Perfect location, friendliest, most helpful staff

Wow! This is what we kept saying every time we walked into the Khmer House Resort. So beautiful. So peaceful. But it's the outstanding service and endless smiles and friendly gestures from the staff that remain inside our memories.

We stayed 7 nights, early Dec, 2024; the third stop of our honeymoon. We are healthy, in our adventurous 60s. Following Bangkok and Tonsai Beach, Cambodia is different. Very different. 1.2 mil people, and few stop signs. It works. Khmer House was in the absolute perfect location. Far enough distance from the main street and Pub Street, and its walls and hedges kept traffic noise non-existent.

Transportation from the resort was an easy task, many thanks to the staff. We cycled a few times, bikes and guide waiting on us several mornings. Don't skip the breakfasts at the resort! Good selection of healthy meals, whether a high protein bowl, or eggs and avocado on toast. Their chef is excellent! Service A+.

We had our evening meals here more often than what we had expected. Reasons are because of the food, especially their curry, priced similar, or even lower, than in Seim Reap. So good! And sitting outside near the pool was very romantic. Wonderful choices of drinks.

We walked into town most mornings. Take a right and the sights, sounds and smells of Cambodia come alive, and soon you're in the heart of Siem Reap. Organized chaos. Walking is a breeze, but cycling is not for the feint of heart. But never felt dangerous.

Definitely stay here! Look no further!

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights and this was his favorite hotel out of the 5 places we stayed during our trip. He said he would build a house in the style of the hotel if he could build a house LOL. The restaurant at this hotel was the best one we had during our whole stay. Amazing options for vegetarians too (me!). Definitely pay extra for breakfast. I think it was $6 per person if you pay at the hotel. Room was spotless. There was a huge bathtub in our room, as well as a huge shower (separate!). One day we wanted to use the spa, but it was already booked so they had the massage ladies come to our room for our foot massage instead! So that was nice. Also the tuktuk is free to town (but you get your own ride back). Short ride though, like 6 mins / $1-$2. We didn't swim but the pools looked spotless and very inviting. Anyway, we had a great time here and honestly I'd come back to Cambodia just to stay at this hotel.

The day staff members were not pleasant. Also, they are not very accommodating. My dad was cold at night and we asked for an extra blanket, they said it cost us $5 extra each day. Most hotels would be obliging but not this one. It's just a piece of clothing - they told me it would cost a lot to wash it.

Incredible stay for Anniversary

I give our stay at the Khmer house 10/10. Because of covid 19. There wasn’t many at hotel. So we were upgraded to a better room with pool view. The manager and staff were incredible in being there for every need we had. The 2 pools were very nice to use. The food at the restaurant was delicious authentic Japanese. The Happy hour for cocktails was also nice with dinner! We would definitely stay here again and tell all our friends to stay here.

Wonderful pools, salt and fresh. Food was ok. For some reason they couldn't do over easy eggs for breakfast. Always came back with \"hard\" yolks. Everyone extremely pleasant though. A bit far from town and activities. You need a $3 tuktuk each way and a little difficult to find.

The welcome and stay at the hotel was great. Beautiful pool helpful smiling staff and spacious comfortable room. The location was great in that it was far enough away from the centre to be quiet and a short tuk tuk in (complimentary in and $3 back). Only downside was not being able to walk to restaurants or shops due to the road was incredibly dusty and bumpy and during the rainy season apparently very difficult according to locals. However if I returned I would be very happy to stay here again and would recommend it.

1. Staff is very friendly. When we first arrived at night of Dec 30, the lady (sorry we didn’t remember her name) was very nice and professional. She introduced hotel facility to us and tour options per our request. She talked slowly to make sure we understood.
2. Hotel offered free tuk-tuk to pick us from the airport and every time when we went out. It’ll be better if hotel can give options of car pick up from airport because of distance.
3. Hotel is nice with two big pools, one of which is salty water. Nice plants in the hotel too.
4. Our room is big and nice. It’ll be better if hotel can offer one-time slippers.
5. Breakfast is ok. We came to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh. Breakfast in Phnom Penh is big serve and we can ask more if needed thought it’s also breakfast set style. So we expected similar here. Fruit is small serve in a big plate. It may look better if put in small plate.
6. There are happy hour before 19:00. Sometimes music from restaurant is a little loud and noisy. I personally suggest light and nice music to give customers peace.
7. Personally suggest if there is more decorations in restaurant, it’ll make a more welcoming environment.
8. We had planned to ride a bike on 3rd day so asked hotel to rent two bikes. But because I got sun burnt, we had to cancel the trip. The staff was very helpful to talk to the bike trip vendor to cancel. So we didn’t pay.
9. The taxis driver who sent us to airport is very nice and thoughtful for his people in hotel.

