Heater unit did not work, we were very cold all night long. We also brought it up with the person in charge, but nothing was done. The room we were in also had ocean water come inside our room at night after a storm, when we woke up everything was wet. Our night was wet and cold and not comfortable.

Very nice hotel! We booked a room with an over look and a jacuzzi tub. The water didn’t stay warm enough to fill the tub, but the room was overall very nice. The views were beautiful, the staff so nice and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

Bus 5070 stops very close the hotel, but you need to have tickets first. Maybe the hotel could sell this tickets in future.

The Amalfi Coast is absolutely beautiful and I had such high hopes for this hotel. It looked so cute and whimsy in the photos. Booked a superior double room w/view. While it did have a stunning view, the room was nothing like the pictures. The room was so small the only place to open your suitcase is on the bed. No closet or dresser for clothes. Literally the smallest shower I have ever used, smaller than one in an RV. Our room was crawling with tiny ants. Description states hotel offers room service and that is untrue. The owner is the rudest person I have ever dealt with while staying at a hotel. He literally shamed us in front of other guests for coming in past their quiet curfew of 10pm. The hotel is not walkable to town because the street is so dangerously narrow and busy- lots of cars, buses and vespas. Taxi into town is less than a mile but they charge you 40 euros one way. The only bright side of this hotel was an employee named Samwell, and the Hotel Ninfa doesn’t deserve him.

The property had incredible views for sure, the rooms were very small and needed lots of updates. It is an old building as most are around there. We were a group of 6 that had 3 different rooms and all 3 rooms had ants. We came home late our first night as we were checking out the town, we may have been a bit loud as there were 6 of us but we went to our rooms pretty quickly after entering the building. The next morning at breakfast, the owner showed us video footage as loud as possible and yelled at us in front of everyone then proceeded to yell at his staff about it after as well. It was very poorly communicated to us and very unprofessional. Samwell that works in the evening’s is absolutely wonderful other than him, none of us would recommend this property.

It’s about 20 minutes to Amalfi nice walk. 2 minutes bus back for 1.5 EU. The smallest room doesn’t fit a regular size adult im petite and struggled. Tiny little room we made do. But never again, if I would stay there again I’ll get the bigger room. How can they build them that way? The staff were beyond nice and helpful.

The view is amazing. The area is unsafe, the road is literally right outside your front door. The cars and motorbikes drive really fast and there is nowhere safe for you to walk.

Booked this hotel for a trip to see Italy. Within two minutes of booking realized we had entered the wrong date and attempted to cancel. We were informed that all sales were final. They would not let us change the date or cancel and took our money. We got Expedia involved to also try to contact them and they refused for Expedia as well. I don’t know anything about the property or anything else, but this is terrible service months away from our trip and would still not refund. Would definitely not book with people that treat others like this.

Saw many reviews criticizing the owner. Had the absolute opposite experience. We arrived in amalfi on a Sunday when there's no taxis running and it was super dark out. Couldn't really find a way to the hotel so as a last resort we reached out to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised that they offered us a ride. We were super tired from travelling and that really saved our trip. Beautiful room and beautiful view highly recommend and super greatful to the owner. Do note that it is about a 20 minute walk into the main town but it is nothing short of a beautiful walk.

We loved our stay at Hotel La Ninfa. The room was a dream. There are stairs to the room and to the bathroom inside the room. That was not an issue for us but it could be an issue for some travelers. We walked down to the town of Amalfi about a mile walk and spent the evening and the day. Took the bus back up to the Hotel La Ninfa because it was easy to walk down but not that easy to walk back up. The balcony view was absolutely stunning and the staff was very friendly

We loved our stay, this property is so convenient to find and located right next to a bus stop. The entrance is right off the road which is such a gem find instead of trying to navigate tricky directions within the city.You can either walk down the hill, call a golf cart or take a quick 5 min bus ride. We stayed in the room with a jetted tub, there is also a balcony with an incredible ocean view. We got to watch the sunrise on the balcony and sleep listening to the waves crashing. It was an amazing experience. Staff was friendly and catered to all of our needs.

