Great staff, lovely room and great location. Could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Every staff member seemed well taken care of by the owner. There happiness was apparent and that happiness flowed outward to the guests. It was our first time in Siem Reap and did way too much sight seeing. Next visit we will be spending more time enjoying the resort.

The breakfast was fabulous. The spa was wonderful, and while we were there, the staff was very helpful. The waitstaff was outstanding.

However, upon leaving, they incorrectly ordered an airport transfer with a $60 charge when we were only going to another hotel a few blocks away. They said they would refund the $52 difference, but ultimately told me too bad.

Honestly, this is my only complaint, but once we were gone it seemed that they no longer cared that they had made a fairly big mistake.

We loved this place so much that we cancelled our other stays and extended here: they are amazing staff, great cook and just a beautiful lush oasis of rooms around the gardens/pool. They had drivers and services from the hotel to all the activities so all safe and no scams. I wanted to stay there forever .

One minor point is that there could be more veggie/vegan breakfast options and portion sizes. Close to temples (by tuktuk), restuarants/pub Street (walkable). Highly

Small Oasis in Siem Reap

Rambutan Hotel was excellent. The room was very unique. It was two floors with a private balcony. The pool and outdoor lounge was also very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped to arrange private drivers to tourist sites and airport pick up and drop off. I would recommend Rambutan Hotel.

Fantastic stay at the Rambutan Resort

A fantastic small hotel & resort with very friendly staff off the main street and close to the market and restaurant. Delicious breakfast, cocktails and pool food. Quiet and large pool to relax after coming back from the temples. Even provided a breakfast box wjen we left at 4:30 am for sunrise at Angkor Wat. Really enjoyed our stay and would not stay anywhere else!

This is a pleasant place to stay in Siem Reap. Don't expect an upscale Western-style resort hotel, but this is Cambodia. The rooms are just fine, the pool nice and relaxing, and the staff friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated how well prepared they were to make arrangements for a guide and transportation to the Angkor Wat ruins.

This resort is amazing! It was delightful experience from start to finish. The Rambutan exudes a cozy, homey atmosphere and that immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, we enjoyed getting to know them personally during our stay. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable.

The room was cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the templates. The pool area was a serene spot to relax and unwind and the on-site restaurant offered delicious meals that highlighted local flavors.

We hope to return one day!

The most perfect hotel to ever exist! Must stay!

I can quite honestly say this is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! Everyone should stay here. The staff are extremely kind and go out of their way to be helpful in any way you could need. The hotel is in the perfect location, right in the city with access to everything you could want. And yet when you enter it is a literal oasis between the pools and our 2 story villa. And bonus was you cannot hear the city noise at all, such a peaceful place to escape to after spending the day exploring. A huge advantage was we were able to book our tours through the hotel and charge all our tours on our final hotel bill. Also the spa was incredible, the perfect place to go unwind with the kindest staff. I cannot recommend Rambutan enough, it’s the perfect place for everyone! Oh and you have to make sure to get breakfast everyday, the food was absolutely delicious at their restaurant!

Staff were kind and friendly. The restaurant was open air under the roof and comfortable in the dry season. Breakfast was not buffet, but had a lot of variety to choose. Hotel’s tuktuks were around, convenient and also we felt easy not worrying about the price or the destination because the reception told the driver everything.

Perfect Stay in Siem Reap

This hotel was very beautiful. Walking in felt like a movie. Was a wonderful location in the city. Very walkable to various drinking spots and very close to Pub street. Located really close to many restaurants and convenience stores that we could quickly walk to. I would recommend this stay again. They were also very manageable with a change in our reservation. Food and drink service within the hotel was very accommodating. They are also connected to a spring roll restaurant which was really delicious and perfect for a after-excursion meal. The pool was really relaxing as well.

Overall a very pleasant stay. The room itself had a lot of damage, paint marks on the lamps, cabinets broken, stains on the carpet but it was very clean. Check in was a bit messy. They tried to do it twice and charge me twice but it was sorted out in the end. Breakfast was great.