Beautiful hotel facilities, especially the pools and the bathtubs. The location is a bit off the beaten track, but they offer free tuk tuks to town and you can get one back for USD 3 or so. They have a freshwater and saltwater pool so you can take your pick. The rooms are also very spacious, however the beds are very firm (like sleeping on a slab of concrete). My only other complaint would be the service. The staff were not very helpful and we had to call them multiple times regarding the laundry we had done.

Loved everything! Would definitely stay again. Already dreaming of it!
Staff were so attentive, friendly and efficient. 2 fabulous pools, that were never very busy when we were there. Free tuk tuk to town centre whenever we wanted (you get the 1 back at 2-3 US). Very relaxing, comfortable bed. Reception staff especially helpful, booked our bus tickets at no extra charge.
Some good eco touches such as shampoo and gel in ceramic jars, refilled each day. But suggest guests take a waterbottle and ask for it to be re-filled in reception or restaurant...this is not advertised, but otherwise you will use tens of small 330ml plastic bottles! Suggestion to management...offer filtered water to your guests in jars, or suggest they use a water bottle. Offer guests the chance to re-use their towels, as our we're changed everyday and we had no need for that.
If you are looking for a great place to relax, look no further!

What made this place special is the great service from all of the staff. Cheata, Kakada and the great wait staff at the restaurant were just fabulous. They can arrange all the tours and dinner reservations for you. Thought the hotel was further away from the center of the action, getting the front desk to arrange a tuk tuk was a breeze. Even coming back to the hotel was never an issue. I loved the two pools. Rooms were cleaned daily and the bathrooms are huge. Pity about the mosquitos but its part and parcel of the territory.

The property is beautiful and quiet. The staff helped me at every turn the restaurant served tasty food.

The only drawback is that it is on a dirt road off. It isn't far to main streets. But it was a one stop shop for me - food, tour setup, massage.

We stayed at this establishment after reading the glowing recommendations! Wow! Khmer House was immensely impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I booked online and let them know I was coming from another hotel so they sent a complimentary tuk tuk to collect us - a lovely personal touch! We were warmly welcomed and made to feel somewhat spoilt with attention. The staff were attentive to every need and super friendly. All staff spoke great English and it was enjoyable conversing with them. Breakfast although not a buffet style like we are used to but was a set menu and made to order. The food was amazing and enjoyed lunch or dinner there if we were relaxing and didn't want to head out for dinner. Free tuk tuk shuttle to pub street so only pay to return :)
We stayed in the modern style rooms and they were large, clean and comfortable! Pool was close by to the room and beautifully maintained as was the whole property. There was no negative for this property and we look forward to staying there again when we return to Cambodia

Really beautiful hotel with exceptional staff. The food at the restaurant was also good and they were great at accommodating me as a vegetarian. It is a bit out of town but the hotel provides free tuktuk rides into the city so it isn't a problem. They also will arrange tours for you to Angkor. If you want to be in the center of the action in Siem Reap, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and romantic retreat, this is it.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was spacious, it is equipped with everything we needed (except a drying rack for our wet clothes). Staff were very attentive and flexible and they helped us with arranging tuk-tuks and local tours.

The hotel is a bit off from the city, so we moved around with Tuk-Tuks at all times.

Hint: don't let yourself ripped off by freelance tuk-tuk drivers, order yours through PassApp.

Favourite hotel in Cambodia. Wasn’t expecting it’s to be so amazing as the price was so affordable. I have stayed in a few hotels in Cambodia and this was by far the best. Staff were the right amount of friendly and helpful!! Rooms were a great size, toiletries were organic and locally made and I was even given pink rock salt to add to my bath. As it’s relatively new this place hasn’t quite taken off yet for the big groups of tourists yet.. which is kind of nice.. but I do wish them well. Don’t be worried when the tuk tuk takes you down a long dusty road... an oasis exists and two pools are waiting for you!

