Perfect place to stay for the first port in France on a road trip. We had a garden room that opened into the orchard which was great for the dog and children. We sat outside in the balmy evening having a drink and it was so private. The car was parked literally outside the room and the chateau just gorgeous! We will definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic dinner which was fixed price for 3 courses and very reasonably priced. There was a wide choice of dishes and everything was beautifully presented. Highly recommend Chateau Cocove.

Service ridiculously slow and waitress ignored us, she said we had to be served by the time we came into the restaurant but everyone after us got food before us. Complained at time no one cared. There's a reason I have stayed here 3 times and hope to return many more in the future. I just love this Chateau. The building is so stately and gorgeous without being pompous. The rooms are super spacious and well decorated. And forget all that, the food in the restaurant (set menu with 4/5 choices at each course) is absolutely superb. Should have Michelin stars and extremely reasonable pricing considering!

Nice place, excellent restaurant. Room was a bit of a let down, cluttered and not very well decorated, small TV. I really don’t like baths where you have an ‘add on’ shower, I much prefer a walk in shower as they are a lot easier and more eco-friendly. So some good points let down by a tired bedroom really.

A comfortable Chateau, well modernised and with a good restaurant. It is located within attractive and substantial grounds. It is particularly convenient for the Tunnel / Ferry (20 minutes) and in addition to the Chateau hotel there is a substantial modern entertainment venue which could be particularly suitable for Anglo / French weddings / re-unions etc.

Have stayed here before (December 2023) and we were wowed by the quality of the food! Within easy reach of Calais for both the shuttle and the ferry. Rooms do vary in size slightly - but on both occasions, the bed has been comfortable and the room spotless. Would highly recommend. Staff are friendly and helpful - and the evening meal was amazing!

Hotel great- location and cleanliness. Staff friendly but inexperienced. Restaurant was a negative. Lukewarm rather tasteless food which resulted in one our party being unwell in the night. A shame really. We’d probably return to the hotel but avoid the restaurant.

A beautiful 18th Century chateau in large grounds and ample parking. We had a superior room which was large and comfortable. The staff were polite,friendly and professional, but it was occasionally hard to find someone to serve at the bar.
The breakfasts were very good and the choice was satisfactory .The dinners were excellent with a small choice for each course, but the cooking was memorable.
We would certainly return of going to that area again.

Due to its proximity to the Eurotunnel we have stayed here several times. The restaurant is excellent. However, on this occasion our room was the smallest we have had and the toilet system smelled offensively.

This was a repeat stay, it’s a lovely hotel with a very good restaurant.
One slight comment was that we had a great dinner, and wanted to go for a drink afterwards - but they had locked up the bar and this was not very late, missed business for them and a slight annoyance to us as guests.

A beautiful setting convenient for Calais. Attentive staff but poor accommodation. The room and bedding were not clean; particularly the bathroom. The bathroom was not ventilated and smelled, and the door did not close.
The restaurant served a single 38 euro menu with several choices, which was reasonable value, if a little contrived or sub-nouvelle cuisine. The wine list also offered reasonable value.
When informed about the problems with the room the senior staff gave the impression of being both well aware of the issues but had no intention of addressing them.

An excellent location 20 mins from Calais just off the Rue d' Anglaise. The rooms are a little small but the beds are large. The hotel restaurant is superb and worth the stopover alone.

The grounds were lovely. The room was beautiful. Some of the staff came across as snooty but really the only 2 things that were less than perfect was the lack of cups for the tea and coffee offered in the room and the shower had a very slick bottom and there were no handrails which did make me a little nervous.

The ideal place for a stopover before or after a Eurotunnel crossing. The chateau is in a beautiful setting, and the rooms are pleasant (although warm - this is an old building with no air-con in the bedrooms, so we were glad not to have been there in the height of the heatwave).

Loved the orchard, kittens and chicken. The room was ok, not extremely clean. The restaurant was not good. If you have any gluten or dairy intolerance, i don't advise you to have any dinners or breakfasts there. They don't care about the dairy part, they kept bringing me sauces and creams made of dairy. And the breakfast mainly consists of pastry and bread. Plus boiled eggs that you have to boil yourself.

We've been coming here for over 20 years. The food remains excellent. There has been a lot of good refurbishment and modernisation work done to the rooms and building.but it seems that each time it is sold on the personal touch diminishes. Even when it was a large chain(Best Western) the personal touch was there but now it seems understaffed and impersonal.