Our stay at Rambutan was excellent, the room with the bathtub on the balcony was super cute. Great water pressure in the shower, ac was cold and comfortable bedding. The service was impeccable, everyone was super friendly and they were able to arrange a great tour guide. Breakfast was lovely, i would recommend the noodles!!
Walking to the market and pub street was easy and quick.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel with attentive service and a very relaxing vibe.
The rooms are well designed and comfortable. All amenities are provided and with thought to the environment - there is almost no plastic waste.
The food was always fresh and fast - delivery to your room costs no more than eating in the café - and the nominal service charge directly benefits the staff.

Can't speak for other hotels in the area but this place is great. The front desk guys were super friendly and helpful with whatever I needed. The room was clean and the staff on top on the details and anything you needed. Breakfast was good and service was great. Honestly, couldn't have really asked for more. Location is great and short walk to Pub street and anywhere you need to go. Book with confidence.

Short weekend from Saigon with a visiting friend. Lovely place with very warm and helpful staff. Small yet comfortable and very eco conscience which I was impressed with. One item of feedback - oils replace the plastic water bottles in the room with the reusable ones. However overall very nice stay well within walking distance of the center of Siem Reap.

The property is small, with only 19 rooms and so you get very personal, caring attention. The property is an oasis in the middle of crazy Siem Reap. The food is excellent, the rooms are delightful and quirky and the discreet outside bath a fun addition. The pool is perfect! In fact the hotel is amazing.... Don't tell anyone!

quiet little place close to everything

Nice quiet hotel just a few blocks from the main drag in Siem Reap. Although it's called Rambutan resort, it's not that big and don't come in expecting a fancy resort. The balcony with outdoor tub is a nice setting as is the dark stone shower. Breakfast is all you can eat but you do order so keep that in mind if you plan to get an early start. Pool is nice and relaxing and it's hard to believe how close you are to everything. There were 2 power outages while we were there, not sure if that's normal, but they didn't affect us too much.

I would highly recommend both Rambutan hotels. Staff service is outstanding. Moreover the architectural and interior design are a creative mix of old and new.

The hotels tuktuk driver was very helpful during my trip to Angkor Wat. There are a lot of vehickes there so it was not always easy to locate him after each visit. He made sure that I didn’t get lost.

The location of hotel is super convenient, around 30 mins by tuk tuk from airport, and 5 mins walk to night market and pub street.
The hotel is just amazing! Lovely decoration from every angle, the design is simple and beautiful, garden feel. Esp the details of design, a feast for the eye!

Swimming pool is very nice, though water is not that clean, always can see mosquitos and leaf. But can understand since there are so many trees around.

Our room has washroom upstairs while bed at ground floor. Was very excited to live in such style. Yet do not recommend senior couple or reluctant to climb up and down people to stay, because you need to think whether to go upstairs for toilet at night. LOL, fun.

The drainage in bath room was not very good, and the shower gel & shampoo bottle is super slippery! Be careful when u use them. But the deco of bath room is spacious, easy and comfortable, with a lovely balcony!

Breakfast is great, simple western and Cambodian style. You can order to you are full.

Highly recommend this hotel, would love to stay longer, dont want to leave....

Just enough outside the hustle

This was one of my best hotel experiences ever. From the check-in staff (Thank you Mr. Sea), to housekeeping, and the restaurant/bar staff - everyone was so kind and welcoming. We ended up staying in a penthouse suite and it felt like a well-designed urban condo. The separate bedroom space and incredibly comfortable furnishings were top notch. Located right next to the night market and only a couple blocks from the busy \"Public\" street, the location was great!

Aside from several outstanding restaurants just a couple blocks away, it was home away from home. We didn't want to leave. That's the best compliment I can give any hotel. It was like home.

Whimsical and relaxing. The facilities are impeccable, service is kind and prompt. Overall and excellent place to stay, on an adorable alley, away from the hustle and bustle of the streets surrounding. I would absolutely stay here on all return trips. Food was excellent and the cocktails were tasty and strong:) Any complaints I have are small, but I stayed on the hotel side (down the alley from the resort) and found the room to be fine, but the stairs are so steep, they are basically a ladder. I felt it would be somewhat inaccessible for anyone who is not agile and fit. The hot water lasts for about 2 Min, so you have to be quick! Also, there is a hostel located next door which plays music very loudly into the late night hours, so if you are an early to bed type- be prepared to hear thumping techno until around 11pm.

