelled their names incorrectly) - were super helpful and sweet. The room was pretty basic, but clean. Some areas of the room should be repainted. The one thing that I was unaware of was that you had to use a small elevator to get up to the hotel (which is more like a B&B or upscale hostel), where only one person can bring up the luggage AND you need to pay 0.50 Euros for each ride. The bed was uncomfortable and the room needs another set of pillows,so that each person has two pillows. This property was good for one night and for the price, but unfortunately, I will not go back to this property the next time I am in Napoli.

Ideally Located B&B in central Naples

Excellent B&B in the centre of town, ideally located for wandering down town and the Bay area, via dei Tribunali area for shops and restaurants, Metro Line 1 and 2 stations Museo and Cavour and a short walk to the National Archaeological museum.
Entrance can be a little disconcerting as you need to enter a courtyard and take a “tiny” elevator to the 3rd floor. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, on arrival Francesco provided a large map of the area and orientated us with regard to where to go in the local area and transport options and answered all of our questions. He also arranged a day trip with guided tour to Pompeii with pick up and drop off at the B&B and provided us with some excellent restaurant recommendations within walking distance.
Our room was a good size, bright and airy with a separate large bathroom with a shower, large walk in wardrobe, TV fridge / mini bar and air con. We found the WiFi to work perfectly well for all of our needs.
We were in contact with the staff prior to our arrival, they arranged pick up at the airport on arrival and the return journey, they also provided details of excursions for us to peruse prior to our trip. We would certainly consider staying here if returning to Naples, thoroughly recommended.

It's a cozy place, nicely located in walking distance from everything I needed. Metro, museums, downtown.
From the street, through one of Naples hidden yards, up an original elevator and you're there.
Breakfast was served in a tiny and lovely coffee house at the corner. Juices there are an absolute must to try and the owner made each day start off great.

To access the property, we had to cross a courtyard which was rather grimey. Then to a 2 person elevator, or one person/one piece of luggage. To the reception on the third floor. The receptionist hurried us thru the attractions (which we didn’t need as our plans were made). We were given three keys, one for our room, one for door to reception and one for the outside door. NO STAFF AT HOTEL FROM 4-8 am. No emergency number. This left us feeling very isolated. What would we have done in an emergency??? Room was spacious, bed hard, towels skimpy. Very clean, in spite of the review.

The Smorfia is a great place to spend a night or two in Naples. It was very very clean and conveniently located near a Metro station and the Archaeological Museum. It is a very reasonably priced bed and breakfast. Breakfast was good and the rooms are large with their own on suite bath.

This hotel is beautiful. The owner clearly carefully selected every detail with the guests’ comfort in mind. Not only that, but it is impeccably clean. The man who checked us in (who I got the impression was the owner) was patient, helpful, and encouraged us to see more of Naples than we had originally planned. We are glad for this, and wish we had planned for more time in Naples, as it is a charming city with fantastic restaurants and a charming main thoroughfare. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Es un hotel con habitaciones ubicado en un Edificio muy Antiguo que no hace bien con las buenas condiciones del hotel y los cuartos. Edificio que hay que pagar por usar ascensor, estrecho y para un cuarto piso con equipaje no es bueno. Creo que el hotel podria Mostar mas esto en su perfil. Desayuno es en una cafeteria a 50 mts, pero todo esto es mejor colocarlo en la oferta. EN mi caso estas sorpresas no suman para un impacto positivo y resta valor a todo lo bueno de las habitaciones.

Nous avons été accueillis dans ce charmant b&b par notre hôte qui nous a aimablement indiqué les sites remarquables à visiter dans le centre historique. La chambre qui nous a été attribuée été particulièrement bien décorée, propre et confortable.
Le petit déjeuner se prend chaque matin dans un bar à proximité, il est servi par un personnel particulièrement serviable.

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage, die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr nett und sehr bemüht. Das Zimmer ist grundsätzlich schön, leider war das Bett ziemlich unbequem und relativ klein. Das Zimmer hätte sauberer sein können bzw. die tägliche Reinigung ließ zu wünschen übrig. Das Frühstück gibt es in einem Café gegenüber, das ist typisch italienisch aber lecker.

Super moderne und hübsche Unterkunft

Die ersten drei Tage hat mir alles an der Unterbringung super gefallen. Vor allem die Stille war enorm. Das lag wohl an den fehlenden anderen Gästen. Als die dann kamen, musste ich feststellen, dass das Kopfende meines Bettes an das Badezimmer des Nachbarzimmers grenzt und beinahe jeder Laut durchkommt. Außerdem fiel mir die ersten Tage bereits ein merkwürdiger Geruch auf. Aber erst als die Putzfrau am vierten Tag die Badezimmertür geschlossen hatte und ich sie Stunden später öffnete wurde mir die Intensität des moderiegen Geruchs wirklich bewusst. Ich gehe stark davon aus, dass dieser durch das alte Gebäude ausgelöst wird und die Betreiber des B&B nichts daran ändern können. Aber jemand mit einer feinen Nase bekommt da vermutlich Probleme. Davon abgesehen war alles andere aber Spitze!

Chambre type bnb, très bon emplacement dans le centre historique mais au calme sur l'arrière cour de l'immeuble. L'ascenseur est payant 50 ct normalement.
Accès par le metro Museo a 3 min à pied
Chambre spacieuse et propre.
Accueil de Antonella tres sympatique, qui parle tres bien français et est tres disponible, joignable et arrangeante. Seul bemol le petit déjeuner, qui doit etre pris dans le café du quartier à l'extérieur. Le choix est limite car 1 croissant 1 café et un mini verre de jus de fruit industriel. C'est dommage.

Die Unterkunft liegt zentral . Vieles ist zu Fuß zu erreichen . Metrostation auch nur ca. 300Meter entfernt. Zimmer sauber. Zur Straße sehr laut. Frühstück im gegenüberliegenden Café sehr lecker und sympathisch. Man ist in wenigen Minuten im Centro Storico. Restaurants und Bars alles vor Ort. Wir wurden sehr freundlich in der Unterkunft empfangen.

We spent one week in La Smorfia. For us the location was excellent. Many places in walking dictance.
Lots of restaurants, cffeterias, shops nearby.
The hotel was nice. Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Big thank you to Antonella.

The elivator is really small and only two people can ride it at once and you have to insert a 50 cent coin every time. There was three of us so I walked the stairs many many times. I didn’t mind it but just something to take under consideration.
The breakfast in the nearby Caffeteria included a coffe, Juice and a croissant. It was fine for me. I did’t mind to have pictachio filled croissant for breakfast.
There was other options as well like English breafast and so but these you have to pay for.
Over all it was an amazing trip. If you want to get a real feel of Italian way of life then Napoli is the place
To be. Defenately will go again.

Utrolig kult og helt spesielt hotell! Fra du går inn døra i den gamle store treporten, via det dunkle gårdsrommet, opp marmortrappene (eller den skranglete heisen) og til du kommer inn i selve resepsjonen vet du ikke hva som venter. Derfra er det stilig, rent og velholdt - fra den stramme korridoren og inn på store lyse rom med fin dekor, en blanding av gammelt og nytt. Litt minimalistisk. Masse plass til klær. Vannkoker med te og kaffe, air condition og tv. Stor og god seng med ekstra teppe om nødvendig. Frans balkong med fine store dører med skodder. Eneste som trekker ned er harde hodeputer. Verten er hyggelig og serviceminded. Ligger i et livlig og støyete område men det er ganske stille og rolig inne på rommene.
