I had a wonderful stay at FCC Angkor. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Don’t miss the spa, I had one of the best massage ever. Lastly, the hotel bar is one of the most happening place in the city. Relax with wonderful drink after a long day of touring.

Super breakfast, possibly the best western breakfast I had in SE Asia (tasty sausages), the Asian options were tasty also, with lots of options. Only feedback, would liked some personal outside space, however there was plenty around the property. Ps Good sized pool across the road allowing a proper distance swim, unusual for a city centre hotel. Only negative, we had an issue with AC, which they fixed immediately- apparently they need to clean the filters, which could be done proactively?

Great Location
While this hotel has a 5-star rating, it felt more like a 4-star experience. The breakfast buffet was very good, a definite highlight of our stay. However, we were disappointed that the in-room safe was not secured to the furniture, which felt like a lapse in security. Additionally, in our room, the shower-tub setup was quite challenging to navigate. For anyone with mobility issues or older guests, this could pose a significant problem. If you’re considering a stay, make sure to inquire about the bathroom setup in advance.

This is was the best pick for a hotel in Siem Reap. The service was fantastic, the food is amazing, the rooms were beautiful, they always have a cold towel that smells amazing when is so hot. We did a dinner with the ballet, totally worth it if you want to experience Cambodia’s food and traditional dance. The gym was handy. The location was great,everything walking distance .We use the laundry service and we got our clothes back the same day. The buffet breakfast was very good.The staff has the best service attitude . I will definitely stay again in this hotel.

This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at the FCC Angkor and it never disappoints. From the reception to the staff, everything is always here to please the customer. One staff member, Pem who is there at night is outstanding. Looking forward for the renovations and the new FCC in 6 months time.

Nice hotel comfortably outside the madness of Pub Street while still having easy walking access to that whole area. Smallish pool in very nice garden setting. AC and WiFi were good. Restaurant/bar area was nice and morning breakfast options very good. Easy access to tuk tuk’s. Would stay here again

Beware of Compulsory Dinners
I loved this place. Great location, staff, restaurant, rooms, pool view etc. The only reason I have rated low is that of Christmas and New Year Eve compulsory dinners. I understand this is common practice for $140 for 2 people dinner doesn't make sense. I ate the same menu on non-compulsory days for $25 in the same hotel restaurant. Otherwise, this is an amazing resort.

The good first. The hotel is in a good location, the room spacious and the restaurant excellent. The bad. Housekeeping was sloppy (not refilling amenities, coffee, water and it was not as clean as it should be). We booked tuk tuk’s through the hotel, which we found out later ended up costing double!? We booked a guide to see temples and were assured of a great guide who spoke good English and had 10 years experience. He was absolutely awful. I gave up trying to understand his thick accent, monotone voice, boring dialogue about uninteresting topics. I learned more from my guide book after and listening to other guides as we went along. We were all bored stiff- including the guide. I’m not sure why a hotel would associate with such a bad guide knowing their guests will come back unhappy? However, we were not impressed with this hotels staff at all. We felt ripped off, they knew they were ripping us off and didn’t care. It didn’t help we were there for the water festival, which was extremely noisy (until 2-3 am for 3 nights with bass techno music blaring. Understandably, that was out of their control, but how they dealt with their guests concern was very unprofessional. No advance warning of the festival to give clients a chance to rebook in a quieter hotel, no apology- in fact ‘weren’t we lucky to get such a great view’. Everyone was really mad. Nope, not even a free drink, let alone a free night comp.

Fantastic hotel in the French quarter
The FCC was a fantastic place to stay, the swimming pool is beautiful and great for after temples. You can walk into town but is in a quiet area away from the noise and bustle. It could have been slightly cleaner but overall it was cleaned to a good standard. Service was fantastic and the staff were always on hand to help us organise transport and anything we needed.

