I really liked staying here for 4 nights and would definitely come back. It's location within the old city walls of Chiang Mai is perfect for walking around the historic city and seeing nearly all of the important sites. And the street is very quiet and tucked away from any traffic noise. The room itself was a bit dated, but that's part of the charm of the property itself -- which is very comfortable and cozy -- and honestly feels like home. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. And the breakfast offered plenty of options to fuel me up for the day. Highly recommend!

Thom went above and beyond fir me. A third-party agent had lost my booking at a sanctuary. I had given up on retreiving my payment as i couldn't reach the agent. About 90 min later, Thom emailed me to say they had found the reservation and i was booked for the next day.

Lee Chiang is a quaint boutique hotel in the Old City of Chiang Mai. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The front section of the hotel is so tranquil with all the plants. We would definitely stay here the next time we visit Chiang Mai!

The rooms were a bit on the small side, but very clean. The hotel management was most congenital in allowing us to make changes to our Expedia reservation, saving us another expenditure. A lovely stay here, really close to some nice main parts in the old city. Staff were wonderful (always willing to help wherever, taking cases up & down from the room, offering extra water, got our room ready for us 30 mins before official check-in, great food recs). We were there during the Loy Krathong festival and one day came back to the hotel to find a couple of decorations related to the festival and an explanation of the festival left in our room. The breakfasts were delicious. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Chaing Mai.

Our only complaint was that the rooms would often get hot and stuffy, with the AC not the greatest of them all. We would have liked to be able to leave our AC on when we left (but this is not standard across Thailand as your key is the room's electricity). The place was clean, perfect size, and worked well for a few nights in Chiang Mai.

The Lee Chiang Hotel is within the old walled city, at one end at the edge of one of the monasteries. It is very convenient to the walled city neighborhoods and markets, but in a quiet corner especially quiet at night when the markets are noisy.

Fantastic place, everything a hotel should be, clean, tidy, everyone was super helpful and friendly. Breakfast which we weren’t expecting was great, staff even got breakfast ready early for us when we had an excursion. Would happily go stay again if I’m ever in Chiang Mai again great location, easily walkable to great restaurants and temple. Very peaceful.

OK for only a short stay
I booked it because of all the good reviews, but I find it a little lacking. There is no hot/warm water in the bathroom sink (I do not like washing my face w/cold water), no counter in the bathroom, other than a small glass shelf under the mirror and there is an odor in the room. I think the smell is coming from the AC. It was very dark inside but they changed to a brighter light bulb right away, service is very good, helpful with information etc. Locationbis great, walked everywhere . Breakfast was adequate, for the price you pay, it's not too bad

Once we realized that in Thailand it’s normal to have no hot water at the bathroom things were great. A small hotel with a family like feeling. Very centrally located in old town. The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area in the old town. It was also within 5 min walk to get into the main street for meals, convenience stores, massage and visiting temples. The staffs were able to converse in English fluently, provided advise on local attractions and taxi arrangement. The hotel is well kept, room is clean, comfortable bed and has all the basic needs. This was the perfect hotel for our stay in Chiang Mai! This beautiful hotel was an easy 7-8 minute drive from the airport and located on a quiet street in the center of the city. Everything was very easy to walk to. The breakfast was delicious and rooms spacious and very comfortable. I think the best part of the stay were the hotel staff! Extremely friendly and welcoming. They are always looking to help you but also genuinely curious and caring. When I come back I’d love to stay here again!

The staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive. Every morning, they asked about our plans for the day and provided us with useful travel tips and suggested places to see. They informed us about the different transportation options and approximate cost. They also arranged a taxi ride from the hotel to get us to airport on time. For the complimentary breakfast, they offered a variety of freshly prepared Thai dishes, fresh fruit, and western options. They all tasted delicious. When we came back late at night, they had a security guard working there to make sure the place was safe. Our room was clean, comfortable, modern, and well decorated. The hotel environment was quiet and relaxing and the surrounding area felt safe. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Chiang Mai.

