We loved our stay there, but let’s face it. You get what you pay for. This place is not a 5 star resort. However we didn’t pay for a 5 star experience. The whole place is in need of a renovation. The breakfast is not great. Neither is the gym. HOWEVER, the staff was amazing and we loved our “rustic” villa. You will love it there. Just have in mind it’s rustic, and a very affordable “5 star” resort.

Overall i was happy with my stay. We had one of the private pool villas and it was totally worth it. The sunrise in the morning was great as it came up just opposite us. Nice views of the sea etc. For this alone I was very happy. The breakfast was good enough. The egg station was good. A reasonable amount of choice and you can sit outside with a nice view when having breakfast. The main pool is ok but no one seemed bothered to clean around it (people left rubbish etc). This hotel has its own little part of the beach but it's not the best part. I didn't use it. The staff were good. Overall it's a nice place. FYI it's a 4 star hotel not 5. Perhaps if i had not gone for the private pool villa i would not be so happy with my stay but i did so.

Had a great stay at Panviman Resort Koh Phangan. The location is stunning, with amazing ocean views and a very peaceful atmosphere, perfect if you want to relax away from the crowded areas.

The room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Waking up to the sea view was definitely a highlight. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, always ready to assist.

The pool area is beautiful and well kept, and the overall resort feels very private and calm. Breakfast had good variety and quality.

Only thing to keep in mind is that the resort is on a hill, so there are quite a few stairs, but they do offer shuttle service which helps a lot.

Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I would definitely come back.

Hotel is a bit isolated from the mainland and a taxi will cost u 2000 baht one way or sometimes u can get a rou drip for 3000 baht which is insane. Fyi bolt and grab dont work in koh phangan

Staff were very nice and helpful, area, scenery and beaches were excellent. Food and drink weren’t very good. The older part of the resort (just the rooms and their pools) is in desperate need of an upgrade. Before my stay I read more than a few reviews regarding the resorts age and thought how bad could it be? It’s bad. At some point everything needs an upgrade. Panviman is well overdue for one. I’m sure the rooms in the newer section are great, I suggest booking one of them.

Good hotel in a good location. Very high level of service. A charming little street full of restaurants and bars leads out of the hotel. Not very accessible for disabled people, for example lots of stairs to the pool. In addition, the rooms are small and outdated. The staff is exceptional.

The service was too bad.
We got back from a party on 2AM. The hotel is on a mountain. Asked the hotel to bring tuk tuk. Watied for 20 mins, nothing. so we mount the mountin which was very hard.

Another case we ordered a towel from the room service. Took 3 hours ( after complaing thats it is took too long time)

Another case, tried to call the guest service. No answer for 1hr.

Had a great time at this resort! Staff was amazing, helpful and friendly (especially Oh and O). I came to relax and that's what I did. After the first room I was in had a maintenance issue, I was quickly moved to a new, wonderful room. The hotel pool was newly renovated and the view was gorgeous! The beach was nice too. If I didn't want to eat at the resort, I went to the village at the base of the hill and ate there at the restaurants. If feel like you want to explore more of the island, you can book tours from here. I would certainly return to the Panviman!

Glorious hotel in Koh Phangan.

This is a really beautiful hotel. Sublime location with a lovely restaurant on the pretty sandy beach, a second restaurant for breakfast with wonderful views and lovely landscaping. Our spacious room had a very large balcony with sea view. Staff were all wonderful and the food delicious with frequent beach entertainment at dinner. The hotel is a short walk to the cute little village with plenty of shops & restaurants. A fabulous hotel !!!!

Awesome rooms with a view

We stayed at a room with sea view and it was astonishing. Great experience and the staff is very accommodating. Breakfast was good. The speed of the shuttle that takes you everywhere (big hotel) is very good, you call and they are there in a few minutes. Highly recommended hotel. The area is very relaxes and not much to do, we went there for 2 nights so it was more than enough.

