The owners were wonderful they shuttle you to and from property to town so u will have to wait if more people need to be picked up or brought to town so they don’t have to take extra trips was not a problem for us although they stop at 6pm but they do give you bus tickets we took a taxi and it was expensive. Be prepared for a lot of stairs to property it was raining so is was kinda a pain with the rain. The rooms were modern quiet and clean we stayed one night. The pool was not open since it rained. This is a b&b we did not know that when we booked. The owners are what makes this place they are very accommodating and very nice.

What a gorgeous property! Owners were very accommodating and helpful, and gave us names of great restaurants, a couple with shuttle service. Our room was 200 stairs down next to the breakfast area. We could hear some breakfast noise in the morning. The view was spectacular. Walking to town involved a lot of stairs. The city bus is easy access right at the front of the property. Be mindful of what it looks like when you bus back, as they don't announce the same name you are expecting. Bus was a convenient way to get to the water/ferries/heart of Amalfi. I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the extra steps. We thought it was worth it!

The view was beautiful and we loved having our cappuccino on the terrace every morning where Gerald and his team were eager to make us eggs if we wanted them, and just did all they could to make us feel comfortable and welcome. If you book your stay at Villa Orleans, be ready to meet some of the nicest people you may ever come across. Gerardo, his wife, the staff, and their wonderful family-run hotel made our stay truly unforgettable. Gerardo was super helpful and kind, even offering to pick us up from the arrival point and later driving us to the Amalfi port on our way back. While we were still there, we were already planning our next trip to Italy, knowing we would stay only in Amalfi and definitely only at Villa Orleans.

The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very chic in style. I highly recommend this hotel. You will find genuine warmth from the people, spectacular views, an amazing breakfast, and a true taste of Amalfi. I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

Gerardo and Orleans made our trip to Amalfi very memorable. They’re great hosts, breakfast was amazing and the pool is a great place to relax after a day of exploring! Easy to walk into Amalfi which takes around 25 minutes, but there’s also a bus stop up some stairs from the property.

Only tip is if you don’t want to catch the bus into Amalfi, hire a bike. It’s a short walk down to Amalfi but there are many steps. Walking back isn’t so easy. Unless you can easily hike a mountain!

Seaview hillside small hotel in Amalfi

Pros
- family run small hotel with gorgeous views of Amalfi coast (especially from the breakfast room)
- knowledgeable & personable host who collected & dropped us to port on arrival & departure
- very good breakfast with made to order eggs, fruits, yoghurts & a cold plate with veggies, Italian cheeses & meats
- spacious bedroom with blackout blind, great air con & a large balcony with loungers & a sea view
- Medium size bathroom with great multihead shower & toiletries (shampoo & shower gel)

Cons
- Far out location which felt a bit cut off i.e. no shops or anything around except other houses but there is a direct hourly bus (€1.50 Sita sud tickets available readily from hotel) approx 5 mins walk away which goes into Amalfi port where you can connect to other bus routes or take ferries. A lot of steps so not suitable if you have mobility issues.
- Large bed but poor quality mattress with a bed that creaks everytime you move in it
- Towels weren't changed in 3 nights we stayed
- No bedside lamps to read at night
- Poor external sound insulation so if you’re a light sleeper ask for room further away (we were next to breakfast room & bins so noise at night & from before 7am for prep)

The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. The property is clean and has a great view and pool area. The walk from the street to the rooms are about 200 steps so not recommended for elderly but it was a great workout for my boyfriend and I! We enjoyed the exercise. The hosts have bus tickets available at the hotel so that you can go to and from the town with ease. They cook breakfast fresh in the morning and the rooms are very clean. They even gifted us some limoncello that they make themselves to bring home to Canada….it was delicious! 10/10 recommend….:)

Geraldo & Orleans are the most gracious hosts, there are not enough kind words we can to use to describe how we felt from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. Every morning Geraldo was at the kitchen making us fresh breakfast and coffee to our liking, putting together plates of local meats, fruits and vegetables, we felt as if we were at our family vacation home. They went above and beyond by helping us sort out daily plans and arrangements to make the best of our stay.
The location is perfect, a 20 minute walk from Amalfi harbour, and a few great restaurants located close by as well. The rooms are impeccable; the infinity pool is one of the best we have ever experienced, with a beautiful view of the Amalfi coast. Each room has a private balcony and there is also a larger balcony for guests to share, all of which are overlooking the coast. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

