Charming hotel in a great location near the centre of Siem Reap. I have stayed here 5 times. Great staff. Too bad they no longer serve breakfast on the rooftop terrace; now it is ground level at the front of the hotel.

Hotel was below average but staff were very good. Check-in was fantastic as rep saw us arrive and came outside to help. It was quick and easy.
Hotel had too many insects…hallway was full of insects as well as the room (dead bugs in bathroom). I can understand having insects in the hallway due to open concept but it was not acceptable for the room.
I thought hotel was recently renovated within past 4 years but it looks quite older.
Pool was decent but water was too cold.

Great hotel! It was a last minute (same day) booking and I got lucky!! Very capable and kind staff, clean and comfy rooms, and easy location. The staff is really special. Very kind and helpful. WiFi is a little slow but otherwise this is a great value! For the price it has to be one of the best options if you want to be in town. Will stay again.

I wasn’t expecting anything special from this hotel. I choose it based on its good reviews and complimentary hotel pick up service. It was a nice hotel but it was very basic and traditional. It was clean and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The driver they sent to pick us up was amazing. I believe his name was Vinpol and he was the kindest man we met on our whole holiday. Not only did he pick us up when we arrived, he took us all around the temples and waited for us at each stop telling us a little bit about the sites. He also took us back to the airport when we left. He even got us water and a plaster when my mother fell over – he was such a kind man! I’m not sure if he’s employed by the hotel or is just hired as a taxi for them but he’s a treasure to them! The hotel also has a rooftop restaurant which is lovely to sit and watch the sunset. Whilst the breakfast was only average, we did enjoy a lovely evening meal there with reasonably priced drinks! My only real complaint about this hotel was the terrible wifi service which DID NOT work in the room at all; we could only use it in the lobby area which wasn’t very good. Nevertheless, it was exactly what we needed for a one night stay.

Interesting stay in Siem Reap at a cheap hotel

Interesting stay at the Angkor Panoramic Boutique Hotel. I paid $95.96 for 4 nights at this hotel via Hotels.com. You get what you pay for here.

Pros:
- Picked me up at airport in Tuk-Tuk
- Large rooms
- AC (when the power works)
- Wifi
- Pool
- Drink prices at the bar

Cons:
- Power went out about 12 times in my 4 nights there
- No cold water in the shower unless you leave it running for 5-10min during the day - this is horrible since it's so hot/humid outside.
- All towels came with stains
- Charged me $12 for what they said was 4KGs of clothes without showing me the scale (I washed the same clothes in Hong Kong a week before and it weighed out to 1 or 2KG).
- Walls are thin so you can hear them start hammering and using power tools every morning at 9am.
- Room was dark and one of the lamps didn’t work.
- Saw a mouse run through the lobby.

Reception was not accommodating nor welcoming. Room was not very clean. Stayed here as 3 of 4 nights were included in our tour package. Sheets did not appear to be fresh on our first night. Never changed bed linen in all 4 nights we were there. Towels were well worn. Hot breakfast choices were very limited. Location was not convenient to pub street, it’s approximately 20 minutes walk which is ok in the evening but not in the middle of the day when it’s 36C.

The first room we were given was not the deluxe that we had booked and we slept in it for 1 night...when we opened the wardrobe a million mosquitoes flew out and when we woke we had been bit to death....the sheets were grubby and you wouldn’t have dried a dog on the towels....we were upgraded to the room we had reserved the next day which was ok.the restaurant was on the 6th floor...rooftop and could have been a lovely place to chill but breakfast was served here and nothing was covered so flies got to it before the guests....it’s a shame because the staff were lovely and some talc could make it really nice...a lot of the rooms faced blank walls and the pool left a lot to be desired.its not a boutique hotel and should be a last resort booking...WiFi hit and miss

Comfortable and affordable stay in Siem Reap.

Overall this was an excellent place, good location. The Staff were exceptional, professional and most helpful. Room included a continental breakfast on the roof top restaurant. Whilst the hotel was a little dated it was never the less in good condition and good value for the price. Our room did not have a view (Sadly). Our Tuk Tuk driver was the best.

We were in a 1 br suite room. It was spacious. Room was clean. Good location. Lighting was poor inside the room as well as hallway. Elevator was under repair when we were there in July 2017. Bfast was good. Front office staff could speak English. Pool was good size although very deep. Massage was room service. Except for the poor lighting, Overall, experience was great!

Then, i went to take a shower and found no hot water.

The room size of the family suite was great for our family (couple with 3 teenagers). The hotel is a little old but it's still okay. The buffet breakfast wasn't that great (little choices) but it serves its purpose. Don't bother with the massages though, it wasn't worth-it.

This is a great place to stay. From check in to check out I was very impressed. The rooms are a little bit older, but very comfortable. The staff could not do enough for you, on the second last day of my stay I put some laundry in and told the staff I was checking out in the morning. It was returned to my room 2 hours later all done! Good breakfast on the roof, I would stay here again for sure.

