The room window lighting blinder was broken. I asked the reciption to change my room. He downgraded into a less pleasant room after 10 min of “searching”. According to him everything is fully booked but I can see while searching in hotels.com there is still available rooms for the same dates. Thus not happy.

This hotel clearly has a problem with heating. I´ve stayed there 4 times over the past month (January/February), and so far I´ve only stayed in one room that had sufficient heating. Most window and terrasse-doors allow for cold air to enter simply because the arent installed properly. The building and rooms are old and generally needs to be renovated. On the other hand, the rooms are in average 20-25% cheaper than other hotels in the city. Staff members are always very helpfull and the hotel is right in the center of the city.

This pertains primarily to the young lady who checked us in on the evening of Jan 7. No greeting, no welcome, just said checking in? Then laid the key on the counter. No comment, no verification, nothing. Totally indifferent attitude. The same girl later took our meds to be refrigerated but she put them in their freezer, which ruined them. The manager couldn’t even find them at first because the girl apparently didn’t leave any documentation for the other employees to locate them. The manager handled the situation very professionally. They did have a nice breakfast. No drinking glasses in the room. Room was always cool no matter how we tried to adjust the temp. Zero counter space in the bathroom. $11 for a draft beer. You decide!

What used to be an elegant old hotel, has been completely gutted of practically all original charm and beauty. It is now an entirely non-descript chain hotel. Location is good and breakfast buffet okay, but don’t expect anything but a non-descript chain hotel.

Noisy room.

I was given a room (342) placed at third level, windows facing ventilation system. It was so noisy, even with the windows closed. Like having a truck just outside your door.
It was nessesary for me to leave the room, to rest my ears.
I informed the hotel, they were sorry.
I find that you can’t offer this room without informing people.
I have stayed at the hotel before, and had a good time there, so everything else is fine.

Værelset er flot og har en god størrelse, for mig er en af de vigtigste ting, når man vågner og skal ned og spise morgenmad, men det er dog noget af det mest kedelige morgenmad jeg længe har oplevet. Smagsløst, osten var tør, udvalget ringe. Jeg drikker ikke kaffe eller te, så et godt glas juice, men de har slet ikke juice, de har frugtdrik.

Quite old and worn out rooms but at least with a new comfortable bed. The bathroom was not cleaned sufficiently, there was hair on the floor in the shower and old dirt around the toilet and on the walls. The shower was terrible with no water pressure and the drain was clogged so the bathroom flooded. The receptionist that checked us in was very new and couldn’t give directions to the room. The receptionist that we spoke to at checkout about the problems in the room seemed not to care. We only stayed one night.

Our TV did not work properly, often the image was like a puzzle and the remote control only worked sometimes...
I was surprised that no cleaning was done unless we specifically put the sign on the door to 'Please clean'. I would expect from a 4* hotel that cleaning was done, unless I asked them not to do it. I had not found the sign in the bottom of the wardrobe, so had put no sign outside and no bed was done, no towels changed during our 3 days' stay.
Much noise from the main street, as we had to keep our window open during the night due to the heat.

It was a fantastic room, spacious, clean and beautiful. Very nice staff. The breakfast was satisfactory.

Our only complaints is that it was extremely hot in the room and we couldn't have our windows open because of the very noisy traffic and nightlife.

Great location when visiting Aalborg. Breakfast and the room was nice.
The only two issues we had was, there was a lot of dirty plates and cups among the clean ones at breakfast. Not misplaced just not properly cleaned.
Second one is that on Saturday night there was a party at the hotel and the noise from it was terrible and ruined that nights sleep.

Location is excellent and close to everything. Parking on facility is limited. We reached midnight so the parking was full. Staff was kind enough to help us find a public parking. Condition of the rooms is OK. It’s old (but I personally like it). Staff were very helpful. The only note is that the cleaning of the room is not well done. The carpet for example was not vacuumed for 2 days even though had some dirt since day 1.

Room was unpleasantly warm despite the radiator being turned off. Hotel parking lot is quite small. Don't pay for more than than the first night if you stay longer, as you may not be able to find a parking space on the following nights and you'll end up paying double when you give up and park in a public parking lot.

I was staying with friends as part of the Aalborg Karneval. The team were really helpful from prior to arrival with pre-arrival messages and updates. During our stay the team were all really helpful and welcoming.