Quiet property in the hills above town of Amalfi. Gerado and his staff were a pleasure. He was so well informed about the area and took such pride in his property. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The views were breathtaking.
You should be warned that it is about 150 steps to the property. The staff was excellent about bringing our luggage down and back up at the end of our stay. However, if you have mobility issues, this is not the right place for you. The bus is located right outside the top of the property and ia very easy to acccess the town of Amalfi. You cab also, take the stairs down and path right into town. Overall, i would reccommend a stay here if you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place out of the town. I would stay here again 100%

This is a lovely hotel with amazing staff - Gerardo, his wife and the other lovely ladies we met were so helpful. Breakfast was amazing, with a great selection.
There is a bus that goes regularly to Amalfi town which was very much needed in the heat! As others have mentioned, there are a lot of steps getting from the road to the hotel but at arrival and departure, there is help with luggage which we were grateful for.
All in all, we had a great stay!

Before we arrived the hosts reached out to ensure they were waiting us to arrive to assist us with our luggage and allowed us to check in early. The host Gerado gave us lots of information and provided us with bus tickets so we could get around Amalfi easily. The room was extremely clean. A Slice of Heaven on the Amalfi Coast!

Villa Orleans was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by Gerardo and Jessapina - truly the best hosts we could have asked for.
Their warmth, hospitality, and local recommendations made our stay extra special (and delicious!).

The location is fantastic - tucked just outside the hustle of central Amalfi, but still totally walkable into town. And if your legs need a break (after all the gelato and limoncello), the bus access is super easy and reliable and drops you off.

The villa itself was stunning - clean, comfortable, and with jaw-dropping views that made our morning coffee feel like something out of a movie. The grounds were immaculately kept, including beautiful gardens to enjoy while hanging out pool side.

We will 1000% be back. If you're lucky enough to snag a spot at Villa Orleans, take it- you won’t regret it!

A must stay in Amalfi !
Gerardo and the team at the villa left a lasting impression - the highlight of our trip in Italy. The villa was beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic - made to order eggs, fresh deli meat and delicious cappuccinos.

Gerardo went over and beyond for our stay, including driving us to the port or finding a driver last minute for our wedding ceremony when our driver cancelled. We can’t thank them enough. If we return to Amalfi, we know exactly where we are staying.

This property was so gorgeous but more impressive were the owners Mr Gerardo and his wife. They made our first stay in Amalfi so much more pleasant by helping us from the very first days of arrival until departure! Gerardo picked us up and dropped us off. Than helped us carry our luggage up numerous steps . ( the overpriced taxi’s cost $50 one way. They also made us a first class breakfast everyday. I have never experienced such hospitality from a hotel. They are definitely the hostess with the mostest ! The reviews were on point and that’s why I chose them. We had a lovely stay at Villa Orleans. We were coming from Naples and our ferry was cancelled so Gerardo and his wife suggested an alterate train and bus route, helping us via WhatsApp. Gerardo even kindly picked us up from the Amalfi bus station, even though our bus was running late. Villa Orleans is a little ways up from the centre of Amalfi, providing a lovely view of the coast. There is a walking route down and you can take the bus back up (Villa Orleans can help with the bus tickets as these can be tricky to get in Amalfi). The breakfast was delicious every morning- fresh juice, coffee, eggs, pastries etc. The owners were very helpful with travel tips and Gerardo even droped us to our shuttle bus pick up point on our last day. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Amalfi.

