Serena was a brilliant host - friendly and extremely helpful. We had a slight problem with a noisy fridge but which she resolved quickly. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor in an old lovely, characterful property. There is a small lift which is useful for taking up luggage. The room was spacious and cleaned regularly by helpful staff. Breakfast is brought to your room from a bar downstairs and consists of a choice of hot drink, cold drink and a savoury or sweet snack. Location is safe and perfect for the old city and with a metro station about 7 minutes away

Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was not. Another guest locked the wrong door, locking us out when we arrived one evening. It was difficult to reach a staff member to help us. We ended up pushing the door several times and could eventually get in. Another guest helped us.

It was nice and clean but the walls were a bit scuffed and could use some paint. The air and fridge never really got cold. Cool, but not cool enough. You have to pay .50 euro each way to use the elevator and the breakfast at the place down the street was very limited on what you could get and in a very hectic spot. The beds were very soft so if you need a firm bed be aware. The luggage storage was nice and it’s very close to the museum.

Guest house with great location! When we checked in we were confused with another guest and found out after walking up 3 floors and had to walk back down to 2nd floor with luggage. I'm out of shape and in my 60's. The young lady escorting us skipped ahead to meet the other guests and we were left a little lost on the stairs and not sure where to go. Our granddaughter followed the girl down and had to carry her bag back up again when we finally figured out where to go. Because of travel delays we were accessed a 30 Euro late fee. Other than check in the only staff is person cleaning in the mornings. They were responsive to message requests via Expedia and helped us book tranfers to airport. The air conditioner did not work properly so room was a little cooler than outside but still uncomfortable. We let them know the problem and the housekeeper 'looked at it', but didn't fix it.The room was a 2nd floor walk up with a funky little elevator that costs .50 Euro. Amazing location but not the right fit for us.

Easy checkout friendly helpful staff that were on duty on arrival and then again in the morning. Would stay again Very good.

I loved the artsy atmosphere, and the archeological museum MANN has made great strides in the thirty years since I was there before. It i now one of the best in Italy and major-league in Europe. It is impossible to rate the certainly vibrant environs. However, because so much squalor and delapidation may prove weirdly charming to some (count me among them), to others (my wife included, who dislikes long travel to begin with and big cities) the same may be repulsive. The Dimora staff could provide a bit more iadvance information on what a first-time visitor can expect .beside clearly limited check-in times There IS a tiny elevator but one need a 50 Euro cent piece to make it work , Available at 8 a.m. breakfast is limited but good, outsourced to a notable chain café a few minutes walk away Right by the great museum, which opens at 9..

Having to pay 50 cents to use the lift to get to the second floor (lift then didn't work) was not a good start. Reception staff lacked basic customer service skills - we asked if we could check out and hour later and they just looked at each other and said \"No\" - didn't say sorry or give and explanation. Room was large, but very dated, especially the bathroom. Shower didn't drain well so you end up standing in dirty water. We only had one bath towel between 2 of us and reception seemed surprised by our request when we asked for another. Service was saved by the cleaner when on checkout was super friendly,smiley and helpful and organised a taxi for us. Area is quite run down although I guess it is in the old part of Napoli, however it is close to some of the main sights (which is why we chose it)

Fantastic location, a block from the archeological museum and close to all markets and restaurants. Great area for walking and shopping. Staff very nice and helpful and nice, quaint rooms. Very Italian feel.

Beds are not very comfortable and we were confused when we got there about where we were supposed to go to get in. Be sure to communicate your arrival time and then call when you arrive to be let in. It’s on floor 2.

We loved our stay and would definitely come again.

The check in time is 2pm, so we had to wait for the receptionist to come. We were a little surprised about the elevator and stairs, but that worked out fine. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was ideal with a lot of the sites in walking distance. Overall, enjoyed our stay in Naples.

