Is a nice hotel to spent one or two nights. This property is not for people with walker or wheel chair. The elevator is small, and you have to take steps to get to it. The room was clean, bed comfortable, but you hear all the noise from the upper room. I dont know if the hotel doesnt have quiet hpurs.

Overall had a good experience. However, when I arrived, I was told that there were some works going on and they didn’t have a room for me. Whilst this was handled amazingly and they transferred me to a different hotel with no extra cost, including paying for the taxi there, it would’ve been nice to receive an email prior to arriving just to be in the loop about it. It did affect plans whilst I was there and I had to alter my itinerary to accommodate. However overall experience was great and would love to stay again :)

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Check in was easy. Hotel room was large. Air conditioning made for great relief from the exceptional heat of the day.

Breakfast was buffet style with a huge variety of sweet and savoury options.

Great hotel, would highly recommend.

Rooms decent size but the a/c in the rooms were a joke. Rome had a heat wave and the a/c was not working. Added to it they gave us rooms on 6th floor with no elevator access. Had to carry luggage from 5th to 1 floor up via stairs. Breakfast was decent but pretty much same menu. Not many restaurant options in and around this location. Had to take bus towards central and get down at intermediate stops for more food options.

Disappointing experience. Don't waste your money

Quite dispappointed with the stay. As hotel is very aged & in poor condition. Rooms are old & small. I have rated oaky only due to good service. Even the breakfast was not great. Cereals at breakfast were cheap & soggy. I will not recommended this place to stay with Kids.

The property is at a great location from the center of rome where all the major landmarks are, they are literally 15-20 minutes away. Great place also for some piece and quiet but still on the city of rome. Over all great location.

My husband and I are Americans who stayed at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our broken Italian language. The breakfast costs $5/day/person (not free continental), and there is very limited parking. But this hotel had great customer service, was close to many places to eat, a small grocery store, coffee shop next door, plus not too far of a drive from all the attractions. This motel was nicely decorated and clean as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to somebody looking for a good place to stay.

4-star hotel? 4 out of 10....maybe. Front desk staff was not friendly, acted like you were bothering them if you had a question. Breakfast buffet was hit and miss, noticed the coffee machine was acting up on multiple days. If the eggs or bacon ran out, it was a 10-15 minute wait before they brought more. Had to ask a few times to get the juice(s) refilled. Empty water bottles left about, just not a pleasant stay.

We have used this hotel before. It is on a busy road so can be quite noisy, but is also on various bus routes so quite convenient for sightseeing and more economical than some more central hotels. There are also two convenient restaurants and a good supermarket within two minutes walk.

On A Winter break in Rome, I found this hotel to be almost perfect, clean comfortable and a very obliging staff.( room change for personal reasons, no problem.) a quick bus ride from the centre.

The interior of the hotel was decorated by dolls and did not give the greatest impression. The room was clean but did not feel welcoming. Very tight space for two double bed room. Washroom not so clean. Overall not the greatest stay and not returning back.

Hotel Santa Costanza was reasonably priced. It has good bus links, the metro is a litte further away. There is a 24/7 nearby and some nice restaurants. The air conditioning was one of the best features and the free wifi too.
Breakfast is basic but for 5 euros per person is actually ok.

Worst hotel I've stayed at

The hotel staff was extremely rude. They bumped our reservation and pretended that it was for us to figure it out. The room was dirty upon arrival we found some used earplugs on the sofa. The breakfast was unpalatable and the room needed an urgent renovation. I'm an avid traveler and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at
definitely not close to a 4 star hotel it pretends to be.

Great hotel. Staff was friendly. Helped with directions. Its 20 min bus ride into Rome. Quiet location. I would book the room again.
I was traveling with my 4 year old and the environment was more geared to a higher class business man. However, I wasn't looking for a kid friendly hotel. The staff was real accommodating helped me into the elevator and was playing/joking with my daughter. Great

This was supposed to be a 4* hotel but was far from that. Terrible customer service, dirty room, dirty hotel in general, small room with hardly no storage and tea and coffee facilities. We booked b&b breakfast was awful we stayed 3 nights first 2 days scrambled egg and what was left of sausages were stone cold and last day there was none at all. One type of fruit , one type of bread, one type of cheese and ham plus cheap tea. Was extremely disappointed with everything at this hotel, have been to France, Spain and Turkey and received excellent breakfast buffets and cleanliness so could compare. I would rate this hotel as a 2* hotel.

