A lovely hotel, well.located to walk to markets and Pub Street. Tuk Tuks always ready to offer a ride. Pool and breakfast very good. Very good shower. Staff are most polite and eager to please. There is a laundry right next door for cheap washing of clothes.
We found the bed uncomfortable, very hard and it was difficult to charge our devices due to old PowerPoints.

It is also close to some of the attractions like Old Market, Pub Street etc. The hotel though I don’t really mind needs a little upgrade.

First time in Cambodia and we both loved it ,holtel in a perfect location close to everything ,staff in the holtel are very friendly and very polite, our cleaners young lad and girl who was very good nothing was a bother to them ,we had xmas dinner in the holtel it was 10/10 service and food was fantastic. The only thing want needs to be changed is the floor surface around the pool as I seen many ppl slip included my self but apart from that i could not fault this holtel it was amazing we will definitely be back here.

The staff from the start made us very welcome. The rooms are clean and the air con is very efficient. The pool area is relaxing with exotic plants and trees, and kept clean and tidy.The furnishings in the hotel include some wonderful carved wooden pieces. The only downside was the beds are very firm , I had to make a topper out of a spare duvet. The hotel is located within a short walk to the town and markets, with lots of restaurants to choose from. Its easy to find tuk tuk to take you to the Angkor Archeological park. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

It's nice but...

I enjoyed my stay here and the hotel is very nice. My room was comfy and the shower was great (very hot). On our last day staying, we had a tour as this is a tourist town. We were running late and our guide was waiting outside in the heat.he told us your guides aren't allowed to wait for guests inside the hotel lobby because the hotel doesn't like the guides being in there now that the resort is a 5 star place. It was hot out and the lobby is huge. There's really no reason to treat people like that. It turned us off of this hotel. The whole town is about tourism, everyone should be treated with kindness and respect. We ended up extending out stay for other reasons, and chose not to continue our stay here. The star rating is not important but how you treat people is.

The bathrooms have no refills and in the showers there is no place to keep the soap, Shampoos or Conditioners . The tray is broken and when requested to change the rooms, they said every room has same issues !! Disappointing because we stayed 4 days there .

Proper hotel with services and a great pool (plus swim up bar)! They helped coordinated drivers for Angkor Wat and gave a great restaurant recommendation. Particularly have to give a huge thanks and high five to Panha at the front desk for all the help above and bringing a birthday cake to my friend on the day of her bday. Very considerate and he went out of his way! Very cool

We found the hotel to be very relaxing and the décor was beautiful.The staff were amazing and were always very polite and would do what ever they could to help. We stayed at Hotel Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa for 14 days. We had two rooms one for my son and the other for my wife and myself. We spent quite a bit of time in the pool. Part of staying there we had the use of the jacuzzies, which had separated male and female, as well as the stream room, sauna and the use of the exercise equipment which was free to staying guests. A full buffet breakfast, which included a large selection of food. Having worked in the hospitality industry I was very surprised at the large selection on offer and there was something to suit all tastes and very enjoyable. Though we did find the mattress in our room was very hard, but when we approached the reception staff about it they told us they would find a room that had a softer mattress and would also help us move our belonging to the new room. As we had booked two rooms it turned out that our sons room had a softer mattress and he switched with us. I required extra pillows which were quickly supplied. I have to say that Hotel Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa was and is a pleasurable hotel to stay at and they are in walking distance to Pub Street, Night Markets and the Old Markets or for $2 take a tuk tuk. We will be returning again and will defiantly be staying at this hotel again.

The best part about this hotel is the pool. It was very clean and there were towels for us with easy access. The location was great, at the core of tourist area in Siem Reap, close to Pub Street and close to the roads leading to the Angkor temples.

On the first day my family decided to try out the lunch they had at the hotel restaurant. The food was find and the pricing was average for that area. However, we were confused by the hotel fee/tax. It was never clearly explained to us. This tax is probably not legal. We didn't really dispute it, but it discouraged me from buying any food later during my stay.

The breakfast was great though!

The room had the usual tub/shower combination, but also an additional enclosed shower. Wifi was strong. The hotel is set back from the main road and was quiet. The free breakfast had eggs cooked to order along with a vast selection of both Asian and Western dishes. Pub street was easy walking distance. There was a safe in the room. The pool is large and well kept, with a swim up bar. The hotel can arrange any type of excursion needed, such as visiting the temples.

We didn't mind our stay however there were a lot of little things that added up to make the stay average and not amazing! When we arrived the reception staff weren't very friendly. They took our passports and next thing we were being taken to our room.Firstly the photos of the hotel are quite dated and the rooms whilst nice have seen better days (for example the floor boards on the bathroom side of the bed were starting to rot near the wall. The breakfast was one of the better buffets we had while on our holiday. The cocktails and food from the restuarant were very over priced. However a few drinks in the pool after a day walking around the temples was money well spent. A few shade cloths over the pool or some retractable shade over the bar stools would be a good addition as the pool gets very hot!

The Hotel Somadevi is an oasis! Located almost in the heart of Siem Reap so very convenient - I found I didn't need transport when moving around the town. It's about 15-20mins or so from Angkor Wat (by reumork) and the same from the airport. The complex is modern, clean and everyone very friendly. My only suggestion is that they get a few extra sunbeds for around the pool.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to everyone!

It has all the comforts of a resort and being in a central location makes this a go to accommodation. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool which was large and clean. The staff are most welcoming and always helpful. Buffet breakfast had good variety and transfer to airport was provided. Local meals and markets are within walking distance. Indochine Cafe just opposite the hotel provides local dishes that are reasonably priced.

