My primary concern for this property was that it is limited in terms of amenities, and it was not cleaned very well. My niece pointed out that the rooms on the site looked good. But, the rooms we were given were the least amenable. My bathroom attached to my room was not cleaned. From the standpoint of a hotel in the middle of Seminyak, it was beautiful. But that’s about it.

There’s nothing about this place to recommend sorry
Stayed in the 2 bed villa which is their best apparently but the 2 rooms they aren’t even attached but seperate stairs outside to reach second floor. Amenities are old and broken , no hot water down stairs shower has mouldy curtain and floor. Pond in outside area is a mosquito paradise and can’t sit out there with being attacked.
Internet is spotty and didn’t work in our room .
Moved out after first night to better hotel .

Well, the first thing to consider about this hotel is it one of the few remaining Traditional Balinese style hotels. This will mean that there are some things that are not to everyone's liking. We on the other hand loved it, comfortable, well priced and placed, great staff and beautiful grounds.
Other Guests we met varied from 10yr veterans who used this place every visit to first timers like us. Nobody had a bad word to say and were more than happy, greeting each day with healthy smiles and appetites'.
Would I stay here again, the answer is yes, now I know my way around better, but I would also like to be closer to my family there, so it is a hard trade off.
There are many higher rated hotels in Bali, I guess it depends on what you want to do when you are there. We used this as a home plate for going out and return to, but later my wife and her son went off for three days Island hopping and I just enjoyed the peace and quiet, a swim. a drink and whatever else I felt like doing.
I did mention quiet in my list of choices, that is subjective. Balinese youth like to have loud exhaust on their bikes and there would be particular times you might hear them, so noise can be something else. The other type of quiet is serenity in a beautiful garden, lounging or floating in the pool. You can tune out the sounds of the bikes.
This was my first trip to Bali, it is also the first time I have had a holiday being able to physically and mentally rest since I joined the Army in 1981.

It needs a lot of love. For all the options that you can found in that section of Bali, I think you can find something better for the price and something way better for some extra dollars. It feels dirty, sheets and towels in bad condition and not exactly giving the impression of clean. We like the pool area.

One of the last truly Balinese Hotel.Friendly staff and a good breakfast .Rooms are spacious and lovely. Great Aircon, tv has 60 channels, good fridge and kettle. Bathroom needs updating. Especially the shower, the whole floor gets flooded, needs silicone.

After a terrible one night stay at another hotel we moved to Puri Dewa Bharata what a difference the staff were friendly and helpful and this hotel was clean. I have stayed here before and I would highly recommend it. I’ll be staying there again when I go back to Bali

We like the cleanliness of the hotel, a friendly staff, and the old true Balinese style feeling. The location is also ideal for our needs when we visit Seminyak. The only downfall is that it's located on a a section of 66 that is now one way, so this makes it a little confusing for drivers. However, the price for value is so good, we do not mind the one way road. It actually makes it nice for walking (less traffic and safer).

Given a horrible room the first night, the balcony faced a brick wall so insisted on moving to 2nd room, aircon didnt work and were nearly choked with mosi spry etc.
next day when we insisted we wouldnt stay we suddenly were given the room in the pics that we had booked. Photos really do make it look better than it is.
It's tired and needs updating , but once you get used to your lot, it was ok
Staff on whole were all great, helpful and friendly apart from one guy at the pool, rude and miserable and unhelpful.
Pool small compared to how big it looks in the pic...only a few beds and 2 broken ones, need to be up early if you want to stay there and sunbathe. Towels on the bed/reserving thing happening.
Altogether an ok stay

Just keep in mind that everything here is a little older but you cannot beat the price for what you are getting. There are mosquitos and all sorts of bugs NO MATTER where you stay. Get some repellant incense on amazon before your trip to Bali. You will need them anywhere.

