The location is a bit of a walk away from attractions but we expected a lot of walking. The only negative comment I would leave is it was so loud at night time. We were at the front of the hotel as it sounded like we were on a building site we could not sleep and had a baby with us.

We had a great 2 week stay in Dec 2025. Staff was very corrupted courteous and helpful. The room was smaller than expected, but it worked for us. The balcony is huge, which seems like excess unusable space though, especially in December. The room felt cold at times despite clicking the temperature up to 22 Celsius. But it was probably because of the floor to ceiling windows and how cold it got at night while we were there. Must be lovely in warmer weather. The gym was only accessible for free at times I didn’t want to go, so I paid for a monthly membership at the gym next door for access anytime. It was a great investment; the gym staff were were great, they had all the equipment I needed for power lifting, and I got to use the co-ed sauna. When I had an issue with the toilet and shower head, they fixed it immediately. The area is also perfectly located across from Testaccio Market and is just south enough of Trastevere to be away from the crowds, but still very accessible by tram, bus, or train to central Roman locations. We used public transport every day, and built in 30 min to get into central Rome. We’d definitely stay here again, especially for access to the well equipped gym.

The room was great - i wish it was on the sunny side of the building but then we wouldnt get the river/trees.
There was construction throughout the duration of our stay, and you can hear the street traffic, but that is expected. The balcony was large and the bed cozy. Access to the gym was great (specified hours only) and staff were very helpful.
We used the bike rental at the cafe on the corner, I believe it was €5/hr or €20/day.

The suites was a great place to stay around Rome.

It's a bit far from the general tourist items on foot but is easy to find some public transport (trams, buses, and regional trains). It is a bit of a ways with lots of luggage given the options but definitely worth for long stays as there is great food and connections around.

Room was clean and roomy any definitely allowed us to settle in well - aircon was amazing esp. for this weather!

The staff were really helpful and even allowed us to stay in the same room despite having two different consecutive bookings.

Having the basement laundry (free with all included) and racks to support drying was a godsend especially for a summer trip!

Thanks again this was a great stay in Rome!

Located next to the airport railway station which is an advantage to travellers departing/ arriving Rome. The facilities are a bit old and a bit dusty. The air-cons didn’t work at all. Staff just told us to open the window instead, while the noise from street, the nearby restaurants and traffic are the big issue to us as we were assigned to the 2nd floor

Disappointing Experience – Misleading Information and Poor Communication

While the hotel itself was clean and offered free access to laundry facilities, our overall experience was disappointing due to several issues that future guests should be aware of.

First, the check-in staff were not present at the entrance during the hours stated on their website and pamphlet. They encourage guests to contact them via WhatsApp, but not all staff members were actually on the app, and responses were slow or nonexistent.

Our room had a door that didn’t lock properly, and the walls were paper-thin—you could hear everything happening in the adjacent rooms.

There were also contradictory claims from the staff. The hotel advertises a breakfast restaurant, but when we arrived, we were told our booking didn’t include breakfast—something we were never informed of beforehand. When we followed up, another staff member claimed they don’t have space for a restaurant at all, even though there was a clearly labeled restaurant right next to the hotel.

Lastly, the gym is not free, contrary to what their advertising implies. This, along with the other inconsistencies, created a sense of dishonesty that really soured our stay.

If transparency and reliability matter to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Very basic, the pictures really makes the property look fabulous. Kudos to the photographer.
If you don’t need much from a hotel. This is your place.
No one was ever at check in and the gym. Come on, we are on vacation. When you say we have access to a gym and get there only to have uber restrictions is a joke.
They have silly hours and you have to pay extra to use an actual gym. Other wise you have access to a stretching area and out dated weights and that’s all. The plates weren’t even on a rack. So if you did use it, well I guess there’s your workout, picking the plates off the floor! Oh, I didn’t even see a bench!!! I walked out pissed off!!! I’d go some where else.