Pro: 1. quiet place in vicinity of storico centro
2. Breakfast was at Leopoldo bar 1-200 meters away. It was very busy on Monday morning but fast service. Amount was typical for local as we saw most local people just grabbing a piece of sweet bread and coffee. But for most overseas travelers that was tiny for breakfast.
Con: 1. Very poor attitude of receptionist. She hung up my call twice while I still asked questions. That was very rude. We didn’t know how to open the front door. Then when we came in we didn’t know how to go upstairs with big luggage. When we later saw an antique elevator and didn’t know how to use it. She didn’t explain but hung up. She seemed annoyed that we didn’t know all these. Starting with a poor reception everything later turned unwelcome.
2. We need 1.5 euros coins to activate the antique elevator. What if we didn’t have some coins while receptionist didn’t want to help anything? How could we go upstairs? When we managed to go there she asked for passport while we were still busy with our 3 big luggage. My wife was so afraid as there was no smile from her, not even a welcoming gesture and help. At that point we would really like to cancel the room.
3. After checking in with passport she then explained about the room, the 3 keys, breakfast and so on. She was upset if I asked anything. She only wanted us to listen. At that point I just listened without speaking anything. And no more asking afterwards except for booking a taxi for next day. I opened t

Wir waren zu zweit dort. Alles aus unsere Sicht hat gepasst. Hotel war sauber, super gelegen. nah an der Innenstadt.nah an den s-Bahnen. Wenn man den Innenhof betritt Hört man von dem Stadtkern nichts mehr. Aus unserer Sicht wirklich zu empfehlen.

This was our first time to Naples and we were traveling with a 7 year old and a 2 year old. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. They even brought us a large selection of breakfast sweets from the cafe the day before our early flight since we’d miss breakfast.

The B&B is central located with lots to see and places to eat within walking distance.

Our room was fairly basic, but it was super quiet even though it faced a busy street.

The room was clean and the air conditioning worked wonderfully.

The downsides are a few but nothing that would ruin the stay. The front desk was mostly vacant during our stay, which I understand isn’t very necessary. However, if there was an emergency then it would have been nice to have someone there. At the same time, this isn’t a hotel, so I wasn’t expecting the same amenities.
Getting our luggage up the very small elevator was a big pain, but we only had to do it up and then down, so not too bad. Finally, there’s no convenient parking. Again, all of these are minor and I only mention them in case these would prohibit someone from staying (someone in a wheelchair, etc).

Overall, it was a great stay and a place I’d recommend to friends and family.

The property is extremely well located. The rooms are not that big but not very horribly small either - we had the standard double bed bedroom. It is good for a two day jaunt in Naples. The breakfast system is also good - you get vouchers you can avail at Leopoldo cafe nearby - which is a good option.

We had trouble with wifi - didn’t get any reception in the room.

Lady at the reception was helpful overall when we needed her.. but mostly didn’t really need to interact much

Breakfast was very disappointing. The hotel does not provide Breakfast. They outsource breakfast to a pastry shop down the street where you get one drink, e.g., coffee, tea, or juice, and choice of two pastry items. No yogurt, cereal, fruit, eggs, ham, cheese, breads or anything, just two pastry items. Very disappointing and this does measure up to other hotels we have stayed in Europe.

We spend 5 nights in this property with my husband and two kids aged almost 5 years and we cannot rate better than excellent.
Situated just few meters from metro station Museum that brings you to Garibaldi train station we used to go to trips (Ercolano (Vesuvio), Sorrento. And 20-25 min by walk to the port (boats going to Capri, Ischia,.).
Even if the street is not quiet (Naples is not quiet at all!), the windows isolated very well. The hotel was quiet inside too. Very nice stuff. Late check in was not a problem (but extra paid) and early check out neither. The airport taxi ordered by the hotel was waiting at the arranged time (4:30 am) and did cost 20 EUR Cleened everyday and we get also many presents - sweetness for kida and a bottle of wine for us (even if we didn't drink it - MANY THANKS!

Just very impersonal - receptionist only there from 2pm-8pm - have to take 3 keys out with you to get back into the building.
Nobody there in morning when you check out so you leave keys on the counter and god forbid you forget anything as no way of getting back in.
Breakfast is a voucher for a coffee and croissant at a cafe across the road!

This small bed and breakfast is in a nice location within the Old Town area. It is just a short walk from the archeological museum, the metro and many restaurants. It very secure with access off a locked inner courtyard. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are large and well furnished. Breakfast is cold but includes cereals and a nice variety of breads and pastries. Be aware that for check-in it may only be attended during their posted hours.

A lovely hotel

From booking through to departure everything was great, checking in was a breeze. Roberta was so helpful arranging transfers from the airport, recommending places to visit and good restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great with fresh home made cakes and pastries.
Naples is an interesting city and this hotel is in the historic centre. There's lots to see and do within walking distance and Roberta gave us helpful advice about things to see.
The entrance is hidden from the street and overlooks a courtyard. Although the street outside is busy and noisy the hotel is actually really quiet and peaceful.
If I go back to Naples I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! We arrived to our hotel quite early and our room wasn't quite ready, but they were happy to take care of our luggage and advised on what we could do until we can check in. They were always happy to help and answer any questions.

Breakfast was delicious and the room was always clean and tidy. I loved how this hotel was hidden away from the busy streets and that the building really helped drown out a lot of the noises from the traffic.

The location was also close to a small supermarket, a train station and also the Architecture museum. It was also close to the Botanical Gardens too (which is worth a visit).

I would definitely stay here again when I next visit Napels.

I had a wonderful two nights at Dimora. As a single woman traveler, safety In Naples was a concern, but the level of security at the property and location near Pza. Bellini, busy with locals and tourists all evening, made stepping out nearby for a bite at 10p comfortable. Good restaurants in the area, very convenient to highlights like Capella Sansevero and the Archeological Museum and Metro stops Dante and Museo. The bedding was comfortable, the room immaculate, but the best part was the warm welcome and gracious assistance of Roberta and Yolanda. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Incredible location minutes from 3 metro stations (Dante and Museo line 1; Cavour line 2), the archaeological museum, and the walking streets of Via Tribunali and Spaccanapoli. But what puts it over the top is the amazing generosity and friendliness of the staff. Would absolutely come back.

This is a very small hotel in the old center of Naples, The building is uniquely representative of the old-time architecture and floor arrangement, and gave a very interesting feel of the local historical tradition. Location is great for walking around the old city. The wiled and unrestrained nature of the Old Naples was overwhelming for our family of 5, but we felt 100% isolated from the noisy night life after entering to the inner yard through the giant wooden door that has an electric lock controlled from the reception.
Because the number of guests is in single digits, you get the complete and undivided attention from the stuff. For example, the breakfast room is tiny, and there was hardly any intersection between guests, so we felt as if the stuff was attending solely to us. Similarly, Roberta at the reception was always there to help with planning advice, or with booking a trip.
My only small complaint is about the size of the shower box. I am a thin person, but it was hard to turn around even for me. And you do need the shower a few times per day when vacationing in July - the heat was intense, and it's quite a workout to walk the narrow hilly streets.

We were so impressed with Roberta and her staff for their hospitality and care for our family. They help us with the check in since we arrived hours earlier, they offered us water, juices, snacks, as we waited. Don't let the surroundings intimidate you, although the building seems to be in a very centric area of town with a LOT of Traffic, the apartment, and the staff made us feel like we were in an Oasis in a very busy city. We loved the space and the apartment.

We spent four nights in the Dimora Della Arti and while we initially found it a bit difficult to find, as it was off a courtyard behind the typically italian large wooden gates, we were very impressed with the extremely friendly and very efficient staff. The hotel is very well situated only a few minutes walk from the busy streets with their cafes, bars, restaurants & shops. The breakfast of juices, cereals, pastries & coffee were also typically Italian but were much better than we had expected. If we return to Naples, we will stay there again. Bren & Lynn, Ireland

Roberta made our stay here special as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
The area around the hotel is vibrant with lots to do and see but not over run by too many tourists and for us felt like the ideal situation in the city. Although the roads can be busy the moment you step through the huge ancient doors it suddenly feels like a calm and quiet oasis away from the city. We found the rooms simple and eligant and all the staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a real find - right in the centre of things, with plenty of bars and restaurants and easy access to the metro, but set back around a courtyard so that it was lovely and quiet. The location is excellent. It is in walking distance of major museums and shopping areas. The breakfast presented had very good choices. There is great gelato and coffee on the corner.

The hotel is beautifully hidden in a courtyard off a busy street in Naples. The room and amenities exceeded our expectations and all of the staff were superb. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Naples, as it was a great base from which to enjoy the city.

We stayed here 'just' overnight, before flying out of Naples.We arrived late in the day and left very early in the morning (by taxi).
We were warmly welcomed. The room is giant (unfortunately, I only videoed the room - no photos), it has a LARGE closet two or three dressers/desk - it would be an easy place to stay for an extended time. (I don't think the closet had a lot of hangers)
The location near the Archaeology Museum (to the north) and Dante (to the south) was convenient.
The dressers proved lots of surface areas (a great aid in packing)

Lovely hotel in a perfect location.