This is a really well situated traditional style place to stay. The buildings are lovely and the frangipani was gorgeous. The beds could definitely do with a topper or new mattress. The rooms were a good size and clean but needed the odd thing sorted like leaky shower etc but overall good. I always had an omelette for breakfast which was nice BUT there was one younger guy serving who was basically bad tempered which really made our party of 5 uncomfortable at certain points of our 5 day stay. One bad apple in a barrel of good apples however. If the owners upgraded the rooms slightly I would come back.

The location is excellent and that’s it! It was dirty and I mean filthy ! Open sewer in the bathroom meant all you could smell was excrement, mosquitos came up said drain and the room was full of them! We had to buy a lot of things to clear up mosquitos. All they did was change towels and asked every day if we wanted our room cleaned, they are terribly lazy! The breakfast was so bad , we ate out every day! When we complained , as they had given us (a couple) two single beds, we were told that we could have an upgrade which we got to a slightly cleaner room! Cleaners do not clean, everything is so dirty! We ended up booking another hotel for the last few of our 11 nights because we just wanted to feel clean and not have stomach issues from the constant smell (I went to the doctor twice) the water in the shower is greasy and you do feel clean whatsoever. Hated it, ruined our stay in Bali

Disliked - Reviews has said breakfast was awesome, we found it rather disappointing unfortunate as it was a reason for picking the place, fuel up before a day out exploring.

Emphasis on BUDGET hotel

This hotel is beautiful from the outside, but seriously needs some cleaning and renovating in the rooms. My A/C barely worked, the hot water from the showers would not turn off once it finally got hot (after about 5 minutes), and the bathtub was so dirty and calcified over I was too grossed out not to wear flip flops during my shower. There were also lines of ants around the sink area and the bathroom had mold/mildew throughout. Overall was not very happy with my stay.

I stayed at Puri Dewa Bharata for two nights on 9 and 10 January 2019. What impressed me most is the staff. They were kind, helpful, and honest.
I left my laptop accidently when I checked out and after a couple of days just realised it. The hotel staff tried to contact my husband's phone to notify him but he did not answered theit calls. When I realised that I left my laptop we tried to contact the hotel.Thank God, the staff kept the laptop at a safe place until we picked it up. We are grateful for the staff's honesty coz the laptop is so important for me.

Other features that we appreciated of the hotel is the large rooms and spaces, the strategic convenient location, and the delicious complete breakfast buffet. Each morning we cant wait to enjoy the breakfast. It also has a beautiful swimming pool.

Older, traditional style hotel which we loved. Nice pool. About 1.2km walk to \"Double 6\" Beach. Stayed in family villa. Rooms were comfortable but a little grubby - especially the bathrooms which were not well ventilated and smelled a bit musty. Hotel staff generally were great but onsite restaurant was not up to scratch. Complimentary buffet breakfast was tasty but don't bother eating there for lunch or dinner. Much better food options down the road.

We had 9 nights here and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is like an oasis in the middle of a busy busy road! The gardens are delightful and we swam a lot in the pool. I’d pay a little more to stay here if they used the extra to attend to some small maintenance issues and upgraded the bathroom facilities. The room sizes in the villa size are generous for a family and it worked very well with our two teenagers.

Room we had was a deluxe 260, comfy but no where near what pictures shown.
After a few emails even asked if there was an upgrade we could pay but with reply of you are in the best room we left it. Room 260 was on ground level but right next to there maintenace/housekeeping area which you constanly heard there 2ways.
Breakfast not that great conpared to many that was around us so i would not add breakfast waste of money.
Reception staff especially the night staff are amazing :)

Small and Cosy, Traditional Bali style Hotel

Lovely atmosphere in the Hotel, spacious rooms, some seem to have been renovated. The first room I was given was in a dark area, it was no problem to change rooms when I asked.
Villas looked nice, quieter as towards the back of the Hotel area
No Hairdryer in room, but one was available to borrow, just a little travel one.
Upstairs room much brighter and had a nice balcony, however the noise from the busy road outside seemed louder upstairs, motorbikes especially.
Pool area nice and tropical, though not a huge area, with just enough lounges for when people wanted them.
Rooms well cleaned and serviced daily, just one set of Toiletries given, which was fine .
Breakfast pleasant, just enough choice, however some more variety would have been welcome. Same fruit every day, only 2 sugary cereals, basic bread and pastries.
Egg station good, nice omlettes, or eggs cooked as liked.

