Happy hour was good, but could get mosquitoes at times and I booked a pool view but definitely got a street view. Definitely more noisey, good thing we have air plugs. No upgrade, but they did offer a free foot massage👍

One of the more relaxing hotel we've stayed at, we reserved 3 rooms that walks into a the pool. Staff was so polite and helpful. Breakfast options was also great, glad they didn't just have the usual toast and pancake options but included Cambodian food. Lots of eatery nearby. Will definitely stay here in the future.

The property was well reviewed in 2016, but it has fallen far from the ratings it received a decade ago. The accommodations were not good, and basic needs like hot water was hit or miss. We had two rooms, and 1 room never had hot water our entire stay despite asking for the staff to look into it. One room had a leaky refrigerator. Internet WiFi was terrible, but I think that's just Cambodia infrastructure for you.

Mostly was annoyed at how slow or dismissive the staff was with each issue. It's like they got our money and couldn't be bothered with the inconveniences we experienced that were supposed to be standards for any hotel... like a refresh of face towels after housekeeping reset the rooms.

Short stay at this property. The bed and the wifi just didn’t do it for us. Mrs. Money in sales was more than understanding and agreed to fully refund the rest of my stay.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.

10/10 staff but needs renovation

Beautiful hotel with 2 medium sized pools and plenty of sunbeds. Less than 10 mins walk to pub street so it’s very conveniently placed near the centre but still have the quietness of the area. The staff was very attentive and friendly so give their service 10/10. We do think the hotel needs an upgrade / renovation as it was quite outdated and haven’t been worked on in a while, especially by the pools. We would really recommend changing the floor boards and new sun beds. However we loved the greenery, the trees and flowers that surround the pools.

Appreciate staff polite and kind, always smile to me. As Cambodian myself, I really appreciate them and nearly all of them are students I appreciate their lovely smile. I wish them success in their life.
For the price, it is one choice to visit Siemreap-Angkor. But breakfast must be performed a bit more with local fruits.

It is an average hotel based on what I paid. The staff are very friendly. It’s not very close to the busy areas, but it’s only a 15-minute walk to the old market. There aren’t many options for breakfast (you can only order from the limit menu). The pool is dirty, and no one swims in it. When they do housekeeping, they never change the bed sheets which I can see some dirt on it.

Access to the pool from the rooms was great. The beds were very comfortable, the aircon worked well and the staff were very friendly. The property was well-located for the centre of Siem Reap, so we found it convenient and we enjoyed our stay there. We put a lot of clothes through the laundry and all came back nicely done.
As a negative, one of our rooms had cockroaches which they didn't manage to eradicate - you half expect this as it is a tropical climate, but our teenager wasn't keen. They did offer to change their room, but those with pool access all seemed to be taken.
As constructive criticism: the breakfast was ok, but for the continental breakfast, more variety of fruit, jam, thicker yoghurt, better coffee and hot water for green tea would have been nice. Getting a non-alcoholic fruit drink in the bar proved a little challenging.
At times it was hard to make ourselves understood, so working on the English language skills would be helpful.
But all in all a nice place to stay.

It is a clean and tidy room, the hotel is surrounded by green trees, it looks lovely in the morning.
Breakfast was good and the service and reception were friendly, I would recommend.
If I had the chance to visit Siem Reap, I would stay at this hotel again.

Absolutely beautiful place. Elegant even, for such a low price. Lots of plants. 2 pools. Decent breakfast buffet. Other restaurant meals subpar with tiny servings, though. But very happy and they set up temple tour with guide and tuk tuk for me. Would stay again for sure.

The staff was kind and helpful. When our room was cleaned, dirty towels were removed, but new towels weren’t always replaced. We found rodent feces on the floor. The front door was warped, and the balcony door didn’t seal, allowing a small opening. The pool was nice and refreshing. The coffee at breakfast was sometimes room temperature, but the fresh fruit was amazing. The included breakfast needed improvement most of the time. The laundry service was handy, but some items weren’t completely clean, and once we got someone else’s shirt. The hotel sent a tuktuk driver to the airport to pick us up, and we continued to use him the entire time. He did an awesome job! If improvements are made, we would be happy to stay here again.

Rooms not cleaned properly

Friendly staff.

Booked a room with a garden view and was given a musty room the view being a concrete wall about 1 metre from the window. No choice but to pay for an upgrade. TV and phone did not work. I asked for it to be fixed and 2 days later they had not even bothered to check it. Found later you can stay in a proper 5 star hotel for about $10 more than we paid. They did organise a good guide for Angkor Wat.

