I had to wait an extra hour beyond normal check-in time because the housekeepers were running behind. When I got access to my room there was an absolutely horrible yet unidentifiable smell that made my room barely tolerable. The floors had residual cleaning fluid, and the towels and the sheets were super old. Some of the towels were not even white. Yuck!

I arrived when it was dark out and I almost didn’t notice housekeeping or someone else left the first floor window wide open. There wasn’t even a screen and it was hidden by the curtain so I could have had an intruder come in overnight. I’m a female solo traveler so this hotel put me in serious danger.

Air condition did not work, Terrible dust in vent (held up by twist nut (not screws),
Door dead bold locked, but cold not unlock it! It took over 45 seconds in a panic to unlock.
The place was occupied by people living there, not nightly guests.
Smelled like stale smoke.
"24 hour staff" was unresponsive.

We did not stay here, I felt unsafe. Got a full refund.

I understand you get what you pay for, but this place was awful! Looked more like a pay by the week situation. Many people living at this motel. One room had 3 people, 3 large dogs, and the dogs were just lunging at people as you walked by. People just hanging out drinking. The beds were horrible. You could feel the springs. Save your money, go somewhere else!

The room reeked of smoke (non-smoking) to the point of it interrupting sleep. There were two cockroaches, one was alive! One was on the sheets. Scary area. The pool gate locked us in and we had the scale the fence to get OUT.

Also, the cigarette smoke permeated the entire property.

Arrived to check-in a little late. Check in was fine, however it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the motel had no TV and internet was down.

I'm extremely irritated having to pay forva room with vital services.

I was put in room #109 which ended up being a handicap room(which I absolutely did not request)

Additionally the room was seperated by a door
I could hear the next door guests conversations very clearly (which not having a TV made everything exponentially worse)
VERY POOR AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Less than ideal would be ok but I've stayed in barns in South and Central America that were more comfortable than this motel. The room wreaked of cleaning perfumes so I left the door open while I unpacked. As the perfume smell diminished another, familiar odor took over: the smell of cockroach feces. I know the smell because I purchased an apartment house that was infested and it required removal of some interior walls to remedy. Then I saw a few after getting out of the shower. I was exhausted, it was quite late so decided to stay. I should not have. The heat did not work, the neighbors were noisy, the floor felt grimy so a took a damp wash cloth, dropped it on the floor and swiped the floor with my foot. Wash cloth is pictured. Then while tryin to go to sleep I noticed the fire/ smoke detector was missing.

Appeared to be an extended stay motel. Many guest rooms were obviously occupied by people who were living there long term.

In the room a section of the ceiling was falling down. The shower curtain had stains. And ther wa no furniture other than the bed.

Where do I start?.. I went on to the motel 6 website and Hotels.com to check pricing and the price for what we wanted for the night was same on both places. I decided to call and confirm we could check in really late and the lady asked how long we would be staying and that it would be almost double and she would take my credit card. Politely, I told her that I would just book online because it was much cheaper. She then told me they were sold out at the price I was looking at. I replied telling her I was looking at their website and on another and they both say the same thing. She then tells me ok well I can try paying online and if there are any problems to call her back. I was able to pay online. I also want to mention that the next two nights we stayed at other motel 6’s (we were driving across the country) we paid same listed price. Anyways, we get there and I’m not sure if it was the same lady but she tells me she is putting me up front down stairs room 105. Ok.. which happens to be next to a “resident” that had his window next to our wall open all night. He had a bbq outside his door and the next morning I heard commotion and saw he was letting his dog pee right outside the on the sidewalk ramp that I might have wheeled my suitcase through when we left thinking it was just water. The room was clean except for dirty air vent and the toilet ran all night. I just closed the door. Would not recommend.

#1)- There was miscommunication on the amount of days I was staying... #2)- The heater in the I was given was not working .. it only work for a short while .. no heat after 30mins . #3)- they threw out all my stuff into the garbage can as a result of them assuming that I was checked out already for the third day when we already had an agreement that I was going to be coming back for that third night into Sunday they had no reason to throw away my stuff into the garbage without contacting me or going through it.. they also was some of my stuff missing some medication that I needed to take for chronic pain is also missing it was stolen out of my stuff from the time that they took all the stuff and threw it in the garbage it was not in the garbage when I looked it was not in my stuff as I looked... as a result this was the worst day of my entire time I used to stay there all the time and it worked out great but this was the worst visit I've had.. with stolen property and miscommunication and assumption that I was gone already without a phone call or even contacting me.

