The check in desk is the bar which is strange so I had to wait behind people ordering drinks to check in which was very odd. As this took around 10 minutes I missed the cut off to order any food by about 10 minutes even thought it was the same staff who checked me in who said it was too late to order food.
The room was very small I struggled to open the door enough to get in the room with my luggage. Room didn't have air conditioning and was very hot but at least the window opened wide which helped. The room was clean but the carpet was very stained and I don't know how they could clean it as its such a tight squeeze around the bed. IBIS rooms are usually very standard and dependable this was worst that most budget IBIS hotels.
The reception staff in the morning were very friendly and helpful though so at least I left on a positive note.

I’ve stopped at the hotel many times but it appears that the staff are more concerned in attracting passing customers rather than dealing with the customers of the hotel. When making requests of the staff they were extremely rude and appeared more happy serving the customers from outside the hotel. The room was small and clean however the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the shower was a mere trickle. There is no air conditioning so the only way to keep the room cool was to open the window this being in the main road was not entirely satisfactory . The breakfast selection was average, the coffee facilities were very poor and the selection of breakfast items were greatly reduced from our last visit. We will not be staying here again and are very disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay, room small but comfy bed and perfectly adequate with everything we needed, would have liked a kettle, but not the end of the world, only one disabled parking space, which wasn’t available for our stay, but enough parking available. Weekend visit for traditional pre Christmas shop denied to us last year (and almost this year with the new restrictions)

For us it's a winter hotel due to lack of air conditioning. The nearby Ibis Budget is far superior accommodation / breakfast etc but not available on hotel.com for some reason.

This is a very basic hotel. Rooms are tiny with no air con, fridge or kettle. The room was clean but overall impression of hotel was tired and needed upgrading. On the plus side, it is in a good location next the cathedral and close to the main town square. Good private parking. We did not eat in hotel but had a few drinks in the bar which was fine.

Slight confusion on checking in. But all resolved. St Omer is delightful and the hotel was warm and cosy and very adequate. The carpets and wall decor in the hotel corridors and rooms is somewhat tired and needs a redecoration, but the place is good value for money in a very interesting town. However I was going to be given a ground floor room. not wanted due to noise etc. Would stay here again.

Not all Ibis are the same. This is a good one with an excellent breakfast. Rooms basic but comfortable enough.
Second time we have stayed here. The first time we got the last room which was on the ground floor next to the bar and it was incredibly noisy until 3am.
It is the wheelchair access room so I feel very sorry for disabled people hoping to get an nice rest. st Omer is a charming town.

Nice hotel let down by building work and roadworks
Well located hotel right in the heart of town, but this means smaller rooms. First impression was awful. Drove through road closures to reach a tiny car park full of builders' vans, but managed to get a space - they are having a new restaurant area built and I had to climb through an indoor building site to get to the temporary reception, breathing in loads of cement dust as workers were cutting and drilling as I passed through. Friendly greeting, and off to my room, which was clean and comfortable. Gasping for a drink, I realised they no longer provide kettle and drink making stuff in the rooms, so went back down for a drink and was given a coffee by the receptionist.Charged 8€ for parking, but was worried if I went out in my car there would be no space when I got back, and when I left I was billed 2€ for the coffee. Didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but breakfast next morning was not bad, at least it was clean where it had been caked in cement dust the previous afternoon.Once the building work is finished it should be really nice, though. Did think it was a little overpriced for the extra you got over the Ibis Budget just down the road, which has a much larger free car park but no restaurant and is almost half the price. If I went again I'd probably return to the Ibis Budget, but for what it is, this is a good hotel suffering from temporary building and roadworks problems. Felt a price reduction should be offered during the improvements, but overall not a bad hotel.

On this trip our hotel room was not as good as previous visits.
The room was smaller, especially the hallway into the room. The lift was opposite our room so noisy with doors opening and closing and people talking who were using the lift. We were on the side of the hotel where the traffic was quite noisy

Perfect position right in the centre of St Omer, next to the beautiful cathedral and one minute walk from the main square, shops and restaurants. A small town with character, cobbled streets, a good centre for visiting the region (La Coupole and Eperlecques, both World War 2 German bomb launch facilities, both very moving, and the various World War 1 cemeteries and memorials, plus beautiful villages in Flanders)

Room was compact with a separate en-suite shower and toilet - this was also quite compact but perfectly adequate, although the shower control was a simple lever which turned left and right and easily went hot or cold if nudged.
We asked for a rubber bath mat to avoid slipping in the shower but reception said none available so caution required as no grab rail on the shower wall yet a small step to get in and out.
Breakfast was an extra charge, buffet, good variety of bread, croissants, some cereals, cold meat and boiled eggs.
Breakfast waitress in particular was very pleasant and efficient.

