An aging property that is still in ok condition. Staff is really great and the location is excellent.

Rooms could use better lighting. Especially in the bathroom. I felt like I was showering at night.

Couldn’t get the TV to work.

Overall it’s quite comfortable. Have reasonable expectations and you will be quite happy to stay here.

One of the best hotels in Siem Reap

I like Angkor Pearl Hotel. The hotel is clean and the service is good. It’s located so closely by a lot of restaurants and shopping places. The staffs are so friendly. I strongly recommended for domestic and foreign travelers.

10 minutes walk away from Siem Reap Pub Street so convenience is a lock-in; breakfast was wholesome and tasty; air-con took a while to cool, and toilet could be cleaner but otherwise we had a pleasant experience.

Very good!

We loved our stay at this hotel. Location is perfect, right in the middle of everything and only steps away from good places to eat. Breakfast was good, the room was very clean and quiet, staff were helpful and they looked after all our transport needs. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Conveniently located (within walking distance to the night market, Pub Street), with several restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets/grocery stores close by. The complimentary breakfast was basic, but at least they had an omelette station. The complimentary tuk-tuk pick-up can be iffy (other guests have also mentioned this in their reviews). For me, after waiting 45 minutes and calling the hotel twice to inquire about the status of the pick-up, I gave up and found my own way to the hotel. Apparently the tuk-tuk driver had gone to the wrong place to meet me. Why the hotel staff did not check with the driver after I called them twice during my long wait, that I could not understand.

We Love Siem Riep

We enjoyed our stay at Angkor Pearl because the staff was so helpful! They helped arranged the tours of the temples, have massage therapists that come to your room, and also helped arrange transportation back to Phnom Penh for us. Would recommend for everyone! In walking distance to some markets, coffee shops, and the cart that sells pickled fruits is the best!

Great Hotel, Great Location, and I love the staff!

Upon arrival they took our bags, they checked us in, provided a cool beverage of ginger which I loved. They showed us to the room and even tho we were almost past the restaurant closing time they allowed us to order food. Everything felt safe and it was overall very clean. The street is quiet and only a 5-10 min walk from Pub Street. I will be staying here again next time I’m in Siem Reap! Thank you staff! Also the breakfast is complimentary and delicious!

Perfect for the price

Had poor internet in our room and they moved us to nice room with better internet without hassle. Could not ask for more for what we paid. Close to the Fresh Fruit Factory which I wish we found sooner. Go get those Ice Mountains!

Over-priced and very little English

The hotel is over-priced given the number of hotels in Siem Reap. The restaurant is so-so and only one person in the staff speaks English. It is frustrating given the number of tourists that visit the city. Wifi does not work in all rooms. Their tuk tuk driver was great till the last day when he started demanding tips even after I tipped him. It was a real turn-off after 2 great days of sight-seeing the temples.

Horrible hotel, don't believe the high rating.

Pro: cleanish room, they use stained bedding, clean, but stained. Room fridge.

Cons: wifi doesn't work. Breakfast is 6-10, if you go 6-7 or 9-10 there will be no food, and staff won't assist. Go between 7-9 and they can't stick the food fast enough, so again, no food. TV doesn't work. AC barely works. Hot water doesn't work. Booked a tour through the hotel, they promised it was good. It was the worst tour I've ever been on. When we complained they tried to tell us we didn't book at the hotel. They basically ruined my birthday. Never restocked toiletries, and ignored room signs. Business center was a joke too, no SD card slot. Rock hard, DIRTY mattresses.

Affordable, cozy hotel

Had a bit of a mix up on my reservation when checking in. We were given a room with two beds instead of the king that I booked in advance. Was told there were no other rooms and I had to stay there two nights before I could get my booked room. I insisted that I wanted the room I booked and was after a few minutes shown to another room on the second floor that matched my booking. They apologized but I wasn't too happy I was given the wrong room in the first place. The room was comfy, although I found it too dark. There weren't enough power plug points so we had to unplug lamps to charge phones and that made the room even darker at night. Could have used a stand lamp or something. The fluorescent lamp at the TV was an eyesore. The lock to the bathroom door broke so the door wouldn't close without being latched from inside. The closet was quite old and small. Looked like something I had in mind college, but smaller. The air conditioning was poor so it took very long to cool the room, especially since power was cut off every time you pulled the key out of the slot by the door. And the feet mat by the bathroom door was kinda disgusting. The pillows were really hard so I didn't sleep well the first night then got used to it. Anyway, breakfast was okay and simple, and the staff were very friendly. The walk to Pub Street was a bit longish, but I didn't mind because there are many cheap and good restaurants around, compared to those expensive and tasteless food they serve near Pub St.