AMAZING experience I wish we would’ve stayed longer. Our breakfast was served in our room, not in the dining area, which I didn’t know upon booking but it was no big deal, it was very nice, good food selection, we had an amazing view. The only feedback for the hotel, please be more informative when it comes to the odd/even number driving system. Some days your car can drive around some days you can’t. Also there are areas in Amalfi you’re not allowed to drive into or you’ll be penalized. The hotel should be helpful & voluntarily informative about this. The parking guy next door-Alfredo at the Gas Bar was so helpful, we couldn’t ask for anyone better! As far as the hotel itself, amazing accommodation! Easy check in and check out! Owner was smart to send us a video of check in instructions since we were arriving very late. PLEASE have an iron at least ONE iron for guests to use. We were going to a wedding and needed to iron my husband’s suit, we had to drive elsewhere to find an iron to use. There should be at least ONE, this is a must have for any hotel accommodation! Other than that — HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Extremely Disappointing
The web site was nothing like what the hotel is actually like. If you want to feel like you are sleeping in the middle of a busy major street that is rarely ever quiet and want to be treated like a bother, this is the place for you. Zero amenities and absolutely zero services or food nearby. No access to the beach as advertised. Extremely disappointing.

The property was an Ocean Front building on a cliff. We had a Breath taking Ocean Front room. Every morning we would start our day with a fresh breakfast. The staff were very kind and responsive. If I go back to Amalfi Coast, definitely will get a room on this property again.

We were a little apprehensive after the hotel we were in had a different name than what we booked, but connected to the main building. But it's a chain group and our room turned out to be newer and cleaner than others (room 1). The view from the balcony was amazing, perched atop a cliff overlooking the sea. The room was clean. AC didn't work but it was ok as we just left the window open it wasn't too hot. Shower was fine and worked, hot and cold. Be aware, though, the hotel is 25-30 mins uphill of a walk along a very narrow two way road that should barely be a one way. You have to walk on the side of the road which can be very dangerous with no sidewalks. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel---good to come back from Amalfi and get dropped off but impossible to get a ride down from as the buses often pass or are full. It's also a complete scam finding bus tickets--drivers say go find a \"guy\" or try to sell you themselves. The stores all don't sell tickets. Everyone's fighting and the taxis know it so they charge $30 euro for a 4 minute drive. One benefit of the hotel also is it's right above a great private beach (10-15 euro per person), the only catch is its a 500 step staircase down and up (takes 8 minutes down, 15 up). Not many people go since you can only get to it by boat (expensive) or by those stairs, so if you're in good shape it's great. Not crowded like the others. Overall the hotel was fine for a short 2 night stay for us.

This is a remarkable gem. Marco and Amana are the best! they are friendly and welcoming. I will diffidently come back and recommend it to anyone that visits Amalfi. It is a boutique hotel and conveniently close to everything and the bus stops right in from of the property.

beautiful property, every room on the main floor (where you have your breakfast) opens up to a beautiful view of the ocean. breakfast was essentially continental so nothing too exciting but a nice touch (bread, croissants, yogurt, granola, orange juice, jam, butter, nutella with an option for cheese slices and salami) but Ima makes amazing espresso/cappuccinos which made it all better! Marcos & Ima were incredibly kind and helpful staff members throughout our stay, helped us with the bus schedule, figuring out dinner/grocery options. Only reason for \"good\" rating is that the doors are not very sound proof so you hear every person that enters the building when the door slams but otherwise amazing!

We walked the mile into Amalfi and enjoyed the views, but be aware there isn't much sidewalk, so we shared the road with vehicles. There is a bus stop at the hotel to get into town. (Buy extra tickets when leaving town for the trip back into town.)

Coming from Sorrento asking bus driver to stop just before Amalfi terminal could save time and effort since less than three minute walk downhill to property. The view from La Ninfa’s room is excellent! Kinda affordable price with such a view in the touristy area. However it would be much better if the hotel can share some transport info from the pier before arrival. The transport is kinda messy in Amalfi , other than that , everything is perfect !

Poor air conditiong, fridge did not work properly and bar upstairs was just for show. Location on main road with no shops nearby. Amalfi centre 20 min walk on busy road - unsafe. Breakfast was poor.

This was our 1st time to Italy and we chose the Amalfi Coast to explore. While crowded on the buses and ferry’s, coming back to Hotel La Ninfa after a long days was perfect. It was quiet, clean and scenery simply breathtaking. The photos are exactly like the property. We found walking to downtown Amalfi an easy journey and we would take the SITA home after dinner and it stopped right in front of the hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The morning breakfast was delicious. Very happy we chose Hotel La Ninfa.

This property has an amazing cliffside view of the ocean. It has small rooms and no sound proofing so its can get very noisy. The managers are nice and the staff are fantastic. Its on a windy road with constant traffic and walking can be precarious. There is a local bus but it just buzzes by if its full so its unreliable.

Hotel is cute and clean. However, rooms are VERY small. Breakfast doesn’t have much to offer. However, it was a good deal for the price.

