We are Canadians who stayed 2 weeks at this hotel and so happy we did. This hotel offered amazing staff, great atmosphere, fantastic cappuccinos and espresso’s. The breakfast had an abundance of selection. Eggs, bacon the usual and of course Italian style. We would share a bottle of wine on the terrace at night and enjoy the view. We were there Nov 29 until Dec 13. We would say the best time to visit Italy.
We selected this hotel because it was away from the city center and more into the local area. Things were much cheaper especially groceries at PAM local. Favorite restaurant near by was I Belcastro about 10 mins away and the best margarita pizza you will ever taste.
The bus is very close and the number of bus that gets you everywhere is bus 62 or 60. Get a bus pass to save money at the local station. But if you want to burn off calories and take a great walk, we waked about 3 to 5km a day. You won’t even notice that you walked that far because it’s a pleasant walk. So try both. If your like us and don’t want to stay in hotels in the heart of town where a billion people are than choose Hotel Delle Civette.

The room was clean and well equipped. It was cleaned every day. There were fresh towels in the bathroom. Hotel is located next to the beautiful park with birds singing! What a great atmosphere! We also liked the breakfast, so yummy with a variety of food to choose from. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, who likes a quiet neighborhood, away from the tourist noise.

We just left Rome and our Hotel was in very nice neighborhood close to Metro line B Bologna which is 9 min walk from hotel to connect us to city center. Beds were very comfortable we had 3 twin bed room with 2 long closets for all three of our clothes nice medium size bathroom and staff at front desk GREAT CREW

This hotel was absolutely amazing! My sister and I loved the location. Although it’s a bit outside the main city centre, the subway was only about an 8-minute walk away, which made getting around Rome super easy. We even caught the high-speed train just a short 5-minute metro ride away!

The hotel experience was good. Good dine in breakfast and great staff. Very clean overall and close to the Bologna train station! However, i would not stay pass 9pm since the walk back to the hotel was dark, not much light at the entrance of the hotel.

This property was in newly renovated condition unlike any other I have ever stayed at in Rome. It had been part of the original Villa Torlonia and is located outside of the noisy, crowded, touristy sites which made it pleasant. If there was any drawback it was there were not many restaurants close by so access to the Metro, buses and taxis will be necessary.

The hotel is really nice and cosy, it’s clean and it’s located at a quiet nice area in Rom. Unfortunately when I left I was charged twice the city taxes one time at check in and the other on check out. Is this normal ? Also when I was leaving the hotel the elevator was out of service and I had a heavy luggage the man on the front seat never offered me any assistance… appart of that I still recommend the place just be careful about these details .

I would recommend more food options for improvement because you can only eat at breakfast time and the “mini bar” for drinks in the rooms are subject to charge, however no food or snacks at the property. The hotel seems to have been an older people's care home so grab rails in the bathroom and in the corridors, and very high toilets. The bathroom configuration was very weird - had to put feet in shower cubicle when sitting on toilet.
The bed was very firm which was fine for me but may not suit others.

A very nice hotel , located right by the villa Torlonia ( a very stunning park to walk around) the area feels generally safe and the hotel is secure and gated.
On arrival we was greeted by a lovely reception lady who was very helpful and prepared us for our stay ahead and explained everything we needed to know.
The rooms were lovely , double room nice and spacious , beds were very comfy , 2 big large wardrobes a safe , mini bar , hair dryer etc the staff were helpful and cleaned rooms to high standard each day
Breakfast was nice on the 4th floor which has a terrrace overlooking the park which is stunning - the breakfast selection was good a classics continental breakie - toast, crossiants, hams , cheeses , bread , variety of cake selections, fresh fruit , juices , hot drinks, the staff were also very lovely and greeted us each morning.

On arrival we was greeted by a lovely reception lady who was very helpful and prepared us for our stay ahead and explained everything we needed to know.
The rooms were lovely , double room nice and spacious , beds were very comfy , 2 big large wardrobes a safe , mini bar , hair dryer etc the staff were helpful and cleaned rooms to high standard each day
Breakfast was nice on the 4th floor which has a terrrace overlooking the park which is stunning - the breakfast selection was good a classics continental breakie - toast, crossiants, hams , cheeses , bread , variety of cake selections, fresh fruit , juices , hot drinks, the staff were also very lovely and greeted us each morning.

I loved that the hotel was new and clean. All the staff were very helpful, went above and beyond to answer the many questions I had. They patiently helped point me in the right direction for all my queries and the breakfast was delicious. Equally importantly the wifi was brilliant throughout the entire building. This hotel is a real \"find.\" In a city that is otherwise bustling and noisy, this neighbourhood is an oasis of calm and quiet, with parks and gardens. Our room was relatively large and comfortable, and the hotel reception and other staff are efficient, friendly, and very helpful. Only “minus” was that the bed and the pillows were hard, but I find that to be the case in most hotels I’ve stayed in. I would happily return to the Hitel Delle Civette.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s safe, convenient to the metro and bus lines. You can reach the city center via public transport. The hotel is an oasis away from the busyness of downtown. I did not have enough time but there is a lovely terrace and garden parks nearby. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you need to get back to your hotel after the day of sightseeing, then a more centrally located hotel might be better. But if you are going to be out all day have dinner and a gelato, then come back to the oasis, this is the perfect place.

It was our first time in Italy and we could not fault the hotel whatsoever! The room was beautiful and large, the views were stunning, the facilities were on point and the breakfast/bar area was spot on.

This property is perfect respite after the hustle and bustle of all the city excursions. It is one or two metro rides from the main attractions. Breakfast was sufficient to start you the day. Wednesday to Sunday they have roof top light meal dinning and I bought a bottle of wine since it was so good. The winery has history connected with the hotel. Please ask the history of the hotel. Fantastic stay at the Hotel Delle Civette. Staff were professional, polite, helpful and friendly. Roof terrace is fantastic for relaxed evenings watching the sun set and enjoying the piano music. Rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you could need. Hotel does an excellent breakfast and evening snacks are available on the roof terrace. If you fancy something more substantial La Limonaia is only a short walk away. Bologna metro station is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel and gets you into Roma Termini within a very short time or the number 62 bus stops just down the road from the hotel and will get you into the city centre.
