Suboptimal at best

Communication was sub-optimal. We paid for early check in through a link sent by the business and when we arrived for our early check in we did not have access and had to call management. There was mildew in the shower. The air conditioning did not work well and it was very hot inside the room. There were keys to all of the rooms left in a desk in the hallway so that anyone could have access to them and we felt uncomfortable leaving our valuables in the room when we weren’t there.

Recent review of Salotto Piramide B ( no n’B). I did a lot of research on various areas around Rome and this is one of the best priced rooms with a private en suite bathroom, If you are internet savvy with a phone plan that has data in Italy and are two people in a room, and this will be a OK stay. There is a main door to the building, a secondary door one flight up, and lastly, a long hallway with six rooms. Reminds me of staying with family, The room was decent and clean when the filtered water was a nice touch. A five minute walk to the Metro and two stops to the Colosseum and four stops to the main train station where you can visit other parts of Italy so, for those purposes, I recommend if you have a shoestring budget. Thanks.

Confusing to find and not enjoyable to stay at

There is no reception / desk, the property is just a nondescript door on the street which opens using an online portal that you must for online before visiting!

Even after registering this didn't work for me and I had to chase the owners on whatsapp to get access to the property which wasn't the smoothest experience.

Rooms are ok but a bit dusty / dirty.

Security is quite bad - the room keys are uncut which means any room can be unlocked with probably any key..

Overall I wouldn't recommend.

Check in was super easy and seamless.
The room itself was very clean and the AC worked amazing! In the room, the toilet seat was broken and the shower didn’t drain properly, but definitely not deal breakers. The location is alright, being a 5 minute walk to the train or a 30 minute walk to the colosseum. The location is alright. We were told by some locals that Piramide area is “dangerous”. It did seem kind of sketchy but we never felt unsafe walking around. Not the hotels fault, but we would probably stay closer to the city center next time as the trains only run till 11:30pm on weekdays.

The whole \"hotel\" was actually just a converted apartment.

They charged me an extra 100 euros for having more than the rooms expected capacity. I had 2 people in a \"quadruple\" that advertised 4 sleeping spots

The keys to each room were practically a toy. They were just a metal rod with a nub at the end. Think the plastic handcuffs keys for children.

There was a build up of calcite and mold in the kettle and the shower floods. The bidet had no water pressure or hot water.

The washing machine was just sat in the room which was previously the apartments kitchen and there was no detergent to even use it.

On the plus side:
Very shot walk to the metro and the Chinese food on the corner was amazing.

I enjoyed the property for what it is, very easy way to check in and open the doors to the place. The room however left some to be desired, it was dirty the first night that I arrived, as if they prepared it last second before my arrival. I am talking brown stains in some of the towels and in some sides of the bed. The bed also sinks in one side of it, so I had to move to the other side. Nice and very easily accessible property owner, and the room was cleaner the days after I arrived. 3.5/5 in my opinion.

This is a great location near the Piramida Metro train station. Easy to get to all major tourist locations. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Continental breakfast is available. We would stay here again if given the choice.

The only good thing about this place was the location since it’s 5 minuets walk to the train station and like 30 minuets walk to the coliseum
Nice restaurants around
However I was disappointed
I got a king size bed yeah but with a 3 inches mattress impossible to have a good night sleep
Then it had no blanket just a sheet
Inside the closet there was something like a blanket maybe but had no cover and it had a lot of hair on it
Plus it smelled horrible
The housekeeper will enter without knocking on the door also would not clean just do the bed
For the breakfast I did not try it but it was basic cereal juice coffee and toast
I think the only reason I would satu there again it would be for the location for me it was convenient but other than that I would probably look for something else
I got what I paid for so just to sleep and take a shower i guess it was ok
By the way if you have a complaint there is no one available
Also no Wi-Fi

It is a comfortable hotel, during my stay, there was no personnel staff to make breakfast for the guests as I had been advice by one of the administrators at the check-in moment, in therefore, I had to prepare my own breakfast, there are toasts, bread, fruit juices, milk, etc at the guests's disposition. Besides, I sugest the potential Salotto Piramide guests to get taxi by themselves whenever they want to go to the stations or airport. Uber is forbidden in Italy, otherwise, the customer is subject to pay €6000 fine

Nice & Simple Place to Stay

Nice B&B close to Rome Ostiense train station. Room was large and clean, private bathroom with bidet. The shower was clean but had a previous guest's open shampoo packet. Simple but nice breakfast. Warm and welcoming staff.

