Mixed feelings, fair value for price

Mixed feelings. Friendly staff, big room, nice rustic feel. Kitchen was closed, but still provided breakfast onsite, chose between euro and Asian style. TV cable was out, but they fixed it. You are in the middle of nowhere, a hike to get to pub street or a coffee shop ... Malu rents bikes for a small one-time charge, which helps Biggest issue was mosquitoes, and yes they were legion. Had to look it up - a swarm of mosquitoes is a scourge. On the first night we used the mosquito netting draped over the canopy bed, and had a mosquito orchestra play for us all night. At our request, the staff fumigated our room on Day 2, and that made it bearable. But every time we opened the door... We checked out a day early.

We were disappointed in the facilities and left early as a result. Staff was very attentive- kudos for a great breakfast abd the packed breakfast waiting for us when we left early for our tour of Angot Wat. We enjoyed borrowing bicyles and aprrecisted that the tires were checked and blown up for us. Unfortunatelyly, the buildings themselves were quite run down. The window frame in the bathroom was rotting. The nightly mosquiitos came in through the ill fitting windows in clouds. There was a strong smell of sewage at the front entrance. The fish ponds were green with algae. This was defintely not a 4 star facility... maybe it was only a two.

Slightly out of the centre so can be a long walk in the heat but it was easy to get to/from on a Tuk Tuk (only $2/3) - a great wee place to stay after a busy day exploring.

When I start searching online for my ideal hotel to stay before my birthday trip in Siem Reap, Malu Khmer caught my eyes. Their lush vegetation, their spacious and stylish rooms, the excellent comments. As I traveled solo and the long stay in Cambodia (three weeks in Siem Reap, noone believe that), a nice, quiet and friendly place is very important, and luckily Malu Khmer fits all my requirement. I stayed in this hotel for a total of 19 nights, (Malu Khmer should give me a VIP status. lol), 16 nights in the Delux Poolside and three nights in their twin suits.
Highlights included
1. Super friendly and helpful staff and manager. They always greet you with a smile, no matter what the situation is. Vibol the manager even offered to take me to the rice field when his family had a rice harvesting event, though it was cancelled later due to unexpected circumstance.
2. I had a special request for my breakfast, as I only eat fruits or fruit smoothie in the morning, and they could accommodate that, even though a fruit breakfast is NOT on their menu! Plus they helped me to get a coconut outside the hotel almost every morning for my morning drink, without any extra charge besides price of the coconut.
They also prepare breakfast box for you when you go see the sunrise in early morning.
3. Vibol the manager offered me a free dinner for my birthday and long stay in the hotel.
4. Their cook is an excellent one and price is VERY reasonable for the quality.

I loved every minute of my stay here. The grounds are gorgeous the rooms lovely and spotlessly clean.
I liked the quiet location away from the husle and bustle but still close enough to get to town in 5 minutes specially because they have a tuktuk on call.
Staff are wonderfull and really go out of your way to make your stay memorable.
Front desk can arrange any tour you like at competative pricesthe pool is small but well kept the garden is lush.
Breakfast is great make sure to order a khmer breakfast if you are hungry.
All in all a lovely place and a little paradise .I hope to come again.
5* + for me.

Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens and pool, and not too busy so nice and quiet. Very spacious room, and good air conditioning! Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast every day was lovely with fresh fruit, eggs, toast etc. About 5 or 10 mins by Tuk Tuk to old market/pub street etc ($2) or a pleasant 25 minute walk. A few restaraunts within 5 or 10 minute walking distance too. Great quality for the price - would definitely come back!

It was a decent Villa, although the bathroom door and the main door were hard to close. We had to Google and funds a way to lock it. Not too mention the sliding door cupboard was impossible to open and close.

We definitely enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We came off a dirt road and entered a tropical paradise. We loved all of the trees and plants. The pool was great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They upgraded our room for free. The room was cute and clean. Will definitely return to this hotel!

10/10 : Relaxing environment, great staff.

Every year I travel for my birthday. This year I wanted something relaxing. I wanted to get away from bigger cities and enjoy something natural but not too secluded. This was the perfect spot.

The facilities were clean and well maintained. The swimming pool felt safe. They had a beautiful tropical garden connecting the facilities and rooms.

The food was nice, I really liked their traditional Cambodian breakfast.

The resort was small and had a good vibe. I think there were about 10 rooms in total.

The staff were very pleasant, friendly and professional from the moment I arrived. They took the time to understand what I wanted from my trip and make recommendations. They made booking tours really easy. I simply told them what I wanted and they took care of the details. Their transport took me directly from their hotel to where I wanted to go.

Transport back to the airport was easy and efficient.

They had the nicest hotel staff I've ever met. On arrival I explained that I was travelling for my birthday (an annual tradition I started 6 years ago). A few days later, on my birthday they organised a surprise birthday cake for me after I finished one of the day tours.