This lovely secret oasis was the last hotel on a 3 week Vietnam and Cambodia vacation and it was EXCEPTIONAL! A perfect and affordable way to relax in the countryside with peaceful birdsongs, the occasional gecko, butterflies and dragonflies while lounging poolside. The staff was especially kind, the room was lovely and I was able to meet the hardworking, dedicated owner as well. The only downside were a few mistakes with reservations, I would have liked more team coordination and accuracy but this was a small inconvenience and I am truly grateful for this peaceful sanctuary. I hope to be back soon!

Extremely well trained and professional staff. Always smiling and genuinely kind. Free tuk tuk pick up at airport went smooth, driver was waiting for us at the exit. Room is big, clean, bed is super comfy. Bathroom is the best with huge bathtub. One medium sized swimming pool perfect for relaxing, and one 30-35m long swimming pool perfect for swimming. Breakfast is good, with several choices (scrambled eggs, fried eggs, omelet, muesli + fruit salad with yoghurt and honey, khmer noodle soup...all of those coming with drink and fruit platter). Location was perfect for us since we wanted to be away from the noise of the city. Pub st is a 10mn (free) tuk tuk ride from the hotel. Return is 3 usd. Again, a big thank you to all the amazing staff and very efficient management for making our stay a perfect one. Will definitely come back.

It was amazing. Clean room, property and such friendly staff! I just wish it was around more stuff so I wouldn't have to take a tuk tuk every time I wanted to leave the area. I really enjoy walking but there is literally nothing around. They do offer you a free tuk tuk ride into the city so that's nice, you just have to pay to get one back.They also offer you a free airport pick up OR drop off. I was a bit confused because I thought it was free both ways but whatever. I came in via bus and they were so nice to pick me up from the bus station, even after my bus was delayed by two hours. 10/10 would stay again but with a partner, it was a bit too much for my solo trip. Also, I was able to do laundry there for cheap. I really enjoyed my stay <3

What can I say... It's a lovely little oasis. Our room was clean, spacious and well adorned rooms. Two pools (one salt water and one fresh water), which were great for afternoon swims after touring temples. Good breakfast in the morning. A little bit out of town, but the hotel also provides a free tuk tuk to downtown go downtown andi it's only 2 -3 dollars for a tuk tuk back. Very short ride, so no worries with wasting time. Staff are smiling, friendly providing excellent service. They helped organise tours for us and transportation. Would gladly stay here again.

Little Oasis in Siem Reap.

The hotel was quite new,very clean and had big and comfy rooms.

Location was a bit out of town but they provide free tuk tuk into town. Return is about US$3.

Breakfast was provided and tasty. If you need to go see an early sunrise at Angkor Wat they even give you a picnic basket to take along with you. Amazing! Dinner in the cafe was good too.

The hotel also has two pools. One salt water and one fresh water.

The staff are amazing! So warm and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is an excellent hotel, located about 2 km from city Centre and with a country vibe to it. With two pools ir affords guests the opportunity to cool down especially after a trip to Angkor Wat.
The bathroom style is really pleasant and quite different to home.
Hotel provides a free tuk tuk to town on request (about 10 minutes max drive). 3$ Cost of a tuk tuk to get back. I reckon this is a standard minimum price.
All staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful. English is understood by all and I suspect French language also. We stayed overall 6 nights in two blocks with a trip to Battambang by boat in the middle of our stay.

We stayed for 4nights with 2 children. It was a great experience!! Very quiet location but only 10mins by free tuktuk from the hotel ( need to find return tuktuk but easy to find for $3 ).We love their warm salt pool. It was very nice especially after coming back from the outside heat. I also want to mention their free breakfast. Can choose from 4 choices and of course they offer freshly brewed nice coffee ! We could have a great start everyday during our holidays. Thank you Mr.Morishita ( Japanese owner ) and all the friendly staff !