The hotel was like an oasis in Siem Reap, the grounds are beautifully kept and the well established trees make the place shaded throughout the day, especially poolside from the hot afternoon sun. We loved the architecture of the hotel and the room was very comfortable. The location was a 10 minute walk to Pub Street, just far enough away not to be in the main hustle and bustle. The staff were lovely, being attentive but not overbearing and they were very welcoming to our 9 year son. We look forward to returning to FCC, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Overall it was very good. I enjoyed having breakfast on the veranda. However, as it is often in Asia, beauty comes before practicality. In the bathroom there were no bars to hang the towels and no hooks to hang the nightgown or things that cannot be hung on hangers.

The staff were very polite and friendly and it was nice to be met with a cold drink. The hotel is clean and aims high. Nice breakfast...the eggs Benedict from the complimentary menu were cooked to perfection. A stylish pool area with beautiful trees and a lovely terrace area by the road for a drink. Awesome service and good value are what I wanted to describe this hotel. Highly recommended for anyone who would like to visit Siem Reap but don't want to spent too much on the room coz' you will be spending most of your time visiting the historical site. Location wise, it's between the pub street and the Angkor sites.

This was a beautiful hotel - most especially, the pool area and spa. The grounds were lovely and about a 15-minute walk to the downtown \"Pub Street\" area. The rooms were generally good - a few issues with the air conditioning and hot water but definitely solid. The restaurant was also great and sometimes offers live music. I would definitely recommend on the whole!

Conveniently located but not good value for money
Hotel is close to town so conveniently located. Room is comfortable enough but certain things just kept crashing - wifi was very unstable and didn't work for a large part of the day while we were there and we had to ask a number of times before someone fixed it; electricity stopped twice (albeit briefly) one morning. Don't think they even bothered to change the sheets (without informing us). If you can get a cheap rate then it's a good place to stay but otherwise may not be the best value for money. The colonial charm only really lasts for 5 minutes.

Colonial era architecture (former holiday home of French Governor) and still a post-colonial feel to it (open balconies, whirring fans, lots of attentive staff). Friendly and accomodating staff. We were received at the airport by the hotel chauffeur. Easy to book a car and guide thru the front desk. They also have tuk-tuks available if that is your preference. The restaurant is really outstanding...don't let the \"breakfast included\" mislead you that this may be some mass produced buffet. Each order is individually prepared, and well presented. We had drinks and appetizers there as well and everything was wonderful. If you're looking for a 5 star resort, this isn't it, but this is a very comfortable, clean and hospitable place to base yourself while sightseeing the Angkor area.

Overall comments - An absolute gem in a quiet area, yet walking (or \"tuk-tuk\") distance to centre of town and the temples. Beautifully appointed modern room - the only criticism was that it was a tad dark and we needed to keep the curtains closed as our room was on ground level.
Service - the hotel staff were fantastic - we had the best driver (Mr. Sun) who not only arranged our airport transfers but also served as our tuk-tuk driver to reach all the temples and even down to the floating market. The front desk can book anything for your stay.
F&B - the breakfast was an excellent start to the day - very high quality, tasty and hygienic food. The only downside is that the bar service is somewhat slow and in attentive - I had ordered a couple of drinks before my scheduled spa appointment, but it took over 30 minutes to prepare 2 cocktails. Great hotel. Had a bit of a problem with the tours organised thru the hotel but sorted out in the end. Spa facilities were excellent as was the restaurant and bar. Staff very friendly.
Rooms look in need of some maintenance as a bit stained, chipped, etc. Entry door was very hard to close as heavy as well as not lined up. Design great overall.
Unfortunately my room was near the kitchen so had a bit of noise from there in the mornings.

Rooms look in need of some maintenance as a bit stained, chipped, etc. Entry door was very hard to close as heavy as well as not lined up. Design great overall.

The service at FCC was wonderful and made our stay in Siem Reap a wonderful and comfortable experience. The free airport transfer was just the beginning, and we really appreciated the helpful advice of the staff. We highly recommend booking the tuktuk and guide service via the front desk – our driver Lorin deserves special praise, as he always looked out for us and super helpful in answering questions and offering us cold water and chilled towels whenever we returned from yet another temple run. The rooms are elegant yet comfortable (though be aware that you'll need to bring your own toothbrushes!) and best of all, you can have breakfast delivered to your room from 4am should you plan to catch the sunrise. The food and cocktails at the restaurant were delicious and perfect if you don't want to head into the busier town centre. Our only quibble was that the room is a bit on the dim side, and if you are on the ground floor you may not have much privacy unless you keep your floor-to-ceiling curtains drawn at all times. Overall, we'd recommend our friends to stay here and would certainly stay here again when we come back to Siem Reap.

