A super charming old villa with an interesting story, but unfortunately the interior really shows its age - my room was spacious and bright, but unfortunately the decor showed it's age (pitting in the bathtub enamel, cracks in the plaster of the bathroom walls, aircon unit held together with tape).

The villa is perfectly located in the Nomentana neighbourhood, surrounded by embassies so you know it is safe and quiet. Well-connected to public transport, and a short taxi ride away from Stazione Tiburtina.

Hotel staff were friendly and warm, extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet is limited, but honestly sufficient. I would would be happy to come back for a future stay!

My friend and I had a great stay at Villa Pirandello. The hotels and its amenities were great for us. This area of the city gave us a chance to walk around and explore the food and the sights. There are embassies spotted up and down the street where Villa Pirandello is located so you know it is a very good area of the city and their onsite parking suited us on our road trip very well. 10/10 would recommend!

Very friendly service and excellent hospitality however this hotel is let down by very outdated and old condition. It definitely needs some renovation and refresh, bathroom was full of mould and doesn’t feel like a 3 star hotel. Location is quite isolated and no shops nor restaurants nearby.

Lovely quaint place to stay in whilst in Rome. If you like walking it is an easy two kilometer walk to the main train station Roma Termini. There is also also a wonderful local food market very close by. We especially loved the fact that there were plenty of local dining options nearby and away from the tourist hubs. The hotel has friendly staff and a beautiful breakfast setting.

I liked the fact that we felt safe the entire time there . You are surrounded by multiple embassy’s making a casual walk after midnight feel extremely safe. Breakfast wasn’t all that great or worth the money and the room was extremely small but I did like the fact this place is just a short bus ride from all of the main attractions in Rome

Hidden gem off the beaten path.

Stayed here for a conference and the location was away from the crowds. It was well serviced, I felt safe, and the rooms were clean. Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional.

I went solo and felt very safe walking around by myself, day and night. I wish I was able to learn more about Pirandello while there. It's a hidden gem and a lovely place to stay.

The only con is that it is a short walk to the Metro and restaurants it's also a a few Metro stops from the tormuristy sites. For me, that was great as I do not like crowds.

This is a really nice place and a nice area to stay in Rome. It's away from the madness of the center and if you're a person who likes to recharge after being around crowds, this is the place.

I took taxis when I needed to go on tours and walked lots to explore. I took the bus once coming back from the center. The staff here was really pleasant, helpful and responsive. Breakfast was excellent with really great choices. A coffee bar that is excellent. There's always someone at the front desk. I had them call taxis for me most times so I would get a fair rate. The concierge even helped with a situation with a taxi who dropped me off.

This place is suitable for video calls and meetings with decent internet for digital nomads like myself. You can irder take out easily to here on rainy days or if you just want to stay in.

The area is really safe to walk as a solo traveler woman even at 11pm at night like I did when there was a taxi strike. I highly recommend this place. Whenever I come back to Rome I will be returning here.

We stayed here because this hotel was away from the high prices of mid-town. The subway was not as close to the hotel as I thought but it was still walkable. The area was very quiet (perfect after an overnight plane flight). Our room was large, well-appointed, and a comfortable bed. The staff went above-and-beyond to be helpful!

I spent some time looking for a smaller, affordable boutique hotel, for a long term stay (2 weeks). Boy, did I hit the jackpot! The property itself - the building, the grounds, the patio, the landscaping - ooze charm and serenity. Ditto for the surrounding neighbourhood. There are plenty of dining options nearby, ranging from restaurants to fast-food outlets to grocery stores. Bologna Metro stop, on the Blue Line, is a 6-7 walk away, and will whisk you to the Colosseo, Vatican or Trastevere in mere minutes. The continental breakfast is excellent, and I fell in love with the freshly squeezed orange juice and just brewed filter coffee. Given the length of my stay, I got to know many of the staff. They were without fail, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Tip: check out the Mausoleo di Santa Constanza, dating from the late Roman age, just a short 10 minute walk north of the Villa. The architecture, mosaics and especially quiet - I found myself alone in the place - make for a special experience. A gem.

Fantastic stay at a great price!