Great accommodation at a very reasonable price.

What a beautiful yet economic hotel, I was very impressed with everything that this hotel provided, especially for the price point.

My room itself was beautiful and immaculate, however one downside is that I found the WiFi did not work very well for my entire stay in my room, it did work in the lobby no problem, but not in my room.

If you need a cheap but beautiful place to stay, look no further than the Angkor Pearl.

good location to center city but..........

old hotel. aircon didn't cool room. mosquitos were in room when we arrived, had to spray repellent. Hotel forgot to pick us up at airport which was included in room rate. Hotel forgot to schedule private tour guide even with confirmation. We didn't try breakfast. Hotel was close to center of shopping in good location.

The room had a good size, all the furniture a bit old but it is ok.
Shower was good and the breakfast fair. Overall, it is a fair price and the location is really good: close to everything, but not enough so we cam hear the noise from Pub Street!!

Nice hotel, not too big. Helpful staff.

The staff was very helpful. Location is good. It's a 10min walk to city center. Rooms were a good size. The wifi worked fine. Breakfast is good and plentiful. However, Coffee was always cold.
There is a laundry place just across the street. It's 1$usd per kilo. Great price and excellent service!
Note: Everyone in Cambodia uses usd$, do not bother with getting riels.

Dishonest Tour Booking - Poor Hotel

My opinion is tainted as the Driver they booked me for Angkor Wat ripped me off. It started when I booked a driver at the Hotel. I paid over the usual rate $40 to get a reliable hotel driver. They short change me by $10 I didn't notice but a junior staff member pointed it out. Cut long story short at Angkor Wat driver disappears. I wait an extra hour he doesn't show. A local helped me and I got back to Siem Reap. The Hotel itself is okay. Wifi is hopeless, I was supposed to do a Skype call overseas but gave up. In fairness that may be the norm for Siem Reap. The TV remote didn't work and buttons broken on dated TV. Air con was weak. It's not really walking distance to main restaurants and bars as some reviews suggest. I've travelled extensively and it's unusual a Hotel would blatantly rip off a guest so it might just be a rogue staff member but the other items prevent me recommending this place.

Very good value for money very clean but slow wifi

Hotel is 10-15 min walk to Pub Steeet. Rooms and bed linens were very clean like 5-star clean. Staffs were attentive and friendly. Just minor downside is the very slow wifi. If you use iOS devices it'll be very hard to connect but Andriod can connect tho speed is slow.

Great stay, excellent service and value

We stayed at the Angkor Pearl for 5 nights. The location was great - close enough to walk to restaurants, Pub Street and the Night Market, but far enough away to be quiet at night. All the employees were very courteous and helpful, especially Moniroth. When she learned it was our wedding anniversary, she had housekeeping decorate our room with fresh flowers and towel swans. And she suggested a very romantic restaurant and made reservations for us. The hotel itself isn't brand new and is showing a few minor signs of wear and tear, but it was clean and for this rate and including the free breakfast buffet and airport pickup it is an excellent value. The only very small drawback I can even think of is the lack of an elevator so older or disabled people may want to take that into consideration. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice city hotel

The hotel room is of a good size. They put together 2 double beds to make a big \"kingsize\" which we requested. The manager was very accommodating and replied to our email prior to getting there fast.
Room and bathroom was very good considering it was a budget hotel. They had me picked up at the airport for free though transport back to the airport was not free. It's just 7 usd. The drivers of the tuk tuk in their hotel are knowledgeable and had a good command of English. Mr Ben is one which can be easy to understand.
The breakfast buffet was good, bacon, sausage, stir fried noodles, scrambled eggs, omelette and Fruits and small local pastries. They also have cereals for those who want. Room service was very good.
I will gladly recommend this hotel.

Really good and reasonably priced hotel

We booked this place because it came highly reviewed on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed! The hotel staff were phenomenal, welcome drinks when we got there, the rooms were really nice (we booked the King deluxe). The hotel was really well situated, being pretty much in the heart of Siem Reap city so we had no troubles with food and sight-seeing. Getting tours to the temples were also super easy, we just asked the front desk and they arranged it all for us.

Lovely hotel

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and when we got to Bangkok we were pleased to find out it was located near a MRT station (just about 10 mins walk from there), also there was complimentary coffee and water in the room.The only thing we were concerned about was the dirty fridge, because when we opened it we saw that the maid didn't clean the ice in it, so now it had melted and started dripping on the floor and took us a while to clean it.

