Great hotel, spacious, friendly and welcoming staff, I had a pleasant stay. One remark, the noise isolation is not great so you feel any doors rattle outside, which is quite loud. But I had a great time and appreciate the stuff. Thank you.

Genoa visit!!

We spent one night at the property, this was clean and spacious, this is very centric to the main attractions in Genoa.
The only negative point is at night, the place is surrounded by tramps which makes the place uncomfortable.

Great location and large room. Check in was good and receptionists was gave plenty of infabout the city.

Breakfast was partial buffet and partial order service. The logic of having to order fruit salad and cheese + ham was lost on me. Waited 15 minutes to learn that the order had been lost and than another 10 minutes to receive a coffee and small plate of ham. However, no bread or croissant available on buffet when this was served! Suggest that changes need to be made

Tea/coffee supplies,not topped up,daily.

Very friendly staff. It’s an old building but that is part of been in Genova. The rooms are large. There is a/c unit in the room but because of the rooms are so large it does not keep the room cool. They need more air circulation like ceiling fans. The hallways felt hot coming in and out of the room. We had breakfast one morning it was okay. Again dining room was warm no ventilation.

There is NOT parking at this hotel. The main reason I booked this hotel is because they indicated they have parking. Once we passed the non refundable window I received a message stating that parking is offered off site at a public parking garage at a discount to our customers and that they can not guarantee a parking spot. The Parking garage was close by, but we had to wait over an hour in order for a spot to open up. Other then the parking issue, the accommodation was basic and clean, Bed was extremely hard, you are off of the main road and can hear the road. The location was good to walk to shops and restaurants. It did take about 20 minutes to get to the Genoa airport the next morning.

We had a wonderful stay July 2024. Claudia was amazing with her recommendations for activities and restaurant suggestions. We ended up leaving a day early due to last minute Taylor Swift tickets, but my teenage daughter and I would recommend this hotel highly.

Beautiful property in a well maintained building. The hallways can get pretty noisy and the bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. Ac worked well and tv had plenty of channels. The only other downside was the younger man at reception with curly dark hair. He was so cold to us and i felt like us just being there was an inconvenient for him.

My stay at this hotel was disappointing. When I arrived the front desk staff did not know how to check us in. It turned out that the person at the desk was literally a server from the restaurant. The bathroom in my room was configured very strangely with no mirror above the sink and very poor lighting. The air conditioning unit and bed were positioned so that the cold air blew directly onto the bed and was very uncomfortable. This property has a lot of potential, but they really need to get their act together.

Every step of the way the staff here were great. Most days we had a gentleman Ford help us at breakfast and to advise on best places to go. His jovial attitude somehow stayed in tact while he actually ran around to help guests. Major thanks for everything Ford. You made our time in Genova better.
As for the property itself, rooms were well appointed and spacious and very clean. Best housekeeping we’ve had yet in italy.

In fact on our last day they were unable to reach a cab by phone (no one answered) so the man at the front desk walked around the corner and ordered a cab in person for us. Outstanding service!

Bad bad area of town. Never felt safe inside or outside this hotel! The area near the main train station looks nice and has nice hotels. My phone was stolen. The sketchy people outside the hotel are stalking the tourist. This hotel entrance is in the middle of a McDonalds! All the shops near this hotel are gross filled full of junk from middle eastern people. Not a true Italian vacation experience at all! Just gross unsafe area! Beds are hard, pillows are flat, Lobby is in the kitchen, noisy starting at 6am when they start breakfast. Ask for new room but they said no. Could not sleep for 3 days! Not a 4 star hotel in US standards at all. More like a 3. 2 wonderful staff. Day front desk lady and night front desk man. Very helpful when my phone was stolen. Rest of staff does not dress appropriately junky street close. Would not stay here ever again. If I have to come back to Genoa and stay there for another cruise I will only stay near the train station. In one of those nice hotels. Don’t let the fact that this is by the aquarium fool u. Defiantly not kid friendly area. Pass on this hotel if you care about your safety!

We didn’t enjoy our night at de ville. The bed and pillow ware very uncomfortable it was hard to fall asleep. Moreover, we had stairs in the room and it was scary to use them. Feels like it is about to detach from the wall in any second. It is moving and doing a strange noise while climbing up and down. Also the area is not pleasant.

The hotel is located right next to Genoa port and the aquarium . This can be problematic if you arrive by car since it's sometimes difficult to park for unloading near the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with unique decoration and style.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom but a bit dark with a small window. Breakfast costs 12 euro for adults (half for kids), and it's very high quality where you can order multiple items from a menu in addition to the buffet.

Great for family travel

One of the only hotels I could find with 2 beds. This was a beautiful room with 2 floors and 2 bathrooms and a spiral staircase. Staff was friendly and efficient and gave us lots of information about the surrounding area, places to eat and visit. Only stayed 1 night before a cruise but it was memorable. Right across from the waterfront where all the action is. Perfect for family travel.

