By far my favourite hotel I have stayed in whilst travelling Cambodia. The rooms are lovely and the staff are so friendly. But the best part is the location, it is central to the downtown area of Siem Reap. The city is great and I can’t wait to come back.

My 3rd stay in this hotel in 5 years and it’s just as good as ever. The rooms are spacious, the free breakfast is delicious, and the staff are delightful. Based on location alone, it is a bargain, but coupled with the quality of the hotel, the staff and food, it is absolutely perfect. If you want to be close to Pub Street and the centre of action in Siem Reap, this is the place to stay.

Location, location, location! This hotel is literally steps from the old market. It is such a convenient place to stay giving you access to the market, dining, and everything else in the old market and Pub Street.
It’s nothing fancy, but it is clean and adequate in every way. I would highly recommend staying here because of the convenience factor

Wouldn’t eat in the restaurant again. No drinks or appetizer after 45 minutes and the cook thinks a French onion soup is a creamed soup but the front and cleaning staff, the cleanliness, the pool, etc… we’re all excellent. Beds are hard but overall good value with excellent location

Our room was spotlessly clean and I really liked the sound proof extra window on the balcony as we were in the original building and overlooked the street. The bed was a little hard but after a busy day of temple climbing we slept well.
The breakfast was great - I still miss all the fresh fruit on offer (mango galore!) and my husband liked the bacon and eggs. We spent one afternoon by the pool which was a lovely respite from the heat. You can order beer or meals poolside. And…my husband tried the sauna and loved it! Said it was cool outside afterwards- lol! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was clean and spacious. Not many guests as the post-covid tourism is only just able to restart. I would highly recommend. Pool was glorious. Super close to Pub St but the nightlife can't be heard. Freshly cooked breakfast (which might become a buffet when there are more guests). Friendly staff.

The staff outnumbered the guests and the look of relief on the face of the staff said a thousand thank yous…. Nice older hotel in a very convenient location near Pub Street in Siem Reap. The facilities are getting a little worn, but still in generally good condition. A little mold in the bathtub area. For longer stays, the breakfast gets boring, though they have a good omlette station. Many nearby restaurants and bars. Great location. Easy walk to the markets. The Steung has cut back on some services. Included airport pickup used to be by car, but now by tuk tuk. It's kind of fun if the weather is good and you don't have much luggage.

When booking with Expedia, they don't tell you about the complimentary shuttle to/from the airport which is on the hotel website. You must arrange this ahead of time or they don't want to give it to you. Also late checkout prices are a robbery. They wanted $40 to check out at 5pm and $60 if checking out at 9PM which is more than the $55 room rate. The only direct flight to Shanghai is at 11:30PM so be prepared to pay or hang out at town all day.

I always stay at Steung on my bi-yearly visits to Siem Reap. They treat me well, the rooms are large and quiet, and you would struggle to find a more convenient location.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Siem Reap, and had a pretty good time. The price is cheap, but in general you get what you pay for.
Here are some critiques that future guests should know:
-Food at breakfast was cold at times, and there wasn't that great a selection.
-WiFi in the room wasn't that good at all (we had to go into the lobby to have it be usable for our basic needs)
-The shape of the bathroom wasn't the best in our trip to SE Asia. Nothing that I would consider a dealbreaker, but there was some wear on it and you could certainly tell.
All in all, a good value for the money but if I were to return we'd probably look to stay elsewhere.

Steung Siem Reap was the perfect hotel location. Rooms were a bit outdated but hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Overall you're walking distance to what city has to offer which was the best part.

This is an excellent hotel clean nice pool beautiful rooms clean sheets friendly staff and walking distance to all the bars and the market. The proximity to everything in town is within a block. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. You can't get a better place than this to see anchor wat and have a good time and Seimreap.

it is located really close to the central market, we walked around in the evening.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is beside pub street and the night markets. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices on the buffet. That pool and gym were really good. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Good choice of tv channels. Excellent internet connection. We will stay here again.

Great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of where all the night action takes place. Otherwise the noise at night takes a little getting used to. Staff was great and very accommodating. The large 2 room suite met all our needs.

Great hotel near old Siem Reap
This hotel has the best location! It is around the corner from Pub Street and the Old Market, which is the liveliest part of town on any given night. Also, it is near the river, which is lined with markets, restaurants, and shops. Everything you need is within walking distance. Amazingly, the hotel is quiet. At midnight, when the town is bumping, he room is silent.
The staff is super nice and friendly. They are always willing to lend a hand and share a smile. Morning breakfast is a buffet of eastern and western selections, and always with good coffee and fruit.
This is a historical hotel but most everything is modernized, including very effective air conditioning. Everything is around the old market and pub street. Deco is abit old, and pool is great. Great balcony view facing the road. Breakfast is not average. Service staff are polite. Housekeeping is good but some towels are very \"yellow\" (time to change). Overall, I am very satisfied 8.5/10. ($$$ for value) Sure be back.
