Ive stayed at both Vila Gale Hotels in Algarve. The one in Albufeira this year just a few days ago and the one in Guia of Algarve.

The property looks dated and it needs some upgrades, the smell of sewage is not pleasant they have to fix this problem. The breakfast was good, nothing special but ok.
We had the best view of the ocean from our room on the 8th floor, it makes sense to pay extra for this view.
The best thing about this hotel was the staff, especially at the front desk. Andrew and his crew was the best, very helpful!

We had a very nice stay. I would say that breakfast was very busy and staff had a hard time keeping up with the demand. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to put more water st the buffet, which disappeared in five minutes. A fountain would make more sense rather than 4 bottles of water for the crowds! Other than that nice property and we loved the pool. Great proximity to beach and to the corniche.

Excellent. I would stay here again despite the scary/funny humongous mural of Meat Loaf (as he appeared in the 1970s) dominating the big wall above the beds. I had to use a false backdrop for my Zoom calls because his head appeared as large as mine. The location is excellent, the staff friendly, and the included breakfast was great. They have live music in their bar and the performer was fantastic. He even did Meat Loaf for us, which everybody thought hilarious after insisting to come up and see my room. I would stay here again.

Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful . Any issues dealt with speedily and professionally. The Italian brunch was excellent and good value , high quality food . The pool area was nice and good food available with drinks on the pool terrace . I would recommend this hotel for value and service .

I really enjoyed the Villa Galé Estoril. It is well located and close to everything you would need within the area. I felt very safe when walking at night. It is quiet area with many restaurants options. I love the themed rooms. It takes you back in time. The pool area is lovely. I did not use the pool on this trip. The breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. Check in and out was quick without any issues. I would stay here again or at any other locations. I highly recommend it.

Excellent staff (esp. the breakfast restaurant)

Although the fittings of the room is a little bit outdated, it was still offering comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was wonderful in terms of quality and variety. The staff (especially “Ruben”) in the restaurant were also excellent expressing warm concern to us when our last day my wife couldn’t come to have the breakfast.

The property is dated, an 80s throwback. It needs complete updating and re-design for a 4-star hotel. There is a nightclub across the road pumping out music until late towards the weekend, a tired basement gym, limited sun loungers, no actual balconies (just bay windows) and basic restaurants / bar. It is clean, the rooms are a decent size and the beds comfortable but I expect this from simpler, cheaper establishments.

This property has the best views to the pool and ocean. Everything was great. Check in was a breeze. Person at check in was such a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and checked us in super fast. Even checked us in early. Every request that was asked of the staff was taken care of very promptly. Breakfast was delicious. Check out was a breeze. All of the staff was very friendly. Hotel is very clean. Never had a problem with noise and my room was by the elevator. If I had to say one negative thing is that room service and bar service at the pool was a bit slow. But, I can't really complain because I know most hotels and restaurants all over the world are understaffed for some reason. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great location. Great staff. A lovely room with good air con. The food was good, at times great, other times not as good but this is a personal preference. Good gym, small but functional. Pool is not massive but is a good depth where you can stand all the way from one end to the other. Lovely Brazilian staff working in the hotel. The bald manager running the restaurant was exceptional.

The breakfast buffet every morning was so great to look forward to. The staff was very friendly. I love the rooms and the location. The pool was fantastic. They even had music and an employee leading water aerobics. There's plenty around. We enjoyed a little cafe just by called Picadilly Circus. The beach and train were right there! There was also a rental car place across the street that was handy.

The hotel claimed to have a fully accessible room. However the room provided was poorly laid out for a wheelchair user and a shower chair wasnt initially provided. The swimming pool area could not be accessed by a wheelchair user - it was necessary to climb 2 floors of steps. The elevators in the main hotel were very small with little space for a wheelchair user.

The area around the hotel was generally unsuitable for a wheelchair user. High curbs, steep incline ramps and non functioning elevators.

Summary of our stay in Cascais

We stayed 4 nights--1 night before and 3 nights as part of a 14 day guided tour of Portugal. The hotel and staff were outstanding. The rooms are typical European being a little small with few electrical receptacles so bring an extension cord. Carla at the Front Desk was wonderful. She helped us with so much valuable information. She made our stay in Cascais! We enjoyed the personality of the bartender. He was always smiling. Rodrigo the manager was also very helpful.

We just visited last week, stayed for 1 week and we liked it a lot, very helpful staff, great breakfast, excellent location (opposite train/ Bus station) nice clean beach just across the street and great walk to Cascais or (2 stations with train, 30 min train to Lisbon.) rooms are large enough for 3 adults, not fancy but clean bathroom. definitive would go back there.

The rooms are dated and have mold everywhere. If you are allergic to mold do not stay in this hotel. I have pictures of all the mold in the bathrooms and floors. Most rooms are small and overcharged.