Check-in was supposed to be from 2-8pm. I arrived at 4:45 and found papers outside the door with guests’ names on them with the access code for the front door. Once inside, there were envelopes with names and room numbers written on the outside and a key inside. Instructions to come to reception the next morning starting at 8am to complete the registration process. We’d be gone by then, as we had an early flight. I tried texting per the instructions left with the key in case there were questions, but no response.
Although on the 5th floor, the slider to the balcony didn’t lock and there’s and extra door in the room, which I couldn’t open (maybe for a connecting room?)
Mold in the corners of the shower. No place to hang a wet towel in the bathroom, nothing next to the bed on one side where you might be able to set a water bottle, phone or earplugs. You need earplugs for the backup beepers apparently associated with construction equipment working nearby. Never figured out where that was, but we heard it a lot.
Really glad my husband was along & I wasn’t at this one by myself.
Gave 2 stars because the bed was suitable, we got to the room, did shower and sleep, so we got the basics, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

We enjoyed our 1-night stay. Short walk to train station to go into Rome, and to cafes and restaurants serving authentic Italian food. Cozy apartment with mini kitchen, kitchen table and large balcony with seating. Would be a good home base to explore Rome for a few days or longer.

Convenient location for public transit.
Bring your earplugs, that is the only way you will get a soundproof room, you can ear the neighbors and there is a constant hum coming from some industrial plant in the neighborhood even with windows closed.
Unfinished gypsum work on bathroom ceiling and peeling paint off wall above shower tiles. Shower door needs repair and entire shower stall has a bad smell. Bathroom fan not working.
Not worth what we paid for, I would not stay again.

Don’t stay here. Firstly, the website itself advertises a bar and restaurant, it’s non existent. The rooms are not sound proofed you can hear everything that goes in the hotel. We weren’t told there would be work going on in the hotel and the first morning we had a rude awakening with banging, drilling and shouting. I met 2 members of staff during my stay, a tall man with dark hair who is rude and obnoxious, he knocked on my door and accused me of being too loud on my first night with my partner. The guests on the floor were banging on their doors continuously causing a racket, and then I got accused of it. The location is awful, it’s scummy and scruffy. Hated every minute about staying here.

Luca and Andrea are always helpful and will go the extra mile to make your stay as comfy as possible. You may ask for things which you normally could not at your everyday hotel, and they will fetch something out for you. I had to checkout at 10am but since my flight was at 8pm, they allowed me to stay as long as i would like at no charge. They have a laundry section now, and you can go and do your laundry as if you were at home too!

We spent nine nights in the apartment with kitchenette. It was pleasant and comfortable. The location is near the Trenitalia Trastevere station, and it’s a short walk to the Testaccio neighborhood. The active center of the Trastevere neighborhood and its marketplace and dining streets — the part with all the restaurants and cobbled streets — is about a mile away, which is walkable plus easily accessed by transit.

The neighborhood around the suites is very residential and quiet, with just a few places to eat (there’s a little kosher takeout place a block away with freshly made ravioli and side dishes you can cook at “home”) , but near several groceries. It’s definitely more real Rome than a tourist area.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The suites are small but well laid out and in good shape, with just a little visible wear and tear. The laundry is in the basement, and there are drying racks you can bring to your suite; soap is provided. The kitchenette had everything you need (dishes and cups, cleaning supplies, electric kettle, microwave, toast rack, utensils and knives — a cutting board would have been nice, and note there is no oven, so you can’t bake).

This is a good place for a long stay.

I was especially impressed with the friendly and very helpful staff as well as the cleanliness of our room and the entire place! Highly recommend if you want a place that is affordable, out of the high tourist areas, close to a train station and bus stops, fitness center, and close to the best food in Rome!

Hotel room was large with a very large balcony. Everything you could need. We did not use public transport whilst there as the nearest hop on hop off bus was at the Collisium which was a 50 minute walk. Fortunately the weather was good. Could not find many local restaurants open for dinner on Sunday. Luckily there is a microwave and saucepans so we ended up only eating out one of our three evenings in the pizza restaurant under the hotel. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was served in the cafe underneath the hotel which was average.

We arrived late at night, and they left our check-in instructions out front for us, since the desk wasn't open that late. Our room was clean and comfortable, and even had an enormous balcony (we were in the top floor corner, and the balcony was bigger than the room. Too bad it was January and we couldn't really use it.) The staff was very nice and helpful, and even printed a tour voucher for us since we didn't have access to a printer. They allow you to use the gym next door, and there is a coffee shop next door, as well. Otherwise, there basically isn't a lobby, just a tiny desk and an elevator. Simple place, but very nice. 6 minute walk to Trastavere Station, and a 10-15 min walk across the bridge into Testaccio. We walked all over and loved the location, since it was away from the bustle of the tourist center. The immediate surrouding area is a little sketchy at times (lots of nightclubs, some run down parts) but then turn a corner and you have a great area, so we would definitely still recommend it.