The Owner Mr Hero and his staff could not have been any more helpful .Nothing was to much trouble.
Attention to detail through out our stay was first class
He arranged our trips to the floating village and the temples again first rate service.
The temple tour guide Vouty was amazing he made the trip .
We ate each night at the hotel as the food was great.
The free transfers from the airport and back were on time .

We stayed at Onederz Khmer the beginning of June for 3 nights, it was very good. The staff we wonderful, very helpful organising our Angkor Wat tours and getting us a tuk tuk into town. The room was great very spacious and clean. There was a lovely pool which was great after a day out exploring. The food was really good also. Onederz is a little out of the middle of town but the tuk tuk into town is complimentary and it is only $3 back to the hotel. Being out of town also made for a very peaceful stay. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful 4 nights and 5 days in this beautiful hotel. We wish we could have stayed longer. Only 10 minutes drive away from the town centre, the hotel provides peace and quiet that was perfect for us. The hotel in its entirety is in superb condition including all amenities befitting a 5 star hotel. The staff are very friendly, attentive, helpful and nothing is too much trouble, and they all speak excellent English. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed a very tasty local dish for dinner one evening. The intimate infinity pool is beautiful and so welcome after a hot day visiting the temples. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Haru and all your brilliant staff for making our time in Siem Reap so memorable.

The staff is extremely kind and nice. Hotel provides personalized service, caring alot about details and this make it different from the others hotels we visited in Cambodia. The breakfast was excellent in taste and quantity! This hotel is quite perfect for relaxing with a lovely pool. Is 5 minutes away from the markets and main restaurants but hotel provided you with free tuktuk. For us was perfect combination going to the temples and markets and later come back to the peaceful hotel. The food on the restaurant is very nice as well. For sure we will go back again!

This hotel is in a quiet area outside of town but is very nice.It has a beautiful infinity pool.The staff is outstanding.Lyda and Cheat were excellent in helping plan tours and we're so gracious.They had a menu of about six meal choices you could order there. (Cambodian fare) The breakfast was large. The prices for mini fridge were good and nice choices.The bathtub is huge and made of granite or similar and worth the stay alone.

Absolutely perfect stay!

I can’t find a single negative thing to say about my four night stay at Onederz. The staff were incredible; so kind, hospitable and helpful (and great English, too).

The room and surroundings were lush and clean; the pool was the perfect size (with fantastic sunbathing opportunities due to that amazing Siem Reap sun), and the local area was very quiet. It may be a little out of the centre, but you can get into town on a free tuk tuk in about five minutes.

The included breakfasts were huge and tasty, and I loved the two dinners I had too — really tasty local food.

I’m already planning my return. Thanks, Onederz!

Very comfortable and the staff will help you with all your needs. Very kind, welcoming and gracious. Facility is brand new. Only issue is that for now, it is a little difficult to find for some Tuk Tuk drivers...but...they give you a phone to use if your driver needs directions. They out fresh fruit in your room every day, and lots of water. Can not recommend the people or place any higher.

Amazing service-Best hotel I've stayed at

I booked this hotel based on the reviews and boy were they right. This was the best hotel we stayed at on our 2 week trip to Asia. First when we arrived they offered us a welcome drink, took us to our room and explained everything. The room is beautiful, TV with internet, even a hand carved stone tub! The service was five-star, the staff extremely friendly. My wife loved some soap dispensers from the room and wanted to buy some. Couldn't find them so the hotel sold her some of theirs. When we left 3 of the employees came out and waved us goodbye. I've traveled a lot and this hotel had service that you would expect in the world's fanciest hotel chains. Awesome place!

Incredible Staff, Professionally Managed

We can't say enough good things about the manager, Haru, and his amazing staff. Outstanding attention to detail, warm and accommodating. Their gentle manner and incredible helpfulness made our stay here a very, very memorable one. We give this hotel the highest rating possible and would enthusiastically recommend it.

Delightful hotel near Siem Reap

I stayed here for a single night while snatching a short break from work in Phnom Penh. The place was a little far from Siem Reap but that was fine for me. The hotel arranged a free tuc-tuc to and from the airport and a free ride to town (about 10 minutes), return was 3 dollars. The hotel is very new, the rooms are large and have all the facilities most people would need. The swimming pool is great and the staff are very welcoming and provide great service. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel
