The Cascades is nice, clean unique little motel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The courtyard garden area was my favorite. The bar nextdoor Sleepers was relaxing, staff and travelers there were friendly. Would stay there again for sure!!

We stayed in the room with 5 bunk beds. It was clean and roomy. The mattress’s were comfy enough. The room had a smell of moisture or mildew. The room was very humid. We had a good night sleep. Loved the court yard and the cascade park was right behind the motel. We enjoyed a walk in the park and the kids played at the very nice playground!

Check-in was perfect! The young lady at the desk was very sweet. The areas surrounding the hotel are not taken care of so it looks like a rough area. It's not the hotel's fault! I was disappointed about no microwave being in the room. There's only one in the main dining room. The room was very clean and the staff wrote a cute note. All in all...I definitely will be staying there again.

Exterior was in ruins, lots of structural issues. Multiple bugs, including 4 large spiders in one room. Could not speak to staff because they close the office/lobby overnight which seems very odd. Although we already paid, we all decided to leave for better lodging

Wonderful place at a great price. The garden and fountain is nice, and I enjoyed hiking on the trail in the back.. Front desk staff were excellent (especially Riley). My only negative is that I was there for a week, and never received housekeeping services. They did stop by once, and I asked them to return in about 30 minutes, but in a week it didn't happen. It won't affect my willingness to return- I will definitely be back- but it would have been nice.

Not bad but, the grounds were terrible not mowed a lot of poison ivy. Room not bad, had a lot of bugs in the bath area. Older and outdated, the restaurant wasn't open the time we went to it was around 8pm.

Property is really really really weedy. It’s advertised as a beautiful oasis but it is a run down property. We were very nervous when we pulled into the parking lot but I will say the room was clean and the staff was nice.
Breakfast was fine but the floor was filthy.

Room was completely remodeled. Clean room and bathroom. Loved that you could walk out back of the Inn and have a trail to walk on. Took you across the road to a sitting area and just a short walk away was a park for kids. Breakfast was not a hot breakfast, you could have choice of two cereals or you could make oatmeal. Had choice of bagels, bread or English muffins. Had fresh fruit and yogurt also. Has a bar connected to Inn that served food. Did not try the food. Staff was all very nice and accommodating. Also had a nice garden you could walk through and sit in and enjoy.

If you’re reading reviews, you’re basically wondering if you’re going to be good at that place. My short answer is “yes.” it’s not the Hilton, but it’s very inexpensive, totally acceptable, and you’ll have what you need. And it’s quiet. If you’re not a diva, you’re good here. Would stay here again, no problem.

This hotel is great for the price. It is quiet, clean, and priced well. The staff is friendly. We previously staying during the winter, but as spring arrives the property landscaping is a little overgrown. he courtyard is lovely, and the breakfast is simple but adequate. The finishes are typical for a budget-friendly hotel, but it does appear that they are trying to update as needed. The beds are comfortable. We will be back!

If you want to step back in time, this Inn will fulfill your memory. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The Inn appears to be in renovation mode, with newer bathroom furnishings. Great towels and nice toiletries.
The room did have microwave, refrigerator, desk and sofa but the floor was cold due to being on first floor (which is concrete). A nice touch would be a larger rug under the foot of the bed to step on so feet stay warm. The bed was comfortable and the area was not very noisy.
The disappointment we had with room was that we booked a garden view room that was not a viable view, a wall view was more like it. We came on a day that was chilly and the gardens had not been cleaned for the season, but the courtyard looked like it would be lovely at a later date.
We did not partake in the continental breakfast offered.

I stayed there last year and had such a lovely experience, Clean room, nice people at the front. This time, my room smelled like cleaning solution and body odor. They told me to open the windows but then said oh wait the windows. They had no other rooms available except the crazy bunk room but would also not give me a discounted rate on the room even though it was bad.

Hotel is not impressive from the outside, but our room certainly was. Spotless clean, good size, bed was amazing, our own control air conditioner, hot water, hiking trails just steps away, quiet at night, even though the hotel looked pretty fool. Continental breakfast basic, but good enough to hold you off until lunch time. Coffee was the best I've tasted in any hotel. Staff was very helpful and they were constantly re-supplying everything at the breakfast room. Will definitely book them again in the future

It’s a motel. Nothing that fancy. But it’s clean and safe. And has a charm. It is not a chain and it doesn’t feel like one. There are little details, little amenities that make it feel like some cares-

The motel room coffee station was well stocked with coffee bags and a variety of caffeine and herbal brand name teas. The small room was well organized with plugs and storage and a desk and stocked with towels. The little map and welcome letter provided wifi password and informed us quiet hours after 10.

It’s about 2 miles from downtown Bloomington- not especially walkable, but it’s a straight shot and Uber and Lyft are active and reliable. There is a little bar adjacent with some light snacks if you wanna wind down. The breakfast is typical- fruit, toast, cereal, coffee, juice, yogurt- but I was pleased with the varieties of flavors of the activia and chobani yogurt and breakfast runs until 10 am.

It’s just a motel. No frills. But it’s a good one.

I would stay again.

The property overlooks Cascades Park. It is situated in a quiet wooded area. The only close store is Big Red Liquor. It is clean. The staff are nice. The hotel is undergoing renovation. Reasonably priced. No workout room or pool. It was sufficient as i was not expecting luxury.

For the price, it’s a good place to stay. I usually give good reviews after each stay here but not this time. At check in, the person working the front desk was so incredibly rude. So unnecessary and made us feel unwelcome.
The room itself was fine. Clean sheets. Clean towels. Only issue was the tv was not working. I called the front desk to ask if someone could fix it. I was told maintenance would be there in a few minutes to fix. No one showed up.

This is a dated property, but they do a good job with what they have. The room was clean, looks to be new flooring. A nice touch is the continental breakfast. The location is close to IU campus, and plenty of parking was available. One note for improvement, the shower head did not have good water pressure and the water was warm, but not hot, which would have been better.

Not a traditional continental breakfast but they did have hot coffee, juice, yogurt, instant oatmeal and fruit. McDonald just down the street. We will definitely stay again when in Bloomington. Good value for the cost.

The rooms have been renovated and are very nice. They have most comfortable bed & bedding. The mattress is so comfortable & the sheets are very soft and thick. The bath towels are super thick & soft, too. They provided us with shampoo, conditioner, bath soap & lotion, as well as glass drinking glasses & coffee mugs, in addition to paper to-go coffee cups. The front desk staff is awesome. I was concerned about the high deposit, but they waived charging it because I assured them I'm a great customer who would never destroy their property, plus I had called a couple of times a few days before our stay and told them I chose their hotel solely because of all the great reviews they have online. I will stay at Cascades every time I'm in Bloomington from now on. They even had a live band in the lounge/restaurant.
I didn't see a single bug either.