Nice hotel till I got situated

I found this hotel after reviewing several on Google. Almost all in Siem Reap offered free shuttle transport from the airport to hotel, with the exception of booking on Expedia, you don't necessarily get it for free or you have to arrange it yourself (why would a travel agency help set up transportation!). So after sending a note to the GM at the hotel, they failed to set it up and so I wasted about 15 minutes walking around looking for my ride. Once I finally got a car and to the hotel I noticed that the hotel had sent me a message while in flight (they knew my flight info) asking if I confirmed the charge to have a car bring me back. Not a huge deal since I had a short flight from Bangkok. Next flaw was the friendliness of the staff, nobody really seemed happy to have you around and no \"Hello's\" when you walked in/out the door. My shower leaked all over the floor. My room also had a gecko in it so what I thought was outside my room the first night was with me. Lastly, the electrical in my room was making noise that was concerning when I switched certain lights on/off. They did grant me a late check out by 1 hour which did help.

I'm very glad that I picked this hotel it was only a 10 - 15 min walk to most places within the town. Breakfast was good but not excellent. Coffee was BAD but there is a little bakery 1 min away that madeup for it. Even though I reconfirmed my airport pick up 36 hours before arrival no one showed up until I contacted them. But in saying that they did upgrade my room to make up for the confusion . Great pool and outdoor area, and yes I would stay there again

Hotel in the middle of everything

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in Somadevi Angkor Resort. Staff was very friendly and would patiently answer any questions we had about Siem Riep. Rooms were very clean and amenities were included. Pool was clean and quite spacious. The hotel is about a 5 minute tuk tuk ride from Pub Street and in walking distance of many restaurants, massage salons, and tourist information centers. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who have never traveled to Siem Riep. Thank you for making our first visit amazing!

The hotel is located near shops and restaurants.

The wide selection in their breakfast buffet covering asian and western cuisine is a big plus.

The rooms are spacious with adequate lighting. It has a nice pool.

The staffs are friendly. The room wifi was fast and my connection did not drop.

My only gripe were the mosquitoes in the evening while we dined in at their lobby restaurant. However, there were no mosquitoes in our room.

Definitely can recommend this hotel.

EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR RESTAURANTS & BARS BUT NO NOISE EVER HEARD. STAFF WORK HARD & PLACE IS CLEAN. WE HAD A ROOM OVERLOOKING THE POOL & IT WAS SUPERB. Nice hotel close to most of the point of interests

My stay was 9 days this time. Me and my son were picked up from the bus station by the hotel complimentary service in a clean and comfortable SUV. Did I mention that this was our 3rd time staying there? We got a spacious room, 2 beds, on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and the new Somadevi Boutique property behind it. The room was clean and all the appliances worked. The first thing I notice was the improved English and attentiveness of all the staffs relative to the first time we stayed there, could be a sign of continue training. When my son had problem with his internet connection, and the IT help desk was able to resolve it without too much difficulty. There's nightly cultural show with dinner by the pool for those who are interested in supplementing their temple visit with examples the intricate movements and gestures that you see carved on those ancient temples' walls in Siem Reap. To sample the different dishes from other parts of Asia, we spent many occasions shopping and dining at the many eateries around Pub Street, which is about 15min walk away. The rest of the time, I spent photographing numerous temples on the outing that I personally arranged.

Nice, Neat and Cosy

Stayed for 4 nights over new years at this neatly set out hotel with friendly staff and good facilities, conveniently located within walking distance to city centre. The hotel has true Cambodian character.

Resort style hotel near to everything

We arrived the hotel with a very warm welcome, front desk has sat us down at the lobby and explained to us their hotel facilities and even places of interest in Siem Reap.
Rooms are spacious and clean but a bit old.
Wifi wasnt working for the first 2 nights, then follow by TV wasn't working on one of the night.
Breakfast is boring and limited selections.
Overall, the hotel is ok, especially is near to all the shopping and restaurants.

Large impersonal hotel

Hotel staff were very helpful.

Very big hotel and therefore understandably quite impersonal (in direct contrast with the other smaller hotel we stayed in in SR). Air con in bedroom got very! loud at times. No sockets beside or near the beds. The wifi was extremely poor, everywhere in the hotel, particularly the bedroom.

Comfortable room and kind staff

I stayed here for two nights. My family stayed here about four years and they strongly recommended me to stay here. The quality was just as I was told. It was comfortable. The staff was kind enough to print out my boarding pass. The quality of buffet breakfast was 4 out 5 for the first day, and 3 out of 5 for the second day. For tour, I hired tuk-tuk for $17 through hotel. However, I would recommend that you hire any of them in the street. It doesn't need special skills to drive you to Angkor attractions. It would be better to give some more tips to the driver instead of giving it to the hotel. Just around the corner of the hotel, there is restaurant called Curry Walla, which is Indian and Cambodian restaurant. I liked curry there. There is a big supermarket there. I bought bread and yogurt for lunch for the tour. Wifi was fine. I hired tuk-tuk to go to the airport. There are lots of hotels around the entrance of Angkor Wat. I thought these might be noisy since most of them were groups of guided tour. I would stay here if I come back someday.

Great location and helpful staff

Location is close to night life and markets. Staff were very friendly and helpful. In particular the tour booking staff. Huge pool and excellent facilities. Would stay here again.
