Had a lovely stay at Sarai. Staff were very helpful, rooms were spacious, clean and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve had this trip. The hotel is just outside the main streets of Siem Reap, but that was perfect after a day of exploring and we just wanted to chill by the pool.

The hotel is very nice. The interior resembles an Esher painting with black metal stairways going in many directions against white crisp walls. It’s refreshing to see creativity in hotels rather than a straight out functionality. The room was spacious, clean and well thought out. We spent most of our down time on the day bed which was so comfortable.
The staff are outstanding. Every single one of them is helpful, polite, and happy.
If we ever come back to Siem Reap we would stay at the Sarai and it would feel like coming home.

I stayed here 6 years ago and when we decided to come back to Cambodia I knew I wanted to stay at the Sarai resort and spa again. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The pools are perfect for the hot weather!
I highly recommend this hotel!

シャワーの排水が1日目は悪くなかったのですが2日目から悪かったです。
立地的には中心から少し離れているけど歩ける範囲で、静かな事も良かったです。オールドマーケットからトゥクトゥクは2ドルでした。

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The accommodations were very comfortable, with cozy beds that made for a restful night's sleep, and the shower had excellent water pressure with plenty of hot water—both small but important details that made our experience even better.

We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening. While the food was enjoyable and the wait staff was friendly, we feel there is an opportunity to enhance the overall dining experience. A bit more training in restaurant hospitality could elevate the service, and more polished uniforms—including closed-toe shoes—would contribute to a more professional and polished atmosphere.

That being said, we truly appreciated the hospitality and the effort that went into making our stay pleasant. With a few refinements, this place has the potential to be exceptional. We look forward to visiting again!

The hotel is a nice oasis of calm in the heart of Siem Reap. Calm & tidy, the room was decent & pool area never too busy.

The staff are what set this place apart - every single person from breakfast to spa greets you with a smile, it’s not forced, it’s genuine.

A special mention to Anna, Naza & Hana at the front desk. No task too big or small.

Please remember where you are, in a fundamentally poorer country, they are providing an excellent experience in terms of service & amenities.

The hotel is beautiful, with excellent service and amazing accommodations. While it's a bit outside the main area, specifically Pub Street, it's only a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride (Grab) away. Additionally, there's a good cafe, an ATM, and laundry services located less than a block from the hotel.

Disappointing Service at a Stunning Hotel

I recently stayed at a visually stunning hotel with high expectations, but the experience fell far short of its five-star rating and price tag. The Presidential Suite with an in-room pool promised luxury but lacked privacy, leading to a noise complaint on our second night. The hotel's solution—moving us twice—was disruptive and poorly handled.

Breakfast was another disappointment: slow service, overpriced coffee not included in the \"all-inclusive\" package, and confusion over the à la carte menu. The food quality didn’t match its fine-dining claim, with cold, improperly prepared dishes and a lack of attention to dietary needs. Dinner was equally disorganized, with mismatched serving times and bland food.

Inclusions like the airport transfer and spa treatment also underwhelmed. The transfer was misleadingly advertised, and the spa lacked privacy, with a glass wall exposing the treatment area to public view.

While staff were polite, they often seemed inexperienced and struggled to address basic issues. A manager later attempted to resolve our concerns, offering a complimentary meal and honoring our transfer. However, by then, the damage was done.

Despite its Instagram-worthy appearance, this hotel failed to deliver on fundamental service and quality. Unless significant improvements are made, I would not stay here again.

Sarai is a beautiful boutique hotel close to the action of Pub Street! We stayed 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer. The people are all so lovely. Their attentiveness and calmness helped us have one of the most relaxing stays we have had. The architecture of the hotel was interesting, Moroccan style but an interesting inner courtyard that reminded us of the stairs in Harry Potter, oh and the room was large, clean and quiet. A great place at a very reasonable price! Thank you everyone at Sarai!

Frequent traveler to Siem Reap. Normally stay golden temple or Sofitel. This property is for a relaxing holiday. Rooms are clean and service is fantastic. Gym and pool are clean. Booked room with small dip pool and no complaints. I used the hotel airport shuttle service and highly recommend that, the vehicle was immaculate. Only two issues are the WiFi and breakfast. WiFi didn’t work unless I went to lobby, and the breakfast at the restaurant needs some work. Limited options compared to other hotels in the area.

Had a truly lovely and luxurious stay at the Sarai. Definitely recommend this for your stay in Siem Reap!
We had a pool view room which had a lovely day bed bay window you could relax in, or soak up some sun by the stunning pool. As someone who doesn't like cold pools, I was very pleasantly surprised the pool was a very comfortable temperature to cool off in after sun bathing.
The staff were all very nice, helpful and genuinely friendly.
It was very easy (and cheap) to catch a Tuk Tuk anywhere, so always felt like just a step away from everything whilst having a lovely retreat at the Sarai.