Overall I think this was very good value and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Beautiful little oasis , quiet side of town. Lovely swimming pool , excellent service, breakfast on the balcony every morning.
Great location for most of the attractions, tut tut driver all day for around £15
Large room.
Only negative, there are no curtains in the room only nets...woken up by the sun every morning

Beautiful Cottage Villas

The staff of Malu Khmer Villa are like family. From the time we arrived to the time we left they could not do enough for my daughter and myself. The rooms are like a home and the service is like no other. If you want to experience something different a hotel, this is the place to stay. They cooked us a traditional dinner as we had to cut our visit by one day, complimentary.. It was magnificent! Every morning they would deliver breakfast and you would have it on your balcony. It's a must to try the Khmer breakfast which must be booked the night before.
Thank you Malu Khmer staff, we could not have picked a better place to stay.

A place full of love and comfort

I have stayed at Malu Khmer Villa for a week, and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Siem Reap. At this place, you will feel at home, with traditional touch of local settings. The staff are the most humble and down to earth people. In addition to doing their job perfectly, they are caring and friendly and welcomes you wholeheartedly. They are flexible in meeting your needs and helping you out with anything. The breakfast time is best, seeing smiling Khmer people around you, and enjoying your fresh fruit as a bonus to your breaky. The location is perfect too, its quite and away from the noise to relax but close enough to the main venues/locations in Siem Reap. You'll love this please. :)

Cela aurait pu être très bien

Difficile de comprendre pourquoi ce petit hôtel si joli et plein de charme, avec un prix de chambre non négligeable, n’a pas mis d’effort dans son personnel et ses prestations : spa inexistant, masseuse absente, petit déjeuner moyen, personnel ne parlant pas un mot d’anglais, inexpérimenté, générant de nombreuses incompréhensions sur le paiement des chambres, les réservations d’excursions etc...
Vraiment dommage car bien placé, excentré juste ce qu’il faut des restos sympas et un peu plus loin de la rue des pubs, facilement atteignable en vélo (prêtés gracieusement.... c’est déjà pas mal)

Ein toller Aufenthalt

Ein kleines Hotel in der Nähe zur Stadtmitte. Wir hatten diese Hotel für zwei Wochen gebucht. Es besteht aus 10 Zimmer, wovon 3 Zimmer Wooden Suits sind. Diese sind nach der traditionellen Bauweise der Khmer gebaut und auf Stelzen. Der Pool ist sauber und gepflegt, was von der ganzen Anlage gesagt werden kann. Frühstück gibt es auf der Früstücksterrasse. Dort kann nach Bestellung auch ein Dinner genommen werden. Meine Frau bestellte einmal ein Dinner auf unsere Terrasse und es hat alles vorbildlich geklappt.
Die Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen ist sehr gut. Mit dem TukTuk ist man für 2 $ in der Pup Street. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden auch ein zweites Mal diese Hotel buchen. Es war für uns ein traumhaft schöner Urlaub von zwei Wochen.

Really a nice place in Siem Reap. A nice pool area, helpful staff and cozy rooms. Not to long from the city and there are good restaurants nearby you could walk to, and spa. 2 dollars for tuk tuk to pub street.

Staff was really helpful and we had several trips with them to ankor wat, kulen mountain and the fishing village.

We had dinner at the hotell that was nice.

少額紙幣への両替等にも快く応じてくださいました。また、捻った足を冷やしていた時に手ずから軟膏を塗ってくださったスタッフの方、本当にありがとうございました。

ルームプールビューにはバスタブはありません。歯ブラシ、シャンプー、シャワージェル、ドライヤーは置いてます。

朝ごはんがボリューミィで美味しかったです。
アメリカン、コンチネンタル、ブリティッシュ、クメールの4種類から選べます。モーニングは10時頃まで食べられるので、遅めに行ってブランチにしてしまうのもおすすめです。

市街地中心部からは少し離れていますが、その分静かで快適でした。
Googleマップを参考にホテルへ向かう方は、表示が市街地側にずれているのでご注意を。

とても素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。
またシェムリアップを訪れる際は、是非こちらのホテルに宿泊したいと思います。

I responded well to exchange for small bills etc. Also, thank you very much for the staff who painted the ointment from my hand when I was cooling the twisted feet.

There is no bathtub in the room pool view. I put a toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer.

Breakfast was delicious at Boryumi.
You can choose from four types: American, Continental, British, Khmer. Because morning can be eaten until about 10 o'clock, it is recommended to go late and make it branch.

It is quiet and comfortable to that extent although it is a little away from the center of the city center.
Those who head towards the hotel with reference to Google Maps, please note that the display is off to the city side.

I was able to have a wonderful time.
When I visit Siem Reap, I definitely want to stay at this hotel.

