The hotel is new and clean inside. The location is great too - close to nice restaurants, stores, and not far from Louisville. The hotel’s staff are also friendly. But the hotel is poorly managed. There’s a construction in the middle of the lobby, so you can’t use it. For two days that I was there, the juice machine was not working during breakfasts. There’s nothing to drink except milk and coffee. They didn’t even put out bottles with water tor us to drink. I was told to drink water from a fountain around the corner. The breakfast that they serve is average at best. The pool was “closed for maintenance” the entire time too. There was no soap or toilet paper in the bathroom downstairs.

Pid when I reserved through Hotels.com. At check in, front desk clerk took my cr card (for incidentals, I assumed) but, when I checked my account in the room, I saw she billed me two more times, each over $100!!! I went right back down there and she told me she was new and in training and blah, blah, blah. Am still waiting to see if those charges are gone Monday or Tuesday. Cr card dispute staff is aware. Also first room, tv did not come/stay on. She moved us down the hall where the tv DID come on but if you chose something to watch, it would \"buffer\" and tell us to \"please wait\". And wait, and wait. Couch was stained (West Elm!) and bathroom mirror had been left badly streaked. Beds and pillows were comfy, though, and room was spacious.

Upon check in I was assigned a double room. That is not what I booked. Brought that to their attention and I was told they were sold out of king rooms.
Next we get to our room to find trash on the floor. Obviously the maids didn’t clean very good.
Next thing the door with a lock to get in the pool area is broken so no swimming. Next our shower containers were all out of bath stuff… soap, shampoo and conditioner. Theirs is mounted on the wall in the shower!
I brought all of this to their attention and o ly got I’m sorry. I would never stay there again or

The property is fine. Probably the best options for the area. I would have expected it to be in better condition- the carpets are stained, there was debris on the couch, and the bathrooms floor were super sticky. We had a group of 4 rooms so our room condition was not an anomaly. But again, I don’t think you can do much better in Elizabethtown.

Very CLEAN but lacked comfort. Great staff!

Hotel appeared to be newer and was very clean which was great. The room was somewhat odd as the TV was mounted in a place hard to see from both beds and not that great from the couch either. The bathroom door has a large frosted glass in it so it feels as if your being watched the whole time and it is right by the beds so if you go to the bathroom in the night it lights up the whole room. Also at the desk there is a sliding glass door and any little movement makes it rattle, which when you have kids is all the time. There is a very large closet which is nice if you need it but it seems like a lot of wasted space for the most part unless you would be staying for an extended time otherwise quite useless. The sofa did have a pullout bed under it which was much more comfortable than a sofa bed which was great for our teen. The pool is extremely small (if someone else is using the pool it would seem awkward, like a large hot tub size) and had a very bad smell so needless to say we did not use it like we were hoping to, quite disappointing. Breakfast was OK just microwavable sandwiches and cereal. Also the train is somewhat loud but not terrible. Overall the hotel was very clean and that is always our number 1 priority for any hotel, but it just feels like they are trying to be too modern and not user friendly and lacked comfort. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Newer hotel

This is a newer Springhill suites. The lobby in room was spacious and clean. The only negatives I have are the barn style bathroom door with etched glass was loud to open and if there’s more than one person and someone has to go in to the bathroom in the middle of the night the light brightens up the whole room. There are no coffee or tea in the lobby after breakfast. Coffee and tea should be served until at least the checkout time.

Definitely could have been better.

There was no internet for our seven day stay. They said their router had been broke for two weeks. It shouldn’t take that long to fix the internet. Our room wasn’t fully stocked before we got there. None of the trash cans were ready with their liners. Our comforter and the one they came to replace it with had stains. There was something brown on the floor that could resemble either part of a chocolate bar or something else, I’ll let you guess what. Our AC had a hard time staying on, so it would get hot at night. The shower door would push past the closing point, so then you’d either be stuck in the shower or have to push on the door feeling like you might break it. Just not at all what we expected from a Marriott hotel.