Good location for large, clean rooms

4 or 5 bedrooms in a large apartment are rented out at a reasonable price for a capital city. The bedrooms and en suite bathrooms are large, private, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The drawback is that the owners are not resident, so you have to call them to come round to be let in on arrival. I was very nervous about using the street parking outside, given the level of grafitti, though monitored parking is apparently available 100m away, but my concern was misplaced as no harm came to my car. Good location for metro and to walk to the historic old Trastevere area for excellent food and culture (and most of Rome's culture is badly served by metro and involves much walking anyway.

With a total of 6 rooms in this b&b apartment, it is very quiet & quaint. The room has everything you need and is only 3mins away from the train station. The staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is a bit basic so we didn't eat there but lots of little cafes around to eat.
We choose a room with a bathroom in, was very equipped and clean.
All in all, we had a very happy stay.

Clean, affordable, friendly staff

This place was very clean. The hostess was very sweet. The room had mosquito nettings which was very important as Italian houses do not have screens. The air conditioning was not working, but in June air conditioning is not necessary. Beds were fairly comfortable. Water provided in the room daily. Coffee, croissants, and fruit provided for breakfast. The location is not bad, but it is quite a hike to all major sites. However, there is a metro 1 block away that is very easy to walk to and will take you to all the major sites. If you are looking for a clean, budget stay in Rome this is the place for you.

INEXCUSABLE ERROR BY MANAGER!

INEXCUSABLE ERROR BY MANAGER! Booked a suite for seven nights; received a written, printed confirmation with that description. However, upon my arrival, the manager, Francesco, placed me in a single room with NO BATHROOM...bathroom with toilet and tiny shower cabinet were two doors down the hall. Manager told me that there had been a miscommunication between hotels.com and himself and that he had no other room available, giving me the option to stay in this inferior room or leave. He ultimately applied a 10% discount, completely inadequate for the inconvenience.

The room was quite clean, with thrift-shop-style, but functional, furniture. Double bed was comfortable, and there was a dresser with mirror, two end tables with small lamps, a dim floor lamp, an overhead light, a small, more modern desk with plastic/metal chair (with cushion), an armoire, and a modern-looking TV (which I never turned on, so I can't comment on that). No wastebasket provided, even though I requested one. Floor covering consisted of a thin runner that was hazardous because it did not stay in place. Breakfast consisted of a plastic-wrapped croissant, packaged toast, and jam. Available: Italian and American coffee, tea, milk, juice, and water. Also, self-serve corn flakes, and red apples. Internet worked fine. For the price, this was a decent accommodation except for the external bathroom (and no hot water one evening and one morning).

The room was spaceous but we Found a silverfish in our bathroom which grossed me out a lot and the room was not very clean. At 9am when me and my boyfriend were sleeping somebody(the cleaning maid?) OPENED our door without knocking or Asking to come in. We were shocked!! Aswell as there is no aircondition and there was a sign that said no eating or drinking in the room, which was weird.

Ich hatte keine Internetverbindung und konnte die EMails nicht öffnen, um die Tür zu öffnen, konnte aber mit neinen Begleitern rein. Ohne die, wäre ich nicht reingekommen Der W-Lan-Verbindungsschlüssel lag erst innen. Kann man den mit der Buchungsbestätigung zusenden?

