Boutique hotel central Siem Reap, walking distance to Pub street, old market. Rooms spacious and comfortable, AC works well (sometimes hot water doesn't). Two swimming pools, rarely busy. Staff great (including resident cat). If you forego housekeeping for 3 days (not necessarily consecutive) you get a discount coupon at the restaurant ~$US7.50.

We stayed in a Family Connecting room which was perfect! Rooms were spacious, beautifully fitted and very comfortable. Both pools were fantastic with great lounges & cushions. Easy walk to Pub Street and many great cafes. Would highly recommend. We loved the resident cat too.

The stay was fabulous. The two pools, the restaurants, and the room were all beautiful and clean. The people working at the hotel were friendly, courteous, and competent. Being there during Songkran was particularly great because the hotel and its staff set up a water station at the front complete with hose and barrel for everyone to participate.

I would definitely stay there again.

We’ve stayed several times in Siem Reap but this was our first occasion so close to Pub Street and on the same side of the river. Hence it was noisier than we’re used to, and it was initially a bit of a shock but the hotel itself is far enough away from the worst of the noise. The only criticism is that there is a high school behind the hotel and this seemed to be permanently noisy, but not really an issue. Just be aware it might wake you in the mornings if you sleep in. Maybe it depends on where your room is located.

The upper pool was gorgeous and we often had it to ourselves.
Breakfast was pretty good. We mainly gorged on the fruit and the mango in particular was sweet and plentiful. The noodle soup was not bad and they do an excellent poached egg. They got a new coffee machine while we were there and it was good too.
All staff were friendly and helpful, we couldn’t fault them at all. There was only luke warm water in the shower on the first day and one sink wasn’t draining well. It was all fixed that day so no complaints there at all.
Would we stay here again? Not sure as I do still prefer the peace on the opposite side of the river but we would consider it seriously.
We had a sombok deluxe room and the only irritating point was the separate toilet which wasn’t near the bathroom so had to wander through the bedroom to wash hands afterwards. I’d have preferred the loo in the bathroom personally. Shower pressure was excellent though!

Fantastic location with a luxury vibe done with local style. Very convenient location, only a short walk to all the action of the 'old market' and 'pub street'. Super friendly staff who are very hospital and helpful. We booked a twin-room for our family with two teenage kids and the rooms are very spacious. Highly recommended.

This hotel was exceptional.

The staff went above and beyond to add that little extra wow to the experience.

There were certain elements of the soft product which took the stay from good to exceptional. For example they provided a coffee plunger and coffee grounds in the room for a fresh coffee. They provided sun hats by the roof top pool. They offered a turn down service.

The hotel itself is brand new and the beds are extremely comfy. There’s two pools to choose from and multiple dining options.

It is right in the centre of town just a few minutes from places to eat and explore.

The breakfast is more ‘made to order’ than buffet style. It could be improved but was not at all bad.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend everyone else to stay.

A fabulous hotel and great value for money. The staff are wonderful, good humoured and very helpful. The room was huge with everything I needed and more.
Two pools are a bonus and the food is good if you don't have energy to walk in the heat to a restaurant (although I only ate there once, preferring to explore Siem Reap)

This is a fantastic property in a great location in Siem Reap. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the food selections were great. I would definitely stay here again!
Two downsides: there is a beautiful window well in the room, but the light stays on all night, and need better blackout shades. The massage wasn't great, and they stained my shorts with the oil.

The service from the staff at the hotel and the attention to detail was excellent. From being greeted at reception, to organising the tours, the level of service is 5-star. The restaurants at the hotel are of high quality, there is an excellent range at breakfast and both pools are well attended. The location of the Aviary is excellent, only a 3-4 minute walk to the popular Pub Street area, but no noise. The rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. I would recommend the hotel to all visiting Siem Reap and would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING HOTEL IN MIDDLE OF TOWN

AMAZING! Firstly, we live in Siem Reap, have done for a LONG time, so we are familiar with a lot of accommodation here. Secondly, we have stayed at this hotel before, for a Birthday staycation (as we did again just now).

This, in my humble opinion, is one of the best hotels in town, for price / value and the sheer location of being in the middle of town. And yet there is no real noise pollution, it's set back from the busy road enough to create a calm oasis.