I have spent nights in many a Roman hotel and none have been as pleasant as my stay at Villa Pirandello. The staff were all friendly and helpful, as spoke English well. The hotel itself was well maintained and attractively decorated. The room was spacious and well appointed, with comfortable beds and a great shower. The hotel was a short walk to a metro stop and was located in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Breakfast provided a diverse selection of food and beverages. I was very impressed.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights in this hotel in April-19. The staff are all amazing, they help, they are friendly, smiling and they go the extra mile to assist.
The property is in a very good shape, the elevator caught out eye the moment we saw it. The room a bit small but clean and adequate, they did the daily cleaning, changing sheets perfectly. Their breakfast was good and they made the effort to accommodate our Vegan diet.

Great value for money + located in calm area

Came to Rome for the weekend and this place proved to be the most ideal choice for somewhere not too far from the city centre takes about 15 mins including walking to get to aroma Terminal from there) and of a decent standard.
Room was fairly spacious, breakfast was as good as you’d normally expect and the staff were really nice and helpful.
Don’t think you’ll find better for the prices seen for their rooms.

Modern hotel

My room was very modern and spacious. Great shower and bed. I left my stuff with the hotel as I arrived too early to check in. When I came back, my luggage had been moved into my room for me, and the room smelt lovely and fresh. The only downside is that this hotel is a little out of the way of the city, but I didn't mind so much as the train system is good and it's a quiet neighbourhood.

We were over in Rome for the Italy v Scotland rugby international ( March 2018) and stayed here. What a lovely find in the peaceful Embassy district of Nomamento. The hotel is small and intimate with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast which can be taken inside or on the terrace. This features home baking and excellent coffees. The rooms are comfortable, if somewhat on the warm side initially.

Villa Pirandello is a lovely hotel which provides a fantastic breakfast. From mini doughnuts to freshly sliced watermelon, it really is a continental delight! So nice that there are still hotels which don't charge extra for breakfast, and include it in the general cost. Really good location, approximately 10 minutes' walk from Bologna underground station. Could only really be improved by tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Also, shower gel, shampoo etc are included, although we couldn't find anything out about this before visiting. Also useful to know (especially if you're only taking hand luggage) that razors are also provided as part of bathroom toiletries!

Very nice and quiet location, close to subway (10 minutes walking from Bologna station), very friendly, helpful, and polite staff, very chic building and yard, with lots of jasmine and bougainvillea. The only thing I would quibble a little is about the shower cabin, which was too small. However, overall it was a great stay and my wife and I would revisit anytime.

Charming hotel with delicious cafe breakfast about 10 mins walk from Bologna metro station. Front desk service was excellent, as was the breakfast staff. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but has the benefit of being quiet and in a very safe area, right across from the Qatar embassy (I think). The walk here from Roma Termini train station took 40 mins, which isn't bad but with luggage I'd recommend the 1.80EUR train. Thank you Villa Pirandello for a pleasant stay.

From the minute we arrived, fell in love with this wonderful hotel. We arrived early, so while waiting for our room to be readied, the staff was attentive to all our needs. Our room was very clean, well stocked and comfortable. It contained all the necessary amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable. The staff was overwhelmingly friendly, polite, professional and helpful. Calling for taxis and even confirming our various tour reservations was never a problem for them. The café was is a wonderful addition to the hotel. The food was extremely delicious and plentiful. The hotel is located outside the city center which is a wonderful advantage by which to end a busy day of sightseeing with a quiet, safe, and restful night sleep. All in all, five stars is not enough to rate our stay in this beautiful hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our Roman dream come true.

this hotel is in a quiet residential /business area. An old property it has been tastefully modernised and has all the facilities you would expect. It's a cute, quaint hotel, but far from downtown.

I spent just under a week here and I liked it. It's clean and streamlined, and the staff was helpful and friendly (although it seemed like only the ones working at the front desk spoke fluent English). It was convenient that there was an elevator, and the common balconies on the first and second floors were nice. It's located on the same street as the Yemeni embassy, so there were Italian soldiers standing guard around the hotel, which gave me a sense of security. It's far from the downtown area, though; I had to call Uber to take me from the hotel to either Via Condotti or the Termini station.