The owner was excellent in welcoming in. The property care taker was there every morning and took care of breakfast & cleaning the rooms. There is only 1 room with the Balcony highly recommend to book that if it's available it's a once in a Life time experience. The Balcony is on a cliff over looking the ocean it's simply amazing. Right next to town about 10mins walk downhill. On the way back take the Sita Bus for 1.20e and the bus stops steps from the hotel. Take a cab it's 15e. If you have luggage they charge 20e. Then take the Sita bus to Postiano for 2.50e one way and it takes around 30mins.

We stayed here for three nights at the end of May 2022. This hotel is small yet very quaint. Couldn’t ask for a better location; perched right atop the cliffside with beautiful views of the sea! What a great view to wake up to every day. Breakfast was an additional cost but an excellent option to have since the hotel is about a 15 minute walk into Amalfi. There is a bus stop located right across the street which we found very convenient. Most of the time we would just walk down the hill into Amalfi and then walk back up. We enjoyed the exercise and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Just an FYI to those with mobility issues; there are some stairs to navigate upon entry into the hotel as well as a few into your bedroom or down a stairwell to other bedrooms depending on where you stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it. As I mentioned, it is about a 15 minute walk into town so bear that in mind I’m considering booking this location.

Hotel la ninfa was a great spot if you like a view; once you walk outside your room you will see the whole lobby window has a great view of the waterfront. A fairly easy walk down to the city center from the hotel was another plus. We really enjoyed our quick stay here.

We were so glad and happy we stayed at the Ninfa.
First of all, Maurizzio was very welcoming. He recommended really good places to eat and gave us some very helpful tips. Also, the rest of the staff was great.
Hotel is just perfectly located at walking distance to Amalfi and Conca dei Marini. Right on the cliff, La Ninfa definitely exceeded our expectations.
We stayed at room 5 and the minute we walked in, wow! just thrilling and excitement. It’s has one of the most stunning ocean and Costiera Amalfinata views! Also, has this amazing balcony you will feel you own the world.
Bathroom views were just breathtaking. I have never enjoyed taking a shower just like the way I did there! You’ll be actually surprised!
You can walk down the cliff to this amazing, cool beach. I Really recommend a day beach at Lido Degli Artisti. Great staff, great food, paradise.

In Amalfi we could not find transportation that would take us to the hotel as the roads are too busy and the taxis will not take you to this hotel during peak hours. At the hotel we had to carry our luggage down a long flight of stairs. We received an unwelcoming greeting which immediately created an unsettling vibe. Our room had a rickety door that barely closed. You had to leave your room key at the front desk when you left the property and get a different key for the front door which made our room feel unsecure. No windows to the room just a frosted glass door that opens to the main patio. The room was so dated and dark. They advertise complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, etc. which is not accurate. The shower head kept falling off. The towels smelled like sour milk which was absolutely disgusting. We asked for a drink and were told the bar was just for looks! We walked the mile into town for dinner as we didn’t really have any other transportation option. We chose to leave the hotel for the entire day as there is nothing to do anywhere near the hotel unless you walk down 500 steps to a beach. That night we met some other friendly guests and we actually were able to enjoy the patio. We were enjoying wine and cheese and crackers and the manager came up and yelled at us for bringing in outside food. He said we could not have the food and we would be charged a 450EU fine for breaking the rules. There is no restaurant so we didn’t understand the issue with cheese and crackers?

Very very disappointing hotel. I had high hopes and expectations but it was very disappointing and not worth the money. The room and bathroom/shower were tiny and could just about walk around them. The included “breakfast buffet” is not a breakfast buffet and was absolutely terrible; it was a couple of warm yogurts, croissants and mouldy bruised fruit.

Let me start by stressing that I loved Maurizio, the owner, and his staff, they were some of the nicest people I met, Quick to react and responsible. That being said though, La Ninfa is not a hotel, it is at best a B&B or a pretentious Hostel. The rooms are simply too small to qualify as hotel rooms, even by European standards, although the views from the rooms on the seaside are unbeatable. This does not justify the price though, as views are easy to come by on the coast....more than 130-160 Euro a night for what could at best be described as a closet size room is not ok, in the first room I was in I could not fint into the shower stall, I literally had to back in and could not wash my hair as it was impossible to lift my arms. Steep and narrow steps make it difficult for anyone to move around the hotel unless Young and agile....If it was a hostel, and charged about half the Daily rate it would be sort of fair, but considering it a three start hotel and at that price, that is simply not ok and a no go, if on the Amalfi coast or not.....I Can rent a house on Capri for six people at 2/3 the rate of that!