Not ideal, but the place is nice and I can forgive such things for the charm of traditional hotels. The pool is clean, as are the rooms. Breakfast is good enough, though not spectacular. There was a hick-up with my booking, but that was more a problem with the booking intermediary, rather than the hotel itself. Still, I got a an upgrade. I had previously read a review by another traveler about their inability to access the internet in the room. I had the same problem. Looks like it is an ongoing issue - the hotel needs to address it. Also, I had to ask for a mozzie coil & get someone to light it for me - each night. Surely this can be easily remedied.

We booked 2 bedroom Family Villa but was given 2 bedroom separate villas...we have 2 girls aged 9 & 14. and didn't feel safe them in separate villa......when we asked they said that's what they have....but when I checked :Expedia\" website they were still selling 2 b/room family villa.....I went n asked them again and after 2 days they gave us the family Vila.....where the bathroom was dirty and rooms full of mosquitoes.....we complained next day and they cleaned it....no so impressed....

if you like rats in your room

having to change 3 times due to condition of rooms given,
third room had a problem with a rat who thought it was his private kitchen.
could hear paper crackling and noise all night, when we finally got
him out and put a towel in under the door, he still managed to get in.
Staff are lovely, quaint old hotel, but needs painting and some money
spent on it. From what I heard from staff the owners are tight fisted and
will not put any money into it. Will not be back there.

Nice rooms, small establishment. Great pool and beautiful gardens. Kitchen/restaurant adequate but loads of good eating places close by and their food was ok anyway. Beach only a 15 minute easy walk. We have stayed in many different places in Bali over the years and this place was as good as any for a Balinese establishment.

My boyfriend booked the hotel on last minute and on arrival had expected
( for the money) a more modern room ( like Nusa Dua hotels).
This property is obviously old Bali style which I have no problem with and I was very happy apart from the wet floor in the bathroom. The silicone is worn away so water is running down the side of the bath, into where I dont know and onto slippery, wet and cold stone floor. Lovely staff, easy access to everywhere, not a fan of Seminak (younger clientele) but hotel was fine for our quick three days.

We booked it well advance for our honey moon we did contact with the hotel manager regarding our honey moon and a few requirement he did reply very politely promising fruit flower nice clean room, well when we arrived stinky bathroom no toilet paper and the room full of mosquitos nothing else, I did complain at the reception but they said that is your room and they looking into it tomorrow... Not happy at all after that we have some stomach issue due to breakfast in the hotel we just get depressed honeymoon just get ruined, ohh and I always need to ask for toilet paper all the time... Not happy

No bells & whistles if that's what you want

This hotel is typical of the original Bali hotels i.e. at the start of the boom. Beautiful old Balinese structures in a lush green environment are a pleasant memory of a bygone era. Our double room was furnished with all the typical basics but seemed huge as did the bathroom. However, as is the norm in these older type rooms, there was a lack of spare power points and poor lighting for application of make-up. No big issue but surely they've had enough complaints over the years to suggest a few mods would be in order. The room was clean and kept that way for the duration of our stay. The footpaths and abundant gardens were very well-maintained as was the swimming pool area. We only took breakfast at the restaurant once (due to the abundance of food outlets in close proximity) and the food was all quite fresh albeit typically Bali-boring. Given the majority of guests were Westerners, thought should be given to providing what Westerners enjoy for breakfast. I, for one, don't eat chicken porridge or bony little tasteless ikan (fish) dishes with nasi for my breakfast. Providing an 'egg station' serving up unseasoned flavourless omelettes seem to be a measure of whether the hotels cater for non-Indonesians adequately. Actually this is right across Indonesia so I shouldn't single Bali out. One day some brash young 'egg station attendant' will add a few spices and grated cheese to his/her omelettes and become an overnight culinary sensation.
