The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous! The room was beautiful and in great conditions but the A/C was not working. The room was hot like a sauna, causing bad sleeping time. They provided a fan for the second night and that helped a little but it was still uncomfortable to be sweating while sleeping. The location of the hotel was great. Walking distance from the main touristic attractions (if you like to walk).

Todo bien con el lugar, lo esperado de un 3 estrellas, estuve en un cuarto sencillo y era eso, sencillo sin más pero limpio. El único problema constante es que el elevador se descompuso 3 veces durante los pocos días, incluso un fue duro con gente dentro más de una hora, deberían buscar una solución definitiva para eso.

Arrived at property but the room was not available— has to wait one hour, even though I had booked the night before. I did message them to confirm it was a late arrival but they didn’t claim to use the Expedia messaging. The room was okay, but not private at all — the windows were joined and so you could hear everything between rooms.

Well located . Restaurant facing the park is good. 2/3 blocks from La Reforma and the city tours . However ; the small roof top is ok but the water of the pool is freezing and no shades . Mattress of bed are kind of hard . Overall: good quality/ price ! Super clean !

Hotel was centrally located in CDMX. Within walking distance of restaurants and paseo de la reforma.Good water pressure and hot water. Across the street from a nice local family and dog friendly park.Nicely cleaned daily and attentive service.We originally scheduled 3nights just in case but decided to stay our entire 7 days there due to the quietness of the hotel at night despite its location. Will stay there again!!

I stayed at the Hotel Stella Maris over the 2023 Thanksgiving weekend and was extremely pleased with the hotel's staff, public areas, location on a delightful urban park, and its close proximity to all of the Reforma tourist sites. Its San Rafael neighborhood was particularly delightful. I was given a bedroom on the 8th floor overlooking the park and the city, and the room was super-clean and updated to a very modern look, with good linens and mattresses, plus a splendid marble bathroom. I will stay there again when I am next visiting Mexico City. It is very convenient to shopping, theaters, and good restaurants, and one can walk freely in the neighborhood without any concern for safety. My only suggestion for improvement would be to its internal restaurant - - which I understand is run by a third-party operator. It had no standard breakfast buffet, and few patrons were in evidence using the restaurant - - apparently most eating at the various mix of other restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel which seemed always to have ample clientele and more professional wait-staff.

Comfortable and clean. 10-15 minute walk to nearest Metro line. Only issue was shower wasnt powerful and hot water was temperamental.
Staff were polite.
Sunday market was a bonus, literally outside the hotel.

Hotel overall was good, it was clean, room well organized, and the location was nice, a walking distance near Reforma. However, welcome people or \"hosts\" are not very polite they don´t say hello when you enter, room was really small and at night near 11pm or 12 you can hear a lot of noice probably when trash truck is nearby.

The hotel is not a real 4 star, more like 2 stars. There is no fridge. The curtains back covered with holes…
It was quiet, and walkable to places. The farmer’s market is right next to the hotel, we had a lot of fun over there.

Overall, it is an ok place to stay with the price.

I lived many years closed by this hotel and never came a visitor/tourist. Always heard about the quality and today I was very surprised. This is a very good/excellent hotel to stay for one day or for many days. Well located and easy access within transportation. Wow!! I would score this place as “superb”. Go for it I will stay again.

Great hotel at the price!

Very impressed with this hotel for the price! The room was very clean. The front desk was accommodating with my limited Spanish. Other guests have said the walls are thin and it is true that I could hear people walking by in the hall and the person next door sneezing, but nothing to keep me awake and no noise from the street was great! Appreciate the AC at this price point -- not very common.

The check in and out process was very easy. The room was very clean. The temperature control was not very good. The elevator was scary. The wifi signal was very good. The hotel is located near many things but is on a relatively quiet street. I only heard a lot or music one night. The staff is friendly. I didn’t order room service or breakfast.

Great place for short stay

This was a great place to stay! The staff is friendly and they offer food at the restaurant in the hotel. There is also a street market across the street with lots of snacks and food vendors. There is an area for taking taxis and the rooms have a nice view with tinted windows. There is also a safe in the room. It is missing a few small things. For example there isn't any fridge, microwave, coffee maker etc. There also wasn't an iron for clothes which was kind of important for me. The beds are a bit stiff too and the pool wasn't open.