The room #4 hangs on the side of the cliff looking over the sea and vision up and down the coastline. It is very impressive. The room is very small with the bed pushed up against the far wall. Shower is nearly impossible to get in. The room is not as clean as it should be and there appears to be mold around windows and some in the bathroom.

We were in a building which was not connected to the main building therefore the owner told us he'd 'get the password' for the wi-fi and never gave us anything. We then figured out that there was not actually wi-fi in our building he was going to try giving us the password for the hotel next to us.

Horrible experience. When we book in April 2018, hotel was falsely advertised as beachfront and having private beach-the only reasons why I booked this for my babymoon, and I was 6 months pregnant on my visit early August. Hotel was not any near the beach, it sits at top of a cliff and 450 steps stair is the ONLY access to get to a public beach, not private. I needed two take a bus daily to go to the beach in Amalfi, hotel room isolated from main hotel (a few houses down the street)- as you open the door, you are facing the busy highway without sidewalks. Every day stress and physical effort ruined my vacation and I counted the days to go home. We were cheated by this ad and Hotel La Ninfa and we do not recommend this place to anyone, there are many others places in town. La Ninfa is not a hotel, it is a B&B and no one is ever at the front desk. Last day after we had checked out, manager was nice to let us stay waiting for our car service, but denied my request to use a bathroom (!), hard when you are 6 month pregnant.

The views make it easy to forget the not so great things about the hotel. It is beautiful and the room we stayed in had a balcony so every night and morning was amazing! You couldn’t leave the AC while you were out of the room, so that was a downside, and getting to and from the town and the beach was not as easy as the website made it out to be. Nice hotel next to a beach. Like most things in the Amalfi area though, there are about 400 stairs to have to walk down to get from the hotel to the beach. This isn't unique to this hotel though and is very much the case in many different areas. The views of the hotel were amazing though and the breakfast buffet was varied and delicious.

Hotel La Ninfa is charming. The view on the breakfast area is absolutely stunning. Nino is the most gracious host. He makes sure we have everything we need for breakfast. I wish I can speak Italian, he seemed like he has a lot of stories to tell. Hotel is about a mile from city center. I suggest to ride the bus because it stops in front of the hotel. The ride back is an adventure though. The bus is busting at the seams and does not stop unless you yell. Love Amalfi Coast. this is a dream come true.

The hotel was walking distance to Amalfi Coast but that’s only if you are willing to walk up and down steep hills and cars and buses being inches away from you. It’s 1km away which according to the taxis costs €20. Other than that the bus is the most convenient way to get to the hotel it drops you off right in front of the hotel but you have to make sure you are close to the front of the bus to tell them to need to get Off bc they drive very fast past your stop. The bus only runs every 20mins as well. You can purchase a ticket at the tourist office for €1.30 each person and you stamp it on the bus.
When we got to the hotel the view was amazing and there was a beach below the hotel but it wasn’t open during the time that we went (mid May). We got there early so our room wasn’t ready so we left our stuff and came back a few hours later. When we came back the worker asked for our passports and 2€ ( I assumed for city tax ) he came back to our room and gave us our passports back and not the change back since I gave him a €10. My boyfriend asked where the change was and acted very confused and I think he thought it was a tip.. but now I think it was a 2€ charge for holding our bags since the next morning we paid €3 city tax. So that was annoying.

Hotel has a very nice view of the sea. Room and bed was quite small. Hotel staff was very nice but this is mostly a one person operation with no frills. It's about one mile to town - the walk downhill is nice but the roads are tight and sidewalks are absent about 50% of the time (cars whizzing by very close). Walking back uphill is a good workout - the alternative is the Sita bus which leaves hourly.

Not Great if You Want Privacy
The price was reasonable but our room had to be entered through sliding doors that opened to the \"kitchen\" in the dining room, making it a bit of an odd setup and far less private than we would have liked. This isn't terrible if you're just looking for a place to crash but I feel this should have been mentioned in the room description since it's unusual. In the morning, we could hear and be heard by all of the guests in the dining room as well as the staff who were just outside our door making coffee and managing the breakfast area.

The hotel was fantastic. But its a bit away from the center. So, the good thing about this is the location and views could not be anything better. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. That is if you want to take the bus. We walked down to the city center as it was a simple down hill walk. To come back to the hotel take the bus. Piece of cake. Overall very highly recommend this place. Get the Junior apartment. Its the best and has the balcony to relax. The bathroom is also as big as the bedroom.

Nice simple hotel within walking distance of town. The hotel is perched on a cliff with great ocean views. The room was small but comfortable and the staff helpful. Breakfast buffet was typical for italy. We enjoyed walking downhill to town (about 20 minutes) and riding the local Sinfa bus back after dinner.