Had two nights here as I wanted to visit Angkor Wat. Hotel was easy to find, couple of dollars in a tuk tuk from the bus station where we got dropped off.
Staff are incredibly helpful, speak really good English and gave a very detailed brief about the hotel and what they offer.
I needed 2 bus tickets to get me back to Bangkok and the man from reception went down to the bus station to get them for me and I had the tickets in my hand 20 minutes later. Room was spacious and comfortable, good wifi throughout the hotel. Decent buffet selection for breakfast which is served on the rooftop.
About a 10 minute walk to Pub street and the local markets so very convenient.
I would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

The Hotel is well located, walking distance to the market and restaurants, anyway in Siem Reap you can go anywhere with a tuk tuk. We stayed in a family room which was really comfortable, it was two bedrooms connected. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is located about less than 2km away pubstreet and the other night time attractions. It is a just simple walk down the main road and it is really safe to walk even at night.

As for the hotel, the staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Asked for additional items like towels and pillows and they were all provided. The complimentary buffet breakfast was of a very good spread too, surprisingly.

This hotel was lovely with a top floor terrace where they have a free breakfast every morning and an extremely friendly staff. Bike rentals were $3 and the pool was nice as well. Conveniently located near the French quarter. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was bc their wifi connection was very inconsistent.

Quiet hotel but unacceptable service

I stayed at the Angkor Claremont for five nights a few weeks ago and I must say that it was a disappointing experience. The general facilities were reasonable and the location was suitable for me in the sense that although it was not walking distance from the Bar Street but at the same time it was very quiet.

The problem is the hotel staff. Like most Cambodians that I met, they were very friendly and pleasant people. However their level of English was way below the minimal level needed to work in a hotel for foreigners. Far below the level of guides and restaurant waiters (understandable), far below the level of tuk-tuk drivers (surprising). I would go as far as to say that the level was not even as good as those people working in street stalls (not acceptable).

Also if they do not understand then they should indicate that they do not understand, instead of saying \"yes\" or \"no problem\". At least then you would make alternative arrangements rather than being disappointed later. I should add the night staff was even worse.

Even in small town $10 guest houses in the far North, I got relaible hot water and room cleaned every day. However I regret that this was not the case for this hotel.

Pros: Nice and clean hotel room and bathroom, good air conditioning, room cleaned and bottled water brought up each day. Great breakfast on the roof every morning! The place is a 10 minute walk to the center. Cons: We could not get wifi in our room. The towels are stained and feel like cardboard. When we ordered a one hour in room massage for two it was only 45 minutes and the girls used our bath towels to wipe up the oil instead of bringing clean ones with them so we were stuck with oily towels until the next day. The front desk staff kept changing the prices of things - first they would tell us one price, then change it to one higher in a minute and then when we came downstairs to pay it would be even more high! (this happened twice so it's not just one missunderstanding) When we were leaving the hotel the front desk wouldn't even help us get a tuk-tuk! Overall a nice hotel but not great customer service.

This was my second stay at this property in thelast couple of years.
Checked in and was informed that the lift was under repair and would
Not be working for my entire stay.
I was booked into a room on the top floor and as I am no sprig chicken
Not an easy task to climb the stairs.
Hot water service was found wanting during the morning peak period
Beer garden bar was also under repair so closed my entire stay.
My pre arranged airport pick up did not arrive as they thought I was
Arriving at 11.30pm instead of 11.30 am. Other than that had a good
Stay.

Great value for price but don't book bus services

Fantastic hotel for the price, decent breakfast provided. The only downfall to this hotel was when I requested for them to book our bus with Mekong Express to Ho Chi Mihn they booked with their own booking agent without our knowledge. I was unhappy when the bus came to collect us as we were travelling with a 3 year old child and their buses were very unsafe for the 15 hour trip also stopping to pick up locals overcrowding the bus. The price was highly inflated for this bus service. We were also told they would provide us with a packed breakfast but was never supplied upon departure. Other than this incident we we're very pleased with the hotel overall.

Our stay of 5D4N was very pleasant. We stayed at the 5th floor. We loved the location of the hotel and the overall cleanliness of the place. Most of the nights we'd just walk back from Pub street or the old market. The wi-fi connection in the room, however, wasn't very strong. The room was very cosy, really loved the hundred odd channels on the tv. Warm water was available in the shower, and the cupboard space was roomy. The daily morning breakfast was enough to energize us for the long trips to the temples. Staff was very helpful, no communication problems at all.

My son and I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. We were vey pleased. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. The owner was very cordial and helpful. The location was quite and near all the attractions we wanted to visit. The buffet breakfast was delicious. My only complaint is that there was no breakfast meat (ham, bacon, sausage) available in the buffet. I can recommend the hotel without reservation.

The room was spacious and clean. No hairdryer in bathroom, I asked for one at reception and was told that they didn't have any. Some staff not very helpful with tours so I decided to go to a travel agency and got a better deal. Breakfast was basic, no meats, just rice, noodles, bread and some fruit. I would not stay at this hotel again. WiFi was very slow and 1 night not working.