Wow! We chose Villa Orleans based on the reviews and it did not disappoint!
Gerardo was fantastic from start to finish. Met us at the ferry port so we didn’t have to struggle with our cases up the hill. Provided reasonably priced bus tickets and clear instructions on how to get around. Always had suggestions for things to do, with leaflets on the attractions plus bus and ferry timetables on hand to help make the most of our stay. Went above and beyond any expectations, even bringing a special sweet bun for our daughter every morning.
The breakfast was great with an awesome sea view and wide range of food prepared by Gerardo and Guiseppe.
The villa itself is a little way out of town so it’s a walk down the hill and bus journey back. This is definitely part of its charm though as it’s away from all the hustle and bustle of central Amalfi. You also get to see a lot more of the residential areas on the walk into town.
Situated half way up the mountain side, the property is stunning, has lot’s of secluded areas so you would never struggle to find a quiet spot for a bit of sunbathing or evening drinks.
The room was very modern, nice shutters and shower. Our only minor suggestions would be to add a few towel hooks, some drawers and a lamp for some low level lighting.
Villa Orleans is an exceptional place, you just cannot get enough of the sea view, so relaxing. We will most certainly be back.

Our stay was fantastic. Geraldo and the staff at villa Orleans are incredible and kind. We drove to Villa Orleans and Geraldo was waiting on the side of the main road to great us. He showed us where everything was and the best ways to get around. We arrived later in the evening and he offered to take me to the nearby grocery store to get some food. The property is beautiful and diverse. We spent a day in Amalfi and a day just relaxing at the villa. Even with the rain we had it was still comfy and enjoyable stay.

Paradise in Amalfi

Gerardo and staff went above and beyond to make our stay in Amalfi magnificent! They met us down the stairs once we arrived and helped carry all our baggage up (he made it look way too easy as my husband and I were huffing and puffing along the way!). The room was absolutely magnificent, the shower was heaven and we had our own private patio/balcony (I believe all the rooms have this).

Gerardo gave us a couple different rides into town (once to catch a boat to Postano and the other to catch the bus to the airport). It was so appreciated! He also arranged for a scooter drop off at the Villas which was so easy! Although riding a scooter is not for the faint of heart in Amalfi!

It’s also situated right in front of the bus stop that takes you into town (beware, if the bus is full it will not stop, so don’t rely on it if you have a certain time you need to be in town)

You can also walk into town, although you do have to scale hundreds of stairs to get to the main road to walk. Takes about 25-30 minutes or so.

Definitely do your research regarding transportation as cabs are outrageously expensive!

They also made you fresh breakfast every morning! They were the kindest people and truly do anything you need/ask for! I highly recommend this place to anyone who travels to Amalfi!

Gerardo, we can’t thank you enough for making our honeymoon as special as it could be! We will absolutely be back!

Home away from home. In the most amazing place.

Just finished 7 days at Villa Orleans, and it's simply magic.

We opted for a taxi from the airport in Naples directly to the hotel - all set up in advance by the lovely owners of the Villa. When we arrived, Gerardo was waiting to lead us to the Villa. After a quick tour of the amazing grounds, it was clear that this is much more than a beautiful location. Hospitality is unlike what you'll see at any hotel in the region, and many steps above most B&B's as well. Gerardo sets out to help you feel at home, while exploring the sights of the Amalfi coast.

The Villa itself is nestled high up above Amalfi town, with an enchanting view of the Tyrrhenian sea and coastline (including some of the best sunrises you'll ever see). All of the rooms have the same great view of the sea, with modern comforts that are perfect for the stay (large bed and rainfall shower included!).

Worried about being too far away? Don't be. The location is perfect. Getting into town is an easy 20 min walk down a few walkways, and getting back is a quick bus ride to a stop immediately above the Villa. The peacefulness of the Villa is worth the walk. Wake up to sunrise and roosters on the patio, have breakfast, then spend the day exploring. Return after dinner and have wine on the patio.

When the time arrives to continue exploring the Amalfi coast, we will stay at Villa Orleans again.

I RAN to this review. This was the most stunning property I’ve ever stayed at. Gerardo and his wife are the most incredible hosts. I will forever remember Amalfi with their hospitality. This place was day 4 and 5 of our 2 week Italy vacation, and if the trip was cancelled after this stay, I would still think the trip was worth it. The most incredible views, stunning rooms, delicious breakfasts, fabulous cappuccinos, and luxurious amenities. This was just a small part of our honeymoon, but it is forever a highlight of my traveling journey (I know I speak for our husband as well!) RUN, don’t walk to this booking! You will never regret it

Let me just say I am not one to write detailed reviews but this was such an amazing experience.

