Okay stay here, but definitely would not say this qualifies as a 5 star hotel. Reception desk staff are very friendly and taxi booking service to airport is good but that’s about as far as good comments go.
The rooms are okay and look modern but the beds are very hard and you only get a thin sheet for a duvet. All fine for us, but worth mentioning.
Be aware the rooms are not sound proof at all, walking through the corridor you can hear everyone’s conversations in all the hotel rooms!

The ‘rooftop pool and bar’ was the most disappointing part. The sun chairs around the pool are massively uncomfortable and the bar is completely derelict. So if you wanted a drink by the pool, you had to go all the way down (in very slow lifts) to the bar in the lobby. They said the bar opens on Saturday nights but we checked and it wasn’t open. They also advertise a jacuzzi but we couldn’t find it anywhere!

The hotel is in a very run down and almost scary area, with a lot of homeless people outside on mattresses on the grass. They often approach to ask for money. I think the worst part was the location from the city centre. Be prepared to take a 40 min bus journey into central Rome or it’s an hour walk.

The staff were fantastic, but overall the hotel was just not our cup of tea. We booked this hotel as a place to chill out but that just wasn’t possible on the rooftop with uncomfortable lounge chairs and a freezing cold pool. I felt unsafe walking back to the hotel given the area it’s in.

Everything about the hotel was excellent, comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Once we had worked out the train and bus (the staff explained which ones we needed for town) its situation which seemed far from town, did not seem so far!
Breakfast was disappointing. The hot parts were not hot. The scrambled egg was excellent (though not hot)

It’s a beautiful property, I will definitely stay there again if I come to Rome, front Desk were absolutely phenomenal, omg, they went above and beyond when I forgot my wallet in the taxi, I am mad I can’t remember her name, the bar tender at the roof top was amazing too, breakfast was delicious, the gym even though very small was very effective, the only minor problem I notice was the surrounding areas, it’s definitely very sketchy at night, you definitely have to be careful.

We enjoyed our stay here…but it is a little ways out of town…easy taxi service. We went here because it had a pool, which we never used in the 3 nights we were there because it opened at 10 and closed at 8pm. Feel like 9 to 9 we would have had an opportunity to relax at the pool. Just too early at 8pm. By 10am we are all about our day.

The property is modern and clean. Rooms are a decent size. But the main reason I stayed there was for the pool so I was really disappointed that there were no beds at the pool (as pictured). Instead there were chairs which weren’t particularly comfortable and you couldn’t lie in them.

A big thumbs-up from this English-speaking guest

If you are an American tourist who doesn't speak fluent Italian, this is the hotel for you. All of the staff spoke very good English. The hotel is on the periphery of the city, so walking to the historic attractions is not a given, but the hotel will get a taxi to pick you up within five minutes of requesting one. The on-site restaurant has a varied menu, but staffing seemed to be a bit of an afterthought. There is a major road three blocks to the west if you want to catch a bus, but the shopping on that road is more for residents than tourists. Restaurant options are abundant, especially if you don't want to eat dinner until 7:00 or later. The rooftop pool is another plus.

Reception were fantastic - really helpful and accommodated an early check in. Pool area is very small and very well used to literally no space to sit when we arrived. Bar on rooftop was a great addition and exceptionally helpful staff serving drinks etc. Hotel is located in a built up area of Rome and wasn't very aesthetically pleasing when walking around. Taxi to airport not cheap for a family of 5 at c€80 (Ciampino)

We chose this as our second hotel spot in Rome for the pool and it's closer proximity to the airport, but you definitely aren't very close to the main tourist areas if that's your goal. They do have a partnership with the taxi service to get you to the city centre (but not to return), which was nice. Be prepared to use transportation. This hotel would be much more expensive if it was in a better area so you definitely get some value there. Room was in good condition and nicely updated. Pool area was very nice. Our best meal of our 19-day trip was at the restaurant beside the hotel called Gazo. Would absolutely recommend.

My youngest son was 21 during our stay and they recommended where in Rome we could find restaurants in the old town and as an extra touch left a small bottle of sparkly in his hotel room with an little note which was a lovely gesture. I have stayed in many hotels but what made this one stand out was the staff - as mentioned above. Friendly and helpful staff, responsive quickly to our requests. Clean and modern rooms, beds, bathrooms. Their breakfast was very good with so many options and also the servers were very polite and helpful. Their location is in a very quiet area and we could sleep well. The AC in the room was working excellent and we didn’t feel any discomfort while outside was 92’ hot. the bathtub was very big and clean. There is a big street behind the hotel by 5-7 min walking distance which has everything and every shops you need and actually it is very popular for local people to walk and enjoy the afternoon socializing. Definitely check it out, we had a great time sitting outside and have lunch or dessert over there. All shops and bakeries are close . You can get an electric bike or scooter which is available around the hotel and exploring around specially Tiber river which is close. Ubers get there quickly and easy ride to the airport.

This place was gorgeous and very well kept. Staff were friendly and breakfast was fantastic! The only downside for me was that I chose this place specifically because it had a pool but on arrival was told that it was closed until the end of May… nothing mentioned this on the listing so that was disappointing. The location isn’t great, either but they offer a taxi voucher to the central area or you can use e-scooters to get around! (6-8 euro one way to central areas).