The hotel is in a quiet side street but close enough to Siem Reap centre (walking distance, or by tuk tuk). Tuk tuk transport is easily available at the front door at USD 2 or 3 for the trip. The overall hotel feel is relaxed. It took us about 3 days in Siem Reap to determine the time. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly in a relaxed manner - we liked this. The hotel is relatively simple, but clean and comfortable, with a pool. The roof-top restaurant is good for breakfast and drinks in the evening, and has a nice outlook, but the dinner options in town are better and priced a bit lower. Staff in the restaurant were very helpful, friendlyand genuine. Overall, a good hotel for us (family of 6), priced very reasonably and we would definitely return there.

Great value hotel

Very good experience had by our family on our first trip to Cambodia. Spaciousness of the family suite was very good, and the room was very clean and well presented generally. If we had to nitpick, the bathroom was only adequate, the soaps provided were of a poor quality, and the room lighting was very dim. This didn't worry us though, and the staff were wonderful and were always keen to help. The hotel organised a day tour of Angkor with a guide, and minivan at $80 + $20 pp park entrance fee. This was personalised for our family, and excellent. I'd recommend this over the cheaper cattle coaches anytime! Overall a great place to base yourselves to visit Siem Reap.

Most welcoming and helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. Our spotlessly clean room was spacious and very comfortable.

Loved the rooftop restaurant - substantial buffet breakfast served. Dined in the restaurant twice - first class service and food both times.

The pool is very welcome after a day sight seeing.

Located just away from the hustle & bustle on a quiet side street - perfect for us!

Would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly use again.

A great boutique experience

We loved this hotel. Even though we stayed here in the off season and they were a bit short staffed they provided great service. The room was clean and comfortable, the building is beautiful and the area of town was great. We loved starting the day off on the rooftop restaurant that gives great views of the city. Located on a quiet sidestreet off the river, was within walking distance of the Night Market, the river and most of the best restaurants. Also only a 1 minute walk to a convenience store and ATM.

When we booked this hotel we were looking for a few essentials like 1,WiFi in the rooms, 2 Breakfast, 3, Aircon, 4, Pool 5, Close proximity to town. On our 5 night stay the Wifi only worked for the first day, then it failed.(we were told it was going to be fixed but it never happened) The breakfast was very very average. Although it was the hot season the only way we could get cool enough for a comfortable sleep was to move the bed directly below the aircon the pool was OK not huge but OK, and it was a short TukTuk ride to town (if you decided to take the 15 min walk you were overheated by the time you got there).
on the positive side the staff were friendly and the place was generally clean. we wouldn't rush back to stay again sorry :-(

Claremont Hotel - Best value for money!

We have stayed in several hotels in southeast asia and this hotel is among the very best in value for money. The rooms are really comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel has a very nice pool, if not very big. Its within 10 minutes (walking) from Pub Street where all the action happens, far enough to avoid all the annoyances of crowds and close enough to walk. They also set us up with a very good tour guide (the best we've had so far in our trip) for Angkor Wat. The staff is friendly and tried to make our stay comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel.

The airport is within a 25 minute tuk tuk ride, and right outside the hotel there are two main streets where you can always find one.

Nice hotel in a quiet area

This was a nice sized hotel with great front desk staff during the day. The hotel location is a bit far from the main areas, but you can walk there within 15-20 minutes or take a tuk tuk for $1 USD. The plus is that they do offer an airport pick up and drop off service (not all hotels do). The room was clean and comfortable - the only concerns I had were that there wasn't always hot water (I think I only found hot water about 1 hour a day), so a hot shower isn't possible every day. It's in a quiet area which can be a plus for some people who want some rest and relaxation.

The only reasons I wouldn't recommend it (or wouldn't stay there again) is because: 1) no guaranteed hot water showers; 2) it'd be nice to be 5-10 min walking from the main area 3) the night guard doesn't really speak English (and he comes on duty early, around 8pm or so). He couldn't really communicate with me regarding my needs, and forgot to give me a wake up call (luckily, my alarm went off and I got up).

Amazing value and massive room!

Great hotel situated about 15 minutes walk from the main tourist hub of Siem Reap. For the price we paid the room was massive and was a welcome relief after the long journey from Bangkok. Staff are friendly and always on hand to help, breakfast buffet offered a good variety and hotel was clean and tidy.

Claremont Angkor good for sightseeing

This hotel does what is asked: clean rooms, air-conditioning, friendly service. Perfect for exploring the Angkor complex and Siem Reap, but a bit spartan. Complimentary breakfast lacking in quality and quantity, but view from restaurant very good. Close to the river and easy to find after a night out.

A good choice

Hotel is located a pleasant 15 minute walk along the river side promenade from the Old Market area where there are lots of restaurants and bars.
Location is quiet. Room was very good although a bit rustic. Breakfast on the excellent roof terrace was a great way to start the day. Pool area and pool a disapointment so I wouldn't go there if you want a pool. Staff all very pleasant.