This was my 4 stay at Angkor Pearl. The hotel is in a good location, only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride to Pub street and Night Market. There is always a tuk tuk in front of the hotel to transport you anywhere. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is good overall with daily changes to menu. I believe this is the best value hotel in Siem Reap.

It was my birthday during my stay and the staff surprised me with a cake and balloons in my room.

Value for money Hotel

We had three rooms at this hotel for our four day stay in Siem Reap. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpfull. I stayed in the suite with my wife. I would recommend the suite if you like extra room, it was quite large with a desk and couch. The only negative was the noise, being on the ground floor the sound from the lobby and kitchen travels down the hall. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest avoiding the ground floor. The hotel has some construction work going on at the moment, but it did not cause too much inconvenience. Our flight out was at 16:30 so I asked for a late check out which was granted without question.

Nice & reasonably priced hotel in Siem Reap.

First of all, the service was very attentive and kind throughout facilities.
Room condition was ok, but just bit worn down.

Location/Neighborhood wise, Walking distance to night markets, pub street, etc., and a couple of nice local restaurants right across the road in front.
The tuktuk driver designated by the hotel was very helpful travelling around.

I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in the middle of city. 20mins walk to the old market. We strolled there and back every night. The streets is safe. Hotel is clean and friendly. Breakfast is good. The girl at the breakfast counter have a great smile.

Do look for Mr Kun if you are taking a Tuk Tuk. He knows the place well. Man of a few words. And he speak very fluent English. And he drives safely. He knows when to slow down, so you can have a better sightseeing experiences. We had a pleasant time with him.

The Angkor Pearl is an older hotel and shows a little wear, but that is more than made up for by the friendly staff and service, great water pressure / temperature and clean rooms. This was our first time in Cambodia and wanted a nice place that fit our budget - that is exactly what we found. It's a short walk to the main strip with lots of services right out the front door.

We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend!!

Hotel in City and near to Angkor Wat temple

I stayed in Angwor Pearl hotel with my wife and parents from 26th December to 30th December 2014. We had a memorable stay there. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The room service was very good. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. You can hire the hotel's Tuk Tuk facility too, to visit the temples which are closeby. Overall we had a nice experience. Thank you Angkor pearl hotel. You made our trip memorable.

Ok hotel. Not fancy, price was not bad either

Otherwise enjoyable stay except following:
- hotels kitchen cannot be recommended. Eat anywhere else.
- tuktuk drivers do not respect the receptions pricing. It is only about one or two dollars, but leaves a bad taste. I would have tipped more than that, if driver wouldn't have tried to hustle
- unfortunately I left some money in the rooms change when I left. I was hoping in vain them to get it back to me. Hopefully the finder had a good party!

Will Go Back Again!

We enjoyed our stay there and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. It was a pleasant surprise that they change their breakfast menu everyday as we stayed there for 5 nights and it would be boring if they were to have the same menu every morning! And they have dishes to cater for all taste buds! :-) The Tuk-Tuk driver Mr Theoun from the hotel is very good and helpful too. He is highly recommended. Hotel is also located within walking distance from Pub St.

we stayed in the hotel for nine nights and it was a very safe and friendly hotel. the breakfast was good and we could walked everywhere such as the national museum and the markets. we had a free pickup from the hotel and the tuktuk driver was a very nice young man Mr.Thy. he was driving very safe and therefore we ended up using him for our three day angkor temples trips and return to the airport. his price was very reasonable too. the wifi in the hotel was quite slow and a lots of time we could not sign in. there is a vietnemse noodle place very near the hotel and we used the wifi there and had some very nice beef noodles.

I arrived very early and the hotel's tuk tuk driver was waiting for me at the airport. The hotel was very kind to let me check-in early and had a maid cleaned and prepared a room ready for me. The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is clean and is five to seven minutes walk to pub street, old market area. Overall a very nice hotel.

Great for the Solo traveller

The staff at this hotel all speak English and were very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was my only issue. Although is is everywhere, the routers are so old that trying to get a proper signal was difficult. If wi- fi is a must this may not be your best choice. For comfort, location and breakfast included, this is a very good choice for a reasonable price.

Great stay

Great service in general. There is a convenient gift shop inside of the hotel so you do not have to go out to the wild wild west to get it. There is plenty of tuk-tuks lined up outside to take you anywhere. The front desk will be able to arrange just about everything for you. Good price, awesome location, and great service.