Beautiful and quiet getaway from Rome

We stayed here a few nights and our only wish was that we could have stayed longer! Friendly, warm and welcoming, the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. They provided a map of the city, a quick walkthrough of Rome, and suggestions for areas to explore for dinner. It's located in a secluded, quiet area which was a very welcome relief after the chaos of central Rome. It is a bit far from the center but once you figure out how to use the public transportation, it's convenient to get around (Bologna metro stop is ~8-9 minutes away and the bus stop is right down the street). We took a bus from the Termini train station to the hotel and had no problems at all with finding it, so no need to stress.

Perfect Boutique Hotel

I have been having the best of luck with \"Boutique Hotels.\" Villa Pirandello is no exception. I stayed for 8 days. I absolutely loved my stay. I first thought it may be too far out of the way, but it was not. It was about a ten minute walk from the Bologna metro station, plus you walk past shopping for sundries, cooked take-away food, clothes stores and a few barcarolles. I was warmly welcome from the moment I walked into the hotel. I got to the hotel at about noon, too early for the official check in time. They had no problem with checking me in early, and with a smile. The breakfast was perfect and perfectly Italian. Coffee of your choice is there for the asking. The juices are wonderful mixes. I am now addicted to red orange juice. Also available for breakfast are cereals, sandwich meats, cheeses, croissants, Italian cakes, fresh fruit, yogurt and more that i am forgetting. The room was comfortable. My room was a single and had a shower only, small shower - completely sufficient. All normal toiletries were in the bathroom. This hotel has an incredible staff. Is located in a completely safe area. Is a perfectly walkable distance from the Bologna Metro station.
I absolutely would advise anyone to stay at Villa Pirandello.

We arrived very late (11:30pm) and the staff immediately greeted us and offered us water and food before checking us in! Fantastic customer service and nice facilities. The only inconvenience is that it was a good (12-15 minute) walk to the subway. I would recommend to my family.

My stay was amazing. I didn't not plan my trip to rome. I was fortunate enough to meet Lucy one of the employees at the hotel. She helped me plan my days in rome. She gave me a lot the advice I needed. She explained all the things I should do and watch for and she was right. The rooms were very clean. The hotel was located in a great area. More then one bus took you to the center of the hotel. Also the train station is location a few minutes away from the hotel. If anyone is coming from fiumcino airport take the the bus to termni. The bus is located outside of the airport it's cheaper then the train. Once you reach termini stop. You can take the n60, n62, n90 and other buses a few minutes away from the stop. I think this hotel made my stay in rome. The breakfast in the morning is amazing. The capuchino was excellent.

Charming Villa

Charming little hotel in a former villa. The rooms are very basic as well as the bathroom. No tub, just a small box shower. Yet the atmosphere was lovely, as the gardens were blooming and we could smell the flowers strongly as we sat on a lovely screened porch for breakfast. We left early to catch a flight and the staff packed us breakfast. The villa is a bit isolated and off the historic center path in a mostly residential area so you need a taxi or a bus. Buses are right in front of the Main Street on both sides.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a flying visit to Rome. Very nice hotel. About 30 minutes walk from Rome main center. Underground and buses nearby. Easy to get into the city center. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good too. Would have liked a kettle in the room but that was our only gripe.

Nice hotel shame about the location

Villa Pirandello was a delightful hotel. Small indoor lounge and nice covered outdoor terrace for breakfast and sitting in the evening. Good breakfast. Extremely helpful staff who all spoke excellent English. They offered a private taxi service for pick up and return to the Airport. Although the bathroom had been refurbished the plumbing connections came away under the sink and were a bit \"wobbly\".
The hotel was located away from the city centre in a quiet residential neighbourhood. It was a 7 minute walk to the Metro. There were a few restaurants and cafes within walking distance, but lacked the city atmosphere. As we were 2 females we didn't feel comfortable walking and travelling on the Metro or paying for taxis so did not venture back into the city after a day's sightseeing. We were bitten badly by mosquitos whilst sitting out in the evening

Nice hotel but fat from the main sites

The hotel is ok but for that money you can probably get seething closer to the main sites. The bus station is close by but it takes like 25-30 minutes by bus (plus another 10 minutes waiting the bus). After a long day having to wait 30-40 minutes to get to the hotel seems like an eternity.