Excellent location! The ferry pick up service from Samui was fantastic. The hotel itself needs updating. Our room, a pool room, was located in a good spot near reception. The pool needed a good scrub, there were dirty marks around the entire pool and spa. There was a pool man who came every other day but only to scoop out leaves. The lock on our door of our room was quite difficult to work and the seals around the door were all torn so didn’t keep out mosquitos. We did have a mosquito net, a plug in and citronella spray but the bugs could still get in. We were also only given one key and when we asked to get another so my partner and I could leave the room to do different things if we wanted, we were told there was only one key? This was frustrating as we couldn’t go anywhere alone or if we wanted to, we would have to leave the door unlocked. We stayed for 8 nights and asked if another key could be cut, but to no avail. Although the staff were lovely and tried to help, they need to be able to speak basic English to work at a resort. The gym is great but really needs air conditioning. The restaurants make great cocktails, but the food is only average. There is a great little street near by with an excellent selection of food. The resort looks a lot better in the photos than in real life.

This was a great resort. Such beautiful and amazing views. There is a ton to do but everything needs to be booked a day in advance. Since we were mainly staying for the full moon party we couldn’t take advantage of much.

The pool and private beach were a great way to relax before we headed back home.

The staff was amazing and the complimentary breakfast was delicious.

Would definitely recommend staying here.

Panviman resort was the perfect place for rest , relaxation in the most beautiful of settings. We loved the pool and the gorgeous sandy beach with bars and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious in the hill top restaurant with 180 degrees views of the bay, absolutely ideallyv. We didn’t use the spa as it was a little pricey for us. The local village had a great selection of bars , shops and restaurants. Having visited Koh Samui as well we felt Koh Pha-ngan ahad the edge with its ‘desert’island ‘ vibe

Loved our stay at the Panviman. Upgraded to a gorgeous sea view room with a large balcony. The views are superb! Breakfast was delicious, the restaurant stunning. Staff lovely. The pool is amazing, so tranquil and scenic. Beach doesn’t get enough sun as it’s well shaded by the hills and the palm trees. Gym needs updating badly.

Paradise - an absolute dream

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. Check in was luxurious, the whole experience with all the staff was exceptional. This was a great hotel, and if I ever go to Koh Phagan again, I would probably stay again. Breakfast was amazing, staff was so friendly, always going above and beyond. The Thai massage over the water...to die for. A few things to note- The beach is small and rocky, don't stay here if the beach is the reason you are going. Also, to get to some of the rooms, you have to take a tuktuk, free of charge, but you have to call every time you want to leave and go to your room. The wait is never fore then a few minutes, but it is just an extra step. The hills are crazy, and you COULD walk but it is tough. They have a shuttle (500 baht PP) to the full moon party, which is about 30 minutes away, having a safe way to and from the party is a must. Stay here, and upgrade your room to a jacuzzi suite or better, those rooms are AMAZING!!!

it was a nice stay. Panviman is a good place for those who want to relax and enjoy the good life without moving so much. Panvinman has a very posh spa and amazing view. if you chose to stay in Panviman I recommend taking the deluxe cottage and not the superior. The cheap rooms are not worth the price and by adding a little bit more money you get a private and much larger room. the new and most expensive rooms are not my style and I think the old but a little bit more pricey rooms are the most beautiful and the most value for money.

