Pros:
- Big pool and amazing beach with good amount of seating. We didn’t have a problem finding chairs after looking for a few mins.
- Most of the staff was friendly and helpful
- Room was big and a good layout
- Train/tram to take guests around the hotel was running often and we could usually get on it. Only crowded sometimes so we’d just walk but as big as the hotel seems, it’s very walkable and you can get from the furthest point in under 15 mins.
Cons:
- Room could have been cleaner. The floors weren’t that clean, linens and towels weren’t the cleanest and a little dingy. One of our sinks had little flies living in it and they’d sit there all day. At least 5 flies at any given time in the bathroom.
- Our mini fridge didn’t work and we had to call over 5 times to finally have it fixed so the first 2 days we didn’t have cold drinks in the room and it was so hot outside.
- Food was not very good. The buffet food was mediocre and the specialty restaurants weren’t much better. The Gaucho steakhouse was the best meal we had of all.
- The Vacation Rentals staff scamming guests into a “90 mins presentation” was extremely annoying. Our 3-day vacation was almost ruined because of it. Be aware and decline the offer for “a nice breakfast with a presentation and welcome gift” unless you want to sit through a 3-hour sales pitch for a vacation membership.
