Two things to be aware of:
1. This is a small property with 3 rooms. The owner therefore does not automatically cater for dietary allergies/requirements. He was happy to get alternative breakfast when we told him my mum had a dairy allergy but we decided to get things ourselves to make sure it was to my mum’s taste. The breakfast is generous, but it is a simple, cold buffet. There is no cooked breakfast. The croissant were delightful! If you have dietary allergies/requirements, tell them in advance.
2. The property is a beautiful, traditional house. There are steps from the street to the house as it is set on a small hill. It is about 3 stories above the street level. This was no issue for me, but my mum has a painful knee. She still managed, if one of your party has any mobility issues, so consider this. Once inside there are only one or two steps at the entrance.
This really is a peaceful gem set within the city of Rome. It has a beautiful garden and when inside it doesn’t feel like you are in a city but a little villa in the countryside. I would stay here again if I was coming with anyone other than my mum for the above reasons.