Comfortable room in the IBIS, good double and a single as well. Powerful and hot shower, and strong and fast Wifi signal. The hotel is very well situated just a minute or so's walk from the town square with lots of bars and restaurants.

Getting a taxi from the hotel to the local airfield on Sunday morning (for our flight home) proved to be difficult, but eventually the hotel did find someone to collect us.

If you just want somewhere clean and comfortable, The Ibis at Saint Omer is the perfect place. Free wifi. Very close to an assortment of restaurants and cafes; all within walking distance. The car park is small but we didn't have a problem parking. Charge for parking is 7.50 euros per day.

Our second visit in three months and disappointing to find the room allocation not as requested but this was changed without a problem. The room and bathroom are disappointingly not well cleaned, the towels are poor and it is a pity that twin rooms are not on the rear of the hotel. Staffing appeared to be on the thin side.

Not good for more than 2 night stay
Room very small, only enough room to walk around bed. Bashed arm on wall mounted TV trying to get to bathroom in the dark. No air con and difficult to open window to cool down at night as windows open inwards fouling the curtain. Corridors often full of dirty laundry. Really good location is the saving grace but we stayed 4 nights which was too long for such cramped conditions. Free parking can be found a short distance away around the park - if you ask at reception they will tell you how to get there. The car park is not large enough for all guests anyway so I expect they are grateful for able bodied guests to park away from the hotel.

Having never stayed in an ibis before I was surprised at the basic facilities of the room, however it was well presented, clean and the staff were very helpful.

Base for Dunkirk Battlefield Tour
Hotel is in a great location a short walk from the main square. Access to hotel car park is through narrow gateway with high kerb that nearly took my sump off! Only 20 spaces and could only get in 1 night out of 3. Hotel facilities are ok, small bar and restaurant which was only used for breakfast (continental only) with a good choice of breads, pastries, meats, cheese & fruit. Rooms clean & reasonably modern but very small. I had single occupancy. It would be very cramped for a couple. Overall a good choice for a night or two but a little overpriced for the facilities and space.

Good for a stop on the way to Calais for the ferry. Typical ibis hotel in a central position close to the cathedral, bars and restaurants Car parking is good and secure but limited number of spaces. A small but clean room, can't comment on the breakfast or food as I didn't eat at the hotel.

Overnight in St Omer
We were staying overnight on our way back to UK. For that it is fine. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The room was a little cramped. There is not much room if you have a lott of luggage, but fine for 1 night. I am always pleased to see a secure carpark when going to and fro as you can leave stuff in the car and just take an overnight bag into the hotel.
The bathroom was OK as well. There was only a small bath towel each, but the staff gave us an additional towel without difficulty.
We did not eat in the restaurant as we arrived late and left early

Second time we've stayed here and weren't disappointed. Clean , basic rooms. Right in the heart of the town. Close to all the bars and restaurants. Right next door to the stunning cathedral. Only negative no tea or coffee making facilities in room. However quick trip down to bar and staff more than happy to provide. If you're looking for a basic , clean base then you can't go wrong booking a room

Quick stop in St Omer
stopover for one night but pleasant hotel with friendly staff in centre of town - plenty of local restaurants and street bars in Place Foch. Room was very compact but OK for one night. Good shopping at Auchan and Carrefour on the outskirts.

Quality Hotel great for overnight stay near Calais
This was an overnight stay to a hotel used previously in a convenient historic setting and only 30 miles from the Calais car ferry terminal.
There is a good secure car park available at extra cost very useful for leaving the car loaded and just using an overnight bag for an easy start.

This is an excellent base to explore the town itself, car park is limited and relatively expensive. If arriving on a Friday night like I did after 6 pm there is no charge to park on the street for the whole weekend

Ibis is like - if McDonalds did hotels...
Overall, generally pleased with hotel as you pretty much know what to expect with Ibis although room was very small and much more expensive than Boulogne where we stayed 2nd night. Also, breakfast room sadly lacking in cutlery and had to eat boiled egg with desert spoons and then ask for milk and bread as both had ran out. Breakfast assistant surly.
