Have stayed there many times and this time the room was nice but the noise outside was not good. The street had a broken drain cover that was really loud every time someone drove over it. The room had a twin bed that was a little small for two people.

Room was much smaller than pictures. The in-room heater was old and \"clanged/ banged\" throughout the night, causing us to lose sleep. \"Hot\" water in shower was only barely warm the first night. Bathroom was extremely small, with only sink out in the bedroom. Breakfast was good. At $250+ per night, it was vastly overpriced for what you get.

Such a beautiful place to stay! The people working the front desk were so kind and helpful, the room was spotless and modern but still had historic touches. We loved seeing the pictures and plaques talking about the history of the buildings. The location is perfect for visiting IU or for just exploring downtown. The breakfast was delicious and was a great way to start the day. We will definitely stay here again!

I have stayed here a couple of times recently and it is hands down one of the most enjoyable places to stay. I've stayed in very small room, and then most recently in a very large suite. The rooms are beautiful, the beds extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms very nice. It does not Smell like a hotel (cleaning solution) anywhere (although it is very clean), there are not staff running around underfoot all day, and the lighting is not fluorescent. It really feels like you are Away in the Best sense of the word.
I don't know if it was that there weren't many guests there both weekends I stayed, or if the sound insulation is just That Good, but it was silent in my rooms.
Extra perk: the most recent stay was in a room in the main building. In the morning I could smell the bacon/sausage from the breakfast service. A lovely, homey way to wake up in the morning. (Unless you are a vegetarian, in which case you should try to stay somewhere other than the main building.)
Also, the baked treats they have in the lobby are actually good. (Unlike many hotels where they just unload a bunch of cookies from walmart into a dish.) I understand that the lady who does the weekday breakfast service bakes these. They are really good.
Finally, I appreciate the private parking. The hotel is located in the middle of a residential area and the fact that they have a dedicated (free) parking lot that is easily accessible from all buildings is great.

The neighborhood was quiet the weekend I stayed there (note that I did not go on a football weekend, ha ha). Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was fine. Note: I'm not in the habit of carrying much cash and so I was not able to leave a tip for housekeeping or the breakfast attendant. I just booked my next stay (next month) and I will bring cash so I can make it up to them! :) (So if you are planning to stay there, do bring some cash!)

I’ve stayed here before and have always appreciated the friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere, which makes this visit a bit disappointing. The room felt dark and a bit worn, with missing bathroom tiles, ant traps on the floor, and an awkward layout with the shower and toilet far from the sink. There was also no fridge or coffee maker. I probably could have asked for another room, but it was late and I was tired. Hopefully management checks on these issues, as this stay didn’t reflect the usual “Exceptional” standard I’ve experienced in the past.

The entire staff was amazingly sweet and helpful. The front desk was always checking in when we walked by and offering cold water. The breakfast was delicious and we were offered items to take with us. You can tell they are all about those staying there and it shows. The location was perfect and the off street (free) parking was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere and not worry about our car. We would definitely stay there again.
