This hotel was in walking distance to the town as well as visiting local attractions. If you wanted a change of scenary, you could walk to the harbour and take a ferry across to the nearest town. The hotel is situated near a beach however if that doesn't suit you, they also have a pool. Cocktail hour is between 3pm to 6pm - recommend having after visiting the local shops 😄

A little outta the way, right where it needs to be

This hotel is slightly out of town, but an easy walk down the lake to town and the location is worth it so you can wake up and step right out to the lake. The rooms and bathroom are simple but sufficient, with quirky colors. Nice breakfast at the connected restaurant. Heads up—the parking lot is at street level, and then you go down to the hotel.

We stayed four days in this fantastic hotel. The service from the staff and owner was outstanding. The view from the balcony was really nice and we enjoyed our evenings there. The original design of the hotel made it an interesting experience. It's far from a standard layout and design, something we found refreshing and fun. We can highly recommend a stay here!

Our New Favorite in Lake Garda

What a wonderful hotel! We’ve been to Lake Garda many times as a family and have stayed in many different hotels in Malcesine, Torbole and Riva, Ambienthotel Primaluna is by far our favorite. Very modern and clean, as well as comfortable, it’s at the best location to walk to historic Malcesine, and many top notch restaurants. Opening the back door and jump in the lake whenever one feels like—it doesn’t get better. This hotel has hands down the best breakfast of any hotel we’ve stayed in Italy. And we’ve been to a lot. My kids also got big comfortable beds as well. They loved it.

Staff is friendly. We were provided with a coupon voucher that discounted entry fees to the water park, the lift and castle. Also, ten percent discount to the hotel's restaurant.

Access to the beach and walking path was great from the first floor room.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so friendly, the restaurant was delicious, amazing views of the lake and the location was perfect (a short 10 minute walk into the town). The room was comfortable and nice enough (but the rest of the hotel was the highlight).

Fab Customer Centric Garda Hotel

The Primaluna has been based on what the customer would want from a hotel. The sit-down check-in, vouchers for a free drink at the bar later, being shown around the hotel initially for orientation was a great start. The hotel itself based just outside of Maclesine town about 7mins walk, was of modern design and very comfortable. Pool, gym, next to Lake Garda and close to town. The breakfasts were probably one of the best in any hotel I've stayed in. Quality food, an egg station, fresh juices, fruit, cereal, meat, cakes etc. etc. We had dinner one night and if had more time would return - great steak and service.

Would certainly return for a longer stay if possible next time. The garden room was a great base looking out over the lake.

Primaluna - unique of its kind

Very unusual hotel. Enough comfortable room, but peculiar, with no bathroom door, red or black walls, strange wardrobe and a lot of buttons with unknown functions ! It was far from the center and bus station, but right to the lake, with a nice view. I think is fine in the Summer, right on the beach! We loved the breakfast ,the glass fireplace and the restaurant terrace. The pool also locked fine, but the rain and the cold, don't !

Tough to beat! Perfect stay!

We stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon in Italy- it was wonderful. The hotel seemed to have the best views on the whole lake and it was within a perfect distance lovely walk along the water to the adorable downtown area of Malescine and to the cable line up Mount Baldo. Dinner at the restaurant at the hotel was delicious and it was amazing to sit on the deck with the sunset and the stars over the lake while you dined on dinner or breakfast or at the lovely bar. And, the owners and staff were as sweet as could be. The quirky style of the hotel was so cool as well!

Quirky hotel right next to the lake shores

Excellent food in the restaurant, we got 20% off the first meal and then 10% of the other evening meals. We are both vegetarian and the selections on the menu were excellent - a page and a half of choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel in perfect position

We stayed at the Ambienthotel Primaluna for a wedding in Malcesine and we could not have found anywhere better positioned or in such great quality for anywhere near the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, spoke a variety of languages, and made us feel welcome. The quality of the food was second to none and the only disappointment was that we could not stay longer or try the dinner menu. The hotel is placed a short distance from Malcesine centre, but enough that we did not have to put up with any noise and could still enjoy a short walk along the beach at the end of the night. We have nothing bad to say about this hotel, and are looking forward to staying there again in the future.

Great Lakeside Hotel

The staff could not have been more helpful. They provided an exceptional service when we had to change the booking details. We cannot tell you what they did because we don't want to create a precedent for them but in our opinion it would have been unlikely that many other hotels of whatever standard would have been as flexible and accommodating. The hotel itself is of modern construction and set into the hillside. The interior is minimalist with walls which are rendered (concrete?) and then painted. This means that the interior is dark. In the furnishing and decor the hotel has an quasi industrial feel - or perhaps like a modern art gallery as such it is not for those who want the style of the Ritz. This is not any criticism it is a style choice and, in our opinion, properly suited to the hotel. We did not use all the facilities but the pool was in a great position and the gym looked well equipped. Similarly we only had breakfast but what we did have was typical continental buffet service but of good quality. The location is outstanding because it is set in the hill the lower floors including the dining room and bar are a few metres above and from the lake giving outstanding uninterrupted views. Parking is on site.

We had a wonderful time in lake garda, topped off by a 6 night stay in this lovely hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. breakfast was amazing with a huge choice and the room was comfy and had everything you need. we stayed in the basic room with no view but as the hotel is on the lake this didn't matter. the dinning and reception areas have a spectacular view. The hotel Is in the perfect location for exploring the city and the whole of the lake. Its about 15mins walk to the centre of the malcesine and less than that for lovely restaurants and cafes.