Gerardo and the crew were super friendly and helpful and truly made our honeymoon a once in life time experience. He even drove us to catch the ferry one day.

The villa is gorgeous with amazing views at every stop and does have an awesome infinity pool with ocean views. There was a beautiful breakfast buffet with made to order eggs every morning.

The rooms are spacious and have their own semi-private balconies.

The villa itself is about a mile from center of Amalfi. It is a pretty easy walk downhill to the center. There are buses that take you to and from the top of the villa as well if you prefer.

Gerardo and his team could not have been more accommodating during our stay at Villa Orleans.
He collected us from the port and transported us to the villa.
Everything was then explained to us, how to get into town and bus tickets provided as they are difficult to purchase.
The walk into town was about 25 minutes downhill. We would then get the bus back up. Amalfi town was absolutely beautiful with amazing shops and restaurants.
The breakfast in the morning was truly delicious with everything being freshly prepared for you.
The villa has only 5 rooms so very quiet and peaceful.
We would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be back in the future!

There are not enough positive things to say about Gerardo, and the staff of Villa Orleans. To say they go above and beyond for their visitors is an absolute understatement. They are there for you no matter what question you have, they are locals of the area and help you get around with no issue - they also have bus passes that you can purchase from them to make life easier. Bus stop is just at the top of the Villa and takes you to the main Amalfi Piazza in 15 minutes. The walk is not too bad if you are in decent shape as it is around 25 minutes but it is a very nice scenic route. Again Gerardo and the staff were amazing the personalized breakfast every morning and coffee on the terrace was incredible, Gerardo even offered to drive us into town when he was heading that way one day. Lovely people amazing place and highly highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Wow! Thank you so much for a lovely honeymoon. Gerado and Villa orleans were amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was amazing and the views are just incredible. Each room has a large balcony with cushioned table and chairs and private sun loungers, all with a gorgeous view. Lovely secluded spot with only 5 rooms in total, making it feel very special and amongst locals with gorgeous surrounding local gardens and agriculture.

The bus stop is right infront of the hotel and only €1.50 into Amalfi in just over ten minutes. A gorgeous walk down to the centre in half an hour with stunning views. If you want to stay in Amalfi steps are unavoidable wherever you stay, so Villa Orleans was the perfect choice and a huge plus was it having a pool unlike other accommodation. The infinity pool was also much bigger in real life than the photos which was a pleasant suprise.

Gerardo and Orleans were both very responsive and help throughout my stay, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time… from helping to arrange transportation to booking reservations and even providing prepaid bus tickets (which are evidently not easy to find where to buy). They even let me use an extra plug converter when I realized I forgot mine. The room was clean and modern. The property itself is beautiful and all rooms have a spacious balcony and amazing views of the mountains and sea. It’s a bit of a walk to the main square of Amalfi but for those who dont want to walk there are frequent buses that pass by. The breakfast was very good and in particular the made to order omelettes were great. Thank you to Orleans and Gerardo for being great hosts! It was a very special stay!

This hotel is beautiful and peaceful! I love the ocean views and how modern and luxe the property was. My room was very clean and beautiful with my own private terrace. The pool had gorgeous views of the ocean. Geraldo and his wife were extremely friendly. They gave me advice so I could walk or use the bus service to get to the center of the town. We had a wonderful stay at Villa Orleans. Geraldo, his wife, and other staff were extremely hospitable and some of the nicest people you will meet. Service was exceptional—from filling breakfasts and help with dinner reservations to even a few rides. There are a LOT of steps, so be prepared to walk. But the views and peace and quiet are worth it. Highly recommend—book it. You won’t be disappointed! Walking down the steps/path to get to Amalfi takes 20-30 minutes. Take the bus back up! The bus and ferry are super handy—we took ferries to Positano and Capri. You can walk to Atrani and don’t miss a bus ride up to Ravello.