Great hotel with a stunning location

We booked this hotel for a family holiday. On our arrival we reported at the security desk and shortly after we were collected by a tuk tuk and driven up to reception, which was perched at the top of a hill. Following our check in we were taken by tuk tuk to our rooms. On entering the rooms it was jaw dropping. The rooms had floor to ceiling glass walls offering panoramic views of the bay. We woke up every morning to a sunrise across which was visible from lying on the bed- a million dollar view, even when sat on the toilet. The cottages are perched on a rock face looking onto the sea/bay. The hotel complex has a good size infinity pool and smaller pools for children. There is access to a small beach with free watersports. Every morning breakfast is served in the viewpoint resturant which offers panoramic views of the bay and sea, the food was great with lots of variety. The staff were attentive and special thanks go to Minkess the guest relations manager. A fantastic location to enjoy and relax at.
There are beaches nearby with powder white sands and great for snorkelling and watersports. Well recommended location! We will definately be visiting this hotel again. The hotel also arranged all outbound transfers and including taxi and ferry.
The only real negative was the steep hills to ascend and desend, which made for great workouk outs. Not ideal for people with mobility problems but the hotel do have transport and measures to facilitate access.Check with hotel first

A fabulous position, stayed here several times in the past,I should have known better than to come in peak season. It is still claiming to be 5 star more like three. If you want to eat here I suggest you stick to breakfast the other food experience is mediocre to say the least. Try Luna down the road.

Very disappointed, if you get a high room you must use a tuk tuk for every move, the gym is not maintained and a joke, sewage drains to the hotel's beach and the hotels always tries to make an extra buck, starting wich extra charge for capuccino at breakfast and ending with shuttles to the pier, everything costs extra. The breakfast is very poor and not wat you would expect for such prices. Staff was friendly but with poor english. Not much to do outside as there's only one street with a couple of reataurants and bars. DEFIANTLY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Stayed here for 6 nights, amazing hotel with friendly staff.
It wasn't really busy so always managed a sun bed by the pools.
As other reviews stated it is a trek to apartments, but that's no bother as you can either go to reception and ask for a tuc tuc or ring one from your room.
I loved that every night you'd get a treat left in your room, whether it was a mint or a biscuit.
The sea views I had from my apartment was unreal, id recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.
The only down side is, it's expensive for food, drinks and the laundry, but if you leave the hotel and walk either straight down the road there was a little restaurant which was cheap an the food was great.
If you leave the hotel an turn right, there's a chemist and a laundrette as well as other bars and restaurants which were also cheaper.
Overall I was extremely satisfied and can't wait to return.

It is a unique place. Every bit in the room is luxurious. But is it really necessary to have steps in the bathroom? The danger of tipping is high. The paths to the bungalows are quite steep though the resort's tuktuks are helpful sometimes. To ask for 90 Baht ++ for a cup of cappuchino for breakfast in such a resort is ridiculuos. for 250$ a night no cappuchino? The bread qualitiy is poor. There are better resorts on the island as far as breakfast is concerned. All in all: Great location, average breakfast, strong wifi, very friendly staff.

Private pool was superb, a real luxury, we stayed in 105. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Sea food beach bar, had BBQ nights with entertainment, a lovely atmosphere.
The accommodation was advertised as 80 sq.m, with living area. I think it was more like 40sq.m plus the pool, and the only \"living area\" was outside.
Local village only 5 minute walk, had most things you would need, eg chemist, supermarkets etc. Plus quite a variety of restaurants.
Very peaceful compared to the other side of the island.
We had a wonderful 7 nights.

Nice hotel away from the business

If your looking for a quiet place to retreat and relax, this hotel is a good option. My husband and I stayed here during full moon party and we loved it. The only problem is transporting to haad rin. It was inconvenient and expensive as it is up on a mountain. But the hotel and staff were really nice. The view from our room was also quite spectacular. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who isn't planning on going down to haad rin.

There's also a beach near by and a village where you can rent bikes and find good places to eat!

Had an amazing stay here, loved everything about it. The room was amazing, with the downstairs area being the bathroom and jetted tub. Balcony has nice view of the gulf, very beautiful. Massive infinity pool and a couple of little ones. Breakfast was great, all you can eat with many options. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location is about 35 mins drive from both piers (Haad Rin and Tongsala). There is a small village right outside the resort where you can find restaurants, a bar, tour agencies, and a few massage places. You can get taxi from one of tour agencies as well.
There is a nice beach that can be accessed directly from the hotel, wish I was back there!