Hotel location is in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. We were surprised and delighted when he gave us 500 bhat this morning as an apology and small refund. This came out of the hotel and not the tour company. To top this off he farewelled us as we left and told me he had taken care of the taxi for us. A truely lovely and kind hearted man who has nothing but the best interests and comfort of his guests at hand.

The manager of the hotel (Kishore) was there all the time ensuring that everything run smoothly, from giving you directions to attractions to helping picking up dishes over breakfast if needed.
The room was spacious and extremely clean. We had great towel service that became handy when visiting the elephant santuary. Everything in the room was definitely well maintained and working as a charm.
The internet was really fast and had independent routers (not extenders) in every floor, ensuring that the download and upload speed was quite fast. They even had 2 internet service providers to make sure we had internet if one of the providers ever failed (it doesnt really happen).

Lastly, breakfast was fabulous. Eggs made to order, local and international food (buffet style) with lots and lots of options including curry, veggies, rice, fruits, tea, coffee, bread, cereals, oatmeal, juices, yogurt, milk, the list is almost endless!!
We just hope to find a hotel as good as Le Chiang in the rest of our stay in Thailand!
The room was spacious and extremely clean. We had great towel service that became handy when visiting the elephant santuary. Everything in the room was definitely well maintained and working as a charm.
The internet was really fast and had independent routers (not extenders) in every floor, ensuring that the download and upload speed was quite fast. They even had 2 internet service providers to make sure we had internet if one of the providers ever failed (it doesnt really happen).

Although officially a 3-star hotel, the service quality exceeds 4-star standards. The management sarisfied all our extra requests which we did really appreciate, this one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.
The hotel is close to Wat Phra Singh, however, if you would like to visit 5-6 other important temples, you have to walk to the Eastern side of the old city, which might take a while.
Red trucks as taxis take you around the neighborhood for thb30 per person. You can negotiate round-trips to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep or Tiger Kingdom for a total of thb500-600.
Don’t forget to visit the thai market in the evening at Chiang Mai gate (Southern entry point) for cheap street food. The official night bazaar is rather disappointing, you can make better deals on the streets around.

Located within the Old City.in a quiet street off allows the hotel to be free from outside traffic noise. It is within a 1 minute walk to Wat Phra Singh temple and close many others within a 10-20minute walk. with food outlets 5-10mins walk.

Great WiFi, comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast and very helpful staff. Hot showers too and housekeeping were prompt every day. They also had free bikes we used to explore around Chiang Mai and free luggage storage too.

Stay was lovely! Staff was super helpful and got us accommodated quickly and even helped us get our elephant tour booked! It's in a quiet area which was great for sleep and roughly a 20-30min walk to the main market strip (or a quick tuk tuk). We really enjoyed the restaurant that was at the end of the street across the way which had amazing prices and was delicious!

Great way to end my trip. This hotel is a bit tucked away down an alley, but just a short walk from plenty of action. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The modern double room was perfect. Very clean and comfortable room. Once again, the enclosed shower is something I really appreciate in Thailand since a lot of places don't have it, so I was very happy with the bathroom and room overall. Would definitely consider staying here again when I return next year.

A little scary to pull up to the street where Hotel is located, but what a pleasant surprise after that. The hotel is located across the street from where local Thai families live so it's not super fancy. The Hotel is run by the sweetest staff who work super hard. They even arranged many of our excursions with only reputable/ethical companies. Breakfast was fantastic and my room was super clean. Love the modern and updated bathroom.

There are many things to see/do near the hotel. The staff are the best thing about the hotel. They are very helpful! The location seems a little odd at first, and it's somewhat difficult to find, but soon you'll realize most things in the city are that way. Centrally located near SP Chicken and Huen Peng, as well as the Sunday night market. Great location and even better staff!!