Still, had a great time. Excellent housekeeping as well!

Positives - Staff is friendly. The lady at the front desk really took her time and explained us how to get around Rome. She gave us a map and marked all good things to do and how to get to them.

Negatives - Did not have internet in the room for 2 days I stayed. Only the rooms close to lobby get stable internet. The rooms are very dark and have poor lighting. My wife and I had to use phone flashlights to pack our luggage as the room lighting is so bad once the sun goes down. Finally, we did not get the room that we booked via Expedia. I will recommend this place to friends and family.

I would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Rome. The rooms are clean, updated, and comfortable. The staff was also extremely helpful. They arranged for a car to take us to the airport, which was so nice to not have to get that figured out on our own. 5 Day stay at Roma Citta

A very comfortable and spacious room. Housekeeping was very efficient and thorough. Air conditioning was very simple and easy to work. Could have been improved with the addition of a kettle. Very close to shops and access to central Rome via the 170 bus.

Confusion over access to pool... we chose this hotel as it has a pool but were told when we arrived (26/09) that the pool closed that day so this was the only day we used it. On our final day (30/09) we noticed people in the pool. The weather was still very warm so it seemed reasonable to use the pool but didn’t know if it was allowed. Would recommend extending the time the pool is open if the weather allows (website just says June to September) and clearly defining the dates it can be used.

lovely hotel. Very clean and great facilities. Shockingly bad breakfast. Ordered scrambled eggs and bacon and it came out freezing cold, presumably cooked the day before and not reheated properly. We asked for this to be corrected and the replacement was even colder. This happened on two consecutive days before we gave up ordering ‘hot’ food. Gentleman waiter very rude to female staff and customers made us feel very uncomfortable and nervous in his presence. Shame about the breakfast as all other areas and staff were lovely. Pool very busy but not an issue for us as we were there to see the city.

We were disappointed as we were charged normal rates but when we got there we found out that the restaurant is closed, the bar by the pool was closed. The swimming pools opening time were betweeen 10am to 7pm. We were not told this. The restaurant and bar was advertised on the website and there was no mention that it will be closed which was the main attraction for us about the hotel.

We were not able to have room service, everyone I called I had to go down because there was not enough staff. We did not have an iron in our room we had to go get it ourselves. I asked for drinks they told us there is a mini bar in our room. When I opened the mini bar there was one can of coke and a Pringle.

I was disappointed because we paid normal rates and we did not receive the type of service from a 4 star hotel. Also to advertise the restaurant by the pool in the evening and the bar by the pool and them not being available takes a lot of value out of the booking.

So overall I was disappointed for what we paid and what we got in return.

This is a great hotel for the money, but the location is a problem, if like me, you don't have a car on your visit to Rome. It's a 15-20 Euro taxi ride to the main part of town and that adds up. They have a deal where you can get 10 Euro roundtrip to a specific square in the city that is pretty central but it ends at 7 p.m. So, it's ok if you don't plan to go out in the evenings, but you really can't sightsee, come home, change and go to dinner like you'd like to. The neighborhood is not great either, so you don't want to try and take the train and walk to late. There is a bus into the center of town, but I found the buses a little confusing.

Described as 'near a metro station' for central Rome but turned out to be a 25 minute walk each way. The hotel itself is in good condition but in a very run-down area. Lack of good restaurants or coffee shops in the vicinity.
Our room (339) was overlooking rubbish bins and our sleep was disturbed nightly by very noisy refuse collection. On two occasions a large puddle developed near our bathroom which hotel staff put down to a fault with the air conditioning and half way through the week our safe ceased to function. Both problems were dealt with fairly promptly but delayed us in leaving the room.

Staff were really helpful at check-in (Elettra specifically). Front desk were always on hand to take call and help if needed. Taxi voucher to Piazza Venezia was helpful. Wi-fi in our room was really slow, front desk gave us another login that helped to an extent. New wi-fi worked great near the entrance of the room only and was still bad everywhere else.

Continental breakfast is pricey but the variety of options and quality of food justifies the price. Recommend having the breakfast for one morning at least.

Pool was busy at all times but was realizing in the sunshine. They do make you buy a swimming cap for €3 if you don’t have one already.

Very clean and decent room. Breakfast could be improved, steak at the restaurant for lunch was really good

The staff was amazing especially at breakfast. I have never seen such effort, efficiency, and attentiveness to the guests. 110%. The breakfast was outstanding! Many choices and very high quality. The rooms were very clean. Great job by housekeeping. The only negative was the mattress was too soft. Other than that I would highly recommend this Hotel!

It was in a rough area and no restaurants near enough to walk to.Also the centre of Rome was quite a way from here,not one stop on the metro away as was advertised

Great hotel for the price. Lovely room very modern and clean staff were v friendly and informative. The bus into city took 10 around minutes the stop was a five minute walk and really cheap. I loved it and will definitely be back

Swimming pool was a real treat after getting back from trips