The place is within an easy walk from several bus stops, a tram (no. 8) stop, and the Trastevere Station itself. There are a number of good places to drink and eat nearby, including two establishments on the ground floor. The views are great, and the interior is well maintained. The bed was perfect, the shower bathroom was just right, and internet was speedy and faultless. What else would a traveler need? The was a hot plate available to warm up the food if need be, and so was refrigerator and a safe. I wish I could stay longer.

People---get here, stay here, and smile, smile, smile! The palace is great. Spacious-- check. Clean-- check, check. Professional, patio view, kitchenette-- check, check, check. Great cappuccino at breakfast-- checkmate! We paid about sixty bucks on a weekend night, and discounting the music from the neighborhood bar, were sad we hadn't signed up for more! Only a couple hundred steps to the tram stop, directly on the river, the train station is minutes away. Golly-- we loved it!

The room and location is great. Clean, good beds, hard pillows and modern.
This property seems to be condos converted to hotel rooms. There really isnt a 24h front desk. Its just a little room at the entrance with a concierge that works from 8am to 7pm. There is also no restaurant, but breakfast is served daily to your room.
Just dont expect all the amenities youd get in a regular hotel. This is just a building with rooms (clean and modern) at a great location with decent parking and daily breakfast. Basically all you really need unless you lock yourself up in the hotel while visiting Rome.

A wonderful apartment

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2 day stay at Lungotevere Suites. With a balcony view of the nearby Tiber and the area beyond it right across to the Victor Emmanuel monument, this apartment was a great find! The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The room was modern and very clean, and wifi access was good. About a 10 minute walk to Trastevere Station meant easy access to Fiumicino Airport, and easy access into Central Rome via the 8 Tram.

Great place to stay - close the train station and everything else- clean, friendly, secure and quiet. My trip was to visit with friends who live in Trestevere and I was a short stroll to their home and to all the sights. It's a 3 minute walk to and from the train to the airport and a gateway to areas outside of Rome itself!

Lungotevere Suite is a very good deal for those looking for modern accommodation near the Trastevere train station at a reasonable price. Those who are gym users have an added perk of a full-scale gym right next to the hotel (and free for hotel guests). The breakfast is also great and delivered on time to your room. Some downsides may include the lack of a restaurant (although I believe they are working on this) and perhaps not the highest-quality furniture (the table in one of the rooms I was staying was not in good shape). But given the price, location, and service, this is a very good deal overall.

If you are visiting Rome to see the city center, the Colosseum, the Vatican, etc., the location is not ideal unless you plan on taking public transit. However, being in Trastevere, there are great restaurants, bars and whatnot. We would stay again!

Unwelcome, plonked in the middle of nowhere

We just got back from two nights stay at this Hotel and were very disappointed. The hotel itself is in a very rural and frankly run down area away from the city, a tram or train is needed to get into the main touristy areas (which was fine) but it was up to us to find these modes of transport - the staff were not helpful at all as they spoke near to no English. They gave very vague answers to our simple questions. For example they didn't know where the local supermarket was (?!) and by chance we found one literally round the corner of the hotel while walking back one day. They said the tram stop was 'on the main road', pointing us in the wrong direction.

The room itself was nice, clean and modern with a large balcony. There were odd consistencies with the room though, such as our plugs only fitting into certain sockets, meaning we had to charge our phones in the bathroom. Also soap was provided in the bathroom, but not the expected little bottles of shampoo and conditioner (which we assumed were a standard part of a hotel room) meaning we had to go out and buy our own, which was a waste only for two nights.

No phone was present in the room, meaning we didn't have a number to call down to reception if needed (only an 'emergency' number was given). When I booked the room it said a 'continental breakfast' was included. On our first morning we were given the option of one croissant each, or a piece of fruit (literally an apple etc) a small glass of juice or a coffee.

Earplugs provided + bad customer service, caution!

We spent 3 nights at this pseudo hotel in Rome and it was an unfortunate way to begin our honeymoon. For starters, the accommodations are in the same building as a gym, run by the same proprietor. They play obnoxiously loud music until 11pm without any consideration for their guests. During our stay there was a music festival very close to the hotel. The music went on until 3am for three nights straight and was blaring so loud we were unable to sleep through it or enjoy any peace and quiet in our room.