Good Service-great value

Hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. The staff delivered good service. My tuk-tuk driver, Mr. Hong was patient, competent, prompt and knowledgeable. He made sure that I traveled, safely and comfortably. Mr. Sokea, Somoun, Hai, Bayon and Nai, and Ms. Lyna and Loa provided good service. The facility was clean and looked recently remodeled. The bed as comfortable. Free WIFI worked well. The hotel offered good price value.

Friendly Service and Knowledgeable Staff

This hotel was recommended to us by family because of the great location. It was true the location was great, but nobody told me the hotel was also impressive. The ornate inside decor and friendly, helpful, staff made our trip to Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) extremely enjoyable. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The quality of the room, we had a suite downstairs, and the fact that breakfast is included makes this attractive to prospective hotel goers.

Nice and comfortable hotel with friendly staff

Arrived a bit earlier than the 2pm check-in time and, though I was happy to wait on the comfortable lounge in the lobby, the staff let me check-in early after quickly getting my room ready for me.

The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly whenever I needed anything. The room was very nicely set-up, with a massive king size bed.

The hotel is a bout a 15 min walk (or about $2 by tuk tuk) from the Old Market area and Pub street. I found this quite convenient and considering the price, the hotel is amazing value for money compared to hotels closer to the Old Market area.

Modern standard and great service

Stayed there for four nights while exploring Angkor area. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it's a bit far to walk to the centre, but it's anyway a cheap 5 min tuk-tuk ride. No hesitation to recommend this hotel.

Surprise extras

We were pleasantly surprised by the extra amenities including a free massage and a traditional scarf. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. A perfect retreat during our visit to Angkor Wat. The \"downtown\" area is close enough to walk to, as is the National Museum. There are lots of delicious places to eat nearby as well. Free airport pick up is a plus.

Decent. Or strongly mediocre.

Rooms: The beds were a bit firm, pillows uncomfortable. The AC worked fine though. The breakfast was adequate, but not great. My friend had to switch rooms due to an excess of small bugs in her bathroom (like large fruit flies). The wifi did not work at all within the rooms, though it was free. My room smelled like cigarettes upon entry, and there was sand in our room at check in. It was clean on following days.
Service: Staff were friendly and attentive, though almost overly present. It seems in this region service is more of a charicature of service learned from movies.
TukTuks: we used Mr. Smey--he was great. And he was ready and waiting for us for our airport transfer.
Location: short 2 min ride to pub st. Also right next to streets full of Massage shops, if that's your thing. We felt safe here.
Note: we are a 30 year old married couple traveling with friends. We've stayed at many hotels of similar quality in our travels.

Nice stay

Hotel was small and nice. Not far from old market and Pubstreet. It's about 10-15mins walk. Standard small buffet breakfast and they try to change menu a bit everyday, which was nice. Downside was that, from 2nd day of my stay, wifi was not working probably in room but was working good in lobby and restaurant area. I would stay again in future. Good reasonable price compare to other 3 stars.

The Angkor Pearl is a gem.

The friendly staff are fantastic and nothing is a problem for them. Great WiFi and A/C. Lovely breakfast and thankfully vegetarian options on the menu. Room is huge and spotless. They have their own tuk tuk drivers who can take guests to the temples for the day. I overheard other travellers complaining that their tuk tuk drivers hassled them to hurry when visiting the Angkor Wat complex. My driver said \"take your time, it depends on your interest how much time you want to spend at each temple\". Tuk tuks were a must for me because I was travelling in April, the hottest month in Cambodia.
The Angkor Pearl was recommended to me by friends who stayed here in November and I am so glad they did!!
I will be back.

Excellent Hotel with Wonderful Staff

We stayed at the Angkor Pearl Hotel for three nights in March 2014. Mr. Thoeun met us at the airport and took us to the hotel by tuk-tuk. We subsequently hired him for the couple of days of sightseeing while we were in Siem Reap ($15 per day) and he also returned us to the airport on our last day. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted like family. The whole time we were at the hotel the staff could not do enough for us. Our room was on the third floor and was very spacious. The hotel provided a fruit plate the first day and bottled water every day. The amenities, bed, TV, air-con etc. were all fine. The breakfast buffet was good with all the coffee we could drink. We would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Siem Reap.

Wonderful welcome from the lady receptionist, and the young man who carried up our luggage, wonderul friendly service. Room is beautiful, nice and clean with lovely surroundings. Breakfast average, needs a little more variety but still good. Computers available in reception for use, and staff will rush to put the fans on you, the service is very good and the two staff members I have mentioned are a great asset to this hotel.

Great Value Hotel

After a 14 hour trip from Bangkok walking into this hotel felt like walking into a 5 star hotel. Staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very nice and I can recommend the amok!