The design is unique and has real charm. The build is fantastic, and the finishings in the rooms are all to a high standard. The rooms themselves are BIG, all with balconies overlooking tropical gardens.

Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. The food is good and the Flock Cafe on the ground floor is great, as is the Glide Rooftop Bar. And of course the Japanese restaurant attached - all amazing.

There are two swimming pools, one downstairs in a courtyard, and on the roof near the Glide Bar. F & B is served at both.

Couldn't recommend more...

This is an excellent hotel located in the middle of Siem Reap next to all of the major sites such as pub street, night market, etc. Angkor Wat is also just a short tuk tuk ride away.

The hotel is very modern and clean. The room are nice and big with a sitting area, comfortable bed, large bathroom (with shower and tub), etc.

The A/C works well and there is also a ceiling fan.

Service is very friendly and nice. The pool area is also very nice with lounge chairs and towels provided. The prices for food and drinks are very good and reasonable unlike the high markups that you sometimes see at other hotels.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel with Quality Service

What a wonderful bunch of staff members working at your hotel. From the moment we walked through the hotel we were immediately greeted by smiles, a wet towel and tea. We were shown around the hotel and immediately felt comfortable throughout check in phase. The room wss handed over in a neat and well presented state, the room was bright and vibrant..we were absolutely pleased by this. During our stay, we were always greeted by your workers from the service desk to the swimming pool and restaurant. A small jar with couple of biscuits on the bed was a nice surprise after house keeping. We even had a minor issue relating the toilet and that was resolved promptly followed by a call from service desk to check in on the progress. On the day we checked out, our flight was not until 7.30pm but we came back to the hotel in the afternoon and we were still treated like guests at the hotel. Amazing customer service from A to Z and did tell your manager Hong what a lovely experience we had. Definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends, and if we were to come back, the Aviary would be our choice again!

Only minor issue would be the amount of mosquitoes we found at the Aviary and also in our room. I recommend some measures put in place to improve this issue as they were an 'itchy' issue for us.

However, a massive Gold Star for customer service and experience!

You should stay here!

Great location, amazing service and the room was just perfect. If you are planning to spend time in Siem Reap, this should be your stop. There are more expensive hotels right around the corner, but you won't get nearly the great value you will staying at the Aviary. We were going to Angkor Wat for a sunrise tour and they had our breakfast packed up and ready to go with hot coffee at 4:30 am. The people there were just the best, when you would come into the hotel you were greeted with a cold towel to help cool you off from the hot and muggy weather. We were always greeted by name and so well cared for. This is a perfect spot.

The Aviary is a great hotel if you want to be close to the night life. The service and hospitality is fantastic. The pool is surprisingly quiet and secluded given the proximity of the hotel to the bustling city around it. Gorgeous little hotel within walking distance of all the downtown restaurants/markets. Absolutely amazing service. Front desk arranged our tours and transfers, were just amazingly well coordinated and kind. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated, great showers. Salt water pool is heaven after walking around Angkor Wat all day. Highly recommend!

The Aviary could not have been better if not for the hospitality of the Management and staff, in particular the unassuming GM Jeffrey, Residence Manager Sophearith, Front Office Assistance Ms Champa and the other members of the Front Office. However, there is room for improvement for the Housekeeping team. They ought to be more cautious and attentive in handling guest's belongings and checking for used items in the Bar Fridge. Otherwise, The Aviary is perfect !

I can't believe that you can have such a trendy, stylish, beautiful, friendly hotel with great location and a great price all in one. I was truly blown away despite reading reviews just like mine. It's just a block off of the craziness, which I loved because you're close, but not too close. The pool doesn't have a ton of sun, but it's actually nice that way. I had a little ant outbreak in the room so be sure not to have any food in there - it's a tropical place! But it was easy for them to clean and really wasn't a big problem.

Fantastic hotel in good location.