Our stay at the Rambutan was excellent! The room was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the pool and a stone outdoor bathtub. The resort itself was full of beautiful trees and flowers which made it feel like a bit of an oasis in the middle of the busy town. It was very walkable and the restaurants they suggested were fabulous. We also had no problem getting around in a Tuk Tuk when required as the staff arranged those for us as well. Friendly staff that were happy to help.

Nice few days at the charming Rambutan

Rambutan is a charming property in quiet lane - close enough to the action but far enough away to get a decent night's sleep. The Wat Damnak area also has some excellent restaurants.

The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff are great. Their cocktails are also fantastic! The pool area is a nice place to relax after a hot day at the temples. Rambutan can organize tours of the temples at decent prices, using reliable drivers. We have been to Siem Reap several times and usually stay with them.

Only one issue: would be great to do more about mosquitoes in the rooms. Completely understand in this area of world there are many mosquitoes, but the bug spray provided is not enough and we got bitten a lot when in the room. Maybe provide mosquito coils, or plug-in repellant, or seal the rooms better to avoid them getting in.

Quiet hotel tucks in the busy neighbirhood

The hotel is nicely located by the night market and just steps away from the famous pub street. All the nightlife is in walking distance. Upon check in, the staff offered welcome drink and cold towel. Perfect greeting for a hot day. The room is very spacious and clean. The local style decor also makes the experience more fun. The only thing I will suggest is the drinking price and food menu. While it is certainly not outrageous expensive but is much more than pub street. Regardless, I’d still consider to stay again if I return.

A Relaxing Hideaway in Siem Reap

The rambutan resort is an adult gay friendly hideaway in the middle of Siem Reap. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The hotel services are top-notch. I experienced my first Khmer Martini at the hotel bar, which I recommend, and i had two wonderful massages in the hotel spa.

Great friendly hotel but air conditioner problem

The only robkem with this great hotel is the air conditioners are too small, particularly for the top floor rooms which have very high vaulted ceilings that capture huge heat loads. The staff responded quickly to move me to a room one floor below which was much better although still not really good enough - tolerable when sleeping solo but not so good with company.i strongly advise any guests to avoid the top floor rooms.

What boutique hotel actually means

This resort is simply amazing! Great service from the whole staff, my room had a private terrace with solarium and an open air shower and soaking tub. Long breakfast hours and amazing juices to drink by the pool. They also organised the tour of the archeological site including the driver and the guide. Everything was great.

Lovely place, superlative service.

We stayed for four days last week and enjoyed the pool and the setting. This place was created with a strong aesthetic sense. If you are looking for a generic luxury hotel, this is not it, but if you are looking for s well-designed welcoming space with a staff that is not just attentive but kind, this is it. I strongly recommend it.

In major need of renovation...

The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The property is in disrepair -- 10 years old! Lighting in room could be improved; shower was dark until I realized light was broken. Maintenance fixed it upon discovery. Rooms are split-level. Strange:bed on ground floor but livingroom, refrigerator and PHONE on second floor, which is bizarre. Had to run upstairs every time phone rang! Breakfast was good. Met hotel manager and his assistant. Both were very friendly. AC in great working order!
Owners need to consider major renovation. Would NOT recommend hotel nor stay again until rooms are upgraded. Again, staff were awesome! Thank you!

To be honest, the outside and pool area was far nicer than inside the rooms. And be prepared...tons of mosquitos! Spray in closet...

Oasis in Siem Reap

We loved our stay at Rambutan Resort! The hotel was beautiful. It truly feels like a hidden oasis set back on a quiet alley but still within easy walking distance to the main markets and pub street. The hotel is situated around a pool which is so refreshing in the heat of the day. The upstairs balcony with an outdoor shower and stone tub was also a bonus. The food was delicious. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Mr Thoom, who the hotel arranged to be the driver for our stay was a gem. He knew all the best places to eat as well as providing guidance on the Angkor temples and what a fair price was for tourist items such as guidebooks. This was by far our favorite hotel of our entire trip through Thailand and Cambodia. I cannot say enough great things about it! We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Siem Reap. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast options were great. Rooms were nice and spacious and there was a lovely pool to relax by. Nice and close to the night market, pub street and many restaurants. Only downside was the construction going on right next door. Would suggest asking for a room away from the construction if possible as that took away from the enjoyment of sitting on the balcony during working hours and was also a little noisy starting around 8 am. Other than that a great place to stay.