Hay que caminar, bajar escaleras para llegar al puerto (centro Amalfi) por 20 - 30 minutos por un sendero con vista al oceano y montañas, precioso, y de regreso subes en autobus. Such an amazing place! I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Gerardo was extremely helpful and kind. He picked me up from the ferry and made sure I felt comfortable getting to town and getting back to the property. The views from the villa are incredible. It’s very peaceful and a nice change of pace from the busy town center. It’s easy to walk down from the property and take the bus back. I would recommend this villa to anyone I know coming to Amalfi. If I come back I will definitely be staying here.

We loved our stay here! Villa Orleans is a stunning villa perched high on the Amalfi hillside where you’ll have spectacular sweeping views of the sparkling blue waters and amazing sunsets from every location within the villa (rooftop terrace, sun deck, infinity pool & your rooms private balcony)
The rooms are well sized, modern, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The shower was spacious with multiple shower heads to choose from.

If you’re looking for some peace and quiet while on your Amalfi Coast adventure, this is the place for you, and it’s just a 20-minute walk from Amalfi city center.

Gerardo and his team are the most accommodating and helpful people we’ve ever met during our vacation travels. From pickup to departure, they were there to help with transportation, beach & restaurant recommendations, and every morning they offer the best “made to order” breakfast you could ask for.

If you’re looking for a small family run hotel with great service, we highly recommend Villa Orleans.

We read the reviews on their property before booking like always and the theme that stuck out to me was the reoccurring message that Geraldo and Orleans were excellent people. This was something we discovered in person as they were always there to help or a simple text message away and always responded very promptly. Booked great dinner reservations for us a few nights etc. the property itself is very nice, newer, clean, private, quiet etc. Geraldo makes you a great breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea. This was a great place to stay.

Orleans & Gerardo were fantastics hosts. Gerardo picked us up at the Amalfi port and drove us to the Villa. The location is scenic and overlooks the waters with a brilliant view of the mountains around. The villa is roughly 10 minutes walk to the main town area. The breakfast was very filling and there is a machine for espresso/cappuccino/late/etc available to use. Breakfast is served with a view of the sea and is breathtaking. There is an onsite infinity pool that we would strongly recommend. Rooms are well sized, modern and have all of amenities we needed. I recommend getting a room with the sea view as sitting on the patio in the morning/evening is very much enjoyable. We plan to return to Amalfi and stay again with Orleans & Gerardo! Strongly recommended

First of all Gerardo and his team are the sweetest, kindest, most accommodating and helpful people I have ever met in any stay experience. They are just the best people. Every morning they would feed us and stuff us full of delicious food and prepare us for the day. I had problems with my leg and when I came back to my room there was an ice pack waiting for me. They are so thoughtful about their guests. Now talking about the view, just stunning. You wake up and you see the beautiful blue sea glistening under the sun with the town of Amalfi off to the side. You can never get tired of the sight. Now speaking about location, be prepared to climb stairs, you will have to work for this stay. The Villa is located in between two roads and if you climb down from the top road it’s about 125 steps and if you climb up from the bottom road it’s about 450 steps. It Was a workout! You will have to get your heart rate up. But other than that, the rooms are modern and comfortable and honestly the thing that would bring me back is Gerardo and his staff as well as the view. This place is worth it!

We loved that we were treated with genuine kindness. Gerardo and Silvana were both very attentive to our needs . They always served you with a smile and offered you a great breakfast choice. Gerardo made reservations for us for dinner in town and his recommendations were right great. It was up in the mountain so put on your walking shoes but the view was awesome and I would definitely stay there again. If I can make one suggestion it would be to get some sort of vending machine for snacks because there is nothing around to get to eat at night so you need to eat in the town or bring something back. Overall our stay was excellent!

The views are beautiful from the private balcony and pool. The breakfast provided daily was excellent. Nice variety of fruit, bread, juice, coffee, cheese, meat, eggs and pastries. The hosts provided info on local transportation, dining, and tours, and special events. Daily housekeeping services were excellent.

The wifi coverage was less than optimal.