Eine Oase der Ruhe im Süden Siem Reaps

Großes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit allem Komfort. Eine grüne Oase der Ruhe nach einem langen, anstrengenden Tag im Angkor Archäological Park. Kleine Aufmerksamkeiten (\"I made a banana shake; it's free for you\"), die es leicht machen, sich in der Fremde heimisch zu fühlen. Schöner, sauberer Pool Zauberhaftes, herzliches, aber unaufdringliches Personal. Hoteltransfer anders als in der Beschreibung Hin- und Zurück im Preis enthalten. Supernetter, kompetenter Tuktuk-Fahrer, der jede Ecke kannte und für alle Wünsche die richtige Idee hatte. Das Frühstück ist reichlich, würde man mehr Marmelade oder Butter brauchen, wird es sofort gebracht. Besonders köstlich: das Rührei. Ansonsten fährt man nicht unbedingt wegen der Kulinarik nach Kambodscha, aber auch die wenigen Gerichte auf der Speisekarte werden frisch und prompt zubereitet und schmecken gut und werden nach Wahl ins kleine Dachterassenrestaurant, aufs Zimmer oder an den Pool serviert, wenn man nicht möchte, ist man also nicht gezwungen, zum Essen auszugehen.

Wünderschönes familiengeführtes Hotel

Gemietet hatten wir ein Holzbungalow. Dieser war ruhig, absolut sauber, sehr schön geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Pool im Garten, welcher ein wenig an einen Dschungel erinnerte, war perfekt um vom Innenstadtgewusel zu entspannen. Das Zentrum ist in nur 13 Minuten bei einem Spaziergang zu erreichen oder innerhalb von 5 Minuten mit dem Hoteleigenen TukTuk für grade mal 2 Dollar. Alle Speisen waren sehr lecker und von den Preisen her sehr fair. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und frisch zubereitet. Gerne wurde einem aber auch mehr gebracht, wenn man denn mochte. Alle Servicekräfte sind ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel bietet eine große Auswahl an Touren an. Zwei hatten wir auch gebucht welche sehr persönlich durchgeführt wurden. Es ist kein großes Ressort, sondern ein kleines, von einer kambodschanischen Familie geführtes Hotel. Genau das ist es, was so bestechend ist. Jederzeit würden wir wieder dort hin und können das allen nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Pequeño paraíso en la caótica Siem Reap

El Hotel está un poco alejado del centro, unos dos kilómetros, lo que significa que también está alejado del barullo de Seam Reap. Disponen de bicicletas gratuítas para los clientes, que nosotros utilizamos todos los días sin ningún problema. Recibimos un upgrade de habitación y nos alojamos en una cabaña con terraza maravillosa. Todos los detalles super cuidados y la cama super confortable. El desayuno se pide a la carta, y también era muy bueno. El hotel dispone de una piscina que es una delicia después de un día de calor y humedad visitando los templos. El staff fantástico, siempre dispuesto a responder a nuestras preguntas y a ayudarnos, y nuestro tuktuk para las visitas de los templos fue muy amable (aunque su ingés era muy limitado). El día de mi cumpleaños, aparecieron por la mañana con una tarta y cantándome cumpleaños féliz! Qué sorpresa! Lo único que mencionaría como punto negativo es que no tienen una gran carta de comidas/cenas, pero hay muchos resturantes en los alrededores. Un 10 para este mágnifico hotel y sus empleados! Bravo!

Kleine Traumoase in Siem Reap

Das von einer kambodschanischen Jungen Familie geleitete kleine Hotel mit 4 Bungalows und 5 großzügigen Zimmereinheiten ist eine kleine Oase mit wunderschön angelegtem Tropengarten rund um einen kleinen Pool. Das junge Team ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, die Zimmer im Khmer-Stil sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker mit frischen Früchten und Croissant jeden Tag. An einem Abend wurden wir sogar zu einem typischen kambodschanischen Abendessen eingeladen.
Wir haben auch unsere Angkor Touren von dort mit einem Tuk-Tuk organisiert und freuten uns immer nach einem ereignisreichen Tag zurückzukommen. Für die Fahrt ins nahe Zentrum standen Fahrräder kostenlos zur Verfügung. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt und unbedingt empfehlenswert für jeden, der Ruhe und familiäre Atmosphäre sucht.

Traumhaftes Hotel mit tollem Personal

Unglaublich schöne und neue (gerade Mal 4 Monate alt) Hotelanlage mit liebenswürdigem Personal. Alles ist mit Herz gemacht und immer stets freundlich unendlich hilfsbereit! Es ist ein bisschen weiter weg vom Getummel aber genau das fand ich toll! Leider kommt man ein bisschen schlecht weg aber die Hotelbesitzer waren so unglaublich freundlich, dass sie mich sogar ins Zentrum gefahren haben! Ich komme definitiv das nächste mal wieder her! Vielen lieben Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!