Within walking distance of markets and restaurants in Siem Reap. Really get a feel of the town compared to more flashy hotels out of town. Rooms on first floor accessed by very steep stairs so check if not very agile. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food inexpensive and adequate. Breakfast delicious and included and available until 12! Second stay as wonderful as the first! :D

Loved this place the first time so came back for more. The courtyard setting is gorgeous and very relaxing. The food is super tasty and reasonably priced, the pool and the outdoor bath tubs so relaxing, and the staff and free foot massage are fantastic. A great resting place for your visit to Angkor. Fully recommended :D

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and helped us arrange a guide and transportation to Angkor Wat as soon as we arrived. After checking out they stored our luggage and allowed us to use a spare room to freshen up before leaving for the airport. Free pickup from the airport was helpful and was our first experience riding in a tuk tuk. We especially liked our driver, Mr. Thoun, who also drove us to Angkor Wat and around town in a tuk tuk and car.

Wonderful, memorable tropical resort

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was nice and I was greeted with a warm welcome along with a tall glass of iced tea, some snacks, and a cool hand towel which felt AMAZING. The grounds are very open and resort-like. But it is small enough so not to feel like a big, impersonal hotel. There was some construction going on nearby at the time, and the manager (/owner?) was considerate enough to tell me each day when they would be finished. They were also helpful in setting up where to go and what to do. One thing I was pleased with was that despite the number of bugs and critters that are everywhere (hey- it's Cambodia!), the room was remarkably clean and free of these. I occasionally saw a gekko on my patio (which I thought was REALLY neat) and a tiny frog was at my doorstep one night.

A relaxing place to stay

Rambutan resort was a wonderful little gem in the centre of Siem Reap. We were greeted with a welcomed ice cold drink, a cold towel and the friendliest of staff to greet us. There was nothing that was too much trouble. The food was delicious, plentiful and the menu was varied. We had fresh fruit and juice every day.

The swimming pool was salt water and extremely clean. I can't say enough about this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Hotel was away from all the noise

We had a wonderful stay at the Rambutan hotel. The staff were attentive and very accommodating. The room was spacious but the air conditioning had difficulty keeping the room cool. Overall we had a great stay and loved the pool.

This was a great hotel choice. The rooms are very pretty and everything I could need. The pool and poolside bar was idyllic and the service was great! Very friendly employees made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend!

So ecstatic I am blown away.

I can easily say this hotel blew away anything I've stayed at. It boils down to one thing... The staff.. They are absolutely amazing. From the Owner to the Manager and right on down to the front desk, bar/restaurant, maids, and maintenance. The rooms are clean and well kept. The restaurant and bar have wonderful offerings at very competitive prices . The pool is a delight after a day of temple visits or other adventures. If you are mobility impaired most rooms require a climb of stairs but not all. If you are a lite sleeper that enjoys long daily naps , daily life goes on here . The sounds of daily life during the day happen. At night however it is a quiet Oasis away from the nightlife noise, but close enough to walk safely too it. Overall likely the best choice in town for those on a moderate to generous travel budget.

Charming retreat

This hotel is a lushly landscaped peaceful retreat within a short stroll to the night market and heart of Siem Reap. Inviting public spaces and very good food. Rooms are private and charming. Staff is friendly, gracious and helpful.

Excellent choice if not traveling with young kids

Charming, quaint, beautiful, full of character, great service, lovely helpful staff, very well managed and run/ own by expats, excellent location, you cant beat this location anywhere else in Siem Reap as it is next to Pub street and old market. However it is not for family esp with young kids. But, Siem Reap as a whole is not for young kids anyway.
Plus, cocktail is amazing!!!!

Stylish stay in Siem Reap

Stylish hotel ,good saltwater pool with really cheerful and very helpful staff.Excellent restaurant with top end Khmer culinary dishes by a very young chef. The one and only little minus point that we experienced was that the bathroom faced some other establishment about 2 to 3 meters away and every day they somehow pumped up their volume around 22h00 ......