Had a suite, the 'Ginger' room and it was fantastic. Breakfast was great in the restaurant, as was the food delivered to our room. Staff were really friendly and helpful without being intrusive or over the top.
Pool was ok, not great - we stayed in the shinta mani resort also,which had a better pool, but overall I preferred the FCC. One of the reasons for this is that at FCC staff are there to help, always with a smile, without being overbearing.

Loved staying at FCC and when we`ll get back in Siem Reap, we'll book the same hotel for sure! We stayed at FCC for a week. The location is great, staff very friendly and helpful, the massage (visaya) is very good (but a little overpriced) and the breakfast is very good (could be a little more diversified). But all in all a great place to stay and they will do everything to make your vacation perfect.

I stayed for fourdays in Septmber 2013 and enjoyed the stay with the good amenties provided. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was was quite good. They provided the free transportation to airport. The complementary foot massage really helped to feel better after a long day of sight seeing. Though I did not use the services for sight seeing offered by the hotel I was provided with all the details. I would recommend the hotel wihtout any hesitation.

FCC Angkor was a nice clean hotel in a great location for us. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was good enough to write home about (literally I wrote home about it). Unfortunately the beds are very firm and the A/C made terrible,e noises and just never really got cold enough. The spa prices are crazy... Go in town to eat and for your massages. Negotiate a rate for a tuk tuk on your own and hire a guide for a half day through the hotel when you go to the temples. Eat at Khmer kitchen and sugar palm. The raffles is pricy but nice place to have a drink by the pool!

Pros: Great architecture, ambiance, pool, location and eating areas. Has a wonderful feel that you won't get from a larger hotel. Right on the river within walking distance to most restaurants and bars. Staff was incredibly helpful; hotel guests can charge tuk-tuks, cars and tours to the hotel. Con: Bathroom doesn't have much privacy from the bedroom as it's a sliding open shutter door. Overall this hotel is just lovely and charming with a nice pool area. Would definitely stay here again. Great value.

This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants an attractive, boutique option to the bigger hotels or chains. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was a welcome antidote from the day's heat and the dust of Angkor Wat. The property is within easy walking of the busier neighborhoods of Siem Reap, but removed just enough to be a calm oasis. I loved it, and I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Easily one of the most comfortable, stylish, and personal hotels to stay in in Siem Reap, with design that hints at days gone by, but still offering all the amenities and luxury one could hope for, including a lap pool and a spa. Without exception the staff is present and helpful but unobtrusive and service is top notch. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, prices are remarkably affordable. Would not hesitate to book again; in fact this could easily be one's base whenever they visit Siem Reap.

Disappointing for the price and reputation
For the price the choice of breakfast was quite poor and service was poor too. A few examples. When we asked for boiled egg instead of scrambled we were told it wasn't possible as not on the menu, likewise they couldn't make plain pancakes. The other thing is bathroom essentials other things in the room were not filled up when they ran out, you had to keep asking.
On the plus side, the hotel is a great location and has a good ambience. Also I don't believe this is an old colonial building, or it has been altered beyond recognition

The rooms have little or no privacy. With the curtains open guests or staff walking by can see into the room through full length full width windows.

FCC Angkor is a great small hotel. Impressive service at the front desk, bar, restaurant, room upkeep, etc. the front desk will help you with everything from angkor wat, shooping, dinning, asparas dances, everything. Location is very good, surrounded by the royal residence and a police HQ, so you cant be safer, although the city itself feels very safe. Even though there are plenty of tuk tuks all the time, its within walking distance to good restaurants and if you want to get a feel of siem reap, its a nice stroll down to the night markets area. Back to the Hotel: the restaurant is very good and has a well stocked bar in a really nice retro setting. Highly recommended place to stay.