The hotel looks like it was probably very nice when it was first built, but absolutely has not been maintained. Our towels were stained and the edges were unraveling, the drapes were stained. Tile and grout in the pools were missing. The hotel was quiet at night and the grounds were pretty. We walked everywhere but it was not easily walkable. Maybe slightly too far from the core of town.

Ladear is a quality Boutique Hotel with a wonderful caring management and staff. Helpful, friendly, caring, fun and kind. This was my second visit to Siem Reap and if I return i will definitely stay with Ladear Hotel again.

Unfortunately, we did not start well as we were told that we had a room other than the one I had booked as there was a problem with their system! Eventually we were given the pool access room I had booked and paid for, but our first night was in an old room, called the cabana room, which was extremely old and in bad condition! It had a three way bathroom and each section of it was tiled and finished differently! The toilet door did not close ; the facilities were just old! We were given a free massage and free dinner for our trouble but unfortunately that experience set the mood for our entire stay in Siem Reap. What I objected to the most was the fact that they tried to convince me that the room I had payed for, was the same as the old room they offered as a substitute !

Great little hidden gem not far from Pub Street

We travel to Siem Reap regularly for work and we always stay at the Ladear. It's in a quiet neighborhood within an easy walk of Pub Street and the River. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the beds are very comfortable with high-quality bedding, and the breakfast buffet is great! We love this little hotel and will return there again soon.

Excellent hotel with personalized service

We had an amazing stay at ladear privilege rooms. We stayed at the room with pool access and it was wonderful, we enjoyed the semi-private pool and the room is big and beautifully furnished. We were picked up for free from our previous hotel and we were surprised with a wonderful welcome reception and flowers on our bed with our names written on it. The other amenities and services were also great like the free bicycles, the bath tub, free breakfast buffet, welcome drinks, tour assistance and thier restaurant serves delicious meals for lunch and dinner. Would like to thank their manager mr.soben for assisting us and arranging everything for us to have a wonderful stay.

Great quiet hotel

Great hotel located about a 10 minute walk from the Old Quarter. The staff was amazing and the rooms were great. Beds are very firm and the free 30 minute foot massage we got when we checked in felt amazing after days exploring the temples at Angkor Wat.

A few hic ups at first but then fully delivered...

On arrival at the airport we were expecting a boot hotel taxi to pick us up, but unfortunately they were not there.

On arrival at the hotel they apologise for the inconvenience and upgraded us to a pool side room, plus game was a free voucher for the spa, and a free drink voucher for their bar.

The hotel is in beautiful condition and very tranquil and relaxing. Not exactly in the city centre, but only 10 minutes (walking) or 5 min in a tuk tuk.

Would definitely book again.

Very nice hotel!! The staff were friendly and accommodating and always greeted us. We stayed in the pool King pool access room and it was perfect! The only con was the toilet seat did not fot the bowl which was not ideal. Overall highly recommonded and we will definetly be back.

Ladear is a good consistent hotel. The airport pickup service is good and their local tuk tuks are friendly and helpful guys. this is the first time I've stayed on the bottom floor with a garden. It is a beautiful room, however the walls are very thin and the guest next to me had a cough and snored. Her head must have been right next to me on the other side of the wall. I needed earplugs. Also the sewerage smell you sometimes get in Cambodian bathroom pipes was in my bathroom. I've never had this before but in room 129 it was not so good. I put the trash basket over the drain hole in the floor which helped. The breakfast is excellent, as is the dinner menu. Great staff.

A beautiful and unexpected oasis. Once through the reception room, you are outside in a beautiful jungle path, outdoor bar, villas through the cones, and 2 pools surrounded by greenery and privacy. It is literally insane how cheap this hotel is for the quality. We were upgraded to a poolside room- out the sliding doors and into a semi-private pool. Decent food and always lots of tuk tuks out front so you can go anywhere in town for less very cheap. Also cheap for a tuk tuk driver to guide you through Angkor wat for the day. Better than walking in the heat anyway. Great AC and very comfy bed. It was my birthday, and after we returned from dinner, some of the front desk staff knocked and came in with a cake (no charge!) laughing and singing to me in English. So helpful and so fun.