Very modern hotel

Ambient hotel Primaluna is a very modern hotel with an Eco twist. Rooms were very nice and it's very close to the castle. Staff were friendly and the pool/hot tub were great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fabulous for families- such friendly staff

we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights for my firends wedding. From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and very helpful which carried on through out our stay. Although we didn't have a lake view, the room was lovely, very clean and lots of space. I can't think of anything to fault this hotel. Its not in the main town area but is only a 5 min walk along the beautiful lake. I would certainly stay there again as i am going for another wedding next year then this will probably be my choice for the hotel again.

Overall, the hotel was disappointment.

Our original room overlooked the courtyard, next to the gateway. All the noise at night was carried from that terrace just outside. The room security was also a bit suspicious.
The hotel staff kindly agreed to change our room when we complained about the noise of the night.
The rooms had a very special toilet. From the bed, one could watch the other sitting on the toilet. The shower also had a completely open view of the rest of the room.
Breakfast was quite moderate. It contained fresh berries and fruits. Coffee was a disappointment.
The behavior of the hotel staff was a bit unusual; one employee always seemed to talk to us like we were children. In the hotel restaurant, we were poured in without asking for more wine, which was promised free, but unexpectedly I was billed. In addition, the -10% discount promised to hotel guests was forgotten to give us. We noted this, but according to the owner, we will not be able to edit your credit card bill later, which is bullshit. We were cheated. Overall, the hotel was disappointment.

Hotell med toppläge

Helt ok hotell med fantastiskt läge. Det positiva med hotellet är att det ligger precis vid stranden. Man får låna solstolar kostnadsfritt och det finns en Beachrestaurang. Hotellfrukosten är utan tvekan den bästa i Italien, så fräscht och mycket att välja mellan, inte bara sötsaker som vanligtvis serveras på italienska hotell. Hotellrestaurangen hade otroligt god mat och fin service med bästa utsikten i malcecine!

Till det negativa: märklig inredning där man valt färger som gör hotellet och rummen mycket mörka, därtill dålig belysning i rummen. Oerhört fuktigt inne på rummen vilket leder till att det luktar lite unket i rummet. Litet badrum men utöver det är rummen helt ok.

Sammanfattningsvis: Kommer definitivt boka om detta hotell igen med hänsyn till läget, bekvämligheterna och hotellrestaurangen.

Fantastisk beliggenhed og venligt personale. Dejlig morgenbuffet og mad i restaurant/bistro. Gå-afstand til Malcesine bymidte. Fine bademuligheder i sø og pool. Meget futuristisk hotel. Ikke så hyggeligt, hvis det er hvad man ønsker. Speciel arkitektur. Det ser ud som om hotellet ikke er færdigbygget. Havde suite med alle de faciliteter vi havde brug for og masser af plads. Værelset kunne adskilles med skydedør, hvilket er fint når man rejser med teenagere/børn. Vi havde brug for hjælp første nat pga problemer med \"løbende\" toilet. Kunne ikke få fat i hjælp. Ingen kontakt via telefon eller i receptionen. Ikke i orden på så dyrt et hotel. Ellers i øvrigt et rigtig fint ophold.

Fantastiskt läge med underbar utsikt. Ta balkong det är bättre utsikt än terrass. Småstenbotten vid strand ta med strandskor. Bra frukost, lite sega på fylla på när något var slut dock. Mindre trevlig personal i beach bistron som tillhör hotell, den undvek vi. Bra pool med härlig utsikt och lugn atmosfär. Bra städ och trevlig personal i receptionen. Parkering kan bli trång men fanns alltid en plats kvar när vi kom. Annorlunda inrett hotell som var snyggt. Nära stan och linbana. Bra strandpromenad in till stan.

Die Lage direkt am See ist wunderschön. Bis zur Altstadt sind es an der Uferpromenade ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das ist Hotel ist in einem alten Industriestil designt.wir fanden es chic. Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet war die beste unserer gesamten Italienrundreise und der Ausblick beim Frühstück auf den See perfekt. Auch das Personal war sehr engagiert. Nur der hoteleigene Fön ist eher für Gäste mit weniger Haarpracht geeignet ;-)

Hübsches, stylishes Hotel direkt am See mit sehr gutem Restaurant. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet, hübscher Pool und angenehm warmer Whirlpool mit Blick zum See. Wir bekamen in der Nachsaison sogar ein Upgrade des Zimmers. Vielen Dank noch mal!
Auch die Lage ist ideal, direkt an der Seepromenade, sodass man gut zu Fuß ins Zentrum laufen kann.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem außergewöhnlichen Hotel. Es wird aber sicher nicht das letzte mal sein!! Von dem sehr freundliche Empfang bis zum auschecken alles Perfect. Der Stil des Hotels ist sehr speziell und macht es zu ein Ausnahme in die langweilige Hotel Welt :-)
Das Frühstücks Buffet ist ein Traum mit einer sehr großen Auswahl und bis zum letzen Minute gut gefüllt. Die Lage direct am See ist Perfect. Von unserem Garten waren es genau 30 Meter, besser geht nicht. Unser Garten Zimmer könnte nicht besser sein. Auch das Restaurant können wir nur empfehlen. Das Essen in die Ambiente ist ein sehr angenehmer Erfahrung.
Wir werden sicher zurück kommen !!

Tolles Hotel. Ambiente sehr spannend, da gewollt unfertig aber sauber und gepflegt. Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Abendessen im Restaurant mindestens genauso gut, á la carte oder die täglich neue Tageskarte. Jedes mal ein Prosecco vorneweg. Ein Schmaus. Personal sehr engagiert, freundlich und zuvorkommend.
