Great location, beautiful hot Springs not very busy during the week. Parking is free and accessible. The hot pools are very close to the habitats all around 100% trip.

Some staff was great. Some were HORRIBLE. The property is beautiful but they had horrible cleaning issues in elevators and rooms. The worst part was the extremely dangerous stuff they were doing that nearly killed my son. Cables across the water slides nearly took his head off. Ladders across other slides. Management still hasn't called to rectify anything and upper management is currently trying to hide the paper I filled out with the safety issues to tourists. STAY AWAY!

Natural thermal sauna, swim up bars, etc.. breakfast buffet was good with many options. Dinner / lunch food was okay. We ended up eating off resort the rest of the time. Baldi was an excellent stay! We stayed 7 nights. The included breakfast was very good. For lunch and dinner the hotel restaurants aren’t great but there’s sooo much local cuisine around we didn’t mind! La Fortuna is 10 minutes away super easy drive or cheap uber! Staff was amazing. Hot springs were amazing. Will definitely be back!

Great place to stay! We were here for 3 nights and loved it. Some days were busier than others due to \"one day passes\" that can be purchased by others not staying at the resort. The water slides were fun and exciting. We laughed when we read the signs that said \"not recommended for persons over 55\" hahaha. I'm 56 and my husband is 58. They are pretty exhilarating, so I then understood the recommendation. A couple of kids cried after being shot out like a rocket at the end. So, I'd be careful of the age and ability of children (and over 55's hahaha) that use them.
The resort is beautifully done with lots of organized jungle, waterfalls, hot spring pools, etc. I would say the only \"negative\" comment I have is that the buffet was not great. Drive a few minutes and hit a better restaurant in town.

Beautiful hotel. The hot springs were awesome! These were the only hot springs we visited in the area. I had two kids (13 and 16) and they loved all the pools and water slides. Yes, the water slides are fast but if you go down the correct way it's fine. I would recommend this place for families with kids. Adults only might want to stay elsewhere as there are a lot of kids at this hotel. The hotel also lets in a lot of people visiting on only a day pass. The springs never seemed crowded but it's hard to find a lounge chair if you want one.

This hotel is like a water park feel and they focus on their day pass customers. This hotel is overly priced for a poor customer service they provide for their hotel occupants. The view from the Felix room was all blocked by construction and we reported that to the staff. The staff is not trained well to handle and talk to customers. They did not explain the amenities and services available to us. You don’t have access to food being in the swim attire in the hot springs. There’s no easy service available to pay for the food or services. I would rather not pay $1100/ night for a hotel that doesn’t care for their customers and will a calm place and use these places for 3 hr pass.

Beautiful property with lush gardens & the best thermal pools we found in all of La Fortuna. For the price, you get a lot. The pools are exceptional. The location is perfect, just outside of town, but not too far. You can easily take a taxi to the center of town for under $10 dollars. The room are spacious & clean. The breakfast was varied & delicious. Food in Pyramides restaurant is inedible; please skip. Hotel is very stingy with towels. We were 3 people & only received 1 hand & face towel for all 3 of us to share. Rooms have a lot of frosted glass with no blackout shades so expect the sun to wake you up at 6 AM. Take ear plugs & eye mask if you want to sleep in because the chirping birds & light coming in will definitely wake you up early. It is a long walk form the lobby to the rooms, but there are golf carts to take you if needed. I recommend moving in taxis instead of Uber because Ubers are not regulated or inspected for safety. The hotel called an Uber for us that had broken seatbelts & door had to be opened from the outside. We noticed every time we asked for a taxi, staff tried to push for Uber because they have relatives they call to take you. Taxis felt safe & vehicles were better. Overall, pleased with our stay. Definitely recommend this property if you are seeking excellent thermal pools.

The warm mineral springs were wonderful and clean. Incredibly relaxing and soothiing. Great view of Arenal Volcano. Housecleaning staff were helpful and did kept the room so clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent and food from the restaurant and bars was excellent as well We would highly recommend a stay here

My stay at Baldi Hot Springs Hotel had both positive and disappointing aspects.
The pools are excellent and offer a genuinely hot thermal spring experience. The rooms were clean, and the balcony was spacious and pleasant. Service overall was mostly good. Breakfast was acceptable; however, the vegetarian options at the dinner buffet were quite limited. The pizza and cream of mushroom soup were enjoyable, but overall the food quality was average.
It was also surprising that the hotel does not serve alcohol, which may be relevant information for future guests.
Unfortunately, the most disappointing part of our stay involved a server named Jason at the bar in front of reception. I clearly ordered a single item: “chicken fingers with fries.” However, he assumed that the fries were an additional order and brought two extra bowls. When I pointed out the mistake, he refused to take the extra items back and attempted to pressure me into accepting them. Eventually, he said, “It is okay if you do not want to pay,” before finally removing the extra plates.
This interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment of the misunderstanding and correction would have sufficed. Guests spend a significant amount of money to travel and stay at this hotel, and respectful service should be standard.
I asked to speak with the manager but was told, somewhat reluctantly, that the manager was not available. I left a written complaint with a staff member named Jesus at reception, but

The room was nice and big, but the lighting is dark. The washroom has the most issues, the fan is too loud, no where to hang a towel, little counter space, the shower is too deep (hard to step out) and it is too narrow. The toilet paper is too high up which is not a big problem.
You can hear staff working outside all night. Hear animal scratching outside. The worst is they sell thousands of day passes, so the hot spring pools are packed.

Baldi Resort truly has so much potential, and we were very excited for our stay. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were informed that the municipality had shut down all alcohol service because of the resort’s failure to have up-to-date permits and proper licensing to serve alcohol. Considering that being able to purchase and enjoy drinks at the hot springs and pool bars is one of the main amenities people look forward to, this was a huge letdown.
What made the situation even more frustrating is that outside alcohol is not allowed, despite the resort being unable to serve any themselves due to the suspension. I asked the front desk multiple times if there was anything they could do to help with this inconvenience or offer a partial refund, and they said no. No compensation and no alternatives were offered.
Customer service overall was not the best, which I can imagine may be impacted since a lot of staff likely lost out on tips due to the alcohol shutdown. To make matters worse, the power also went out for about 3 hours during our stay, and there was no backup generator. You would really expect a resort of this size to have one, but they do not so if the power goes out, you are completely stuck.
The property itself is decent , but between the alcohol suspension caused by permit issues, the lack of customer support, and the power outage, the experience fell far short of what we expected with no resolution.

Baldi is an amazing and one of a kind hotel! The new rooms in the back of the hot springs are huge and beautiful. There’s no other place in the world like their multi-level volcanic hot springs. They are a must see while in Arenal. The spa is incredible as well!

I booked Baldi Resort expecting a luxury 5-star experience, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. First off, the Wi-Fi was completely useless. In today’s world, especially at a resort marketed as high-end, reliable internet should be a given – not a constant headache.
But the worst part? Anyone can enter the property for just $60. That means the pools and facilities are overrun with people, making it feel more like a crowded public water park than an exclusive resort. There's zero sense of privacy or comfort.
I ended up checking out early due to the chaos and poor connectivity, but when I asked for a refund because of the inconvenience, they flat-out refused. No accountability, no attempt to make things right.
Baldi Resort is falsely advertised. It’s NOT a 5-star experience – in fact, it’s not even close. Save your money and your sanity – stay somewhere else.

Baldi Resort is falsely advertised. It’s NOT a 5-star experience – in fact, it’s not even close. Save your money and your sanity – stay somewhere else.