My stay was next to the elevator with a lot of noise. Also doors are not working and they take more than 24 hours to fix anything (even to install new bateries) and the costumer is always wrong no matter how right to costumer may be.

Very old red carpets in most rooms with bed smell.

Air conditioner had a brocken piece and wind would go to our faces only.
Electrical outlets did not work and only 50% of light sources worked.

Please do not stay in this hotel if you want to have a good time during your vacation

Nice hotel, excellent location

The hotel is located very close to the beach, the railway station, with trains to Lisbon every 20 mins, and the casino. The spa is very good the jacuzzi and wet room included, with reasonable price massages and treatments. The masa fina restaurant serves nice Italian food. The decor is perhaps a little tired, but the hotel is clean. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. If I was to visit the area again I would definitely stay here.

nice hotel BUT needs more sun shades and sun beds by the pool ( one shade to two beds ). the bar man disappeared for ten minutes when returning didn't say sorry just poured our drinks and stood watching his phone , didn't even say thank you.

Excellent location close to Estoril station, so very easy to get to from Lisbon. The hotel needs a bit of an upgrade, but it was clean, quite, comfortable and the rooms were a good size. We used it as a base to explore the area. It’s a beautiful 15min walk along the seafront to Cascais. Excellent restaurants and bars all along the coast.

Hotel was well situated for beach, transport to Lisbon and Sintra. Staff very helpful for information for travelling to Lisbon etc. Breakfast was good. All was well except for noise in rooms - 4 of my 7 nights I was disturbed by noise of a disco nearby which went on till 5am. This was reported to staff. They were aware of this issue and other clients had complained but nothing changed. The road outside was noisy too especially with motorbikes.This was a pity as otherwise the Hotel was good. Anyone considering booking this hotel should consider asking for a room away from front ( no need for a sea view ). It may be quieter.

Hotel and staff very good, in excellent position for train all the way to Lisbon and buses e.g to Sintra. Local beach across the road had good facilities. We had fantastic seaview across to Cascais. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
However, there was noisy music from across the road until 5 am and steep stairs to walk up to rooftop swimming pool which may be off putting.

Very tired, drastically in need of updating.

the first room we were allocated (2nd floor) was small, dark and dingy with a view of a wall. For an additional 25 Euro per night we were upgraded to a bigger room with a great view but still in need of serious modernising.
The bar area is very dark and unwelcoming even though the staff are very friendly and helpful, again, this area needs updating.

The new pizza restaurant adjoining the lobby shows what can be achieved, light and airy and very up to date.

All in all very disappointed with the hotel.
An additional 2.5 Euros per day for a \"key and lock\" for the room safe completed the perfect check-in.

Hotel Group has 2 Hotels with same name in same Street but 3 km apart one being in Cascais [nice Resort]the other was in ESTORIL.[very quiet Lcation]It even confused the Taxi driver.However the Hotel in Estoril was OK since it was located close to public transport for CASCAIS and other destinations.TAKE CARE WHEN BOOKING-ONE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN CASCAIS THE OTHER IN ESTORIL.

Lovely hotel close to train station

We spent 6 nights at the hotel and it was a lovely experience. It is in a safe neighborhood, close to the train station and close to restaurants. The breakfast buffet was very good with a large selection of hot and cold items. We chose not to have the dinner buffet, because the price was high. We chose to eat at a Portuguese cafe/restaurant across from the station.
Our room had a partial view of the beach and the pool, which was wonderful, the room was big and comfortable and lots of closet space. We used the pool out of all the amenities.
The room/bathroom was clean and all common areas was very clean and very well maintained.
The elevators are small and squeezes 5 to 6 people at a time, if you have luggage be ready to wait for an empty elevator. Also, the wall don't seem to be sound proof, so don't be loud.
The staff are friendly, like most Portuguese people are. There is also a bus station across from the hotel, which takes you to several tourist attractions, like Sintra, Cascais and the Cascais Mall.
I would highly recommend this hotel as we had a wonderful time there.

I took a trip from a Conference in Lisbon, it was lovely place to relax. I stayed outside of holiday season and definitely would go back at the same time.

Nice hotel very centrally located

The hotel is across the road to the train station and bus terminal making travelling to Lisbon and the surrounding areas very easy. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Whilst there are only balconies on the top floor the french doors when opened give the impression of sitting on a balcony so it wasn't a problem. The hotel staff are brilliant especially the reception staff. Very helpful and very friendly. Nothing seems too much trouble. The buffet breakfast had good choices both hot and cold and was replenished constantly by the waiters and waitresses. The hotel has its own vineyard therefore the wines sold were very good. The cheapest came in at €2.95 a bottle and the special reserve at€4.70!!! A real bargain. Would I stay here again? Yes definitely!

I paid extra for a sea view, on Thursday and Saturday a club on the beach 500m away, had a rave from 2300 to 0600hrs! The bass and volume was so high I could not block the noise. Little sleep those two night!