The property is convenient to the Marina and the old town of Genoa. The roads to get to the hotel are difficult to navigate and parking isn't the most conveninet. Overall, the hotel was nice. However, I paid for a water view, which we got after you looked across the elevated highway.

This is a great and beautiful hotel in the inside. The building is fromthe year 1677 and it has been remodeled. The room was huge with 16 foot ceiling. I have nothing negative about the hotel. The location is old town Genoa and it did not feel safe. Near a metro station and the main train station.

Perfect location to stay in the Old town area of Genoa. It's right in the middle of the area - tons of places to dine and shop in. A special acknowledgment to Jacamo - he went way out of his way to assist us with printing, scanning, and sending someone some information, thank you Jacamo! Also to note, everyone at the hotel that we came in contact with was super nice and professional. The room had the nicest shower we had on this trip, but make sure climbing stairs is not an issue as the rooms have stairs and railings to hold onto! We'd stay here again!

The parking is a LIE.

The only reason we booked this hotel is because it claimed that it had parking. In actual fact, there is no parking other than a nearby public parking lot. To get access to this lot, you need to figure out where to temporarily leave your car (there is no space on the street, you will have to park illegally), go upstairs to the reception to get the keycard, park your car, and then come back to complete the registration.

Then, when it's time to leave, you have to pay for parking at the reception, get your car out of the public parking, go back to the reception (remember the part about parking illegally on the street), drop off the key card, then you are finally free to go.

The rooms were clean but the overall feeling was that they spent a bunch of money fixing this place up, but cheapened out on certain things. For example, the lights are all cheap blue LED/fluorescent bulbs that make you feel like you're sleeping in a factory dorm in a 3rd world country.

Enjoyed Italy but not the hotel bed

The Hotel is in a good location, parking was expensive even with the discount 18.00 euros a day.
Our bed was like sleeping on a rock and the pillows were the same, even when they gave us memory foam pillows after we told them, it felt like the memory had been taken out of them. So both of us had little sleep.
We could not sit on the couch and watch sky tv the hotel only put it in the bedroom.
For us that was not good. We spent most of the day and night out and about.
The staff in the front desk were very nice, but one lady whom worked in the dinning room only came across as unfriendly, she never smiled and when you asked a question she simply said she didn’t know.
The hotel was clean there was no storage in the bathroom and we paid for a sea view but really could only see a very busy road, which was noisy all day and night.
If I was too go back I would choose a different four (4) star hotel this felt more like 3.
Not worth all the money spent to stay there.

The hotel is beautiful! The rooms are spacious, well appointed (the white marble throughout is gorgeous!! ) and clean, my for us- the air conditioning works well! We loved the spiral staircase in our room that led to a second bed/tv. The staff was attentive and friendly. Very nice hotel!

The location has good and bad news. The good, is walking distance to the main historic landmarks, and nearby good restaurants. The bad, the building was not built as a hotel, so it has a lot of stairs and the room was very small. The smell of the whole town was kind of dirty. A los of people because Big cruises arrive to Genova.

Beautiful, clean rooms with a modern design. Comfortable beds and linens. Great views of the waterfront. Neighborhood is good, steps away from the Porto Antico and good food in the area. The entrance is in a long colonnade that spans most of the district. Lots of sights to see there, but can feel sketchy after dark.

Hotel in palazzina d'epoca in zono centrale (proprio davanti all'Acquario). Camere molto ampie anche se un po' essenziali (si potrebbero rinnovare i mobili) e dai colori un po' spenti (marrone, tortora, grigio). Il bagno è davvero grande con doppio lavabo e comodo box doccia.
In camera è presente il minibar e il necessario per prepararsi caffè istantaneo e tisane.
Non ho provato la colazione, quindi non la posso valutare...

Sehr freundliches professionelles Personal, zurückhaltend und zuvorkommend zugleich. Entsprachen unseren Anfragen ohne Probleme. Das Restaurant ist gediegen, das Frühstück sehr lecker (teilweise als Buffet angerichtetes süßes Buffet, Herzhaftes und Getränke a la Carte ohne Aufpreis). Das Hotel liegt zentral am Hafen sowie fußläufig zur Altstadt. Die unmittelbare Umgebung ist allerdings nicht so schön wie das Hotel selbst. Das einzige, was uns bei unserem Aufenthalt gestört hat, was das erlaubte Rauchen im fensterlosen Billardzimmer. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Kurzaufenthalt.

Super schönes Zimmer (Luxury-Maisonette), alles sehr sauber. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Hotel ist super gelegen. Trotz Hauptstrasse und Hafen sehr ruhig im Zimmer. Personal war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Gerne wieder!
