When I booked a stay in Holbrook, AZ, I didn’t expect much. What I found at the BW Arizonian was a very pleasant surprise. It was clear that the rooms had been recently refurbished and repainted, with new fixtures and a very comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was a cut above the typical buffet at a “breakfast included” hotel. And the staff was very efficient and helpful.

Parking was easy, right in front of our room. Staff was excellent, getting a 1st floor room for my mom who can’t walk stairs. They also accommodated our room right next to theirs. Only issue was how loud it was in the morning (starting around 5am). Having rooms with doors that face the parking lot, there was a lot of guests making noise, loading up their vehicles, delivery vehicles with back up beeps going off, reducing made it hard to sleep in a little. Grounds were clean and staff was friendly.

The breakfast menu was okay. It was just basic foods that could be microwaved (eggs - likely boxed, bacon, yogurt, muffins, cereal, bagels, bread, and English muffins. They also had a pancake dispenser, which was unique.

The room was decent, but we found a Trojan wrapper in the bathroom on the ceiling air vent.

The hotel was a short drive to the Petrified Forest National Park. We drove in from Texas and the hotel was great for our overnight stay.

The room was clean for the most part. The remote was sticky and missing a battery, the light switch between the beds also were also sticky. I stayed 2 nights, no one cleaned the room after the first night, which isn’t too big a deal but they could’ve at least brought fresh towels. They also only made my key good for one night, which was annoying considering I was exhausted at the end of the day, I carried a lot of things up and had to carry them all back down to get my key card renewed and then back up the stairs to my room. It was also freezing outside.

This hotel or should I say motel is not any where near the Best Western caliber that I am accustomed to. This was more like a Red Roof Inn or Motel 6. It was not clean, the rooms were old and drab. I was afraid to stay there. I would have rather slept in my vehicle. I think that the photos were photoshopped as nothing in real life appeared like them. Best Western needs to go check this establishment to access whether this is a venue that they want on their hotel roster. I would not recommend this motel on any terms. I am thankful Expedia refunded my money because the hotel refused to.

No frills, but a great place to stay

Ok, so this is a motel-style building and it is by no means luxury amenities, but we had a lovely stay here while visiting Petrified Forest National Park. The rooms were clean, staff were attentive (it’s almost unheard of now to get a call from the front desk after you check in asking if everything is good with your room), during breakfast the staff was regularly cleaning and restocking food items and the rooms were spacious.

One nighter

Not so dog friendly as I was told to remove dog from lobby and take outside in the cold and wind while checking in. Clerk seemed annoyed, rushed and abrupt. Very nice hotel refurbished. Extremely quiet. Breakfast quite good, better than most.

Average, older hotel with nice size rooms. Used Lysol to help with musty odor upon entering, otherwise OK stay for 1 night. Not much else in the area to choose from in terms of hotels although the Days Inn looked pretty good from the outside.

We were going to visit Petrified Forest, national Park 25 miles away and Holbrook was the nearest town. Other than that the hotel room was old and small. However, the price we paid was low enough and we got early check-in . the fridge was new and the beds were decent. The bathroom was very small as the hotel was apparently old. good customer service. The hot Breakfast was good. No fresh fruits though. We left early because of a snow storm with accumulation and did not stay the second day that we already paid for