This hotel is a good example of “you get what you pay for”. It was very inexpensive, especially since dogs stay free. We were getting in late and leaving early so we chose this hotel for a short stop. The front desk person was super friendly. The motel grounds were dirty and the room was ok, not spotless but not awful. It was quiet and the bed was adequate. It served its purpose.

We were assigned room 204. That room is haunted. My mother dropped her wallet full of coins. Nothing!! No coins were recovered. That’s over $10 worth of coins!! We looked everywhere and not a single coin in sight. Then we were locked in the room. I called front desk and she said that happened all the time. Then we were given room 206. That room was super hot!!! The clerk didn’t say anything but left us there. We had our door propped open for over an hour to cool that room down. We were super tired and didn’t ask to be moved to a different room. But that was bad service. We are not coming back there again.

Clean room, front desk staff was very nice and friendly. Perfect quiet spot in the motel to take my little dog outside. Stayed in the same room (107) in August and the outlet plug in the bathroom STILL doesn't work. Good thing I travel with my multi plug surge protector so I can charge my phone, dry my hair etc. That's my only complaint.

Horrible property. The bed was probably 30-40 years old. Sagged horribly. Could feel the springs. The room smelled like old smoke and musty. The baseboards weren’t even painted although the walls and ceiling appeared to be. The floor has a greasy film on it. Other than that it looked like it was clean. Just LOW LOW end fixtures and an unforgivably poor mattress. There are rooms with grills outside if that tells you anything. And shirtless drunken men and at least one of them was walking around with no shirt but a holstered pistol, drunk. Lots of sketchy people. All these positive reviews must be these residents. Overpriced budget motel for sure. Especially for this area which appears economically depressed.

You get what you pay for here. This hotel is basically for long term guests. After seeing signs of drug use, the extremely poor wifi, pry marks/dents on my hotel room door, i was not able to sleep very well. The room itself is very old feeling, no usb outlets, old tv and so on. Im generally a pretty forgiving person but this is the last time i stay at a motel 6.

I appreciate the fact that they gave us a bottom floor for my partner who is blind, but my room was not clean. I had dirty socks behind the door. The bedsheets did not fit the bed. We had to use the top sheet as a fitted sheet for the bed there was old popcorn behind the nightstand popcorn under the phone. I booked my hotel for three nights and got charged for four and they said that’s because you check out on the fourth day well I checked out at 6:30 in the morning to drive back to where I was living. Neighbors were loud and fighting and smoking weed that would come into our room, causing us have to air out our room so the dog can be in there safely yelling until almost midnight slamming doors next-door. Definitely do not recommend this place.

We have stayed in heaps of motel 6. This was the second worst. We paid to upgrade to a queen bed but it was pushed up against a wall so access for the second person was very hard over the first. The bed was very poor comfort. There was unprotected wiring on the wall. There was only a bar of soap no shampoo but worst of all it was absolutely filthy. The floor needed washed desperately. Don’t stay here unless there is no where else to go.

I stayed at this property two times almost exactly two weeks apart. The first time, the original room had an issue with the TV remote, but everything else was ok. The second time, the AC was terrible and the bed was extremely uncomfortable making for a horrible night's rest. I doubt I will stop back through, but if I do I will likely stay at a different property.

The place was quite handy, because shops and restaurants were around.
The swimming pool was a bit shady like the bedroom. Cigarettes burns were on the cover of the bed.
We had some issues with the security handle of the main door, i couldn't completely close the door. The smelling in the bedroom was parfumed by the cigarettes smoke. The air conditioned was fool of dust. It s a pity.

For the most part, I have come to expect a clean, basic and comfortable room from Motel 6 and Holbrook Motel 6 met those expections in spades. I have no need for all the amendities that earn three to five stars for other motels and hotels at double the cost and more. I got exactly what I needrf.

Stacy at check in could not be more kind and patient as well as professional. The room cleaning person did a fine job and even gave some thoughout touches. The bath room was clean as was the bed and rest of the room. I would have liked to be able to adjust the air conditioning higher but that is less of an issue than having the room too hot in Arizona. I would gladly stay again.