Bei meinem Zimmer 6 hatte ich als erstes die Türklinke in der Hand (war locker), im Bad war kein Licht und die Elektrogeräte (TV) ging nicht an. Für die Klimaanlage fehlte eine Beschreibung. Auf dem Tisch lag eine angerissene Packung vom Vorgänger.

La verdad que fue la peor decisión alojarnos en este lugar. Nunca vimos a nadie de la propiedad, si bien en la descripción dice qué hay concierge. Por otro lado, en la publicación dice qué hay un lugar para guardar valijas “resguardo de valijas”, sin embargo cuando lo solicitas no te lo permiten, por lo que no es posible salir a pasear en caso que tu vuelo llegue más temprano, o te vayas más tarde del check out. Tuvimos que pagar a un hotel para que guarde las valijas. Por otro lado dice B&B, y es mentira. No ofrecen ningún desayuno. Las instalaciones son horribles. Un edificio viejo, y un departamento igual de viejo y feo. Realmente es deprimente el lugar. Dice que incluye baño privado, y si, es privado pero tenes que salir de la habitación para llegar, y caminar todo un pasillo, en el que te encontras otros huéspedes.
Le pedimos al dueño del lugar que nos deje dejar las valijas, nos dijo que no, reclamamos por lo que nos correspondía porque eso decía la aplicación, y nos dijo que entonces en vez de hacernos el check in a las 11 nos lo haría a las 15 (porque solo se había ofrecido a ingresar las valijas a las 11 porque tenía la habitación vacía)…. Pero nosotros no lo habíamos pedido hacer ningún check in temprano, solo dejar las valijas a las 8.30 am.
RESUMEN: NO SE HOSPEDEN EN ESTE LUGAR DEL HORROR

É um B&B que vale mto a pena em relação ao custos e localização. O bairro tem metrô e trem perto, tem mtos restaurantes.

Roma no geral é velha e suja (a verdade não mto dita mas..) então óbvio que o bairro Pirâmide tbm é. Mas me senti segura a noite por lá, saindo de restaurantes mais de meia-noite e indo andando para o B&B.

O meu quarto que era o que quarto:1. Era grande e arejado. Cheguei e estava super limpo. Cama confortável. Chuveiro quente! Tudo tranquilo, porém sem luxo óbvio, pelo preço não podemos exigir um hotel 5 estrela.

Primero lo bueno: se encuentra cerca de la estación de metro Piramide y la de tren Ostiense, y hay paradas de transporte público igual cerca. Hay un supermercado cerca. Lo malo: la zona no se siente seguro apenas y empieza a anochecer. La habitación mencionaba que tenía baño privado, pero no indicaba que este estaba afuera, por lo que no es cómodo tener que estar saliendo del cuarto para usarlo, bañarte o simplemente lavarte los dientes. Las llaves que abren la habitación y el baño son muy difíciles de utilizar a la primera, cuando recién llegamos tardamos mucho en poder entender como cerrar la habitación. La luz del baño no funcionaba, solo la del espejo.

Se ne avrò occasione, tornerò sicuramente.

Esperienza nel complesso positiva, sistemazione modesta ma carina e pulita. La metro è comodissima ad appena 400 metri e si raggiungono comodamente in 1 fermata Circo Massimo - 2 fermate Colosseo - 3 fermate Piazza Venezia - 4 fermate Stazione Termini - 7 fermate Piazza di Spagna - 8 fermate Piazza del Popolo. Accoglienza check-in perfetta. A causa di una piccola incomprensione, mi era stata assegnata una stanza con bagno privato esterno, ma tutto sommato non è stato un gran disagio.
Se posso suggerire qualcosa ai gestori, direi loro di far sistemare la doccia che fa acqua da tutte le parti (magari anche ingrandirla, visto che lo spazio c'è) e di curare maggiormente la colazione, magari con mono porzioni di confetture e creme spalmabili, perché i barattoli formato famiglia da condividere con degli sconosciuti non sono proprio il massimo, aggiungere anche una riduzione per spina tedesca in stanza, perché se no il bollitore in dotazione risulta inutilizzabile.