When I spoke to the front desk staff about how unpleasant our stay had been, they made no efforts to compensate us in anyway for the significant inconvenience and accepted no responsibility for not informing us of the concert in advance so we could have gotten a different hotel. They even suggested that we should have called the police with a noise complaint. Seriously. I understand that they have a business to run but we were on a once in lifetime trip and they made no effort to make is special or even adequate. Very disappointing and many other good options for the price.

Very nice hotel which is located close to public transport. Rooms clean and modern. Staff helpful and friendly and speak good English. Hotel has fully equipped gym for the health conscious. Only bad point was the night club which was quite loud, but we were aware of this before booking. Would definitely come back and will be recommending to friends.
A suggestion to the lungotevere staff would be to add washing machines and irons to the rooms.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. This modern hotel is a short walk from Trastevere train station. Not really a selection of restaurants close by, but across the Tevere river there are several to choose from, also walking distance. A supermarket right around the corner, and trams and bus service from the train station can get you anywhere you want to go.

It is a very nice place but be aware that although I heard a good things and fun neighborhood of the area it was not so. It is 10 min far from the city center by bus. However we made it and the overall stay was good.

Great Hotel. Okay Location.

Positives- Wonderful staff who are very helpful to foreign visitors. Room was clean with a modern style. Room is small, but makes use of every inch of space. Sofa converts to beds for additional guests. Amazing private patio- even larger than the room! Restaurant below has wonderful food.

Negatives- Around 11 pm each night, city becomes very noisy with loud dance music. Traffic noise is also loud due to busy street below. Room is not sound proof because of large windows. Staff does provide ear plugs.

There is no staff on the hotel grounds at all times. They get in around 8am and leave after dark. Room cleaning service is every other day, but you can request extra towels, toilet paper, etc.

Hotel is not near tourist attractions, so you can walk, but it is a few miles. There is a nearby train station and taxis are always available. Area is not in the attractive area of Trastevere. There's lots of graffiti in the area.

Nice hotel convenient to Testaccio.

I only stayed for 2 nights but it had everything required for a long stay. There's nothing special about the view or anything, but the balcony was nice. I didn't find the \"nightclub noise\" to be a problem but I live in New York so maybe I'm just jaded. The hotel supplies ear plugs anyway. (Right across the river is a venue called Citta Dell'Altra Economia which runs until September (in 2014 at least) and has many interesting stores, food, and concerts-- I had a great time visiting that, but it is also likely the source of the noise.) Everything went smoothly for us, in any case. The rooms are strangely laid out (like two adjacent triangles), but that's not problematic. The TV shows ancient Italian movies and BBC in English. There's a supermarket around the corner downstairs and a gym which we probably could have used if we'd wanted to.

Too far from everything!

We were disappointed with just how far the hotel ended up being from everything! Even the local Taxi drivers didn't know where if was! All the travelling added significantly to our journey time everyday which was really frustrating! The hotel is not good for mobility issues as the lift was very temperamental and often never worked. My Mum is 66 so 6 flights of stairs weren't great for her to climb at least once a day! The hotel was also close to an area where there was loud music each night which also wasn't ideal especially as it went on until at least midnight! The hotel was very clean however that is the only positive comment I could really make! Hotel staff not very pleasant either!! Disappointing!

A Hotel for the Deaf!!

Extremely diappointing!!!! Stayed from October 20-27, thus a period of six days. Was awoken at night by the thunderous beat of an open-air discotheque across the river. Music started at roughly midnight and continued to the wee-hours of the morning (5AM). I was, to say the least, flabberghasted!! By the whole situation. I couldn't comprehend how a city like Rome could tolerate such a situation!!! How the residents of the surrounding area could put up with such loud music in the dead (?) of night!!!!
Which is a shame, because the hotel has a lot of potential!!! However, I stay at a hotel to sleep!!! And sleep is not....and I repeat, not......an option at the Luongotevere!!
On another note, the air-conditioning was disabled, which given the fact that the temperature was in the mid-to-upper 20s, was unfortunate.
Overall, a terrible experience.