I reallly enjoyed my time here. Rooms were very spacious and had a balcony. The washroom was the biggest I have ever stayed in with super hot water! The staff was okay but it depends on who you got. The lady was very unhelpful, couldn't even bother to google something for me but the men were okay. Seconds away from bus stops and minutes away from their metro stop with a 24 hr grocery store nearby. Overall, Id definitely come back here and recommend it to my friends and family. Breakfast buffet was good as well.

Returned to the Santa Costanza and was not disappointed, as a retired solo traveller it was perfect for me. Quiet but with excellent transport links to the centre of Rome. High standard throughout the hotel, with friendly efficient staff.

Highly recommended in quiet part of Rome

One night stay, second time I've stayed there. Very pleasant hotel in all respects; nice rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast compared to most Italian hotels. Obviously slightly out of central Rome but well served by buses along Via Nomentana and by Metro; five minutes walk from St Agnese station and ten minutres walk from Bologna. Several good bars and a good Chinese retaurant in the locality and a short walk to an excellent 24/7 Carrefour which is useful.

We very much enjoyed our stay here with no major problems at all. Considering the price, the location was actually pretty good with a regular bus service into the centre of Rome. The room was spotless clean with air conditioning and a decent bathroom. Only slight complaint was the lack of proper windows (top floor, so only a skylight), which would have made the room even nicer. Hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a decent selection, however some items tended to run out and not be replaced if you didn't get down there really early. Overall, a very pleasant stay for exploring the city.

Very small room with no small bath. Elevator was one of those single
Person types where you have to take two or three trips if you have a lot of luggage. Ended up taking the stairs a lot. Also, it's aways away from central Rome so you have to take a bus to get anywhere. The staff was very frigood madly though.

Great location, safe area, and clean room

If you're looking for a 1-2 night stay in Rome and are on a budget, I highly recommend this hotel. It's about a 5min walk to the metro (train) station that will get you around the city (about 1,5€ per person). There are awesome restaurants down the street, and the people at the front desk were extremely nice. Breakfast was a plus- I thought the food was great! At situated in a very safe and clean area. In addition, the room was extremely clean. There were no air conditioning or water issues. Overall- 5 stars. It was an excellent experience!

Great Little Treasure

I had a great room. It was small, but it was for me alone. Room was clean and well appointed. I had a large L-shaped balcony that overlooked a treed quiet are behind the hotel. Staff directed me to a good restaurant. About 10 minute wald from Bologna Metro station, so you have to be physically able. Internet in the lobby was the WORST I have seen in the world...including India and Argentina. Make sure you have your own internet plan.

Very disappointing experience

I stayed in the hotel for two nights with my girlfriend. The room was old, small and not clean. The air conditioning was not working properly. The sound insulation was bad. You could hear the noise from another room and the corridor. The breakfast provided free of charge but it was terrible. No one cleaned up the table and refilled the food. I had to cleaned the table by myself and waited almost 20mins there for the food and juice to be refilled. There were only 1 bottle opener in the hotel. It took me another 15mins to wait a hotel staff to open the bottle for me by hand. The hotel was far from the nearest Metro station and other tourism attractions.

Grumpy staff and noisy room

If you are not to worried about the concierge being a bit grumpy, unhelpful and obstructive, then you might not mind the place, but we were very disappointed. Its a little out of town, but actually not really that far, easily accessible by Metro, and we even walked to the Colosseum, as it was such a lovely day, but the hotel itself was not somewhere I would stay again. Our room was very noisy, I think we were located near a drain, or downpipe, but it seemed at times that there was someone actually having a shower in the room, the walls are paper thin, and we could hear everything going on in the other rooms. They were also really unhelpful, we asked for an iron, and were told that there wasn't one available. We asked the concierge to book a specific restaurant for us, but he told us he couldn't. The hot water and electricity were off for several hours one morning, which i don't believe was their fault, but it was communicated badly to us. Breakfast was okay.

Good Hotel!

A good and clean hotel. It's a ten min walk to the underground tube station and only a few stops from the Collesseum. Breakfast is an assortment of cold meats, toast, cheese, drinks and fruit. Rooms are clean and the hot water works great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would I use this hotel agin if I went back to Rome- Yes.

The room was quite small tucked into the roof space of the hotel. The staff spoke good English and were always very helpful. Its well located for transport despite being on the edge of the city center. Its not quite what I would call 4 star but its ok as more of a bed and breakfast stop for days out.