We stayed for 4 nights in a Sarus Crane Suite and have nothing but great things to say. The room was amazing, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and the location was great - about 5 minutes walk to Pub Street and the markets and not much more to the river areas. The pool area and coffee shop are great spots to stop for a cool drink at the end of the day.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful, although they did misplace our luggage upon arrival. The room was nice and clean and average size and set up. An amazing little nest in the middle of Siem Reap

Without a doubt, The Aviary Hotel is one of the best hotels that my wife and I have stayed in. Not only is the structure less than two years old, the staff have a naturally calm, pleasant and helpful nature that have made our stay an absolutely outstanding experience.

Our overall experience in Siem Reap was an incredibly positive one, which can be put down to the fact we had such a pleasant environment to come back to at The Aviary Hotel after a day out in the Siem Reap district.

One point in particular my wife and I noticed with the staff is that they enabled us to have a personalised experience which can be due to not only the nature of the staff, but the relatively small and cosy size of the The Aviary Hotel itself. At The Aviary Hotel, you are a name and face in the eyes of the staff, not a room number.

The Aviary Hotel is the first and only choice for my wife and I during our next visit it Siem Reap. Well done to The Aviary Hotel Staff.

Beautiful Aviary Hotel

We were so impressed with our stay at the Aviary Hotel. From the minute you walk in the door you are treated as their special guest. We were greeted after every outing with a cool fresh towel and a glass of ice water. The staff were friendly and attentive. The decor of the motel is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was included with our room with a choice of buffet and a la carte - delicious!
We were impressed with the cafe, restaurant and rooftop bar. Also had a massage at the spa which was total luxury. The Aviary is very convenient to the markets and Pub Street, but is tucked away just off the street and is very quiet. Thank you for making our stay in Siem Reap so enjoyable.

Overrated and in need of proper management.

After having read previous reviews about this hotel, we had high expectations.We booked 2 rooms , a deluxe and a standard for the kids.The former had a small queen bed and the latter two double beds.When we arrived at 9pm, we were not given connecting rooms and rooms where distant from each other which for a family with kids wasn't good nor convenient and no reasonable alternative was given to us in the 3 days Of our stay.Upon our arrival, the rooms had the a/c off so it was melting hot and both rooms were full of bugs, specially crickets.The side lamp in one of the rooms wasn't working and although I reported it as soon as we went into the room, it was never fixed.Forget about this hotel if you are looking for a quiet spot, it's next door to a school that starts at 7am and there is construction all around.Breakfast was ok but nothing spectacular and too many flies on the food.The coffee shop had some excellent pastries which were 50% after 6pm.The bar at the rooftop was very nice with some pretty good cocktails.The 2nd day we took a tour of Angor Wat with the hotel driver who was excellent.The 3rd day we went to Toni Sap lake again organized by the hotel and It was an absolute disaster, we hired a private tour and it was a perfect combination of rip off and scam.Dont even consider going there, it is the marketing of poverty for the benefit of a well organized mafia.Final comment on the staff, they were nice, willing to help and learn but there is no management to guide them

Hidden gem in Siem Reap

From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive; every time we returned to the hotel we were welcomed with smiling faces, cold water and towels.

The hotel is well located and a short walk or ride into town. Others have described this as an oasis of calm and this is an accurate description. Great place to relax after a day of seeing temples.

Modern decoration with many playful things. The room was very chic and stylish, and the bed was a design centrepiece. Flock cafe and rooftop bar are all must-try!

Especially appreciate the receptionist (who had shift on April 15-17), he did deliver an excellent service, very supportive and helped me getting back my phone.

A truly great hotel in every aspect!

The best in Siem Reap!

The Aviary Hotel has only recently opened and we were lucky enough to stay. Location is perfect - close to the River, Pub Streets, Markets and short Tuk-Tuk to the Angkor Wat National Park. We ended up extending our stay. The hotel itself - facilities, room and finish is next level. Relaxing by the pool during the day after early morning temple visits and being served great cocktails and food - is something we won't soon forget. The rooms are incredible - beautiful decor - high quality - comfortable bed, linen and pillows - private balconies - huge bath and shower - separate lounging areas. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel - we had booked and stayed at another nearby, but it did not meet the standard and turned out like many in Siem Reap to be a bit far from all the action - we went on a search and found the Aviary - don't hesitate just stay here, it is an oasis - not even the Hyatt nearby compares. Not to mention the price for the facilities, experience and service is beyond reasonable. Good memories. Thank you for having us!