Great Stay.

We took the Deluxe Jacuzzi Grande and it was worth every penny. We thoroughly enjoyed the room with the jacuzzi and the view from the bedroom is simply fascinating.

Staff were excellent and friendly throughout. Tuktuk service to and fro the room were prompt and effective.

The beach was beautiful with calm waters and soft sand.

Breakfast was a little lacking in choice and spread. But it is adequate.

Pool bar was enjoyable with a good choice of finger foods and cocktails. We ordered a calamari at the pool bar on the first day and it was delicious. However we were slightly disappointed with the calamari at the beach sand bar.

Will definitely return given the chance.

Paradise alike!

We had amazing views from our Deluxe jacuzzi grand room wich was something exceptional.Room was more than what we needed.
Free tuk tuk service in the hotel which helps getting arround cause the room was high up on a hill. Beautiful pool. Would loved to have stayed longer than two nights!!!. It's an excellent get-away for peace and quiet and relaxation!

(Taxi to and from the resort might be a little costly, from 700-1200 baht from haad-rin. around 1100-1200 from the village out of the resort to thongsala pier.)

Secluded piece of paradise

Getting to the panviman is a bit of a struggle if arriving by ferry to thong sala pier. The roads are quite bumpy and windey so the fresh towel and welcome drink on arrival was appreciated. We also received an upgrade which was a nice suprise, check in was quick and effecient and the staff were lovely. They also offer a tuk tuk service to take you around the resort as some of the rooms are located on steep hills which is very helpful. Our room was lovely and the resort facilities are well cared for. Apart from catching the shuttle to check out the full moon party we spent all 3 days at the resort. We ate food from both the pool bar and the by the sea restuarant both were lovely and resonably priced. My only negative about this hotel is that some staff made you feel obligated to tip this was a bit uncomfortable.

Beautiful views

Very beautiful hotel. Every room it's own individual into built up onto the hill. We stayed in a deluxe villa all the way on top (6402). Very nice views but I believe all have some of the water. Very steep though. Definitely not for those with limited mobility even with the tuk tuks ( stairs to pool, stairs to beach)Breakfast was excellent as was the spa. Infinity pool with beautiful views. Service was good as well. Giving a 4/5 because beach not fabulous. Situated behind rocks and beach restaurant average, nothing special (we had better meals in the little village which is very close by). All in all a beautiful resort with beautiful views from everywhere. I would stay again.

A little piece of paradise - a perfect getaway

Both my partner and I were in need of some relaxation so booked 7 days at the Panviman resort as a last minute deal- we could not have chosen better. Koh Phangan and the hotel was peaceful, clean and exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much for the hotel staff. The room was beautiful , cleaned daily and had full a.c. We sipped coconut shakes by the beach, swam in crystal clear warm waters in the beach adjacent to the hotel and kayaked to the next beach when we fancied it . All in all we loved our stay in what felt like a safe and peaceful bit of paradise.

Beach area cluttered in day with tables so doesn't look classy
Resturants empty and overpriced drinks
Pool lovely and rooms lovely
I think overpriced considering
Breakfast fantastic
Disappointed in the beach area and resturants mainly as no atmosphere
I would go back as this hotel has the best location on the beach but only if price was better
Terrible gym - machines broken and useless
Nearby are some lovely restaurants and bars with better atmosphere

Little bit of paradise tucked away on Koh Phangan

We spent a week at Panviman with a group of friends and it was truly wonderful. The setting was beautiful, the staff could not have been more friendly or attentive and the breakfast was incredible (0 both the vistas and the food). The beach and pool were also fantastic. Already planning my next trip back!

Overall it's was all good. Good service, location

Great hotel, great staff, nice beach, food is not that good, though breakfast it is. There several option right outside to get some food.
Good service at the spa.
I would come back for sure !