My daughter and son in law stayed in the Santa Costanza for their honeymoon 2 years ago and recommended it to us. They also came with us. A lovely hotel with very obliging staff. On arrival we found our room to be quite small. One call to reception had us moved to a bigger room on the 5th floor (there is an elevator) with a balcony. No fuss whatsoever. We were only about 10 mins walk to the Metro to take us to all the famous landmarks. Locally, there are excellent restaurants all within walking distance. Breakfast is served in a lovely room and consisted of hot and cold foods. There was always plenty of choice. There wasn't a kettle in the room to make your own hot drinks but you only had to ask and one would be made for you. There is a mini bar. We used this to keep our drinks cold! The beds were very comfortable. Great towels of varying sizes replaced everyday and complimentary shower products. There is a small bar in reception if you need an aperitif before going out or if you want to sit and relax. As this was our first experience of Italy I'm glad it was so positive. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely return.

Enjoyed my stay, was a very good choice.

The staff were helpful. Breakfast with that little extra made this a 4 star hotel. No daily room service, having only stayed a few nights this was passable. Would have liked to control the temperature of the room but it was still cooler than outside. Would have liked COFFEE & TEA facilities in the room.
Am definitely returning to this hotel on my next trip to Rome & will recommend to friends.

The hotel was very lovely and clean. We had a buffet breakfast in the morning which was great and kept us until the evening where we went out for dinner. The staff were polite and smart and answered any questions we had. Our room was tidied everyday, and it was a great space for the three of us! We constantly saw staff cleaning the hotel and had help with our luggage when we arrived as we were on the top floor! The hotel was a little way out of the center, but only a ten minute tram ride away which was ideal because it was within easy travel distance but wasn't in the hustle and bustle of the center so much less noise!

I was very pleased with my stay at the Santa Costanza Hotel. The room was extremely clean and comfortable,the staff was extremely helpful & the breakfast buffet was very,very good. The hotel was 2 minutes from the bus stop & only 15 minutes away from Termini Station.It was only a short walk to restaurants, convenience stores,a deli,pharmacy,tavern, & a grocery store. It was perfect for my needs.My brother visits Rome often & on his next trip he plans to stay at the Hotel Santa Costanza also.

Nice hotel, but slightly run out

Hotel was OK, but our friends stayed in 4* and it was much nicer for getting a good rest there after a week of Rome experience. The hotel is on a busy street and not sound proofed. We heard old lady talking much after 11pm and starting her phone conversation again before 7ap the following morning. Thankfully, she stayed for 2 nights only. The shower is quite small, but all facilities were in good condition for a 3* hotel.

The Santa Constanza is a well established and well run hotel. It is clean and tidily decorated.The staff are friendly, efficient and very helpful. The breakfast was better than we expected although the coffee is dreadful. A good hotel just a little out of the city but very close to a regular bus route.

Smoky non-smoking TINY room. Washing room is not well maintained.The price is good if you get a large discount. Otherwise, you can find a better hotel at this price. The hotel is near Metro (subway), but far from city and airport. The front desk is OK, but lower than average. The room service is \"24/7\" even you do not need it, and the room will always be cleaned.

A brilliant place to stay in Rome

Loved every day of my stay. Staff were very efficient , friendly and very professional. The location was ideal only two short bus stops from Bologna metro station. I never had to take a bus choosing to walk from the station. There is also a bus and team stop with a few meters of the hotel. Nice and quiet neighbourhood. Nice trendy bar and restaurant within easy reach for when I needed to hang out nearby. Breakfast was continental. I liked the range available. The gentleman in the breakfast room was very sociable and welcoming. My room was kept in absolutely clean and fresh condition throughout my stay. And made my stay a very co fortable one. There was plenty of natural light coming into the room. To top it all of the price I paid really was fair. I would definitely want to stay there again if I went back to Rome. Brilliant.

Lovely hotel outside of city center. I know Rome well so I had no issues with walking (about 1 hour) to downtown Rome, or taking the subway, which is easily accessible from hotel and about a 10-15 ride to downtown. Staff at hotel are very engaging, pleasant and courteous. Hotel itself was extremely clean and very comfortable. This is not a luxurious experience; it's a comfortable and pleasing experience. Breakfast was good and my room was quite quiet. This is a great deal for the money if you're willing to be off the beaten path. Genuine neighborhood with non-touristy shops, restaurants, etc. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Rome!

Great value for city breaks

Although a bit out of the city centre the hotel had very good bus links. The room was very clean, breakfast fresh and pleasant and we found the staff helpful. We would also recomend anyone staying here to the MomArt restaurant just down the road.

Good value and comfortable

The hotel is well appointed and comfortable. The only sight criticism would be the arrangement of the ensuite bathrrom - in a small space there was bath, sink, toilet and bidet. It means that there is not much room to move about and the towel rail being above the bidet meant you had to be careful getting towels down and putting them up. For a short stay this is not too much of a problem, but may become an issue for a longer stay.