Perfect Peaceful Retreat Near Angkor Wat

This was the perfect base for exploring Angkor Wat. Close enough to the restaurants but far enough from pub street that it was quiet at night. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for one day but wish I could have stayed there longer. The hotel has 2 big clean and well maintained swimming pools,clean relaxing quiet environment,and most importantly good staff. The staffs are impressive from start to end and even after I left.
The front desk staff speaks good English and are professional. They welcome you with clean cold towel and a cold drink while you wait for check-in. I had a good time and good night sleep at the hotel but had to move to the other hotel to work with my friend's schedule.
I left in a rush and forgot my belongs in the safe(credit cards and money) in the room and contact the staff after one full day and they were able to retrieve my belongs for me untouched. They delivered my bag to the other hotel that I am staying at in person and my belongs are sealed in an envelope. and after I check there is no loss, they ask me to sign a short letter to acknowledge that I have received them. it was an awesome experience and if I ever come back to Siem Reap I will definitely choose them again.

The most charming hotel

The hotel was very professional and all staff were well trained. Everything from the greeting to helpful front desk staff was superb. We were greeted with a delicous cld drink and cool towels. All staff were polite and friendly. Also would like to thank the staff for organising our trip back to bus terminalas our flight was cancelled. This was one of the best hotels i have stayed in. It might not be rated 5star but for me it surpasses that. Also the pools were fantastic and shaded from the hit afternoon sun.

Stayed here in April 2017. The hotel has nice rooms, two great pools to relax at after a day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and it was sad to leave them. It's walking distance from the town centre and hotel staff were always willing to help organise tours, etc. I would stay here again.

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality from the second we touched foot on Siem Reap...from the free hotel pick up to the day we left. Everyone was so courteous and helpful, always smiling! The room was very comfortable an spacious with a balcony. The hotel was also in a great location,only minutes walk from Pub Street and Old Market. The staff took away much of the anxiety of a new place by helping us book our tuk-tuk tour and the bus from Siem Reap to Battambang. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap!

Nice fresh looking hotel, with lovely staff

I was met at the airport by a nice tum tum driver, who was chatting and smiling all the way back to tell hotel.

The room was always cleaned, very well.

The shower was hot and powerful.

WiFi was very poor indeed.

The staff were always very helpful, and always had a smile on their faces.

I enjoyed swimming up and down the new pool, it really was very nice.

The Breakfast was nice enough, for the eight days I stayed there.

A ride in to town costs $2, but for me it was cool enough to walk back in the evenings from pub street.

I never write any reviews, but this time I had to

Trip to Siem Reap was amazing, except for everything regarding this hotel. Let me summarize my experience:
- Booked airport shuttle via email (got email confirmation) for my arrival: Waited 25 minutes at the airport but nobody showed up. When I arrived at hotel, they said \"forgot to get me at the airport\".
- They could not find my reservation (got email confirmation) for over 20 minutes when I arrived. They even told me I did not have a reservation with them. I showed them the email and they started looking again. No apologies.
- Upon entering the room, I can see the TV is not working. They asked me to do without a TV. I refused and requested a new room.
- Upon entering new room, it is FULL of mosquitos and flies because patio door not properly installed.
- Door lock is not properly installed. Had to ram door to lock it.
- Called reception to ask for room service. They do not have room service, despite reception staff just said they do.
- The WIFI stopped 5 to 10 times per hour.
- The hot water lasted for max 2 minutes at a time.
- Called reception to ask the hours for breakfast buffet. Was told 6:30 to 11:00. I get there at 10:20 and it is closed.
- Next morning, woken up by a man smoking + talking and sitting on my lounge chair outside patio door.
- Asked for a wake up call at 6am. Guess what happened?
- I had booked a car to go back to airport. Gave my suitcase to driver while I pay bill. He forgot to put it in the trunk.
- WORST HOTEL EVER!!

This place is way different from the photos shown.

Bugs are everywhere and they get in to the room through the holes on the ceiling. The toilet seat totally doesn't fit on toilet bowl so very uncomfortable to use it. The shower makes loud noise when you use. This place is totally hot mess!

Sub standard hotel.

Reach hotel at 1215pm expecting the room to be ready but waited for more than an hour. Room was on the ground floor. Able to hear people chatting outside at the pool. Hotel located very far in and super quiet at night. Not advisable to walk back on the dark. Strongly recommend another hotel near to pub streets with this price.

Best Place to stay Siem Reap

Very good location, comfortable rooms, and the staff very friendly. The beautiful garden with swimming pool just make the atmosphere perfect for a great vacation. All the staff always smile and greet you, so it will make your day even better.

The best part is free breakfast, and free airport pick up both way. The hotel really close to pub street, market, and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone, and I will sure to stay here again.

Warming welcome for us at the first time when we checked in. The staff there are friendly and value. The hotel has two pools so we can have options. Also the food is great so we don't have to go outside for just a dinner. After a long journey of walking at the temple we also do massage in room too.