Great experience in Trastavere

Best part of the hotel is that it is modern and comfortable, and has free access to an amazing gym that has classes and even climbing. It's not in the bustling nightlife part of Trastavere, but is very easy public transportation to get there, or anywhere else you need to go in central Rome. The only downside has been mentioned in other reviews - the hotel is across the river from a very loud nightclub that blasts music very late Friday and Saturday nights. I'd put it in the slightly annoying category, not loud enough to bother sleeping patterns, but loud enough that you will hear it. The hotel does provide ear plugs if the noise really bothers you. All in all, the hotel was a great experience and as one of the cheaper hotels in the area, is well worth the price.

Perfect stay for testaccio and public transport

The hotel is very nice and spacious, the breakfast is good as well. The downside of the location is mitigated by the closeness to the tram and trains which get you to all the sites within 10 mins. Plus, the size and cost of the hotel is def worth the extra travel time. The staff is nice as well. They even upgraded us to an apartment, and the apt is huge!!! If you can, try to book the apt, the balcony and bathroom alone are bigger than some other hotels in italy, no lie! I will definitely come back here to stay at the apt. You will enjoy your stay, it is near testaccio the night club hotspot, walking distance, and the best pizzerria is about a block away near the mcd's

Value: Simple and clean for great price

When I told a travel agent that I booked a hotel for $180 per night in Rome on Expedia, she was surprised. This made me concerned, but the hotel was exactly what I had hoped for. Modern lobby with friendly staff, work-out facility, free internet, clean/fresh room, short walk to public transportation. The room was small, but we spent no time in the room except to sleep and shower. This hotel is a great value. We took the tram to most sites, but there is so much to see in Rome that I can't believe any one hotel is the perfect location.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our trip to Rome and around Italy. We booked only a couple days in advance because we skipped a trip to Venice. I wasn't thrilled about the immediate neighborhood which seemed a little sketchy, but the train station was a 5 min walk, so it's easy to use public transit to get to the cool Trastevere neighborhood. New building, spacious room, nice bathroom, good wi-fi. The front desk girl helped us call & make dinner reservations (which are highly recommended for busy Fri/Sat nights). Great views from our balcony. However, there is a music venue directly across the river that plays quite loud and well into the night (3am) which was a little annoying. I missed seeing this comment from other reviewers since we booked in a hurry.

Perfect hotel at a fare price!!

We stayed for a week at the Lungotevere suite in a room with a full kitchen and we were very happy. We were travelling with a young children and the staff of the hotel even set up a crib for our baby and the room was big enough for us to watch movies after we put the baby to bed.
Plus, the hotel is close enough of all the big attractions of Rome, so we walked the whole week.
All the staff we very heplfull.
I would definetely stay at the hotel again.

good location to get to city center

This was our favorite hotel on this trip. It wad really a studio apt. Fabulous amenities, comfortable and even had a balcony. Only drawback was finding it by car. I suggest you email the hotel a.d get better direction s or use gps. There is a distinct lack of street signs coking off the autostrate and you don't really have much time to figure it out or you will get run over. By far,, the beet service at any of the Italy hotels we booked. Bed very comfortable

Cute little apartment in Rome

The apartment is very new and clean, but the area is not the cleanest. However, it is very close to Trastevere, which is the live and happening part of town where all the Italians (not just the tourist) hang out at the restaurants and cafes. It is about 15 minutes walk to the apartment.

Great place, highly recommend

Brand new, overlooking the Tiber River. Suite has everything you need. A balcony runs along the whole thing.It is bright, with the sun coming in on the east side through the 2 big sliding doors. The staff is very helpful and speak English quite well. There is a fitness centre on site and is very well equiped. You can pick up all your food needs from the market across the street--from fresh fruit and vegies to wonderful breads and sweets and a big selection of meat. There is also a supermarket around the corner for the rest of your needs.A 5 minute walk takes you to the station where you can get a bus, tram or train to get you whereever you need to go. This Hotel is in a residential neighbourhood so banks, shops, churches are all close by.

Beware to those travel with kids and families. There is a club across the river which will open from 12am to 6am with tons of noise. Yes. the noise wont stop until the next day morning which was really bad if you are not a deep sleeper. We lived on the 3rd floor corner but still hear the noise very clearly all weekend long. So PLEASE beware if you are traveling with kids or families. I hope this will help!!!