We booked a twin room and it was with comfortable clean rooms, with ensuite and toiletries included and hairdryer in the bathroom.

The public areas were nice and kept tidy and clean, considering it was Karneval weekend it was great.
Breakfast was nice with a great selection and good tea and coffee, and juice. There is complimentary tea, coffee and water in the reception area.

The location to the city centre and location attractions is fantastic and if highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel with friendly and welcoming staff.

Really great breakfast buffet.
The hotel is old and a bit rusty 😉 but cozy.
I had a nice room, spacious and nice beds.
The bathroom was rusty, the drain was broken, so both mornings- the water from the shower, came up from the drain.
The cleaning lacked a bit.

Meget godt ophold, dog havde vi et lille problem den dag vi skulle hjem. Om morgen da min mand brugte håndvask til barbering, da stod vandet op af risten i gulvet og hele gulvet svømmede, incl min toilettaske som stod på gulvet, da der ikke er skabe. Og da jeg var i bad, opdagede jeg igen at vandet kom op. Det blev selvfølgelig meldt i receptionen.
Ellers et godt ophold, stille og fredligt, og dejligt centralt.

Anden gang jeg er på hotellet og har ikke noget negativt at sige som sådan.
Lidt slidt her og der.
Nu her anden gang vi var afted fik vi ikke væresle inde men \"ude\" ikke at det gør noget som sådan for der var mere ro, men når man skal til morgenmad og det evt pis regner ville det var dejligt med en paraply der høre til værelset.
Gulvet her i vinter perioden er mega koldt i rummet (på badeværelset var det dejligt varmt) evt man skulle have tæppe på så gulvet bliver lidt varmer at gå på.
Men dejlig personale lækkert morgenmad og ligger super centralt lige over gaden og så er der alt hvad man ønsker, mega fedt.

Only two issues continue anoy.

No airconditioning and the parking.

The lack of aircon can make the room pretty warm, you can open the window, but I prefer aircon.

Be aware you can go from 100 kr. to 500 kr. for one night.
Pay your parking in the lobby using qr code.

So all in all minor issues.

Great area, quiet and good breakfast.

We'll be back.

Very lovely hotel

Lovely smiling staff, and a better breakfast than anticipated. I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Aalborg.
Oh, and there is parking behind the hotel and the location of the hotel is very central

( I like the fact that the old elevator / lift is still in use)

Vi ankom tidlig om morgen - for at høre om vores værelse var klart, da vi havde et arrangement vi gerne ville klæde om til - desværre kunne vi ikke komme ind og det er helt fint, da vi reelt ikke havde værelses - jeg ville dog sætte pris på at receptionen ville undersøge det, istedet for en kold afvisning - det er ikke kundevenligt.

Vi skulle lige hurtigt tisse inden videre færd og jeg må sige vi blev noget overrasket over at se herrernes toiletfaciliteter ved receptionen, her kunne vi konstatere at der stod tomme flasker rundt omkring, samt var et pissoir fyldt op, det var noget ulækkert og lever ikke op til et 4 stjernet hotel, dette uagtet om der har været et arrangement.

Vores værelse manglede generelt ventilation, og vi måtte åbne vinduet som lå ud til hovedvejen - hvilket resulterede i at vi allerede klokken 5 om morgen blev vækket af tung trafik.

Badeværelsets ventilation var ikke eksisterende, og der var skimmel i fugerne, meget uhygiejnisk.

Værelset mindede om et lille kammer, som har været i overskud hvor der lige kunne klemmes en seng ind, generel finish kunne lette værelset

Morgenmaden var desværre også en lettere skuffelse, maden var generelt ikke særligt indbydende - brødet var i den grad tørt, hvorfor vi hurtigt forlod bordet for at finde en tank at få både kaffe og brød.

Overordnet har det været en generel skuffelse at overnatte på hotellet, det var heldigvis kun 1 enkelt nat, jeg kan eller vil ikke anbefale jer.

4 stars is definately 1 too much here.

Quite old-fasion and not well cleaned - very dusty in corners etc.

Breakfast was a chaos with no tables available - and very crouded buffet! When I finally found a table, placed my plate and went for a cup of coffee (took aprox 10 min!), it was removed when I came back, and once again did not had any place to sit.

Staff were very friendly though.