Watch out for bait and switch rooms. I booked and pre paid their best room, upon check-in was told that room was not available by a nervous looking receptionist but that I was getting a better UPGRADED room. That was most definitely not the case as we entered the room that was HALF the size of the room I had paid for and the pool was green!. Told them this was not acceptable and after some 20 minutes of back and forth of me having to prove that the room they gave me was far less cost than what I had paid for they finally gave me at least a comparable room in size which still had a green water pool by the way. Which begs the question why not that room in the first place. I believe this is a scam they are running. I really tried to like it afterwards despite this major issue but they kept letting me down, from the soggiest waffles, tiny portions, extra charges if you want a fresh pulled coffee at breakfast, dismal menu. I decided I would absolutely not be spending another dime in this hotel. After coming from another hotel (Borei) that was half the price and way wayyyy better service and in every facility aspect. This is most definitely not a 5 star hotel and I am not surprised it's a ghost town and will most likely be out of business soon.

Every part of our stay here was absolutely amazing, from the room with pool views from the sitting room to the hotel amenities and the location, 10 mins walk to the heart of Siem Reap. But what made the whole experience go beyond our expectations was the beautiful staff who went out of their way to make our stay an unforgettable one. We happened to be there for the Khmer New Year celebrations and the staff were quick to include us in the festivities, which was the best fun ever! Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

I do not like to post bad reviews. However, I want to save others from wasting their money. I don’t understand all the great reviews. The photos make the property look way more cleaner and luxurious than it is. Pool was green, room was dusty/dirty, the “on site laundry “ is not self serve and costs a $1 or more per item, no poolside bar as stated , no rooftop restaurant or bar as stated, no tennis court as stated, the “on site shopping/gift shop “ is a table with some jewelry on it. The family suite is a small room with a tall ceiling and loft. For those sleeping in the loft they have to come down a tiny unsafe staircase to use the bathroom. This loft is not safe for young children or older adults. There is zero privacy when using the bathroom. You have to undress and dress in the shower, as the shower opens into the main room. We checked out on day 2 and requested a refund for the 4 unused nights. We were told by the hotel to contact Expedia and Expedia reached out, but the hotel would not provide a refund despite false advertising this property. This is a 3 star at best not a 5 star. The only good thing about this property was the kind onsite staff and the driver. They were great at their job.

This place is wonderful

We had a wonderful time here and would come back in a heartbeat. I was traveling with my family and all of us loved it. We stayed in a Family Room, which is great. The picture window is like its own room, the upstairs terrace is lovely (with a swing seat, sofas, coffee and tea, sink), and we all found our beds comfy. Note that the bathroom flows into the bedroom, though, so if your group/family expect heightened privacy, that might be a thing. The pool is lovely, and has a great classy feel. The staff were amazing, every one of them lovely. David was a standout: we lucked into getting him for our airport transfer and then kept going back to him for all our tours, for which he was great (he had things to share as a driver, which made him kind of like a tour guide, but he never talked our ears off. He is a really nice person too, who my daughter already misses, and he went above and beyond. Great English too). Restaurant is tasty: breakfast offerings were superb, especially. Location is good -- easy walk or $2 tuk-tuk to town, and some good places to eat nearby too (Khmer Grill and SPOONS were each very good). And my wife loved the massage she got there. Plus, the hotels.com VIP extras added up to make this an amazing deal. Overall, I just can't believe I've spent the same amount on bad American roadside motels as I spent on a lovely, fancy, beautiful hotel with great staff. Would/will go back.

This is a nice property, showing a little wear, but a great value for the price. I had a very nice room, very comfortable and clean. I did not use the pool or the facilities, but they all looked nice. My only issue was that the wifi in my room was unavailable. The wifi in the lobby worked fine, but not in my room. Since I was only here for one night, I didn't really fuss, but poor/no wifi is really inexcusable.

Charming hotel with excellent customer service

We were very happy with this hotel. The staff was excellent... they picked us up from the airport upon arrival, were helpful with tourism and meal suggestions, left free fruit, snacks and water in our room daily, and made sure we were happy at all times. The free breakfast included a mix of a buffet and made-to-order meals. The design had a boutique hotel charm to it. I would highly recommend to others. Also was close to restaurants.

Beautiful & Relaxing

Hotel was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The staff were all simply wonderful. We had a late flight out and were able to arrange a late check out for a nominal fee which was great. The Spa was luxurious. The breakfast very nice— had some buffet but also could order off menu.
Location is good— easy walk or Tuk Tuk ride to Pub Street/ town.

Staff has nice serviced mind and room is comfortable. It’s far away from night market around 10 mins by walks. In front of hotel there are many tuk tuk for 2 usd.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes outside the central area. The staff is the highest point of this hotel, extremely helpful and careful. Special thanks to Proseth who helped me out with very useful information about the city and the main activities. Would definitely stay there again.

I found the menu slightly too basic, and the food very average. Most dishes are over salty, maybe due to the local habits of adding MSG to all dishes.
This is the only down I can think about.

Sarah Resort & Spa looks exactly as it is on the picture - no cheating on that aspect - and the staff is very lovely.

很棒的服务员，无可挑剔的酒店。太棒了😘

漂亮泳池，舒服的睡床。服务员态度很棒，一口流利英文。非常贴心的每晚都送上非常好吃也不同的甜品，好喜欢。早餐非常好吃我很满意。甚至窝心的为我准备一份早餐让我带走，让我在6点早上前往机场的路上吃。唯一美中不足的，突然有一晚停电但很快速的回复过来。
