Lovely villa with beautiful views. The breakfast was lovely, the service was great, the pool is lovely, really big with enough sunloungers, and the grounds are lovely and well-kept. Really great stay. I would love to go back next Summer.

This place is only good if you have a car. Very inconvenient to public transport.
Lovely location overlooking lake but very basic facilities - not even a glass and definitely no jug for a cup of tea.
Front desk staff not friendly
Great breakfast that is for sure but note it doesn’t start until 8am!

What a perfect location to spend a few days by the lake Garda. First off: if you arrive by var, there is an entire gated area belonging to the hotel where you can park your car in the shade of olive tree (most hotels in this area only offer right spots which are difficult to get in and out). Our balcony overlooking the lake was breathtaking and waking up next morning to a rich breakfast buffet got us going for a day of exploring..... only to relax later on by the beautiful hotel pool. We highly recommend this hotel!

it was wonderful. beautiful views and the whole property over all is magical. i would say that the rooms are a bit small but pretty comfortable. the rooms that don’t have a view of the lake are pretty lame but there’s a big balcony with the sickest view. the cleaning lady wasn’t so nice and was rushing me to get out of my room in a rude way. breakfast was simple and nice, not so many options. the location was a little tricky. it’s kinda in a middle of nowhere especially coming with public transportation but no so far from the bus stop up the road. if you looking on going out at night you need to find a way to take a cab if you not with a car because the nearest town is not so much of a walking distance.

Nice relaxing break from hectic previous 8 weeks

It was a 6 day break from several weeks of travelling. Area was good with a 15 minute walk towards Malcesine to the lakeside and restaurant. View from the room was excellent with lake and mountain views. Free parking was a major benefit. A large swimming pool was available and the garden setting was excellent. The breakfast room had great lake views and the breakfast was fine. Local bus stopped outside the hotel and was a short ride into Malcesine. A walking option into town
around the lakeside in around 25 minutes. Malcesine had plenty of nice restaurants, boat trips and shops.

Great lake Garda, dissappointing hotel

The Villa has nice grounds, but the hotel room was very small and dingy. The bathroom was dark, small, old with the smallest shower cabin ever. The hotel is on a very busy road, without sidewalks and about 30 min walk to the centre of the village.

Small hotel with amazing views

We stayed in one of their family rooms with a terrace. What a beautiful view over Lake Garda! Incredible! That made up for the somewhat utilitarian room with not the most comfortable of beds (we still slept well, as we were tired from our day's adventures), and the small bathroom. They have a very nice swimming pool and another plus was that there was easily accessible and ample parking (which is not a given in Malcesine). Given the opportunity, we'd love to come back!

Great quiet spot.

Really enjoyed our stay in Malcinese. Little bit of a walk into town so may be best using your car to get in if this isn't up your street (maybe half an hour or so along a stretch of road and then lake). The hotel was nice, staff were friendly and we enjoyed the pool. Area seemed fairly quiet compared to parts we drove through to get here, so enjoyed that. our room had a great balcony view, which appears on all of the local postcards

Cannot Rate this highly enough - if you are looking for hustle & bustle and being in the centre of things or maybe with young kids - this might not be the place for you. However if you are looking for calm, peaceful in a small village with views to die for (which is exactly what I wanted) then Hotel Villa Orrizzonte is perfection. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful grounds , then the hotel itself is cool, inviting and beautifully maintained. When we opened the curtains onto our terrace WOW.
The hotel itself only does breakfast but what a great breakfast, the lake is a 5 minute walk away with a water sports centre, everything you need is right there and buses will take you further to Malcesine. This is now one of my favourite places and I will definitely be back.

Room With A View

We booked a room with lake view but were not expecting the incredible view of the lake we actually got. On entering our room we walked straight out on to our own terrace and both said ‘WOW’. The room was spotless, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very small and we tended to bang elbows and knees trying to wash. Fortunately there is a local tourist bus into Malcesine itself as it is way too far to walk, this is reasonably priced at only €1.20. The drawback to this hotel is the number of steps around the property and a very steep slope at the entrance from the road. However if you are fit and healthy and like walking it would not be a problem but certainly not suitable for someone who is disabled.

The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning

Stunning view from our balcony. Breakfast was plentiful. Pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Slightly sketchy walk from the hotel to the nearest bus stop. Taxi to malcesine is 10 -12 euros. Pool was lovely. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

I hate the insects

My check in was fine. I am not just happy with the insects inside the room and even in my bed. Also, the aircondition is not functioning as desired. Its not as cool as i want it to be. What i love is its view of Garda Lake. It was amazing.

I wont recommend it for my friends because of the insects. I think there are other hotels with a better and more comfy rooms. But if theyre on a budget, then this hotel is fine.

Our room was very small. Tiny bathroom & shower was too small to bend down in! We found the bed to be very uncomfortable (hard) We were only staying one night, thankfully.

On the plus side, the location was great - out of town with magnificent views over the lake. Less than 10 minutes on tourist bus (€1.20). A 5 minutes walk to the lake & a fabulous restaurant (Dolciaque)

Breakfast was great - in a dining room with spectacular views.

Lovely hotel in every way. Only issue is that it is not where google maps says it is. It is NOT right in the centre next to tourist info, but in fact 2-3km out of ton down the main road. Hourly tourist bus is ok, or a 45minute walk back along the lake. Hotel itself is lovely; great staff, room,, breakfast, and a lovely gift (calendar) on departure

The hotel was quiet, pretty efficient, reasonably roomy rooms and a good breakfast. Plenty of room to park, which can be difficult in these parts, and it has a lovely garden. All in all good value for money and it delivers.

Rigtig dejligt og roligt hotel

Dejligt stille og roligt hotel i meget smukke omgivelser. Nemt at komme til at bade i Gardasøen og et dejligt poolområde med oliventræer og fred og ro. Skøn morgenmad og sød betjening. Værelserne ikke store, men det var en del af charmen.

Hotel with a view!

Charmigt hotell med bästa utsikten. Hotellet är beläget nära stranden, men en bit upp i bergen. Trevlig personal och bra service. Hotellet erbjuder frukost, men har tyvärr ingen restaurang. Det ligger dock två restauranger precis nedanför på stranden. Hotellet har en egen pool som verkligen tillför något extra.

Området är lugnt, men erbjuder många former av vattensporter.

Nettes Personal, sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück, gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Hotel, Ausstattung auf den Zimmern etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Blick vom Hotelzimmer und Frühstücksbereich auf den See fantastisch. Pool sehr gepflegt und ruhig. Weg nach Malcesine zu Fuß recht beschwerlich, sodass wir immer mit dem Auto gefahren sind.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, auf einem parkähnlichen Grundstück. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, für einen Kurzaufenthalt aber ausreichend. Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig. Leider funktionierte die vorhandene Klimaanlage nicht.

Godt hotel med nogen afstand til byen

Det er et 2 stjernet hotel, med nogen gåafstand til byen. Det er bus neden for hotellet som kører ind til byen hvis man ikke magter at gå de ca. 2 km.
Rent og pænt værelse og super god morgenmad med fantastisk udsigt fra morgenmadsrestauranten.
Super udsigt fra balkon over hele Gardasøen.

Kleines und charmantes Hotel mit wundervollem Blick auf den Gardasee in einer großzügigen Anlage direkt am Bergmassiv des Monte Baldo, nur 5 Gehminuten zum Ufer des Gardasee. Wer nach Malcesine Centro möchte, kann das Auto beruhigt stehen lassen, der Tourist-Bus hält direkt vor der Zufahrt zum Hotel und fährt jede volle Stunde. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

1x Gardasee, immer wieder gern..

Ein sehr freundlicher und vorbereiteter Empfang der Tochter des Hauses (Johanna), welche für Rezeption und Bar gleichermaßen zuständig ist. Das wenige Personal im Hause erledigt sofort !! alle geäußerten Wünsche der Gäste. Da alle vom Personal alles machen, ist das ein super Zusammenspiel und funktioniert !! :-)

WiFi im ganzen Haus und am Pool !!!

Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse lecker, frisch und mehr als ausreichend. Ab und zu eine andere Sorte Wurst oder Fisch wären nett; ansonsten wirklich alles da, was den Tag gut beginnen lässt.

Das Eckzimmer No. 10 reicht für 2 Personen + Hund. Leider ist im Bad der zu kleine Spiegel nicht beleuchtet, auch Haken für Handtücher und Ablagemöglichkeiten für Gesicht und Körperpflege fehlen. Hier musst du aus dem Beauty-Case leben.. so what

Farbe am Balkongeländer und die kleinen Stolperfallen am dortigen Boden sollten einfach mal ausgebessert werden; wie gesagt, nur No. 10; ansonsten immer guter Blick auf den See !!

Ansonsten: tolle zentrale Lage als Ausgangspunkt, direkter Blick auf den See, super gepflegter Garten, klasse Pool mit ausreichend Liegen, Dusche & WC-Anlage, maximale Parkmöglichkeiten, Hund gern gesehen und \"betüddelt\" wenn dieser weiß, was sich gehört :-)

Insgesamt sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für die vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um den Gardasee und auch für die zahllosen guten Restaurants links und rechts

Roadtrip Italien 2018

Låg vid närheten av vattnet, ca 150 m promenad. Vacker vik i lugnet av Marcesine. Fantastisk vacker strandpromenad in till centrum som tog ca 15-20 min i lugnt tempo. Hotellet hade AC på rummet, fräsch pool och lätt till parkering som underlätta vår roadtrip. Stabil italiensk frukost. Vi trivdes väl. Hade en balkong ut över sjön som var magisk kvällstid. Tyst dessutom.