We stayed 6 days and enjoyed the hospitality of a wonderful staff. They all understood English and were eager to help. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. The bath is roomy except for the shower which is the size of a telephone booth. The breakfast was European fare, but there was cereal and fruit as well
Getting to Rome Central can be accomplished. by taking the Blue line from Bologna station, also there is a bus stop close by.
Overall, I would recommend Villa Pirandello to anyone who is looking for a friendly B&B at a fair price.

Neighborhood setting in a big city yet convenient

I picked Villa Pirandello for it's convenience. A metro station is close by and so is an ATM that has an alliance with my bank back in the USA so fees were minimal. We used the metro exclusively to get about in Rome. What surprised us was we felt like we were in a quaint neighborhood within a big city. At the corner was a gorgeous flowering tree and this served as our marker to turn when returning from the metro. You can listen to the birds as you take breakfast on an awning covered porch. Staff was quite pleasant and helpful and amenities were satisfactory. This is a hotel we would stay again if we get back to Rome.

Good hotel within easy reach of the centre of Rome

Clean, friendly hotel, helpful staff.

The room was small but ok for our needs. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good with an ample selection.

However there was no hot water before about 7.30am and it was only warm in the evenings.

The location is about 10 minutes walk from a metro station so easy to get to the centre of Rome. Very quiet street.

Lovely quiet hotel, Excellent staff

Great hotel outside of the busy tourist part if Rome. Quick 8 mins walk to Metro station. Excellent continental breakfast and amazing staff who couldn't do more to help.

Very comfy and homy place

The hotel staff were amazingly friendly and the room was very comfortable. the shower in the bathroom was pretty small and a tight fit, but managable. they offered a free breakfast and it was absolutely delicious and great variety of foods, not the usual continential breakfast. Also the bed in the room was very very comfy.

Completely Awesome!

The hotel is beautifully redone, yet keeps with it's original charm. The staff is kind and hospitable. The best place I stayed in Italy hands down...and I stayed in a fantastic place in Florence!

Decent hotel but not worth the price

The rooms were tiny and not pleasantly decorated. The hotel is a bit far from the Bologna Tube Station. Its a short walk although from the nearest bus station which takes you to Rome City Centre within 15-20 mins. The neighbourhood is good. mostly residential but no eating options nearby other than one or two restaurants which are not very good.

Great base for exploring

Very reasonably priced hotel and a 5 min walk to the nearest metro station (Bologna). The staff are extremely helpful and happy to recommend places to visit. It's only a couple of stops on the metro from places like the Coliseum and the Vatican. Also breakfast is great!

Enchanting boutique hotel

The style and ambience of the hotel, considering the price per night, was truly lovely. It was my first stay in Rome and the villa welcomed me warmly. Lucy (at the desk) was gorgeous, incredibly helpful and quite lovely!!!!! The breakfast room, breakfast and terrace were 5 star and wonderful. An elegant and sweet hotel, I highly recommend if you want to be in Rome but not in the city centre.

Super service and super comfortable

My wife and I loved this hotel which is situated in a great neighborhood, with embassies nearby. The service was outstanding and friendly. Our room was very roomy and clean, with large bath, and with a sofa and desk. We loved everything about our experience here. We walked to restaurants, and to the Villa Borghese. It was an easy commute to all the central Rome attractions via subway and bus.

Nice and Friendly Hotel

Quaint little hotel with B&B feel, in a nice quiet area. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour in the lobby. The only hiccup we had was securing early morning transportation to the airport. Taxis don't seem to know where the hotel is located since it's fairly new and even when you confirm credit cards can be used, that doesn't turn out to be the case. I recommend this hotel -just make sure you have your transportation figured out.

L'hôtel est dans un quartier ou sont de nombreuses ambassade donc au calme. Le petit dejeuner n'est pas tres complet. Pas de croissant ni de pain avant 7h30. Le personnel est vraiment accueillant et a lecoute .

房间有蚂蚁，还有点赖我们带吃的去房间里造成的。换了房间过两天换回去还是有蚂蚁。三楼房间设施破旧，一楼翻新过还可以吧。