Amazing, central location. Front desk provided lovely service and suggestions. They did not speak English but I got by with my limited Spanish (which is not a negative, just an observation). Facilities were clean, but slightly outdated. Room was rather small but fine since I was traveling alone. Bed was a little stiff. No outlets by the bed to plug in my phone, but I had a long cord that would reach the bed. I had a great experience overall.

Nice hotel but with just-not-ok room condition

We booked the room marked as 'superme suite' on the hotels.com. However, we realize that there was no 'superme suite' on site, only 'master suite'. What we get is a normal double room. I complained the hotel staff but they just show me what they have. It was very frustrated. I think the rest is good, only the hotel condition could get improved to meet 3.5-4 star hotel standard.

The location is excellent ,just 8 minutes wall from Reforma. There are many cafes and shops in the neighbourhood. My room was clean and nice.

Wifi was very weak, even didnt function some times. The toilet would block easily.

Easy check in/Check out and conveniently close to Paseo de la Reforma. There was a good balance between price, location and comfort. It is not a luxurious hotel. The staff was nice and the cleaning service was good. The towels were clean but they could use some new ones. The shower has only one curtain so it gets a little messy when showering.

I have stayed here before and will probably stay here again. The hotel is close to restaurants, theaters, and museums. It also has a good restaurant. I enjoy walking to the Centro Histórico (the central downtown district). However, for those who prefer public transportation, the metro and the metrobus are only five blocks away. There are also taxis with reasonable fixed rates outside the hotel.

the hotel was ok for the price. Pretty well located close to Reforma but it had some issues: Being an old building the AC didn't work properly and at night the noise from the street was very annoying (apparently the hotel is close to nightclubs and bars and not of the best quality) and the neighboring rooms were also pretty noisy.

This is the worst hotel. Pictures from expedia aren't what the hotel actually looks like. The area is full of prostitution. I was charged for the room although we didn't stay. Because the area is not safe at all and the hotel is disgusting.

Great Little Hotel at an Awesome Price

The staff there was really nice, they even accommodated me with a fan which helps me sleep better at night.
The room was clean and comfortable with laminate flooring and an awesome city view.
The location was great, very walkable area with easy access to Paseo Reforma. The park across the street seems to have a different type of market everyday, great for food options. Convenience stores and coffee shops were very close.
Taxis are always outside if you need them, even at 5:30 Am for early flights.
The internet speeds at least on our 7th floor room were really fast, we could stream shows in the evening no problem. Big improvement from our last stay here on the 4th floor two years ago where internet speeds were terribly slow.
I even discovered a business center and gym in the rear of the hotel.

My only suggestion is that the hotel invest more money in sprucing up the roof top pool. It has awesome views but looks like its not been updated since 1993.

I think I am making Stella Maris my Mexico City home away from home.

Hotel close to Reforma and US embassy

I stay in this hotel because I had a US embassy appointment. This is the second time I stay there. It's very convenient because is not expensive and it's a modest nice hotel. It's just 2 blocks away from Reforma Av that has lots of restaurants and shopping, walkable... every time I have to go there, I will stay in this hotel.

We have a problem about the A/C, our room was not cool as we expected. However, the room service and maintenance staffs worked hard to help us fix this problem. They have tried their best and we are okay with the fan they installed for us.(Anyway you should check your A/C that it works before hand over it to us)

The lobby and room was impecable it room is on the smaller side. There was plenty of hot water. The bed was rock hard. Room service is very efficient. Parking is small so you have to leave your key in case you are blocking any cars. Overall the place is great.

The staff was what makes this a gem! However, the pool isn't as it looks on the site. It's only about 2 feet deep. And the gym is antiquated and not really laid out that efficiently. The a/c works moderately at best. But...they were nice enough to give us a big fan. Again, the staff is fantastic!

We had a car but driving is not easy in Mexico City; this hotel is not as close to the historic area or to the Anthropologic Museum as we would have liked but cabs were inexpensive. We did drive to the Polanco area for dinner and discovered that if you park in front of a bank your car will be booted and cost 544pesos to unboot! We also drove to the Teotihuacan Pyramids from Mexico City and missed the toll road which allowed us to see a few magic towns on the way - the traffic was horrendous.