Our warm welcome at Dimora Delle Arti after our long flight from Australia was so appreciated. Roberta and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We enjoy staying in small boutique hotels which are sensitive to the history, architecture and essence of their location. Dimora DA reflects all of this and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

The staff here was remarkable. Roberta provided a wonderful welcome for us and explained how to get around in the city, providing us with maps and directions and advise. Loradona made the most wonderful breakfast and cappuccino. Her and Yolanda helped me with taxi service to Pompea and the airport. This was well located in the heart of the city. We were walking distance from a very fun area for the 21 and 22 year old that we were traveling with as it was close to an art school and had a college vibe. Walking through that to some great shopping, then to the sea. It was so beautiful and the fish was great. Only a 20 minute walk if you didn't stop and look at stuff like we did. Love this room and love this city.

Great value. Great Hotel. Home Feel hotel.

Stayed on the hotel for 3 nights with family (2 adults , 2 kids) . Room was big and very very clean. Hotel WiFi was super-speed. Breakfast was good ,each day another newly cooked back was served to us. This hotel has a fantastic relationship and care to his guests, and this is why its so recommended. I guess you can find similar hotels with similar facilities, but you cannot \"buy\" great human relations and care and the fact that you really feel like you at home. Location is also fantastic and price was also very decent. So this place is highly recommended !

Everyone, from Roberta to the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant to deal with. We would stay here again in a minute! Perfect location.
The only negative is that we had them arrange for our pick up at the airport for $35 USD—about 2x what it cost to take a regular taxi.

We were able to walk from train station with our luggage, but I would not recommend it. GPS found the location easily. It is easy walking distance from water front and historical sites. Felt very safe in this area. I liked the extra security measures to sleep well. Nice restaurants within one to two blocks. The room was clean and ready. The extra bed made the space a little small but larger than other hotels we stayed in. I would consider staying here again

We booked a Deluxe Suite. When we book a suite we expect to have more than one room. There could be a sitting/living room or a connecting room (as it is also defined this way in wikipedia under 'suite'. But, this wasn't the case for the 'Deluxe Suite' (not just any suite) that is offered in this hotel. The hotel itself is very secured and very clean and the staff is very friendly and polite. But, we were disappointed to be in one big room with a double bed and 3 single beds, with a small bathroom where one can barely move and an adjacent mini room for storage and locker. We had expected a suite but we did not get that. We stayed in many other hotels throughout our trip and we booked suites and we got suites. We are 2 adults and 3 kids and this is important to us. I think they should change the name to a 'Double Room' with possibilities of adding 3 more beds. But, they should not advertise it as a 'Deluxe Suite'. We stayed only 2 nights. And our stay was pleasant, otherwise.

Hotel is set back from main street via a gate at night and is within the historic part of Naples, you enter a large courtyard and take a very old lift or climb the stairs, hotel is secure and quiet with staff very helpful, arranged early checkout and taxi to airport (18 euros) for 4 of us door to door, the Hotel area is close to the Dante tube station and has numerous bars and places to eat, mostly a student area but safe, a walk into the city centre is good, passing many shops and some restaurants either on the main road or just off on side streets. We (4 adults) had starters, pizza each, water, house wine came to less than 55 euros, great pizza.

Great area to stay in. Clean, comfortable. We left early for the airport so we didn't eat breakfast. Wifi was ok but not super strong. Markets and museums close by. Easy to find off the metro. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Well located and fine, great value for price

Really well located (near the famous Archeological Museum and all the great stuff on the old Decimani streets. Host was very helpful. We just booked for one night as we were flying out for the morning. For this it was great. Also nice old 19C building (with the corresponding ancient elevator!).

Let me say by Naples standards it was very decently priced (a price that would have scared me without such good reviews). You do get what you pay for (and then some). The room was small, fine for one night but not for a week. Breakfast was okay but not great. Maybe biggest problem is that helpful host is not on site much of the time. When we arrived we had to call (easier if you have an Italian sim).

So highly recommended as a fine place and great value. Just don't expect a hotel that is twice as expensive.

Nice small hotel near archaeological museum.

This is a small hotel very close to the archaeological museum, within walking distance of most sites in the historic center of Naples. Salvatore, who works the front desk, was extremely helpful. A good Italian breakfast is provided (more pastries than eggs and meat). The rooms are very quiet, no frills, and in good working order.

A hotel within walking distance to the old town

This establishment is just 2 minutes walk away from the National Archaeological Museum and Museo metro station. A hotel is hidden and very quiet. You will find there a big room with big bed, desk, TV, wardrobe, bathroom. A breakfast is served in the room next to the reception.
Last more thing: a hotel is on the second II floor when you take a very old fashion elevator.
Highly recommended.
